Explosive!, Bring it on………..Posted January 28, 2013 6:40 pm
Anyone saying that Broner just “pops and runs” has NOT seen him fight… Broner stands right in front of his opponents and he is able to HIT and not get hit which might aggravate those who want to see slugfests but the reality is that he is NOT producing all these KO’s by being passive in the ring… He stood there and beat the HELL out of DeMarco just as he will with all these fighters at 135, his hands are too fast and he hits too hard… His skills are on another plane than these guys….. Broner might, I repeat might be the future of boxing he has that kind of talent…. Gamboa is getting knocked out when he moves up in weight he has some technical flaws that are going to be exploited (reminds me of Juanma) I mean he was down in his last fight against a guy he should have handled more easily even with a layoff….Posted January 28, 2013 1:46 pm
How is Garcia being brought along slowly the guy had to fight Khan to get in the position he was in and he was taking fire to win the bout?… Say what we will Khah had acheived status at 140 pounds and Garcia knocked him cold in a pretty big upset…Garcia has been Champ all of 5 mins and naturally he is gonna try and make money… This would have been his second bout at Barclays against Judah who well draw well in his native Brooklyn… Matts is a seriously dangerous fighter but he has no name and knocking out Dallas in that manner is somewhat muted because NO ONE had Dallas name on their lips prior…. If Danny keeps winning he will have to face Mattheysee sooner than later and does not strike me as a guy who is going to duck…Posted January 28, 2013 1:43 pm
should be a real slugfest and a sellout crowdPosted January 28, 2013 1:40 pm
He couldnt beat ANY of those guys. He hasn’t been in with anyone who could hurt him yet. Doesn’t anyone see this ? They boast and bolster all his opposition up so that by fight time you actually think the opponent has a chance. BUT, HE is never in jeopardy of being K.O’d or caught by a good punch because they make well sure ahead of time that they are fighting a guy that he can thououghly dominate. Now lets pull Barndon Rios out of that pile. Broner would not stick around to be mauled in the corners like Alverez did. He’s pop and run, pop and run , not FIGHT. as he would do withj all the rest with the exception on Gamboa. Here he’ll have a problem. Not be the problem. So if you call pot shotting and running away all night (FIGHTING) I guess he’s out point most of these guys. Gamboa would have the movement to probably give him back the same.
He did call out Juan Manuel Marquez though ………..now Juan is a stationary target of sorts but as Manny could attest , a dangerous one.Posted January 28, 2013 8:33 am
They are bringing Garcia up slowly. Mattesse would destroy him. So they feed Maidana to Lucas, and JUDA ? TO GARCIA ? Zab Juuda ? Are you for real ? Even in his PRIME/PRIME Gracia would beat him. You can’t beat Danny Garcia with out a CHIN, and KO power, both of which Judah lacks, both of whicj=h Mattesse has plenty oif !Posted January 28, 2013 8:25 am
The Mad Scientist
Funny how Broner talks about cleaning out the lame 135lb division and not planning on moving up anytime soon for obvious reasons but his bone headed fans just defeated the top doggs at jr welter for The Problem without ever stepping inside the ring with them,,GTFOH!Posted January 28, 2013 4:22 am
“The Problem would beat all these boxers Garcia, Matthyse, Rios, Maidana and Gamboa.” That’s quite a list of some very fine fighters. Let’s see Broner clean out the lightweight division first. Then, maybe he’ll be ready for the likes of the list above.Posted January 27, 2013 11:08 pm
Argentinians against Argentinian? not that I don’t like the fight but I want them to face the top dogs in Light Welter and Welter first, are they running out of opponent or they just fear them.Posted January 27, 2013 1:18 pm
LOL, are talking about the fight or something on RedTube?Posted January 27, 2013 10:14 am
Maybe next year Broner will fight closer to his real weight. Remember hes still fighting smaller guys at 135. Goldenboy wont jeopordize him losing to any of those guys just yet.Posted January 27, 2013 6:21 am
theres no doubt this would be an exiting bangfest!!!Posted January 27, 2013 4:55 am
Well I don’t think Golden Boy needs to hype Matthysse anymore for a Garcia fight. He did that himself with that knockout. Make it happen.Posted January 27, 2013 1:58 am
I agree broner v lucas would be a great fight for next year. Can broner’s defense cope with lucas’ power? I think he has the style to frustrate lucas but eventually he would break adrian down. For me it’s a 50/50 fight right nowPosted January 27, 2013 1:55 am
Lucas is too much risk too little reward for guys like Garcia/Judah. I think they would vacate rather than take the chance of a beat down. Zab barely survived last time as Lucas finished strong but couldn’t get the ko. I think he is a much better fighter now and has more of a killer instinct. At least the fans realize he is a true champ and the networks approve him. Once he has the full belt people will have to challenge him but he will still be avoided by the so called big namesPosted January 27, 2013 1:51 am
I can understand Matthysse being hesitant because he has been robbed already a couple of times in his career. I think he would take care of Maindana rather easily but Matthysse is also probably thinking he is 30 and his days are going to become numbered. If GBP wants this done they should show him the money and have it writing that Garcia is next.Posted January 26, 2013 4:26 pm
James, Golden Boy’s plan is to pit Garcia with Matthysse in the future.
Who else do they have at Junior Welterweight?
The problem here is that as most people realize the dangers that come with a fight against Lucas, who in my opinion is the best 140 pounder in the world outside of JMM.
This is why they want to build Matthysse’s market value first. So in the event Garcia does lose, it won’t devalue Garcia’s marketability. But according to everyone at GBP, this is the fight they eventually want to make at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly.Posted January 26, 2013 4:00 pm
of course a Maidana v. Mathysse matchup would attract the interest of fight-fans but how is that better than natural matchups between Garcia, Mathysse, Rios, Khan, Alvarado, and even Broner at 140lbs? besides, i don’t think Maidana is enough of an incentive for either Garcia or Mathysse to move up to 147lbs and i’m no longer confident in the integrity of a 140lb Maidana. interested in Mathysse v. Maidana? sure. my preference? not even close.Posted January 26, 2013 3:55 pm
BTW, Matthysse will destroy Maidana if they fight this year. I don’t think it’s going to happen though. I don’t know if Maidana can make 140 any longer and I don’t think Matthysse is interested in moving out of the Junior Welterweight division when he is the next in line to face danny Garcia in the WBC ranking system.Posted January 26, 2013 3:18 pm
Lucas should call out Garcia instead bigger and better fight for him.Posted January 26, 2013 3:10 pm
Anonymous…That’s exactly what it is. Mathysse already stated that he won’t campaingn against Maidana. It’s a simiöar match as Golovkin vs Pirog. Just let the guys that have por and danger fight eachother as long as they don’t threaten our cash cows or protected fighters.Posted January 26, 2013 3:02 pm
BUll sh-t ,,Golden Boy is trying to stall the fight between Matthysse vs Garcia ,,plain and simple ..they know dam well that Matthysse poses a big threat to Danny Garcia ,, Danny Garcia has a bigger following then Matthysse and Golden Boy don’t want him to lose ..all said and done i think Maidana can beat Matthysse ,,Maidana has Matthysse number ,,he beat him in the amateurs several times ..Posted January 26, 2013 2:40 pm
of course he does, its his way of keeping Matthysse away from Garcia. Who Matthysse is already the mandatory for.Posted January 26, 2013 2:26 pm
Hell yeah bring that one on -peacePosted January 26, 2013 2:05 pm
