Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012-2013

Richie boy.. Just thought I’d let you know that I’ve reported you for racism (which I absolutely detest), classism (which I also hate) and homophobia (which is something I loathe even more than racism and classism combined). But I’ve not reported you to the mods. Oh no! I’ve gone straight to ADMIN with this one. I think it’s safe to say your days spewing your inane drivel and offensive bile on this site are well and truly numbered. lol

I thought fury boxed well in that fight he shows a good jab. For a guy 6ft9? he moves pretty well on his feet . his balance is much improved he shows good angles at 24 he keeps improving I would like to see him face jennings next

Sorry avo, neither one aren’t really that good. They both will be eliminated if they ever step up.

Price is superior to Fury in every aspect of boxing and anyone who thinks otherwise is clueless

Pretty sure Adamek rocked Arreola a couple of times though. Fury KO1 Arreola

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

I can envisage Arreola giving Fury problems actually. He’s tough, durable, and relentless and he hits hard too. If Fury keeps on improving at the rate he has been he should be able to bust him up for a late round stoppage or win a hard fought but clear UD.

Remind me where you finished in this year’s annual awards again Rich? lol. Did you even receive any nominations this time round? lol. Oh, and did I forget to mention that I won poster of the year? lol. Won it by an absolute landslide so I did too. I wonder if you were one of the treacherous 7% who didn’t vote for me? If so, I hope you die tomorrow.

Fury as power believe me he’s broken ribs and perforated ear drums in sparring there isn’t many men can take Fury 12 rounds just watch and see

Posted December 5, 2012 5:58 pm

Box Smart

Price wouldn’t ko Johnson, he’s only proved his power at domestic level, And didn’t Price go the distance with Daniel Peret? A man Fury stopped in 2 rounds Mmmm

Posted December 5, 2012 5:57 pm

Fight Aficionado

Fury looked good. His skills are improving and there were times he looked light on his feet for a big man. I’d have liked to see him bring the heat on Johnson who was obv fighting to not get hurt but that would’ve played into his hand, opening up a counter punching opportunity. Nobody is exciting against Johnson because he’s a spoiler. Any criticism at the lack of action should be focused on Johnson.

Posted December 5, 2012 5:55 pm

Fury’s biggest problem is that he has no power, especially at this level. I like the guy, funny as hell and entertaining and big heart. But at this level he is just going to go 12 rounds over and over again, until he gets clocked. He caught Johnson flush so many times and zero effect, I know he has never been stopped but if David Price had caught him……

How can you type with a straighjacket on? Do you put a pencil in your mouth or pay an orderly or something? Fury is trash. No jab, no power, overated English palooka.

tyson fury is a joke he fought a fat overated fighter who had only 3 weeks notice ,he hights arrelo he gets koed he was dropped 3 fights a go by a romainan joke fighter .a poster on here said it best when he said fury a legend in his own mind

Posted December 5, 2012 12:40 pm

The voice of reason

if fury really fights the winner of arreola/stiverne then we will really see what he is made of as both of these guys will bring it to him bigtime. I thought he looked ok against johnson who is very hard to look good against. Arreola/stiverne though, are both two very different customers

Fury-Price 2013! King of the Rock!

Posted December 5, 2012 7:38 am

Johnson is the kind of fighter it’s hard to look good against. So picking him as an opponent already deserves some respect IMO. And although KJ turns into this cowardly zero offence mode when he feels he is in some trouble, beating him does mean something. It definitely means more then KOing Harrisson or Skelton in 1 or 2 rds. Maybe Price is more talentedbut he is also 5 yrs older and has less experience as of today then Fury. I wondr whether he realizes that

A bout against Chris Arreola could prove interesting, I can not see that being a bore; perhaps next year will see it made.

“Varnish”, thanks for the feedback, stay tuned I am going to make the next one even better for you.

The writing in this article is much more painful to absorb than any combination that Fury throws

Fury hits much harder than Price IMO.

Ironlife…Cmon a clubfighter 32yrs. old no boxing skills only had a good chin now they found out he was taking roids the only thing he had is now in question. Was nothing more then a punching bag against W.K. The guy even cheating was a disgrace in the ring.

sleazy win for Fury…wtf

Posted December 5, 2012 12:14 am

The Klitschkos are good fighters, respect to them, but they just use their size advantage, throw a punch, grab and hold, Price fights like a smaller weight fighter, lots of speed, get out the way, then punch with combinations.

Gonzo- Congratulations on the award. I’m sure Boxtradamus was betting on you from the beginning:)

I have a feeling that Price would blow Johnson away. But spare us this sorry, fat and utterly obnoxiuos excuse for a fighter in the future. Price vs Fury will be a classic though.

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

I remember seeing Fury KO Skelton’s daddy Martin Rogan with a body shot.

Posted December 4, 2012 11:39 pm

Price looks like he taps fighters and they get knocked out, he only tapped him, but that is the power Price has got.

Posted December 4, 2012 11:29 pm

Price stopped Skelton with bodyshots as well, when you do see that at heavyweight, and Skelton is very tough.

