if all you have is the official result then your argument is piss weak son. and all you do is keep repeating yourself so it seems like thats all you got. you got smoked again. in parting i will leave you with a quote from the uk announcers “what a shame”. BAHAHAHAHAHAAH

Posted January 20, 2013 9:13 pm

Bears, I pity you, all that writing and you man LOST!! You want to use moments that did not help Vitali win to bolster him? It’s fruitless he came up WAYYYYY short… I mean a TKO loss? Lacerated to death by those crispy right hands and jabs ?? A truly poor result for Vitali, worst of his career… Winner Lennox Lewis TKO round 6 :)

Posted January 20, 2013 6:39 pm

In the first Jones-Tarver fight the fans understood who won, booed the living HELL out Roy Jones — and CHEERED Antonio Tarver… Sred claims Roy was a clear winner, even when it was obvious who was the popular choice of the fans … Tarver, in fact, won.

In the Vitali-Lewis fight the fans understood who won, booed the living HELL out of Lennox Lewis — and CHEERED Vitalii Klitschko… Sred claims Lewis was a clear winner, even when it was obvious who was the popular choice of the fans … Vitali, in fact, won.

round 5 “klitschko is taking lennox’s punches quite well”
round 5 “cuts worse for klitschko and comes at a time where he looks DOMINANT
round 5 “if the fight is stopped now it would go to the score cards”
end of round 5….english announcers have given lennox only round 3
round 6 “klitschko looks strong as he bulls lewis back across the ring” -this is the dogwalking i was talking about son
end of round 6 “they stop the fight the crowd is in uproar”
end of round 6 “lennox has got a cut on the nose from the last round” same announcer that spotted when the cut happened see’s the damage on lennox.
end of round 6 “the crowd believes vitaly got a raw deal. this is one of the most CONTROVERIAL finishes in heavyweight history”
end of round 6 “there should be a rematch but a big question if lewis would want such a hard fight again (questioning lewis) then the gem they say “a SHAME ABOUT THE CUT ISNT IT?” and the response “yes it is”. english announcers call the cuts a SHAME!!!!!
post fight highlight review again they call klitschko dominant. multiple times it is called “a jagged cut”.

Posted January 20, 2013 7:28 am

round 5 “another good round for klitschko”

Posted January 20, 2013 7:05 am

ROUND 5 “lennox lewis troubled and disorganized as he sacks against the ropes!” neither of the sky announcers say anything about the uppercut lennox lands. they must find it, insignificant. hmmmmmm

Posted January 20, 2013 7:04 am

i want to commend that sky sports announcer though for identifying RIGHT AWAY

Posted January 20, 2013 6:57 am

nobody in any of the broadcaste’s can tell initially where the cut was caused and they are assuming lennox’s head. the sky sports announcer does a great jab of identifying the right that causes the cut and he see’s the blood. it was lennoxs “classic” hold behind the head with the left, hit with the right”. lennox used this his whole career and the first time i saw it was his first championship fight where cortez was the ref. his first championship fight was against tony tucker also for the wbc title. cortez warned him IMMEDIATELY and told him not to do it again. lennox lewis would go on to use this countless time in his career and win on it multiple times. so bad all the pre fight drama before lewis vs tua was all about lewis’s holding and hitting / cheating

Posted January 20, 2013 6:56 am

nobody in any language saw the cut or thought anything of what lennox was doing. it was until vitaly turned around anyone knew anything. lol. what was sredmond calling them? multiple flush lefts and rights???? bahahahahahah crackpot

Posted January 20, 2013 6:48 am

Posted January 20, 2013 6:38 am

steward says prior to vitaly fight “the extra weight is deliberate, lennox is in great shape believe me i know”

Posted January 20, 2013 6:33 am

it was so obvious before leaving the ring lennox was being asked by vitaly and then larry merchant in the post fight interview about the rematch. lennox showed he would fight anyone BUT a klitschko and he did all he could to NOT face a klitschKO. it got so bad it forced the hand of the WBC itself who announced lennox lewis WOULD IN FACT now be forcec to rematch vitaly klitschKO or be stripped. the WBC said u will fight noone but vitaly. forced into retirement to a soundtrack of boo’s, lennox lewis legacy FOREVER tarnished. Emanuel steward knew so he pleaded with lennox to rematch. not even steward could remove the fear and intimidation instilled in lennox’s soul by the TERMINATOR, the GREAT vitaly klitschko who was very very green up to that point. facing noone as good as lennox. just an awesome showing an awesome legacy for THE GOAT vitaly klitscKO.

