this division jumping is not all that easy . gamboa is going to find the guys at 147 a lot stronger then 130 in every area

Posted February 8, 2013 9:48 pm

gamboa is 55 1/2 148 last fight bradley 56 147 last fight with pac

Posted January 23, 2013 6:47 pm

not a supe fight but a star might arise out of this fight intresting

Posted January 23, 2013 1:15 am

Gamboa is to weak at 126 or 130 he had to drop 18 pounds over night just to make 130 in his last fight that’s why i think he’ll perform better at this weight and beat Bradley

Posted January 21, 2013 5:11 pm

Ghost will beat the Hype job Bradley

Posted January 21, 2013 5:08 pm

Gamboa will beat Bradley, Gamboa did poorly in his last fight cause he’s cutting to much weight making him weak with ack of stamina

Posted January 21, 2013 5:07 pm

Bradley is the KING of making POOR decisions.. He could have fought Khan and did NOT he made good bank fighting Pacquiao but the reality is that Tim Bradley is NOT marketable he does NOT stop people and he is too nice to make money with his mouth so his arrogance when it comes to opportunities is not not exactly warranted…The Pac Man affair created no addiitonal cache because people pretty much saw him as the loser.

Bradley won’t b fighting Mayweather….Floyd hasn’t been in the ring with 1 of Arums guys since leaving toprank himself…I can’t c Gamboa fighting a toprank guy either after the trouble and forced lay off he had due 2 Arum….although is Arum style 2 have every advantage 4 his guy as possible. This fight shouldn’t b allowed. I would love rios/Matthysse 2 step up and take on Bradley. That jump in weight is far more realistic.

Posted January 20, 2013 8:44 pm

Jorge Paez jr., paul spadafora or jessie vargas could all be quality title defenses for Bradley. I can’t stand watching gamboa anymore, he looked terrible last fight and throws impressive combinations, but after he throws one or two good combinations he tries to take the rest of the round off.

Posted January 20, 2013 3:06 pm

As for Bradley, I would love to see him send “The Ghost” back into the darkness and shut his mouth once and for all. Bradley definitely deserves the Mayweather fight more than Guerrero does. The Bradley/Guerrero winner could then fight Mayweather, even though neither would have a chance against Floyd.

Posted January 20, 2013 12:50 pm

This fight makes no sense. I think 130 is a comfortable weight for Gamboa and I don’t see him going above 135, which just happens to be where Broner is hanging out these days. Gamboa is a great talent, but he gets knocked down frequently enough at 126, so what happens when he gets tagged by a WW? Will he be able to shake it off and continue his attack, as he always did at 126? I think a good move for Gamboa would be Ricky Burns with the winner fighting Broner.

Posted January 20, 2013 12:43 pm

Gamboa is running out of time and not getting any younger, this is the road to stardom and have a pretty good chance of winning against Bradly, go for it Yuriorkis!

Posted January 20, 2013 12:37 pm

listen ,stop gamboa has more power and speed move hes head vary well, yes he got drop before but tito trinidad did the same thig,is danger figth cause how much weight he have to get, but he really does not have a figther rigth now ,so is a win win situation for gamboa,if he can bring some of that speed with him bradley is in trouble , bradley him self has no power ,really is a dangerous fight ,but really who can he figth right now,

Unlike Arum 2 have everything in his guys corner? This is dumb…I can’t c Gamboa jumping up that much in weight…Also I don’t agree with there being no1 from Super feather all the way through 2 welter…who ever wrote this is a tool. Bradley wouldn’t get due credit 4 beating a 5’5 spr feather weight. Arum needs 2 match him better than that after the pacman descrace..

Posted January 20, 2013 5:56 am

Tim has to be favored. The guy has been in there with Manny and arguably beat him with two bad feet.

Posted January 20, 2013 2:55 am

This writer must be a big Bradley hater. Bradley is a really good fighter. Got to favor him in this fight.

Posted January 19, 2013 11:36 pm

stupid fight, gamboa hasn’t even been in with a lightweight yet.

Posted January 19, 2013 10:55 pm

Bradley s one hell of a fighter a few things holding him back, One he lacks power second he is at top rank Arum pits his fighters against each other so he keeps everything in house and he will deffinetely stay away from Mayweather. In the same way he did Cotto. Bradley makes fighters looks bad ion the ring because he keeps comeing and will not stop but again he has no KO power. He is the Chis Byrd of the welters….