Posted December 4, 2012 11:18 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

Apparently, Skelton was quite the athlete in his prime (pre World War II that is). I’m told he clocked a sub 60 second PB for the 100 meters. I’ve seen statues cover distances quicker than he does. And yes, he did tag Price a few times IIRC.

Posted December 4, 2012 11:15 pm

IronLife

From what I’ve seen, Fury maybe, and I repeat ‘maybe’ can beat Wach.

Posted December 4, 2012 10:53 pm

Tagged, against Skelton, stopped him in round 2, he wasn’t tagged, Skelton just laid a punch on him in the first 15 seconds, Price must be a good fighter then, someone punched him before he knocked them clean out.

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

HHlondon.. Fury, who clearly has fast hands, especially when throwing in combination, is going to look like lightning when he faces David Price then. I mean, it doesn’t bode well for Price’s chances if he was getting tagged and caught in his last fight by 500 year old fat slug who’s hands are about as a quick as a sloth trying to wriggle out of a straight jacket and the foot speed of a disabled tortoise climbing up a steep hill.

Golota was a good fighter as well, but he was mad against Bowe.

Posted December 4, 2012 10:22 pm

lefhook

I just take myself back to the 90’s and ask myself if Johnson would have survived v Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield to compare or figure out how good a heavyweight is. Fury is streets behind world level. Those guys would have made very short work of Johnson. Price is at least trying to go the traditional rout for a Brtish heavyweight. Its now time for him to be tested properly though. By the way Heavyweight boxing sucks it should be banned of the tv, it’d get boxing stopped. I hate my eyes for looking at it lol

Posted December 4, 2012 10:06 pm

HHLondon

When you’re fighting a fat, slow slug like Kohnson, of course you’re gonna look light on your feet and a bit nimble with your fists.
This was no test and there are only three “tests” for Fury, VK, WK or Price.
Get beaten by Price and there are is no VK or WK!

Im glad Price and Fury didnt fight yet.Just think how big this will get if one of these guys has a world belt..this fight will only get bigger and bigger if they both keep moving forward. And its a chance worth taking in the long run.In a side note did anybody hear that Wach was tested positive for roids after the W.K. fight??I read it on another couple of boxing sites why nothing hear?No wonder that big stiff puching bag was able to stand-up all night.

That’s the one, Boystov, Fury definitely ducked Price, like Boystovov ducked Fury.

Posted December 4, 2012 9:22 pm

The fighter was Boystov who pulled out.

Posted December 4, 2012 9:08 pm

Fury dosent punch like Shavers..Cooney..Mike Tyson..rolled into one.But his power is underrated by some.Fury took out Vinny M. quicker then Adamek..and Boystov who didnt even stop him plus Fury busted him up pretty bad a guy who is pretty durable. And Johnson was looking to survive and is pretty slick and tricky in doing so..therefore Fury really wasnt looking for the brawl or big k.o.Fury fought carefull and was boxing to a points victory you could see that as the fight went on.

Posted December 4, 2012 9:06 pm

Who was the fighter that pulled out of the fight against Fury, for Johnson to replace him.

punches like a girl………..

Fury showed much improved skills. He can go 12 easy a good set of lungs moves well and has a good jab with good overall handspeed. He is showing better movement even at times a slickness that is rare for such a big guy.Johnson came into this fight in decent shape no worse then he did for the k-bro. fight. If Fury plays his cards right and dosent jump the gun he could go all the way.And being so young is a huge advantage…this is a kid to watch. And yes in this fight it might have been alittle boring…but Fury showed himself to be a mature fighter taking his time picking his spots and fighting wisely.

this jhonson was the only guy who wanted tho fight fury … so but… fury has the potential to be a very good champion…

Great win for fury. That was his biggest challenge to date and he passed the test. KJ was poor fair enough but you can only bt what is put in front of you

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

Scott.. Fury actually has fast hands and is pretty light on his feet for such a big man, especially in his last fight against KJ where he was moving around the ring like a light heavyweight.

Posted December 4, 2012 6:37 pm

fury will get found out wen he comes across any 1 with speed

Posted December 4, 2012 6:31 pm

Yes, Fury is slow and plodding. He’s also sloppy. The only thing the guy has is size. Tye Fields II in the making.

Posted December 4, 2012 6:30 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012

Fury is slow and plodding now is he?? lol

Posted December 4, 2012 6:28 pm

Scott

Johnson and to a greater degree, Fury, are jokes. Johnson is a waste of a fighter and represents much of what is wrong with boxing…or at least the heavyweight division.

Tyson Fury is an out of shape, slow, and plodding fighter with mediocre skills at best. Like Valuev, Fury has been successful only because of his size, not his skills or talent. The moment he’s put in with anyone who takes the sport seriously he’s getting stopped. This is Ty Fields all over again.

Posted December 4, 2012 6:13 pm

PEEJ

Fury could have taken a better fighter than Johnson. Just because he was not KOd by Vitali does not make him a viable opponent. Johnson is all bark and no substance. Fury would have been better with a small dog because not only do they bark they also bite back at the ankles which was more that what Johnson was doing