Posted January 20, 2013 6:23 am

So aside from the jab department, the powershots, the range, the ring generalship, the compubox domination a we have english announcers calling lennox defenseless and american broadcast crew saying vitaly won the event before the official results are even announced. we have the crowd booing lennox in what would become the soundtrack to his FORCED retirement at the hands of the great VITALY KLITSCHKO. Lennox would hold the belts for half the year, making vitaly go to independent dr’s to confirm he was ready to fight, making vitaly fight other fights, and even trying to secure fights with other fighters like mike tyson all the while lennox said he wanted the rematch which was wanted be everyone in the world obviously when they are booing lennox and the crew is saying vitaly won the event.

Posted January 20, 2013 6:23 am

vitalys career never healed? the only guy’s who’s legacy got feasted on to the soundtrack of boo’s is lennox lewis thus the conversation we are having today. lennox was inferior in the boxgame coming in averaging 31 jabs a round the most at heavyweight at the time to be dominated in the jab department, range, ring generalship, and compubox. we have already been told the nature of the cuts by the surgeon. so we know it was not the result of some masterful boxing that needs glorified (redmond style). we know it was a laceing and anyone who knew boxing and knew lennox’s cheating hold and hit style would pick up on that right away. i cant blame you, you know neither boxing nor lennox’s cheating style. you went to wikipedia and looked at a win loss record. it was only in july 2011 you even began any understanding of heavyweight boxing. you go around calling holyfield greater than the klitschKO’s…………BAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAH! CLEARLY A HEADCASE

Lennox Won!!! TKO round 6

Posted January 20, 2013 1:01 am

Lennox Won!!!!!

Posted January 20, 2013 12:57 am

Bears, again you cannot bring yourself to accept the loss that relegated Vitali to wins over mediocre competition the surgeon discussed the beating Lewis put on Vitali.. He had multiple cuts on the eye, his cheek was split, 2 cuts in his mouth requiring surgical intervention.. Vitali had to heal for months and his career has NEVER quite healed, always questioned because he has been trying to sell OLD versions of Briggs and and bums like Charr as Lewis equivalents… Vitali could not get it done that’s why his fans are more proud of him winning 4 rounds against Lewis and getting TKOed than they are of ANY of his wins over C level fighters… I feel for you Bears, my fighter won and it’s a truly smug position to be in :)

Posted January 20, 2013 12:39 am

HaHaHa chisora/Helenius is a TERRIBLE brainless comparison !!! One was a terrible hometown decision one was a TKO, neither Lewis nor Vitali are California natives so what’s the rationale?? Larry Merchant also congratulated Lewis as the winner so who really cares about his philosophical musings?? They cannot compensate for the loss and overall standing and legacy Vitali never gained… Larry also talked about Klitschko “hanging on” and the excellent inside work Lewis did to Klits rib cage with his free hand… This all makes for good convo but the story ends with Vitali losing and searching for a historic win for the rest of his career… Alas he will have to settle for a relative nobody like Sam Peter

ohhhhh somebody get the smelling salts sredmond is ktfo!!!!!!

Posted January 19, 2013 10:49 pm

sredmond hit with a .50 cal sniper of a left jab followed immediately by a laser guided nuclear bomb of a strait right klitschKO style…….he is now reeling back, back, against the ropes getting multiple shots landing on him seemingly at will….(much like what happened to lennox round 2 vs vitaly)……i dont know if he can recover

Posted January 19, 2013 10:47 pm

no stranger than helenius beating chisora. it wasnt me saying vitaly won the event before merchant had even done the post fight interviews it was the hbo telecast. again dispute those guys crackpot. or how about dispute the thousands it attendance at staples center. then the surgen. then the fighters thenselves, then boxing coaches, boxing analysts, and finally general sports analysts…….oh wait you have already been reduced to this……..crack pot. im gonna go watch the sky video of this fight for some new sweet quotes….will be posting a link and quotes shortly…….

Posted January 19, 2013 10:40 pm

Sooooo Lewis landed no punches and Vitali LOST how exactly??? Act of God? SOOOO Bears is telling us that Vitali was crowned HW Champ the night he fought Lewis?? Interesting I cannot find record of this instead it says Vitali was TKOed in 6???? Strange world huh Bears??

