Annon your still a block head. Every person on this planet a a minimal amount of steroids in there body. It’s a substance your body natural creates. There are some people that don’t create enough so they have to take small amounts as prescribed by a doctor. The Nevada state commission agrees its ok for those conditions because your not taking more than what you should have your keeping the levels normal.

Annon your body natural creates tes, there some people that don’t produce enough so they have to take small amounts and the Nevada state commission is fine with that. What they are not ok with is if your pumping 20cc of tes in your ass every day on a cycle. Peterson was not doing that case closed. Golden boy jumped on that to get khan a belt. The plan back fired because Khan got KTFO.

he didnt actually blame peterson geezer. he mearly pointed out that everything would have been different if the cheat hadnt taken drugs. good to see where your brains lie though haha

James Slater must be one of those Brit fan-boys for Khan. In his tripe, Slater actually blames Peterson for Khan having to fight Garcia and getting himself KTFO…LOL! And this man laughingly calls himself a sports journalist with this kind of slanted and biased “objectivity”? Slater’s a pathetic joke of a sports writer, with his biased nose so far up Khan’s arse that he cannot see daylight!

LEON

TYPICAL OF KHAN AND JAMES SLATER, FACTS ALL WRONG AS USUAL, PETERSON HAD A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF TESTOSTERONE IN THE BODY AND GOT A FEW PELLETS TO HELP HIS BODY, BUT OH NO, GLASSJAW KHAN RECKONS HE WAS JUICED UP LOKE IVAN DRAGO??????// kHAN IS A TERRIBLE WINNER AND WORSE LOSER, NEVER TAKES THE BLAME FOR A LOSS, 1ST IT WAS “THE HAT MAN”, NOW PETERSON WAS JUICED UP.. AND AS FOR “Larry Olubamiwo”, CHECK OUT THE AMOUNT OF DRUGS IN HIS SYSTEM VERSUE THE AMOUNT PETERSON WAS ON, SLATER AND KHAN ARE ACTUALLY QUESTIONING AN IBF OFFICIAL THAT STATED THE AMOUNT OF TESTOSTERONE WASN’T EVEN ENOUGH TOP WARRANT A BAN….. GREAT WEBSITE EXCEPT FOR SLATER, HE HASN’T A CLUE AND I’M ON THIS SITE FOR YEARS READING GOOD ARTICLES, THEN SLATER POPS UP WITH HIS REGULAR GARBAGE… PATHETIC…..

Right on! Long live Queen Khan lmao

Garcia is the rightfull champ for stopping Khan ….. Peterson is a drugs cheat and should be banned. The IBF should hang their corrupt heads in shame.

Posted August 13, 2012 8:30 am

It is bad news perticually for Garcia, who should now be the unified WBA/WBC & IBF champion.

Posted August 13, 2012 7:57 am

Neil (pomy)

What I find really sad, is that some people hate Khan so much that they couldnt care less what Peterson was taking.

Posted August 13, 2012 5:34 am

Neil (pomy)

The fact is that boxing is corrupt and the organisations do not give a crap if you are on PEDS or not. Peterson was caught, but has gotten away with it …….. he should of been banned but the IBF have shown they are even worse than the other alphabet organisations. Mosley got away with it, Roy Jones got away with it, JAmes Toney pretty much got away with it. PEDs in American boxing is rife ….. and in many cases tollerated. Peterson is just another example of this. Critise Floyd Mayweather all you want …. but at least he is making a stand against these cheaters (of which Peterson is one).

Fight Aficionado

LOL at you guys citing the “therapeutic use” excuse. Peterson had “low testosterone” due to longterm use of juice, which results in your body no longer producing enough testosterone on its own. This is what happened to Holyfield when he got shrunken ball syndrome. I’d say y’all are gullible but I know better because every single dude buying the excuse is American. A positive test is a positive test. No excuses.

Why the hell should Khan keep his mouth shut?? He was the one in the ring, and no matter what you might think of him as a person, or as a fighter, he is the one that was hard done by! And what have you ever done with your life except complain about a ludicrous decision like this. At the very least, Khan was the one in the ring and so has earned the right to voice his opinion! FFS.

Posted August 12, 2012 4:35 pm

You can use tes during training and before a fight if your levels are already low. Nevada has approved the use by athletes before. The amount use for medical purpose is not the same as what is used for performance enhancing. I pasted part of the article below Peterson was not cheating. Khan is a cry baby he whined about the fight, strange ring guy, everything after GBP could not find anything they jumped on the therapeutic hormone issue it was all they and the wba had left to try. LOL Khan got blasted anyway by a guy he was over looking to begin with.

Heavyweight Frank Mir applied for and received a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone replacement therapy prior to his May 26 bout in Las Vegas against UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos.

Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer confirmed a report on Friday that the state regulatory body approved Mir, 33, for an exemption because he exhibited “abnormally low” testosterone levels.

I think you missed the point. Peterson had every opportunity to disclose a genuine medical condition prior to the fight, both during contract negotiations and on the generic form used to gain a licence to box. He stated that there was no medical issues known and he was not on medication. He signed off on this. Twice.

For the record Peterson also passed a future test, plus the post fight test . In theory, he was actually clean for the fight.

Let’s face it, “roids” rule boxing.” Peterson is just the tip of the iceburg. When we see a decision like this that totally disregards testing and the rules, someone’s being paid off big time. That’s why I like young, local, up and coming B-level contests. There’s not much money involved, and the fighters usually aren’t on any juice.

Posted August 12, 2012 1:01 pm

UJelly?

