Cyclone Promotions today announce that boxer Carl Frampton will relinquish both his Commonwealth and E.B.U. (European) super bantamweight titles, as Cyclone Promotions focus on delivering Carl a world title challenge in the near future.
“Carl Frampton has represented both the Commowealth Boxing Council and the European Boxing Union extremely well in his time as champion, of which we are sure both Simon Block of the C.B.C. and Enza Jacaponi of the E.B.U. will attest to.” said Barry McGuigan.
In relinquishing these titles Carl Frampton will afford a fantastic opportunity for four aspiring boxers to contest for these two vacant and highly valuable championships.
Cyclone Promotions, 12th October 2013, Barry McGuigan, manager of European Super Bantamweight Champion Carl Frampton can confirm that Cyclone Promotions has received an offer from Matchroom Boxing on Friday 11th of October for Carl Frampton to fight Scott Quigg in March 2014.
This is a fight that team Frampton and the public clearly want but any and all discussions will only take place post the Carl Frampton versus Jeremy Parodi world title eliminator fight on October 19th.