Posted January 19, 2013 9:55 pm

See! Sredmonds delusional. Lennox didn’t land any hard rights up to the cut and the cut blow was not a flush hit or “hard right hand”” this dude again and again proves to not know what he is talking about. This dudes a delusional crackpot. What the crackpot “does know” is first hand accounts and explanations from real professionals cannot be accepted or it pulls this delusional sap out of the fantasy thus paralyzing him with “cognitive dissonance”. He is overwhelmed with frustration, dread, guilt, anger, embarrassment, and anxiety. Soits funny to see redmond feebly trying 2Dismiss/discredit EVERYONE in boxing including fighters themselves, coaches, and analysts. Is everyone wrong? Naw this guy is some crazy hack who stands alone. So we use objectivity and the full story to draw our conclusions on vitaly vs lennox. The crowd the crew they all backed vitaly. Before the ring interviews post fight the hbo telecast was already saying “vitaly won the event” bahahahahahah!

Posted January 19, 2013 8:43 pm

Bears, there is NO dispute Vitali was the TKO Loser!!!!!! Compubox is a tool that has no effect on the outcome of fights, in fact the judges were NOT EVEN necessary because that SWEET right hand was all it took to begin laying waste to Klits face… Lewis was not Klits who needs 1000 blows to wear his opponents down all it took were some terrific right hands and hard jabs for Vitalis grill to give way…. “Softening up” is what is needed when you lack the power of a Lewis…. Klits did not “dog walk” a damn thing he had one round he clearly dominated (2nd) and after that it was give and take as Lewis turned up the heat…Both Klits are not good when adversity strikes (Wlads terrible) 3 TKO’s and Vitali also lacks the ability to step it up of things go off course (Byrd, Lewis) whereas Lennox walked out for round 3 having Bad intentions and BOOM!!! He delivered!! Lewis TKO round 6, check the result on YouTube he announced Lennox the winner… The best fighter prevailed!! Live with it :)

Posted January 19, 2013 8:05 pm

dispute what the fighters tell you. dispute what the surgeon tells you. guess what? that makes you a crackpot who prefers delusion and fantasy to a reality he hates and just cannot accept. the white dominance eats this cat alive……BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…….

Posted January 19, 2013 5:11 pm

Lewis gets outlanded in round six and DOGWALKED across the ring whilst vitaly IMPOSES his will. Must we go back and watch the sixth round in all languages to see what is said? must we look at compubox to see that lennox was hardly able to do anything outside of holding and hitting and working off the clinch? In the boxgame nobody made lennox look so thoroughly inferior. and to think how green vitaly was going in. after that bout vitaly has allowed NOONE to fight on the inside against him. in a rematch, it wouldve been very very ugly for lennox lewis. lennox was clearly forced into retirement and intimidated when not even emanuel steward and 20+ million could convince him to rematch. lennox wanted to fight on, fight anyone NOT named klitschKO…….LOL…..nuf said………keynote-you dont find fight fans anywhere in the world glorifying a cut. just one guy, one solo out of touch act. sredmond. all you have to do is look at vitaly end of round 2. no marks or redness on his face. hbo does a close up of him then watch round 3 and the lace job. there was no softening up of the wrapper like wlad style on c byrd. it was just a blatant and clear wrist rake lace job as confirmed by the surgeon who worked on vitaly afterwords. I know sredmond knows the hardest punchers lennox lewis and shannon briggs faced and they themselves dont know. maybe sredmond knows more than the surgeon too!!!!! GTFO!!!! YOUR GARBAGE SON!!!!

Eye wasn’t pulverized… Eye wasn’t even badly swollen… Eye was was bleeding profusely from two deeply slashed cuts inflicted on the eyelid wth the palm of a glove.

Posted January 19, 2013 5:01 pm

Lewis landed a massive uppercut and it did nothing to Vitali… It didn’t even shake him… Lewis couldn’t hurt VK with his best shot… Vitali did hurt Lewis and sent him reeling around the ring… George Foreman said, “Klitschko just has to throw his right and Lewis will go down.” … Steward told Lewis, “You’re losing the fight!”

… Lewis got desperate and started fouling. Referee Lou Moret was Lewis’s insurance policy. Is Boxing a a dirty business? Yes it is. George Foreman said, “The referee has to stop this holding and hitting by Lewis.” This was not the only fight Lewis won by dint of uncalled fouls … He was a dirty bird who worked with dirty referees.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:38 pm

A “defenseles” boxer gets stopped, loses or worse. He does not TKO his opponent winning the last round and almost taking off Klits head!! The American crew said “Oh what an uppercut” as Lewis proceeded to win the final round and the Dr realized Vitali needed mercy for that pulverized eye… Holla!!!!!!!