Posted January 19, 2013 8:54 pm

If this is True, Arum knows whatssup, but i think its gonna be Cotto

Posted January 19, 2013 8:06 pm

…next Arum will have freaking kangaroos fighting with 8 oz. gloves and everything on freaking PPV…everything for a buck!!

Posted January 19, 2013 8:03 pm

Utter crap. who ever wrote that article is a total idiot. Bradley against Gamboa won’t happen. It’s a stupid match up. What next Vlad Klitch v Nonito Donaire??

Posted January 19, 2013 6:55 pm

this would be a very silly move by gamboa if it were true lightweight is gamboas ceiling and then maybe …142 maybe …

Posted January 19, 2013 5:58 pm

bradley is tough, and he is tough to beat, often showing more heart and drive then pure skill. There is a big difference between Gamboa training @130 and goming heay or training to go in at 147 espeicaly if it is time in life to move up

Posted January 19, 2013 3:59 pm

Gamboa looked less than impressive in his come-back fight. I don’t believe he will want to jump up 3 divisions however if he does then Bradley will get yet another undeserving win on his record.

Posted January 19, 2013 2:59 pm

You said it ur not boxing expert …. that shows on your comment hahahaha lol

Posted January 19, 2013 12:45 pm

I’m BACK by popular demand!!! They’re within 20 pounds of each other SO its a viable match up despite the expected SISSIES that will CRY that Bradley is too BIG.

Posted January 19, 2013 12:38 pm

te tumbo

instead of Gamboa v. Broner? particularly now that Broner has stated his intention to remain at 135lbs? otherwise, this matchup is nonsense. there’s plenty of credible comp in their respective turfs and better paydays. Bradley v. Guerrero v. Lopez v. Marquez v. Pacquiao* v. Berto or Ortiz even. all of those are much more intriguing matchups than Gamboa moving up from feather.

Posted January 19, 2013 11:40 am

I don’t know if this a great match up but both of these guys have trouble finding dance partners so it seems logical. It does have intrigue. I hope it gets made, I’ll watch.

Posted January 19, 2013 11:22 am

I hope Gamboa stops/KO’d Tim!

arum is a lying piece of shi-ite. if that fight happens,i will eat jinkies arse.

Posted January 19, 2013 5:19 am

Whoever wrote this article must be smoking some good weed, Gamboa is still hesitant to move up to 135 to fight Broner since he knows those 5 pounds over 130 make a big difference and this guy expects him to move up 2 more weight classes above that hahahaha not even in your wildest dreams from 126 to 147 with only 1 fight at 130 that he did alright in hahah. Even though Bradley has pillows for gloves since he can’t knock anybody out this fight will never happen

Posted January 19, 2013 5:16 am

Bradley is a good fighter, he would be even better if he lost some arm muscle, its the fact he has too much that prevents him from generating the power because the muscles tense and take the bang out the punch because he doesn’t relax when he throws,he hits with pop but not the one punch KO kind, his work rate and ability to absorb bombs makes him tough to beat.

Posted January 19, 2013 5:14 am

this might annoy some people but I think Gamboa is the biggest waste of boxing talent in recent history, so much skills but no where near busy enough, if you don’t know boxing you wont know him he’s a virtual recluse.

Posted January 19, 2013 5:10 am

i cant wait. I heard Pavlik is also takin on one of the Klitchtko brothers on the undercard, and maybe, just maybe there gonna have evereyones boy Nonito Donaire takin a shot against sexy Sergio Martinez. What a night! Seriously, why even write that article, a waste of our life. and does anyone know why its been so damn long since Bradley has been in the ring? was it his ankles or whatever?

Posted January 19, 2013 2:59 am

Gamboa not ready to fight Bradley — not a good match-up for Gamboa who needs to work on his game a bit more. Both fighters have speed but Bradley has more ring-smarts having fought better competition than Gamboa.

Posted January 19, 2013 1:52 am

speed and power doesnt always win fights /smarts win fights //bradley will finish 50 and win that check

Posted January 19, 2013 12:11 am

I like Gamboa. He’s a very exciting fighter to watch — fast and explosive. But he doesn’t have patience and too often he gets overly aggressive leaving himself open for counters. Bradley would exploit these weaknesses and make him pay dearly. Note to Gamboa, stay away from Bradley AND don’t even think about Broner.

