Bradley has lost whatever fan base he once had, and those who stuck with him know who really won the last fight.
No humility, not an ounce of humbleness. Lost me as a fan.

it was empty aggression featuring “hussle” that invariably placed Pacquiao* out of his own firing range. Marquez effecively feinted, baited, lead, and countered all fight long. it was a masterful performance that only true fight-fans could recognize and appreciate. there may have been three rounds that Pacquiao* took by default, i.e., Marquez taking a breather. otherwise, it was Marquez playing Pacquiao* like a drum and compelling him to fight at Marquez’s pace according to Marquez’s fight-plan. Pacquiao* was little more than a prop for this clinic and fell disasterously short of his own predictions of fight-night mayhem and demolition at Marquez’s expense.

any and all top fighters should be ‘respectful/scared’ of another top fighter….

Both are dedicated , well trained, and skilled and effective fighters.
We all could name ten fights where someone entered the ring ….far too confident…and had his ass and balls handed to him……..

best example comes to mind…..Ali vs Leon Spinks….first one

Posted August 17, 2012 5:32 pm

oh yeh…..pbf is out of jail…..he’ll need some money to repair the damage done to his butt…while he was being interviewed by his cell mates……talk about ‘walk around ‘ money

Posted August 17, 2012 5:28 pm

that good ‘ol warm and friendly , honest and compassionate bob arum doesn’t want Pacquaio to fight Bradley …….means arum can make more money over these guys …before they become corpses………..or maybe he can find a way to get one of them to fight the shortest Title fight of all time….as one of them IS A DEAD BODY….all the corner had to do is prop the guy up…and WHAM….fight is over….bob arum is good for boxing …the way herpes and aides is good for prostitution

Posted August 17, 2012 5:26 pm

yeh….it’s true about Bradley not having a KO punch…..but somebody was raising the welts and swelling on Pacquaio’s face ….check out both guys at the end of the match………….unless we can prove the ref or a guy with high air compression bean bags from the crowd……was putting hurt on Pacquaio … just had to be Bradley.

That fight was one of the worst examples of the insider’s cheerleading ……EVER…..Jim Lampley must have shared in the proceeds….he was that one sided.

He was trying to fry one of the representatives of the judges…and chose round seven …to show his point of view……

Those of you who saw round seven…..or any other rounds of that fight……knew it was very close…..Never say Pacquaio miss so much

Posted August 17, 2012 5:21 pm

Why do some of you folks think it is such a bad thing for a Bradley Pacquaio rematch ????

By far…the most interesting match up today…..given the razor thin decision Bradley took from Pacquaio…..and the controversy that followed.

Pac fans want to see a rematch…and so do most other fight fans !!!…
arum wants to milk a one fight deal into a six fight deal….fk ’em

Like I said…there ain’t gonna be no pbf Pacquaio fight….ever…or if there is…both will be so old and damaged and shot… won’t mean a cold cup of piss

Posted August 17, 2012 5:14 pm

Bradley? I thought he was pretty pathetic. I loved the part where he got knocked then landed on his foot wrong and busted it? His shots just weren’t hitting hard at all during the Pacman fight.
There really is no point in a rematch the world knows who won the fight.
Bradley go waste your energy on another fighter and hope the judges side with you again.

“. . . it will be a different fight with Cotto weighing in at a healthy 154 pounds. i feel that Manny will knock Cotto out again regardless of the weight.” now whose kidding who? we Both KNOW that, despite Your confidence, Team Pacquiao* will never agree to fight Cotto at a full-fledged 154lbs. we Both KNOW This to be the fatal flaw in the proposed matchup’s credibility. so why pretend that we believe differently? bottomline, Cotto at a catchweight or a Bradley rematch are less appealing, less marketable, and less profitable than bouts v. Marquez or Mayweather. the two matchups that Pacquiao* has the least interest in confirming. You must be kidding me if you pretend to not know why(?).

I think with Alexanders performance against Miadana and with him being the favorite to beat Bailey if he does win Bradley should give him a shot at the belt at 147. Its odviously a winnable fight and a pretty interesting rematch.

Posted August 17, 2012 3:22 pm

Te Tumbo, are you kidding me? a Paquiao Cotto rematch is not all team Paquiao’s idea. Cotto’s fans can not wait for a rematch! Cotto’s fans somehow feel it will be a different fight with Cotto weighing in at a healthy 154 pounds.i beg to differ. i feel that Manny will knock Cotto out again regardless of the weight. however,i feel that Paquiao vs. Cotto#2 would sell out very fast.even on p.p.v.,and especially if the fight were to be held in Madison Square Garden.Bradley,Marquez and Floyd may be more dangerous for Paquiao but Cotto will sell more far as the fans in M.S.G. being less than enthusiastic for Cotto Margarito #2,at least they were paying attention to the fights and not doing the wave like they were in Dallas.