Let’s not forget lennoxs british commentating crew called him “defenseless” against vitaly……lol…….that said sredmond u can repeat yourself til your blue in the face but there is not anyone around the spor who agree’s with anything u say. There’s not even a sports analyst in geneal. There is a lot of fighters I would like to see wlad face on that list I hope he makes an awesome fight again like did wach. Dan rafael spok very highly of wlad vs wach. I thought the fight was awesome too

Posted January 19, 2013 2:39 pm

The goal of a fight is NOT to be up 2 points after 6 rounds, it’s to be up when the bell rings during round 12….Unless you are a 6 round fighter again these are just excuses for a loss which do not impress those who are results oriented… Vitali could have been Undisputed Champ instead he booked a loss nothing more clear than that…

Posted January 19, 2013 12:13 pm

Winning by 2 points while losing the war and taking the heavier more damaging shots… After round 3 Lewis assured this was NOT going to the cards and someone was getting stopped due to the tissue damage he inflicted… Vitali either had to stop Lewis or Lewis was gonna stop him, when push came to shove, Lennox stepped it up and Vitali kept throwing arm punches to decreasing effect… Pac Man was up 2 points last month and look what happened to him? Marquez shut that DOWN….Winners close the show!

Posted January 19, 2013 12:06 pm

It’s Me, Ernie

Vitali was winning the fight by two points when he lost, that’s comedy right there.

Posted January 19, 2013 11:32 am

Some of you REALLY believe that Vitali is undefeated, BUT he is not! Like hungry scavengers you search for factoids to compensate for high quality wins and it’s amusing to see you try and transform the #2 HW of the era into the best of all time…Wlad and Vitali are two guys who could not takeover when even OLD versions of Holy, Tyson, Lewis and Bowe were around…You morons ignore the FACT that Vitali and Wlad had plenty of pro experience by 2003 and neither guy was on top.. Vitali was getting stopped by Lewis and Wlad was getting stopped by everyone else.. They have done very well once the coast cleared (retirements) but acting like greatness begins at 37 is a joke…basically Lewis and Co had to give the Klits 35 years to develop? Nonsense Vitali had a version of Lewis on the slide and he still got hammered , did he need him to be 60 to win?

SREDMOND, do you have a weird man-crush thing on Vitali? It’s really starting to concern me. EVERY time I read you post on something Vitali is in there. He’s great, we get it!

Posted January 19, 2013 9:46 am

SREDMOND – Absolutely true dude. Wlad would get hammered by Lewis, who would NOT let him off the hook when he hurt him. Did you see Vlad vs that awful Polish guy in his last fight? There was a round where he was caught and looked like a rabbit in headlight as he alwasy does when he gets caught. Vladimir is very, very lucky the HW’s are awful right now. Also, Lennox tore Vitali’s face off when he was overweight and undetrained and at the very end of his career.

Posted January 19, 2013 9:02 am

Bears, says “Lewis cannot beat a Klit” EXCEPT he owns a TKO over the tougher one when he was a prime fighter!! HaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!! The denial is as deep as the Marianas Trench up in here… We would have had to wait close to 50 fights for Wlad to even be stable enough to go the distance with Lewis winning is unthinkable, his chin would never survive just like his brothers face could NOT…

Posted January 19, 2013 8:12 am

Tark, you are hanging on to the “he was up 2 rounds argument” like a deflated life raft that long ago SUNK Vitali and it has drowned you… The insignificance of his 2 round lead is not worth mention because Klits is a guy who needed a 3 point shot and he could ONLY manage a free throw… Lewis was not mandate to bust anyone else’s face open in that manner, but he sure as hell did to Vitali and this ends the story, it’s in the books and Klits had been trying to make a name off that fight for 10 years like an amateur… I expect Rigondeaux to discuss his OLD amateur bouts because he has little pro experience… But it’s been 10 years and Vitali is still trying to draw cache from that loss… Pretty sad for the # 2 HW of his era

Posted January 19, 2013 8:07 am

Sredmond is an idiot… Forgets the fact that Vitali was winning the fight when it was stopped…and that VK-LL SHOULD have gone to the cards because the deep jagged cuts inflicted on Vitali’s face didn’t get there from legal blows… What other fight has Lewis inflicted cuts like that on anybody??? What other fight has Vitali ever suffered cuts like that??? If the fight went to the cards obviously Vitali wins because he was leading on ALL SCORECARDS … Lewis won because Lou Moret was the referee, wouldn’t call fouls … and Lewis knew he wouldn’t call them.

