Results from Boston – Changing The Game

BOSTON (September 7, 2013) – All pictures by Emily Harney / Big Six Entertainment– Big Six Entertainment, in association with Danny Kelly Promotions, presented an entertaining club-show – “Changing The Game” – tonight at The Royale Nightclub Boston (formerly The Roxy).

In the featured fight of the evening, previously undefeated light welterweight Carlos “The Dragon” Candelario (3-0, 1 KO) used an effective body attack to establish an early advantage against veteran “Steamin'” Josh Beeman (4-13-4, 2 KOs). Beeman, however, dropped Candelario at the end of the third round with a picture-perfect left hook to deadlock the scoring, and switch the momentum of the fight. It all came down to the fourth and final round, in which Beeman prevailed to win a majority decision (38-37, 38-37, 38-38). Beeman hadn’t won a fight in nearly five years, going 0-11-2 during that stretch. Continue reading

Tommy Morrison Death Certificate — No Mention of AIDS

Boxing champ Tommy Morrison — who starred in “Rocky 5″ — died from a blood infection … so says his death certificate which contains no mentions of either HIV or AIDS, TMZ has learned.

According to his death certificate, filed in Nebraska, the 44-year-old died from cardiac arrest … stemming from a blood infection known as Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Septicemia. Continue reading

Gennady Golovkin spoke to RingTV’s Bill Emes (in improving English) about what he hopes is an “historic” clash with fellow puncher Curtis Stevens at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 2. “It’s a great fight for everybody,” said the undefeated WBA middleweight titleholder. “Stevens is strong with American style, Brooklyn style. Video: Chris Arreola, Seth Mitchell Heats Up

Tensions were high at Wednesday’s final press conference for Saturday’s heavyweight showdown between contenders Chris Arreola and Seth Mitchell.
