Millan & Santoscoy Clash For WBF Title In Mexico

The vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens International Flyweight title will be on the line when compatriots Isabel “La Estrella” Millan and Cecilia “La Artillera” Santoscoy square off on Saturday August 29 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
30-year-old Millan turned professional in 2011, and won her first four bouts in convincing fashion before going through a rough patch in 2013 with a draw and a loss in consecutive fights. She came back strong and won six on the spin, before coming up short last year against 28-7-1 former world champion Esmeralda Moreno. Continue reading

In what was a busy night of World Boxing Federation (WBF) championship action, titles were retained and captured in Belem, Brazil and San Fernando in the beautiful Caribbean island country of Trinidad & Tobago on Friday June 19.
