Similar to Tszyu in his accuracy and ring smarts yes, but GGG does throw the jab a lot more. His double straight right is a thing of beauty as his sneaky left uppercut. His win over Proska was good and shows that he can go with an awkward fighter ( Proska has a very strange and effective overhand right). I would like to see GGG in with a slick technician with a very good defense.Posted January 9, 2013 12:59 am
Remember Danny Garcia vs Khan.. Khan was supposedly a sure winner in that fight and we all know how that ended..Posted January 8, 2013 11:09 pm
Golovkisewell probably be too much and too big for Rosado, but can we wait until Golovkin fights a live one until we declare him the second coming?Posted January 8, 2013 9:31 pm
Rosado needs to concentrate on training and let us do the talking……..do his in the ringPosted January 8, 2013 3:44 pm
That is all!! :twisted:Posted January 8, 2013 3:37 pm
Another is Adrien Broner, but not just yet—but if he continues to improve he will make itPosted January 8, 2013 3:34 pm
There is an array of superb boxers, technicians, and brawlers roaming the boxing landscape these days, but finding one that combines it all is like finding a diamond in the sand. But GGG comes pretty close. “Lil” Floyd has been a Perfect 10 but he is starting to get a bit long in the tooth and is moving lower rather than higher. Andre Ward certainly rates high and if the power he showed against Chad Dawson is here to stay, then a Perfect 10 will be his. However, S.O.G. must fight more often, injuries or not.Posted January 8, 2013 3:33 pm
Be nice TarkPosted January 8, 2013 3:31 pm
No kidding??? I predict the sun will rise tomorrow morning.Posted January 8, 2013 3:26 pm
I foresee Golovkin winning by stoppage.Posted January 8, 2013 3:08 pm
You can’t prepare for such a gap in talent, Golovkin is going to walk through everything and trade shots. You have to hit harder and be hurt less. Not likely to happen for Rosado.Posted January 8, 2013 2:08 pm
thats the funniest thing iv heard all week, he needs to get past the first couple of rounds I cant see that happeningPosted January 8, 2013 1:15 pm
Koolz and NEemo have the beat and maybe Junior as well.Posted January 8, 2013 12:21 pm
After watching Rosado’s Last fight(and he is pathetic) I think he will make to the third round and that’s it.Posted January 8, 2013 11:40 am
It is not GGG who is not willing to fight. He is feared by the ‘big boys’. Let’s see a big name step up if they have the guts.Posted January 8, 2013 10:24 am
Some say he is “hittable,” but with so many early KOs that criticism doesn’t hold up. Aside from his 10th round brutal stoppage of Kassim Ouma in June 2011 in Panama, GGG has averaged 2.5 rounds in his last 10 bouts. Just how “hittable” can someone be when he is doing most of the hitting?
Another criticism is the relatively low level of his opposition, but that criticism is offset by his amateur credentials.Posted January 8, 2013 9:53 am
Gabe will be drawn and quartered by the the new “Best thing in Boxing.” This guy has bricks in both gloves plus he is technically sound. This will be a slaughter. Don’t go to the reefer for a beer. Don’t even blink.
Some refer to him as another Kostya Tszyu, though Tszyu had a shorter reach, did not jab as much, and did not have the variety of punches that Gennady has. Golovkin has great stamina, works off a stiff jab, uses combinations that sometimes feature two straight rights, possesses great balance and foot movement, has bludgeoning power, and never stops coming forward. He is the complete package and is exactly what boxing needs today.Posted January 8, 2013 9:52 am
If Rosado is such damaged goods why did he get this fight? It’s time for Golovkins to step up, we understand stay busy fights, but his has been a stay busy career. If the hype is true we are not asking for a giant step but at least a baby step up.
Fair enough comparison I guess when relating this fight to the Angulo fight. But it should be noted that Rosado definitely underestimated Angulo and paid for it by not even trying to slip those early shots. And Angulo throws about every punch with the intention of trying to KO someone.
GGG TKO 6.Posted January 8, 2013 7:42 am