Posted January 19, 2013 12:09 am

I know Gamboa had a lot of rust in the farenas fight but he also came to the ring weighing 147 on fight night. Gamboa is a fighter with speed and power, yeah he gets knocked down but he gets back up, then kicks your ass! Gamboa ain’t getting no younger so it’s do or die time. Gamboa might lose but I’ll be rooting for the cyclone! Exciting fight! Hope it happens!

Posted January 18, 2013 11:50 pm

one hitter

gamboa is not even a top rank fighter he is with sms promtions with 50 and tim is a top rank fighter so if anybody is getting got is gamboa for the rios fight

Posted January 18, 2013 10:55 pm

one hitter

bradley by ko gamboa has been dropped by lesser guys before and timothy has been down wonce by a one punch power hitter so and bradley has dropped fighters before so it anit no thang bradley would presser his ass and hit him all over gamboa gets stopped in side of 12 rounds

Posted January 18, 2013 10:51 pm

So, you reckon 130lb Gamboa will pile on the pounds to fight an undefeated fighter at 147lbs? Dream on.

Posted January 18, 2013 10:35 pm

Not a chance in hell Gamboa moves up to welter for this … not even light welter. They’re just trying to build hype around Bradley’s next date. Not a chance in hell …

Posted January 18, 2013 10:25 pm

The day bob arum dies will be a great day for boxing.

Posted January 18, 2013 7:35 pm

Don Quixote

You prolly right

Posted January 18, 2013 7:32 pm

i doubt this fight happens this fight dnt even make sense right now what weight they going to fight at a catch weight i didn hear nothing about this fight on other boxing websites or anything it a big risk on gamboa part if took this fight bradley is beatable if gamboa carries his speed and power uphe can give bradley hell of a fight then again bradley might be to strong and tough for gamboa

Posted January 18, 2013 7:20 pm

Whoever anonymous is, AMEN. How can you say Bradley is flawed when he’s undefeated and, say whatever you want about the Pac fight, the guy at least made it to the end with the then no2 guy in the world. BTW, this fight makes no sense at all. Gamboa has a ton of good and probably even more interesting fights at 135 and 140 (Bronner and RĂos, for example) plus he just dumped ship from Arum…

Posted January 18, 2013 7:14 pm

Not to mention Bradley is undefeated as well.

Posted January 18, 2013 7:11 pm

I wonder if it is Gamboa, but Arum is setting Timmy up for the okie-doke! Tim is going to get his belt snatched and be sidelined.

I personally think Gamboa, well at least the Gamboa we just saw fight, is a great opponent for Tim. Tim can beat him. Tim is everything Gamboa’s last opponent was but smarter, stronger, faster, etc… Tim will overwhelm him. Easy.

Still, I think the fix is in and Arum is going to get Tim back for making Arum’s last sneaky plan look bad.

Posted January 18, 2013 7:10 pm

Bradley would beat a much smaller fighter like Gamboa, he already beat Manny pacman for the record.

Posted January 18, 2013 7:09 pm

An interesting fight as Bradley has such a light punch which will probably mean that Gamboa is a really live fight for Bradley. I do not subscribe to your comment that Bradley is “pretty badly flawed” as very, very few fighters are not pretty badly flawed when you get down to it. Bradley still has a 0 at the end of his resume(for the record he never won against Pacman but he stayed up-right and was there to collect the judges bad decision. That is something Bradley can be proud of).

Posted January 18, 2013 7:04 pm

Bradley is pretty flawed? He’s undefeated.

Posted January 18, 2013 6:18 pm

Posted January 18, 2013 5:55 pm

Bradley needs to get from under Top rank straight up. Arum hates working with other promoters, same reason Floyd couldnt get a deal with Manny. Or Cotto with top rank. He pits his fighters against one another so he keeps all the money is house he is a snake…

Posted January 18, 2013 5:44 pm

Gamboa is going to get slaughtered. It’s a fight I’d watch but it’s a WTF kind of fight because Gamboa doesn’t really belong in the same ring as Bradley.

Posted January 18, 2013 5:27 pm

H.C.R. Megalodon

Wow, what an awesome fight! If it’s made, that is. I like both of these fighters, and wish them both well.

Let’s get it on!
