BALTIMORE, MARYLAND, U.S.A. – On Friday night, May 22, 2015, undefeated professional boxer, Gervonta “Tank” Davis (Baltimore, Maryland/pro record: 10-0, 9 KOs) returns to the ring against Alberto “Ironman” Mora Zuniga (Mexico/pro record: 5-3-0, 1 KO) at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Davis’ bout on the “Rumble At The Claridge” fight card is scheduled for eight rounds, and will be presented by King’s Promotion, in association with DeeLee Promotions. The main event on May 22 will be Juan Dominguez (Brooklyn, NY/pro record: 18-0, 12 KOs) vs. Jonathan Perez (Colombia/pro record: 33-10, 27 KOs). On Friday night, February 20, 2015, Baltimore featherweight professional boxer, Gervonta “Tank” Davis defeated Puerto Rico’s Israel“Macho” Suarez, winning by knockout at 2:13 of Round 1. Moments into the fight, the twenty-year old Davis dropped his opponent with a vicious barrage of punches, ending the contest after just 47 seconds. Gervonta Davis Fights October 8 On Espn2; Holds Public Workout

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND, U.S.A. – Undefeated featherweight professional boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis (Baltimore, MD/pro record: 8-0, 8 KOs) returns to the ring on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Davis will face German “Panteonero” Meraz (47-31-1, 25 KOs) in a six round bout. Davis’ fight will be televised on ESPN 2, and is promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Warriors Boxing & Promotions, LLC. Featherweight Prospect Gervonta Davis Looks to Be Role Model

Its not easy growing up in the city of Baltimore. Baltimore city has long been crime ridden and drug infested. When Gervonta Davis got into an altercation at the early age of 5 years old his uncle decided he didn’t want Davis to take the wrong path that would be sure to leave him dead or locked up. He took Davis to Upton Boxing Center where he met coach Calvin Ford who was the inspiration for the character Dennis “Cutty” Wise on the hit HBO show The Wire. Coach Calvin as he is known in the gym saw great potential in Davis at a very young age and together they embarked on a amateur career that spawned many belts and national championships. Gervonta finished his amateur career with an outstanding record of 206-15. Continue reading

Featherweight Prospect Gervonta Davis Remains Unbeaten in 2014

The 19 year old Baltimore prospect Gervonta “Rambo” Davis kept his perfect record last night when he earned a 2nd round TKO over Joshua Arocho. This was Davis’s first bout of 2014, last year he made his pro debut and ended the year with the record of 6-0 (6 Kos). His record has now improved to 7-0 (7Kos) and we can expect Davis to rise through the featherweight ranks quickly. He is one of the most talented prospects coming up at this time, with his speed and power making him a deadly combination. Now that he has joined the Al Haymon stable expect to see more of Gervonta “Rambo” Davis. Baltimore has longed for a champion and they have faith that Davis will be just that.

Al Haymon Signs Baltimore Featherweight Gervonta Davis

Al Haymon has signed Baltimore prospect Gervonta Davis 6-0-(6KOs). Davis had a phenomenal amateur career with 206 wins and 15 losses. He is one of the most promising prospects coming from the baltimore area. The city hasn’t had a known champion since Hasim Rahman shocked Lennox Lewis in 2001 for the heavyweight title. Davis trains out of Upton Boxing Gym with trainer Calvin Ford. Calvin was the real life inspiration for the character Dennis “Cutty” Wise from HBO hit show “The Wire”. Continue reading