The decision should have been overturned, but we don’t do that in Boxing. We leave the stink out there to permeate forever, not worrying about how it will damage the sport. Pacquiao-Bradley wasn’t the worst decision I’ve ever seen in a major title fight. Hagler-Antefermo 1 and Lewis-Holyfield 1 were much worse. Tyson was ahead of Buster Douglas on 2 cards, so that was an unbelievable decision in the making. The stupid thing is, the judges who mark up these horrendous scores continue to work major fights. This is the main thing that demonstrates how screwed up Boxing is. We don’t take any corrective actions …. The rematch should be made, just to do a tiny bit of justice to Pacquiao. Although a victory is no certainty because Bradley is a very tough fighter.

Posted August 17, 2012 1:20 pm

Tim is trying his best to remain relevant. Everyone knows he didn’t win the fight with Pac anymore than Chris John won his fight with JMM. Both fights had bad decisions. JMM moved on never fighting Chris John again as it wasn’t necessary and Pac will do the same with Tim. Bradley vs Pac will be soon forgotten. Just as Chris John did, Tim Bradley will simply keep fighting and will never become a huge draw. Pac will go on to a few more big matches (hopefullyl one with Floyd) and retire. If Tim was smart he would have IMMEDIATELY admitted that the decision was at best contreversial and looked into making a rematch without giving Arum and Pac to think about it too much. When you don’t pull the $$$ you have to know how to act and Tim blew it. At this point he’d be smarter to try being the first person to fight Floyd right out of jail. Catching him right out of jail will give Time his best chance at winning. Floyd would likely take the fight assuming it’ll be fairly easy and the fact that beating Tim decisively would keep him above Pac in the eyes of many. But I doubt Tim wants that fight as he knows Floyd would outbox him. He will avoid Floyd as uch as possible because he knows he won’t be getting any more gift decisions after the last fiasco.

bottomline, Pacquiao’s* failure to score the rebound-KO in a loss(!?!)is the only reason that Bradley remains a viable option. that’s either Pacquiao’s* fault or limit but when status and expectations are placed so unrealistically high anything less than utter demolition qualifies as a loss and That’s Team Pacquiao’s* fault.

i think the same of another catchweight-compromised TBD title-bout between Pacquiao* v. Cotto but that’s what Team Punkuiao* is shamelessly pushing for(?). another Bradley payday is their second choice(?!). for inexplicable (i.e., obvious) reasons Marquez and Mayweather are not matchup priorities. despite being the most logical, natural, competitive, legacy-defining, and profitable matchups. this is the stage on which Pacquiao’s* remaining fanboys insist on declaring their loyalty to Punkuiao*(?). no thanks. as long as Khan, Garcia, Mathysse, or even the likes of Ortiz, Berto or Maidana remain unrealistic options for Pacquiao*, Marquez or Mayweather are the ONLY respectable options for Pacquiao* to confirm. Cotto and Bradley are Team Punkuiao’s* choices NOT those of fight-fans.

Not a single one of these guys can speak in a civilized manner and explain why they think Tim Bradley is wrong. It just shows how these guys are just fanatics. Come on, Pacquiao supporters! Conduct yourself in a respectable manner at least sometimes. It’s always the same thing with you guys.

They’re not going to overturn anything. The WBO already ruled that the decision will stay. They officially confirmed it.

Pac fanboys are truly hateful and have no respect for the sport of boxing. It’s actually disgusting. We all want you guys to go away. If anyone has anything to say that goes against Pacquiao then they get attacked by these vile fanatics. To the guy who posted this: I know for a fact that you never watched boxing or at most had minimal exposure to it before Pacquiao beat De La Hoya. I just know it. Real boxing fans see right through you. Filipinos are great people but they do act in a very crude manner when it comes to anything related to Pacquiao. In their opinion, Pacquiao has no flaws, is the greatest fighter of all time, and anyone who has anything negative to say about him is wrong and should be berated.