Posted January 19, 2013 3:44 am

Fact is everyone around boxing gives the klitschkos the proper respect and acknowledgement of greatness. There are just a few out of touch haters like you and redmond. Guys who’s views are supported by noone. And no I don’t think lewis could beat a klitschko and I don’t think he ever did. He just got FORCED into retirement. Those our my views

Posted January 19, 2013 1:58 am

wow bears – some interviewer kissed ass in an interview, what a shock. Wlad gets sparked all over by Lewis – you know it

Posted January 19, 2013 1:31 am

wladimir klitschko was recently on the jim rome show on showtime and rome asked him who he thought would win if he faced ali. wlad wouldnt answer he said thats for fans and analysts to say. rome said “you know you would beat him”

It’s just that the devision “sucks” ?and hoping for vitally lose ?

Came back after 4 year retirement and fought the champion peters and
Dominating like no one else , sorry sred. But the fact is klitchko is a hof

This is not about Haye being dangerous, and Vitali┬┤s age. If Haye wanted it he could have had 2 fights against top level fighters and if he did well he would get his big money fight, in a way real boxing fans want it. But i think that doesnt matter for someone running an endless campaign against the Klitschko┬┤s

I am just saying that V is a great fighter and has one of the best resume in the business. Two times that he did not finish the fight, it cannot justify your argument that it means that he is not a worthy boxer. Due to C.Bird fight was a meaningless fight (in his mind at that moment: to win the fight and never fight again or to loose the fight and come back to fight thereafter), the second, LL Fight, the stoppage was beyond Vitaliy’s will. So, you are not fair to Vitaliy.

I am saying Vitaliy has one the of the best resume and you are proposing LL, as he has something better… I said V never was down or knocked out and you say what? Oh, he fought the bad competition… So, when LL was knocked out by Grant and Rahman, we need to excuse those embarrassments? Even in the fight with Tua, LL was dominated, and because he was a better technician, he took Tua to the science seminar. Vitaliy from the other side NEVER was dominated, never down, never knowed down and la-la-la…

Ok, enough said… cheers..

Sredmond, Tyson is a unique boxer. People do not usually become anything at this age. Those are totally gifted and rare ones. Vitaly was a kick-boxer at that age. After his injuries, he could not continue with kick-boxing, he became a boxer. He never fought before LL fight with a right mentality: “I see blood, got to put it all and finish it now!”. Otherwise, he would have finished LL in the 2nd and or in the 4th round.

The fact that anyone would bring up the englishwoman with the broken toe at all shows complete ignorance on the part of this particular population of boxing fans. Must be the same people that hang on every word that MSNBC, BBC, CNBC and other government run media organizations “report”. News flash: a Klit/heye fight would be a clone of the first Wlad fight–whether it is with Wlad or Vittles. Discernment anyone?

Posted January 18, 2013 7:12 pm

DG, I hear you on several points, Klits level of competition leaves alot to be desired and the statistical argument is just not compelling enough to vacate the reality of his best win being Samuel Peter…

Posted January 18, 2013 6:46 pm

Vitali has good stats against WEAK fighters and his stats are NOT better than Marcianos who NEVER lost or had to make an excuse and people don’t usually regard him as the BEST HW ever and why is that? Its because he beat a number of name fighters at the END of their career and the quality of his work does not rate… Vitali NEVER beat a fighter better than Samuel Peter, he NEVER unified the division like Lewis did or defeated a HOF level fighter… David Tua who is a second tier Lewis opponent was a MORE dangerous opponent that ANYONE Vitali EVER faced…How can we say Klits was BETTER AFTER a 4 year retirement with injuries at age 37?? he got better when everyone who was in power for 10 years retired and he was left to face a relative LOW caliber of HW… He could not even get a win over Byrd and he lost to an aging Lewis… Beating Sam Peter, Solis and Adamek does not negate that.

