Aussie light-heavyweight sensation Damien “Super” Hooper extended his unbeaten record to seven fights with a clear-cut six round unanimous decision over tough southpaw and natural cruiserweight Young-Don Um on Wednesday night.

Record number expected at BodyPower Expo

A RECORD number of people are set to find out what Hatton Academy can do for their training regimes at this year’s BodyPower Expo in Birmingham.

Over 55,000 people turned out at the three day event in 2013 and, with tickets selling at a phenomenal rate, this May’s exhibition is likely to be bigger than ever.

Four-time world boxing champion Ricky Hatton will personally host a series of 30 minute taster sessions at the event, enabling personal trainers and group exercise instructors to get a feel for how the Hatton Academy works. Continue reading

Hatton Promotions Statement On Martin Murray

HATTON PROMOTIONS has taken the decision to allow Martin Murray’s contract to expire.

This means the company will no longer financially invest further in Martin’s career following the St Helens boxer’s unwillingness to commit to opportunities negotiated on his behalf.

Offers for world title fights with Gennady Golovkin and Felix Sturm have been on the table for a number of weeks, but Murray has decided to hold off signing any agreements.

Neither of these offers will be available indefinitely, with Sturm now looking at alternative opponents and Golovkin only likely to appear in Europe once more before pressing forwards with his career in the United States. Continue reading