consistency does not necessarily imply that these judges don’t make mistakes. Why, for example, not examine the “compubox method” and it’s effects on your opinion. As far as I know Compubox is not fail proof, as someone here also mentioned: “it is still a human pushing a button.” Surely bias can be involved in this process unless proven otherwise? I think there is also something to be said about what judges are looking for because this seems to vary from judge to judge as you have pointed out. How does one achieve complete unity in opinion regarding these matters? What bothers me, and this is why i feel that it was indeed a robbery, is that (even if we were to disregard the fact that an independent panel re-scored the fight and unanimously agreed that Pacquiao won) a very large majority of boxing enthusiasts felt that there was no way that Bradley won that fight. I’m not saying the majority is always right but, with the extremely different views held by boxing fans regarding most issues in the sport, it does seem rather indicative if they suddenly agree on something quite controversial. I have watched the fight a few times and although i did see Bradley making Pacquiao miss he certainly did not do enough to take the belt from the champion, in my opinion.

Posted August 16, 2012 8:33 pm

Agreed. There are some awesome videos on YouTube that show just how often Bradley was closely avoiding or blocking Pac’s shots. Pac probably landed less than 50% of what Compubox claimed (which is still just a human pressing a button). And if Pac was landing straight lefts in the manner that the commentary team were screaming, does any sane person think Bradley would’ve even been on his feet?
Don’t get me wrong, I scored it closely for Pacquiao (same score as the judge that scored for him on the night), but I don’t think there was anything particularly controversial (i.e. I marked down enough debatable rounds from my point of view that made it possible for the official Bradley scores on the night). It’s really just a case that the judges scored all “swing” rounds for Bradley.
Much the same as they scored virtually all “swing” rounds for Pacquiao in all three Marquez fights (and I’m not being a Pac-hater here… I scored the first two of those fights narrowly for Pacquiao and then the third fight narrowly for Marquez). And I honestly don’t see any of the Marquez fights as controversial… they were just close. Regardless of who won, there would’ve been a mass of people screaming foul.

Ambrosio “One-Man-Show” Delgado

So, answer this, who do you think won in Pac-Bradley bout?

Posted August 16, 2012 5:12 pm

Come on peeps,

Take a look at this…
How did the judges score it in Pacquiao-Bradley in contrast to the scores in other fights involving the Pacman?

Duane Ford and Jerry Roth were involved in a close split decision fight with Pacquiao when he fought Juan Manuel Marquez in Fight #2 of their trilogy back on March 15, 2008 while C.J. Ross was involved in Pacquiao’s two knockout wins over David Diaz for the WBC Lightweight title in 2008 and the IBO and Ring Magazine title at Light Welterweight in 2009.

Duane Ford and Jerry Roth scorecards and Compubox numbers of both Fight #2 between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez in 2008 and Pacquiao’s fight with Timothy Bradley in 2012.

MP vs. JMM 2 – W SD 12 by Pacquiao
Duane Ford scorecard: 115-112 Pacquiao
Jerry Roth scorecard: 115-112 Marquez

Compubox numbers:
Total punches landed
MP 157/619 25%
JMM 172/511 34%

Total power shots landed
MP 114/305 37%
JMM 130/310 42%

MP vs. TB – W SD 12 by Bradley
Duane Ford scorecard: 115-113 Bradley
Jerry Roth scorecard: 115-113 Pacquiao

Compubox numbers:
Total punches landed
MP 253/751 34%
TB 159/839 19%

Total power shots landed
MP 190/493 39%
TB 108/390 28%

Seems to me that Duane Ford doesn’t like boxers who land more and landed at a higher connect percentage and liked the ones who threw more, the more aggressive and busier fighter.

In contrast between these two fights, Jerry Roth favored the fighter who landed more and at a higher connect percentage and disliked the ones who threw more, the more aggressive and busier fighter.

So, C.J. Ross is the judge in question for me.
Here are the Pacquiao fights she was judging: David Diaz, Ricky Hatton and Timothy Bradley.

Diaz (T)KO 9, Hatton KO 2
Bradley L SD 12

In the knockout wins over Diaz and Hatton, Ross had scores of 80-72 for Manny in his fight against Diaz and 10-7 for Manny in his fight against Hatton. Ross saw quality damage on Diaz’s face where it was a bloody mess and knockdowns on Diaz and knockdowns and quality damage on Hatton.

In his split decision loss to Bradley, Ross felt like Manny didn’t score a knockdown nor did any quality damage to Desert Storm even though he rocked him with his straight lefts through the center.

So, it wasn’t really a robbery between Pacquiao and Bradley the first time around. Those three judges Ford, Roth and Ross were consistent.