Posted January 18, 2013 5:56 pm

Al Bundy, Vitali was 8 plus years into his career and in his early 30’s it did NOT take Tyson, Foreman, Ali, Lewis, Louis, Holmes, Frazier or anyone else of note till their 30’s to win a MAJOR Championship… Vitali had been in with Byrd and of course we know he QUIT… When is a BETTER time to catch a guy historically? In his early or LATE 30’s?? Vitali had a PRIME opportunity to pull off the upset and instead he had to get those zippers put in his face and we all have been hearing his fans drone on about how he woulda’ coulda’ shoulda….

DC… I watched the fight Charr – V. Klichko… It just supports my previous comment. Charr is possibly was a better competition, than others. He is definitely strong, can take a punch and so on. However, he was getting punches from Klichko. You need to understand that ANY person can take so much. It could seem that there is no effect on Charr but after more rounds of the same punishment, it would be different Charr… It might be that Klichko got SOME hooks… out of balance or meaningless ones, but Charr was getting hit strong and consistently.

Point is that, it supports that you and guys like you and even I we expect Vitaliy would not be hit and easily handle the opponent. Then, you define if he is in the good shape or not. But at the moment, including that fight with Charr, Vitaliy was beating up him and was wining. Speculating, that he would be wound up by certain round because of some hooks – is the only speculation. the fact is Vitaliy is winning and shows his power and actually beating the opponents. What else can be said or requested from Vitaliy? He does what champs do – winning!

Credmond, if Vitaliy was at his pick 7 years ago, why he is still undefeated? It was FIRST major fight in his life! All the time I hear Lews was out of shape, he did not take seriously and all other excuses… But nobody said, hey: Vitaliy never fought in this level and what was the pressure to Vitaliy, just as to a person? The next fight, which Lewis did not go to and retired, would be more interesting, since Vitaliy was very different, he became very different on that fight. He retired the champ, even he lost the fight… No doubt, though that Lewis was not at his best, but Vitaliy also was not… Point is that Lewis is a great fighter of his era. Vitaliy is a great fighter of his era… but the stats give Vitaliy more credits: never was down, hardly lost any round, his winning and knockouts ratios, the length of his wining and career and so forth… The lock of opponents is not the lock of opponents, it is just Vitaliy and his brother so much better than the competition, so it is not that spectacular anymore… It looks like all other boxers so bad and out of shape, fighting with either of brothers…

Posted January 18, 2013 5:21 pm

Lewis was HARDLY at his peak he was overweight and at the end of his career, he had been knocked out a few fights earlier by a 15-1 underdog… Klits was 31 or 32 how much better of an age can you be for a HW??? Its SUPER convienent to say he “peaked” after Lewis cracked his face open thats pure nonsense and totally unsupportable he just went back to facing the same class of fighters he always has C- to B at best

Posted January 18, 2013 4:29 pm

Anonymous — 1st of all how about using a handle to make it a little easier to reference you amongst other anonymous’. 2nd Lewis was at his peak not Vitali. He lost to Lewis but many consider lewis the goat even Ali said he was the greatest. He was even ahead on points not that means anything but just saying. As far as Wladimir your seriously saying he sucked because he lost in the 90s? lol you are funny

Posted January 18, 2013 4:12 pm

DG, it sounds like going forward you ONLY want Vitali matched with opponents that have less than 0 shot… You seem to negate the elder Klits massive advantages in size, reach, ect…Its weird you guys want to sell this guy as a this unreal fighter but then you are worried about him fighting a former Cruiserweight?? Who should he be in the ring with at this point? This fight offers the money and there is at least a respectable storyline for the bout…

I would NOT say that Haye is “stronger” than Vitali remember the elder Klit still has 40 pounds of trained muscle on him… BUT Haye is faster and more explosive it should make for an interesting fight..If guys wanna rail on about a prime Vitali facing a then 37 going on 38 Lewis then why not Vitali at 41 facing David Haye who is not a BIG nor super accomplished HW?? Neither Vitali nor Lewis spent a single second as Crusierweights why not let them fight UNLESS you guys think that Klits should only face handpicked opponents of the “Charr variety”

Posted January 18, 2013 3:34 pm

demon – you are deluded! Is this the same guy annihliated in the 90’s? Clearly this is one of the worst ever HW periods, look at the shape of most of them, they are appalling. Lennox Lewis stopped the older, tougher one at his peak. The younger one got serious beat downs in the 90’s and is fortunate that this period is appalling. Get over it.

Respect the champ. Top 3 of all time if not top 2 sharing the 1-2 spots with the older bro. Never has a division been wiped out and the contenders afraid to fight for the title instead waiting for the legends to retire.

