Chris Chatman outworks veteran Brewer

LINCOLN, R.I. (March 28th, 2014) – Chris Chatman couldn’t help but let his emotions get the best of him.

Shortly after beating Grady Brewer Friday night at Twin River Casino, a fight he dedicated to both his grandmother, who passed away this past week, and his late manager Mark Dion, who died from Lou Gehrig’s disease earlier this year, Chatman sat in his corner and cried uncontrollably, a welcomed display of humility for a fighter on the brink of stardom. PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 27th, 2014) – The typically stoic, all-business Chris Chatman found himself star-struck at Thursday’s pre-fight weigh-in until he stood toe-to-toe with his opponent, Grady Brewer, for the first time.

Grady “Bad Boy” Brewer (30-15) is dissatisfied with the results of his fight with Osumanu Adama (21-3) Saturday night in Lowell, Mass. The two faced off on CFC Fight Night at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell, in Lowell, MA “Adama didn’t do enough to win this fight,” he said. “I hurt him twice, once in the fifth round that could have been scored a 10-8 round, and another time later in the fight, I landed more punches and was more consistent, and he was wild with his punches when he got confused and couldn’t figure out how to fight me.” Continue reading