The Bradley rematch should happen. But not on PPV. Marquez’s performances all have been more impressive & more worthy of an offical win, especially compared to Bradley’s “winning” performance. The only people who are dead set against another Pac Marquez fight are man(?) groupies. All three of their fights were great & evenly match. The fight w/ Cotto was fairly competetive but Arum/Roach are looking for a handicap in a rematch. Cotto should opt out of another contract w/ Arum. Canelo is in the same division as Cotto or possibly Kirkland or Angulo(if he get out of jail). Jr should be top of the list for Pac but we are all tired of that story.

I agree tumbo. Pac kod a bunch of guys with one punch, now people think
That’s what boxing is. Bradley landed the cleaner shots look at the fight Pac
Leaves himself open to land the one shot Bradley was looking out for. When
Everyone around you including the announce team are saying Pac is outclassing
Him it leads to this hive mentality the fight was closer than that. Boxing needs to
Fix the way the sport is covered and scored.

Posted August 16, 2012 3:09 pm

Look at Bradleys Face after the fight. Then look at Pacquiaos other opponents face after the fight, there is a significant difference. Maybe just Maybe Pac didn’t hit Bradley as much as compubox and the bias commentators said. I had Bradley winning the fight like the JUDGES had…Thats all that matters. I believe Pac would get pretty beaten up by a Bradley with 2 healthy legs. Bye guys.

Posted August 16, 2012 3:07 pm

Not much of a difference for Floyd actually. Floyd doesn’t have that many options either. Floyd may be able to fight Martinez, but I highly doubt it would be at 160, and if that can be done, well, a fight bet Pac/Martinez isn’t that far fetched in terms of catchweight.

@ te tumbo,

The three crooked judges admitted that they SCORED the fight based on Olympic Scoring System. What? ALL three agreed before the fight to score the fight based on Olympic Scoring System for a PROFESSIONAL BOXING MATCH? If that was, indeed, the case, Pacquiao would have WON ALL 12 ROUNDS because Pacquiao outboxed and outlanded Bradley all 12 rounds. Whatever excuse these three crooked judges made, it didn’t make sense at all; the more they open their mouths, the more closer they will step into the prison ground.

Agree with @Oric31. Bradley said he was going to fight toe-to-toe with Manny Pacquiao. But, when Bradley got bang rounds after rounds by Pacquiao, Bradley chose the survival mode like Mosley and many others (back paddling). And Floyd knows that he will have to choose the survival mode as well if he fights Manny. So, the best way for Floyd is to keep running…

Manny* is “scared” that he wasn’t able to deliver v. two hand-picked opponents in a row. Marquez was supPosed to be bold but old and ringworn. instead, he outsmarts and outslings Manny* for a convincing win in the eyes of any and every true and objective fight-fan. Bradley was equally-prime but prone to defensive lapses that would enable Manny* to score the impressive KO. instead, Bradley wisely relies on Pacquiao’s* offensive recklesness to not only avoid the most damaging punches but to actually exchange to land his own less-than-lethal shots. Pacquiao’s* cynical 30-second offensive bursts combined with his general ring-incompetence to underwhelm the judges and generally accurate scorecards. at this point, Pacquiao* needs to redeem that official loss or take his already customary avoidance and cherrypicking to pathetic depths.

Hahaha… Lets say when your employer does not want to see you work on certain task again because you did it so poorly, then you know what it means. Hahaha…poor bradley.

Correction: Pacquiao picked tomatoes at his OWN will.

hey twin towers you got it right pacquiao was outclassed. outboxed. and outlanded by Field Marshall Bradley

The Twins Towers

“The Desert Storm” Bradley became “The Desert Tomatoes” for Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao picked tomatoes at his onw will. Also, Bradley was a punching bag for Manny Pacquiao…and I am sure Roach has enough punching bags in his gym for Manny Pacquiao.

i could see manny having his doubts about fighting Field Marshall Bradley again manny ain’t gonna be any better in fact he will probably slip a notch or two but Field Marshall Bradley with two healthy feet will be that much better and could give manny problems thats why manny don’t want his title back and will duck Field Marshall Bradley

Bob doesnt think Pac can beat Bradley in a rematc. Pac is one dimensional fighter thqt healthy Bradley would dominate.

I also think Manny should take the fight. It wasn’t as clear cut as HBO was making it out to be. I had Manny winning but not by that large of a margin. Manny isn’t what he once was. Manny just 2 years ago gets the stoppage around the 6th but couldn’t close and slowed down in the later rounds.

Of course he isn’t scared but Bradley wants that payday so he should be out there saying anything possible to get it.

