It’s such a pleasure to be joined today by Floyd Mayweather, the 11-time, five-division world champion, to talk about his upcoming fight “MAYHEM: Mayweather vs. Maidana 2”. Also joining us is Leonard Ellerbe, Chief Executive Officer of Mayweather Promotions.

Before I introduce Leonard I just wanted to make one program note. The fight week schedule will be distributed later this week, so everybody please take a look for that in your e-mail. Dozens of television camera crews, radio newscasters, newspaper and web reporters, photographers and (video) bloggers were on hand to watch Mayweather (46-0, 26 KOs) work out Tuesday at the Mayweather Boxing Club. Do you agree or disagree that the only way to beat Mayweather is probably by knockout?

M. Maidana

No. I don’t agree with that statement. I think that I can win by decision or by knockout. The first fight was a very close fight. It was a decision that was a majority decision, so I feel that I just have to make a few adjustments, put a little more pressure on, land better punches, and yes I can win, I can win by decision. But obviously the knockout would be nice, and that’s a possibility as well.

Garcia knocked Salka down twice before laying his challenger flat on his back with a powerful left hook with 29 seconds left in the second round to secure the knockout victory.

Garcia, of Philadelphia, showed his skills out-punching his opponent, landing 52 percent of his power punches, 24 percent of his jabs and 43 percent of his total punches. Salka, of Bunola, Penn., landed only 14 percent of his punches.
