Back problems (and other injuries) are going to happen when you fight past 40… They happen to young men in their prime too, but when you’re over 40 it’s going to happen more often. Campbell’s had a good career – not Hall of Fame good, but good. He’s a former champion and been in some great fights. Don’t think about fighting at 140, think about retirement.

Right on about Nate’s chin! To the guys rippin’ Nate, when do we watch a fighter who has been a warrior in the trenches and bring alot of exciting fights and then trash him because age may have got to him as it will in equal or different ways get you and me also (if it hasn’t already)?! There’s no honor in kicking someone when they’re down and nobody on this planet is exempt from the aging process. If you think you are, time will prove to be your own proverbial Bizier.

Cambell should not have been fighting, funny because the last 2 times I have seen Cambell fight on TV he quit. He should not be getting any more assignments

Why is it, every time these guys retire, they’re right back fighting, and making the sport look like crap? Sorry, but Campbell stunk up the joint this week, and Spinks did the same last week. At least Campbell fought back though. Message to Nate: “when you’re back and hips are keeping you from finishing fights, your good days in the ring are over.” It’s time to find something new now, good luck.

Honestly, Nate could probably still be a gatekeeper and pick up a few more paydays but ONLY if he gets back down to 140. Bizier had all the advantages of youth, had a real training camp, and as if that wasn’t enough he looked 20 pounds heavier than Campbell. The weight difference and strength difference was just too much. But I agree with others here that if Nate has managed his pile of money well and can afford it, retirement is the best option. The guy was a legit champ in his day and really has nothing left to prove.

Wrap it up Nate. You had a great career, and seem like a good guy. No use in getting punch drunk now. God bless buddy.
