Video: Mansour and Dawejko Weigh-In

The May 8 edition of ESPN Friday Night Fights presented by Corona Extra and ESPN Deportes’ Noche de Combates presentado por Corona Extra will feature veteran heavyweight Amir “Hardcore” Mansour (21-1, 16 KOs) and up-and- coming Joey “The Tank” Dawejko (14-3-2, 7 KOs) in the 10-round main event. Friday’s show from 2300 Arena in Philadelphia will air live at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, broadband Spanish-language ESPN Deportes+ and WatchESPN. Amir Mansour Looking To Trim Joey Dawejko on May 8

If Amir Mansour has his way, when he steps into the ring on Friday evening, May 8, at the 2300 Arena, Joey Dawejko, his opponent in the other corner, will be clean-shaven for their 10-round heavyweight showdown. The Mansour-Dawejko contest is attracting more interest than any other local pairing in Philadelphia in recent memory. Heavyweight prospect Joey Dawejko, who has scored three straight one-round knockouts, takes on Enobong Umohette, of Nigeria, in an eight-round fight Friday evening, March 6, at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.