Im not saying they shouldnt fight by all means make it happen. If haye should manage to not injure his little toe again lol, then he should win right?. Vitali should fight him there’s no reason for him to avoid it i agree. All im saying is i believe the next dominant fighter at hw is on his way up and haye will not be it.

Posted January 18, 2013 1:27 pm

If Haye is no threat then why worry about the smaller man in the ring with Vitali who was willing to fight the younger and bigger Charr??? Truth is that using the Wlad fight as the hammer to keep Haye out of the ring with Vitali is suspect they are NOT the same fighter and they don’t bring the same things to the ring…..If Vitali fights on he should take on Haye for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and visibility other than that who is he gonna fight? Povetkin would not even get in the ring with Wlad or Vitali and give a BAD performance he QUIT before the fight even began…

@dg…..seriously david haye ran like a scared little school girl in a dark alley. now hes calling out vitali. In hopes that he’s gotten old in the ring and his body will give out. Coward with a capital c. If you ask me the next champ could very well be tyson fury or david price. Id like to see wilder fight someone above a c- cause the jury is still out on him. As for my fellow Americans give up the b.s. we have nobody bc every athlete of competative size is making millions a year in the nfl or nba. Gotta accept reality

Dear expert, then tell us what name should Waldo be fighting?

Posted January 18, 2013 11:35 am

Well David Haye has just re-applied for his license …. Wlad-Haye 2? …. yeah thought you would all be thrilled about that, lol.

Posted January 18, 2013 11:32 am

Just read the article on ESPN. Looks Pov is chickening out. I hope the WBA take away his paper belt then… Sad Pulev is not available… About Fury…He just turned down an offer to fight Price, why would he then want to fight Wlad…?

Posted January 18, 2013 9:44 am

a defense against another bum, just what the klitards love so they can claim he is an all time great and cream there pants.

Posted January 18, 2013 8:53 am

He should fight the new Hulk-like Marquez.

Swedish Boxing Fan

All the “good” opponents are avoiding Wladimir Klitschko at all costs and thats sad for him and for boxing fans becouse that makes the possible best fights to never happen.

Cherry picked midget indeed. Wach was hardly a midget but coming from someone with a midget sized grasp of boxing this is understandable.. Wlad is still being hated by the same suspects but this hardly changes the fact that WK is the best of the best.My pick btw for an opponent for Wladimir would be Chisora someone that needs another thrashing to remind him of just how lacking as a boxer he really is.

Posted January 18, 2013 6:38 am

That Pulev is not next I can somewhat understand as he needs to fight the second part of his eliminator against Adamek (and Adamek got there because Solis somehow did not show up for their semi final). But why not Povetkin? The WBA orders it so Povetkin is with his back against the wall. If Wlad is so concerned about the belts, he should not give Pov a way to get out

Posted January 18, 2013 6:30 am

Yeah ….. why isnt Pulev on that list? Probably the most dangerous contender in europe right now

Posted January 18, 2013 5:12 am

Pulev is a good shout, why is Fury not shouting for a shot I wonder?

Tyson Fury is an undefeated heavyweight contender.. He’s 6’8″ X 250.. He beat 2 good heavyweights who both got title shots already… and he matches up well with Wladimir.

Let’s see Wladimir Klitschko vs Tyson Fury… I’ll sure as Hell be very interested. I loved the way Fury looked against Kevin Johnson. He’s come a long way since the Chisora fight.

Posted January 18, 2013 2:12 am

Boytsov would surprise!!!! He’s the best matchup for Wlad out of those guys. He’s like a Tazmanian Devil!!!

Posted January 18, 2013 1:40 am

Wlad against Haye a mismatch? YDNSAB kiddos…

Posted January 18, 2013 1:07 am

probably against another cherry picked midget

Posted January 18, 2013 12:47 am

I would like to see him against more guys his height. Wach is not that good, he has a punch, he as a chin very average skills and is slow as hell. Fury, Helenius and Price would put on a better show. Even Dimentrenko or dinosaur Grant would put out a good show against Wlad

Posted January 18, 2013 12:23 am

God not another short fat guy. Fury, Helenius would be better Pulev that guy is a freaking beast.

Posted January 18, 2013 12:20 am

Fury would be an interesting fight, however I predict Fury will do just as well as Wach.

