WBO Female Flyweight Champ Kenia Enriquez Needs Your Help!

Newly crowned WBO Female Flyweight Champion Kenia Enriquez, who captured her title last November in the last Bobby D. Presents card of 2014, wants to give back to the community that supported her for the first five years of her career while an amateur by organizing the first ever all-female amateur boxing tournament in her hometown of Tijuana, Mexico.

Enriquez fought over 70 times as an amateur in Tijuana sometimes fighting the same opponent 10-15 times since there wasn’t enough females participating in boxing. Enriquez went on to the Mexican Nationals bringing back a bronze medal in 2011. Continue reading

Jolene Blackshear and Kenia Enriquez Headline “San Diego: Dangerous Divas”

In less than a year, California boxing hall of fame promoter Bobby DePhilippis and his company, Bobby D. Presents, have become in one of the most prominent female fight promoters in the country. So much so that in their recent annual convention held in Chicago, the NABF (North American Boxing Federation) named Mr. DePhilippis the female fight promoter of the year. In just six months, Mr. DePhilippis has presented three title fights including the junior flyweight title won by Kenia Enriquez, the straw weight captured by Amaris Quintana and last month the flyweight belt won by Chantal Cordova.
