Hunt Ready To Hold On To Midlands Strap

Stafford’s Rob Hunt admits he has already achieved his main boxing goal by being crowned Midlands Area Champion.

The 29 year-old was crowned Midlands King at welterweight back in April with a career-best performance against Sullivan Mason. The Stafford pugilist out-pointed his opponent to lift the strap and fulfill a lifelong dream in his 26th professional fight. Continue reading

Wilkes Steps Back In

Ben Wilkes admits he has got the boxing bug back as he prepares for his second fight of 2015.

The Wolverhampton middleweight returned from a five year ring absence in April and impressed as he recorded a shut-out points victory over James Child.

Wilkes is back in action next month as he appear on Black Country Boxing’s ‘Independence Day’ at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, 4th July. Continue reading
