Coming off the most impressive win of his young career, before a near sold out crowd, in his hometown of Washington, DC, Welterweight Dusty Hernandez-Harrison will be back in action on June 29 when he takes on welterweight gatekeeper Ben Ankrah at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods® Resort Casino, in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
Ankrah, a native of Accra, Ghana, is a 32-fight veteran and a former two-time champion in his homeland and he is also a former WBO Africa lightweight titleholder. This will be the toughest fight yet for Hernandez-Harrison, 15-0, 9KO’s, who was named 2012 Prospect of the Year by Stiffjab.com. The Ghanaian fighter has faced top-notch competition throughout his career including undefeated welterweight Patrick Alottey, welterweight contender Steve Upshur Chambers, and the formerly WBC No. 1 ranked welterweight Thomas Dulorme, in all of which he went the distance.