Posted January 17, 2013 11:10 pm

DG yes the wlad vs haye fight was boring .But it was one sided what did haye win 2 rds out of the 12 ?. iIT was hayes job to either ko wlad or win on points he didnt come close either way yes the fight was lopsided. 10 rds to 2 is lopsided

Posted January 17, 2013 10:41 pm

Its bit hard to find someone to fight when the contenders in the division are too scared to fight each other..

Posted January 17, 2013 10:32 pm

wlad is dying for a hard fight its just . that no in the world is up to it . He ducks no one

Posted January 17, 2013 10:30 pm

its easy to call all of these guys bums if there was no wlad and no vitali. the contenders who are really super heavyweights wouldnt look like such bums . when wil you admit the klitchkos are that good. ?vitali was always that good it took a great fighter lennox lewis to beat him in a great fight a much tougher fight then tyson and holyfield gave lewis. and lewis would never step in the ring again . and since wlad hides his chin he has been unbeatable . the klitchko would be a handful for any fighter there ever was .when floyd mayweather fights a intellegent lopside fight he called a defensive genius when wlad does it he called boring

Simply the best. Wlad ducks no one. Name one person in the world at the moment he is ducking? Don’t say Vitali….exactly. Vitali is the only one on the planet who would be a favorite against Wlad on a good day.

Compare this to Tyson – ducked many folks (Mercer, Lewis, Bowe) or Lewis (ducked ugly fights like Ruiz, Byrd, and Sanders). Who exactly is Wlad ducking? Seriously. There was a time you could have argued Sanders but his brother pretty much crippled the guy before he could get to him. Wlad also rematched Brewster and effectively ended the poor guy’s career. I’m trying to think of any heavy in any era who could say they fought as well or as dominantly for as long as Wlad.

Joe Louis was down many times in his career. Dempsey was far from indestructible. Johnson was great but not that great. Marciano was great but also 5’8” and was mostly fighting old guys and bums of the month – gotta love the Rock but does anyone really think he’d have a prayer against Wlad :)

The fighters of the 70s were fantastic but they also lost to each other all the time. Foreman beats Frazier, Ali beats Foreman, Frazier beats Ali, Spinks beats Ali, Ali beats Spinks, Holmes beats Ali, M. Spinks beats Holmes, Tyson beats M. Spinks and Holmes…you get the point.

Wlad – just beats every person put in front of him no matter who. Pretty great.

Business as usual…

fighting bums? LOL. Please, enlighten us all as to who is a “non-bum” then in the Heavyweight division lol. Wlad is the best HUMAN BEING ALIVE atm in the weight class. Caring about belts? Wow, you people man. Who should he fight then, regardless of his titles? I’d really like to hear the names of fighters you people have in mind. Who is he ducking? Tell me…

WHO IS WLAD DUCKING????? Find me a fighter he is ducking, and THEN criticize his opponents. He’s literally fighting the best of the best in the freaking world! Please, just mention a name of who the man is ducking, or STFU!

Wow you really need to be a complete idiot to say that Tommy Morrison would have no chance against the likes of Robbe, Solis, Boystov, Charr or Paineta?

Posted January 17, 2013 6:42 pm

And where the hell is Tyson Fury on that list?

Posted January 17, 2013 6:35 pm

What negative posts? One not enthusiastic about the opponents. One, a Haye fan trying to give Haye cred for simply showing up, and another, simply wishing Wlad wasn’t so focused on keeping his belt.

None of the posts were negative against K2 and all are easily rebutted.
1. Helenius and Boystov are not bums. MOF, none on the list are. However, Robbe, Solis, Boystov, Charr and Paineta would all be fair “voluntary defenses”. Each is better than Mivrovic, and none of them lose to any version of Moorer, Morrison, or Golota.
2. Haye was dominated. Yeah, he was able to slip Wlads shots by diving downward toward Wlad everytime he got close, but Wlad was effective as he could agaisnt a purely negative Haye. Wlad tried hard for 12 rds. Haye tried hard for 50-60 seconds throughout the entire fight.
3. Lewis dropped his belts to avoid stylistic nightmares like Byrd, Ruiz, and Sanders. Wlad doesn’t care if one guy brings a lower payday, or if another makes for a boring fight while Wlad is forced to chase him for 36 minutes.

These negative posts against the Ks are getting pathetic. The Ks are the best heavyweight boxers in the world. The have superior size, skills and talent. They are scientific in their training and preparation for fights. They are head and shoulders above the competition. No one compares to Gretzky in hockey, or Jordan in basketball, and no one compares to the Ks in boxing. So shut up and accept it.
