“Fight Night” stacked card set for Chicago’s Horseshoe Hammond tomorrow night

Chicago, IL (June 19, 2014) A stacked card of action packed professional boxing is planned this Friday Night, June 20 for Chicago fight fans as the latest installment of the acclaimed “FIGHT NIGHT at the HORSESHOE HAMMOND” is presented by the Windy City’s longtime leading promoter Hitz Boxing in association with Round 3 Productions.

Dimar Ortuz pulls out of “Night of the Rising Stars” due to injury

Chicago, IL, Thursday, August 15, 2013–Bobby Hitz announced today that Dimar Ortuz (9-0, 6 KOs) has informed him that due to injury he will have to pull out of the upcoming “Night of the Rising Stars” card on Friday, August 30 at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, IL. Ortuz, a dynamic cruiserweight from Chicago, injured himself serving as sparring partner working with other boxers training for their upcoming fights. Bobby Hitz announces expanded lineup for two upcoming “Fight Night” cards

Chicago, IL, Wednesday, August 7, 2013–Bobby Hitz has announced expanded line ups for Hitz Boxing’s two upcoming “Fight Night” series cards. On Friday, August 30 at Dimar Ortuz joins the “Night of the Rising Stars” card at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, IL, which also includes Antonio Canas, Ricardo Chavez, Fidel Navarette, Roy Navarro, Adan Ortiz and Semajay Thomas. Two weeks later Johnny “Wite Boi” Determan will be added to the September 13 installment of “Fight Night at the Horseshoe” at The Venue inside of the Horseshoe Casino in Hammon, IN, which will also feature Mike “Hollywood” Jimenez, Frank “Time Bomb” Scalise, Simon “The Punisher” Buettner, Russell “Rocky” Fiore, Chad McKinny, Genaro Mendez, Rob Menigoz and Nick Ramirez. “Being able to stage two fights in two weeks speaks to the wealth of talent we have in the Hitz Boxing stable,” said Hitz. “These guys are working hard and the fans will be treated to two great nights of boxing.”

As the matchups are being finalized Hitz also announced that Determan of Omaha, NE, who is 7-0 (6 KOs), has agreed to a super flyweight fight against James Smith of Detroit, MI, who is also 7-0 (5 KOs), at the Horseshoe.

“I commend Johnny and James for agreeing to this match-up because both fighters are willing to test themselves against someone with an unblemished record,” said Hitz. “Both of these young boxers know that to be the best you have to beat the best, this is going to be a great fight.”

(August 16, 2012) – Former World Boxing Union middleweight champion “Dangerous” Dana Rosenblatt, who is an incoming member of the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame’s (CBHOF) Class of 2012, retired 10 years ago from the ring and has become a highly successful mortgage broker. All of the 2012 CBHOF Hall of Fame inductees, as well as this year’s CBHOF award winners, will be honored on Saturday night, November 17 at the 8th annual Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame (CBHOF) Gala Induction in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun.
