Wilkes Steps Back In

Ben Wilkes admits he has got the boxing bug back as he prepares for his second fight of 2015.

The Wolverhampton middleweight returned from a five year ring absence in April and impressed as he recorded a shut-out points victory over James Child.

Wilkes is back in action next month as he appear on Black Country Boxing’s ‘Independence Day’ at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, 4th July. Continue reading

Rob Hunt claimed the vacant Midlands Area Welterweight Title on Saturday evening following a deserved points victory over Sullivan Mason at Walsall Town Hall.

The 29 year-old put in a career best performance in his 26th professional fight to take the title, vacated by Stourbridge’s Sam Eggington who goes in pursuit of a Commonwealth Title at Birmingham Barclaycard Arena next month. Continue reading
