Atlantic City, NJ: Light-heavyweight contender Lionell “Lonnie B.” Thompson (15-2-0, 9 KOs) hopes to continue his climb into the world title picture when he boxes Radivoje Kalajdzic (14-0-0, 10 KOs) in a 10-round contest next Saturday evening, March 29, at Boardwalk Hall.

The Thompson-Kalajdzic match tops a stacked card in support of the scheduled 12-round main event between WBO Light Heavyweight Champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (23-0-1, 21 KOs) and undefeated challenger Cedric “L.O.W.” Agnew (26-0-0, 13 KOs) in a HBO-televised contest. Continue reading

ATLANTIC CITY – When light heavyweights Ryan Coyne, 21-1, 9 KOs, and Lionell Thompson, 14-2, 9 KOs, lock horns in their 10-round co-feature bout Saturday night, the two boxers will be fighting for both the win and to steal the nationally televised show. The prime opportunity opens the NBC Sports Network telecast beginning at 8PM, December 14th, from Resorts International Hotel and Casino. Light heavyweight Lionell “Lonnie B” Thompson (14-2, 9 KOs) continues on his personal path of retribution this Saturday night as he takes on Ryan “The Irish Outlaw” Coyne (21-1, 9 KOs) at Resorts International Hotel & Casino, Superstar Theatre, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Lionell Thompson Signs WIth Main Events

TOTOWA, NJ – Main Events announced today that they have signed light heavyweight boxer Lionell Thompson, 14-2, 9 KOs, to a promotional contract. Thompson, an exciting boxer-puncher from Buffalo, NY, was a five time New York State Golden Glove Champion before turning professional in 2009 with a first round KO of Zaid Malik at the Buffalo Convention Center.

The quick win was the start of 12-bout winning streak that included eight knockouts over a three year stretch that took him up and down the East Coast, as well as to Canada and the UK. Continue reading