The Twins Towers

This NO NAME Bradley does NOT deserve another big pay check against the Pound-Per-Pound King Manny Pacquiao. Bradley looked so amateurish against Pacquiao; Pacquiao was outclassed, outboxed, outlanded, etc. Do we still want to pay $60 to watch a C-class fighter Bradley against the Pound-Per-Pound King? No way. Bradley lost 10-11 rounds to Manny Pacquiao, but the crooked judges were hired to hand Bradley the gift decisions and the belt. Even Bob Arum, Bradley’s promoter, does NOT want to see Bradley fight Pacquiao again. “I did my best and I still couldn’t beat the guy,” said Bradley after the fight.

asking for a payday, we know what’s up.

Posted August 16, 2012 1:48 pm

Keep telling yourself you won Tim. In about 6-7 years you might actually believe it.

Posted August 16, 2012 1:46 pm

Now where in the hell does Bradley get off suggesting he might be scared? Just doesn’t want to grant the loser another payday maybe. Nobody cares about belts anymore at that level anyways. Bradley can keep his paper championship until some other nobody comes and takes it from him. It was Manny’s worst Pay-Per-View in years.

manny is scared.????…………… made me laughs dudes……………….bradley is young fighter who always said in interviewed that he wants fight to pacman toe to toe…but during the fight where he is ? back pedalling hit and run ..where the toe to toe battles…now he nows why floyd not accepting to fight pac..he has to manny alibi or reason to avoid pac…even pacman is not the same since he fought mosley and marques….but you cannot understimate the heart of the champion…bradley knows

Scared of the judges I am sure

Posted August 16, 2012 1:39 pm

If Bradley did say this then I’d like a few lines of what he’s been snortin!

Posted August 16, 2012 1:34 pm

Floyd i beg of u please dont fight Bradley at the end of this year. No one wants to c u shut out another orthodox fighter who wings wide punches. Besides if ur gonna fight Pac early 2013 u need to take the opportunity to iron out a couple of flaws that the lefthand exposes in ur style.

Posted August 16, 2012 1:21 pm

Well, i will say this: Bradley vs Mayweather would probably be a prudent decision in a marketing sense however, even if the judges for that fight are blind…Floyd will win. It is a shame that Bradley still doesn’t accept that he lost the fight with Pacquiao, perhaps his failure to do so is going to taint his reputation for a long time to come. Personally, i don’t think he deserves a rematch.

Bradley wants another pay day and Arum knows the bradley fight PPV numbers were not good and wont do it again, To fight cotto or marquez again would hold no interest to me, It seems pac only fights a bunch of 5 old fighters over and over again. Put someone young and fresh in front of him!!

Of course he’s scared (sarcastic). Isn’t that the same tired old line we hear from any boxer that doesn’t get the fight that they’d be hoping for. It’s particularly ridiculous coming from Bradley regarding Pacquiao as he lost the fight to virtually everyone but the judges on the night. So for Bradley, I suppose it was worth a try, but no one that saw that fight will believe for a moment that Pacman is shaking in his shoes at the prospect of facing him again.

Btw, for whatever it’s worth, i don’t believe that Pacquiao* can improve on his last performance v. Bradley. whether or not it’s enough for the win has become questionable. in any case, Pacquiao* is beyond his peak in terms of skills development and he’s not going to learn how to balance his talented offense with skills and ring-craft now. Pacquiao* will Always lunge for the KO. Mayweather knows it. Bradley knows it. Marquez relies on it. like a phenom pitcher with an overwhelming fastball. eventually the best hitters learn to anticipate and begin to ding’em all over the ballpark. the pitcher either learns new pitches and when to throw them or he’s Toast. IMO, Pacquiao* is browning before our very eyes.

I’d rather have this rematch for Manny than the other two rematches he is considering.

Floyd v. Bradley would be a brilliant marketing move by Team Mayweather. a dominant win by Floyd and Manny* is eclipsed by his #1 P4P rival in terms of integrity and credibility. as it should be. harmless test or no harmless test, Floyd always figured to outclass, dismantle, and knock any version of Manny* that ever entered a boxing ring TFO. it’s up to Pacquiao* to head Floyd off at the pass and eliminate Bradley in the convincing fashion that Bradley was selected for in the first place. besides, between Marquez in Mexico and Mayweather ANYwhere, Bradley remains a handy pick.

Scared of day-light robbery again maybe.

Of course Manny is scared. His fists were hurt because he hit Bradley so often, therefore he is afraid to face this human punching bab again.
