(San Diego) -Two of San Diego’s boxing rising stars come back home on Friday, October 24th, at the new home for local professional boxing, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley, when interim WBC Latino 140lbs. champion Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (11-0-1, 3KO) and NABF strawweight champion Amaris “Diamond Girl” Quintana (8-2-2, 1KO) headline “San Diego Fights: Back in Business”. Presented by California boxing hall of fame and NABF female fight promoter of the year Bobby DePhilippis, the night is guaranteed fireworks with seven total fights planned for the night. After starting off his year back in February with a come from behind win over Olympian Yordenis Ugas to capture the interim WBC Latino light welterweight title and then continuing with another triumph, this time over the highly-touted Jonathan Chicas, San Diego’s own Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (11-0-1, 3KO) is looking to remain undefeated against the tough Carlos “El Guerrero” Valenzuela (6-1, 3KO) in the eight round main event of “San Diego Fights” presented by Bobby D. Emmanuel Robles Faces Yordenis Ugas for Title Belt!

At the beginning of the year, California Boxing Hall of Fame promoter Bobby DePhilippis of Bobby D Presents would have found it hard to believe that he could have topped his last show of 2013 where local Aaron Garcia stopped the rugged Kevin Hoskins before the six round limit. Along with Garcia’s top-notch performance, DePhilippis featured a slew of local talent in front of a sold out crowd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Diego. By the looks of the line-up for the next installment of his “San Diego Fights” live professional boxing series, DePhilippis might have done just that. Set for Friday, February 28th, at the new home for local San Diego boxing, the aforementioned Crowne Plaza, Bobby D. All is Set for “San Diego Fights” this Friday, August 30th!

All is set for this Friday night’s next installment of “San Diego Fights” brought to “America’s Finest City” San Diego by California state hall of fame promoter Bobby DePhilippis on Friday, August 30th, at the only home for professional boxing in the city, the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Kearny Mesa. It was announced that the night would be a special one since it would mark the return of San Diego’s favorite fighting female Amaris “Diamond Girl” Quintana (6-1-2, 1KO) was all ready to make her way back to the ring after a more than a year hiatus. Unfortunately a freak accident in which Quintana suffered a cut to her left hand will have to postpone her much awaited comeback to a bit later this year. Continue reading

“Champions of Tomorrow”: Robles Finishes Up Best Camp Yet

Robles1SAN DIEGO, CA (April 16, 2013) – Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (7-0-1, 3KOs) of San Diego is putting the finishing touches on what he called, “my best training camp ever”. He and his coach Ernest Johnson wrapped up the intense part of the camp today and is only one pound over the contracted weight of 143 pounds for his bout against Joshua “Superman” Marks this Friday, April 19th, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel at 7:30 p.m. With an unblemished record, Robles feels a little pressure to shine in front of his home crowd.

“This is the biggest fight of my career so far and I know it will be a tough fight against Marks. I trained very well and with a win over Marks, I will be in line for bigger fights,” stated an enthusiastic Robles.