I get what you’re saying but there are still question marks surrounding this. His testosterone ratio was lower than the general 4:1 allowable ratio which is a good thing, but it was found that there was still synthetic content to that testosterone.
What Team Peterson are claiming may well be true, but they’re supposed to declare medications like this immediately. I’ve had a GP at a local medical centre warn me that a medication he was prescribing me would likely cause me to fail a drug test (i.e. and this was cortisone-related which is much more vague in terms of drug tests than testosterone) and he only had a vague idea that I was involved in sport… so I really find it hard to believe that Team Peterson didn’t realise what they were taking and it really was up to them to report it and get a Therapeutic Use Exemption.
Afterall, this is the same fallback excuse that many athletes use when they get busted (e.g. James Toney made the same claim about his usage saying that it was related to healing an injury… which steroids like Deca Durabolin are sometimes illegaly used to aid).

The Kingslayer

It’s sad that people hate Khan enough to ignore the fact Peterson took an ilegal substance and the IBF didn’t punish him.

“I really hope someone takes on the IBF over this as being allowed to say you have low testosterone levels and being able to have pellets inserted to increase these levels and be able to continue to box is simply just wrong.” So let me get this straight, Ozzy. You’re saying that even though a man is supposed to have a certain, natural amount of testerone in his body, and that even if those levels are low enough to affect his health–bear in mind thisis a guy who fights for a living–that he shouldn’t be entitled to healthcare to repair his unhealthy condition unless he quits boxing? Are you serious? What the real problem is is that Boxing should revamp it’s rules. It’s obvious that a blanket policy regarding PEDs that is now being enforced by the sanctioning bodies is not only ineffective, it is not as clear as it appears or should be. Bottom line now is that the WBA interpreted the rules one way and the IBF interpreted them another. Both organizations took action based on their interpretation of the rules. It should be obvious that more than Lamont Peterson needs to be fixed.

Hidalgo, well said. Khan has proven time and again that he, along with his immaturity, his lack of fight discipline and his lack of inside defensive skills is his own worse enemy!

Posted August 12, 2012 9:46 am

Hidalgo

Khan needs a reason to justify and substantiate his loss to Peterson. These are two of the reasons he is whining again. But PEDs are NOT what helped Peterson to beat Khan. Khan is a foolish, immature fighter with immense talent and potential, but he is also self-destructive because he does not fight smart. That’s why Peterson beat him, and that’s why Garcia beat him. As for whether the IBF or the WBA have done the right thing regarding Peterson, it’s all a matter of opinion now. The WBA acted almost immediately against Peterson. The IBF did not. Fingers could be pointed at either organization. Khan has suffered two losses in a row. In my mind, Garcia proved that Peterson’s defeat of Khan was not a fluke–in any way. Khan needs to stop whining and start improving. He’s a young kid. He has plenty of time to recover a become a great champion. If he’ll try.

Regardless of what he took was legal or not, he did not follow the procedure so I don’t understand why would he retain his title! IBF has been always corrupt.

How about that one?

AMir King Khan should be called Queen Khan for all of his belly aching and crying and the way he has carried on since the fight and the beatdown he got from Garcia was poetic justice. If he fought Peterson 10 times the result would be the same because Khan doesn not know how to fight on the inside. Real fighters let their fists do the talking……in the ring. Real fighters say the better man won and dont cry and make excuses like queen khan. Real fighters go back to the gym train HARDER and fight a rematch and do what they did not do the first time. If Queen Khan thinks he can beat LAmont get back on on the horse fight the guys he needs to fight and earn another shot at Peterson. Earn it Queen Khan in the ring…not by being a crybaby.

Lamont Peterson took PEDS, he has been tested for it and admitted it, Lamont Peterson is a cheat, end of.

Don’t go on about random drug testing,IBF etc,Peterson is a bang to rights PED cheater confirmed.

Posted August 11, 2012 11:28 pm

MyArse

If you even did a basic google or wikipedia search on olympic style doping tests you would understand why they wouldn’t work across the board in boxing. Nobody uses synthetic hormones anymore, only natural ones and the only comparison as to what a “normal” level of a hormone should be, as it varies from invdividual to individual is other, previous tests. Fine for Pacquiao-Mayweather but do you think guys currently years away from fighting for titles could afford to fund a 24/7 random testing body? Or do you think that the sanctioning bodies would pay? Dream on.

WHAT!?!

The question Khan should be asking is ‘What’s the point of defence’? The answer everyone yells is ‘So you don’t become a youtube sensation doing the baby giraffe shuffle over and over again’.

Posted August 11, 2012 6:22 pm

Mang Gusting

Why did Peterson agreed to take the test knowing he was PED’ing. He should have known better. Take a page out of Pac’s book — when somebody mention you should take the drug test, sue their @$$ so you don’t stand a chance of getting caught!

Posted August 11, 2012 6:10 pm

The Prince

Khan thought he redeemed himself with calling Peterson out. However, boxing politics just told him that Peterson beating his ass on PEDS doesn’t matter. Not a good year for Khan, who months ago, people were trying to sell him as the one who would dethrowne Mayweather.

Golden boy promotions sucks

Khans irrelevant and so is his opinion

I agree with khan. And I am absolutely NOT a Khan fan I jumped for joy when Cheaterson won the fight. I jumped for joy when Prescott stopped him too. I’m ashamed of the IBF. Cheaterson is a fraud! This is basically a TMT/Al Haymon move to get Judah a title. He will be too fast for Lamont.

Can’t believe some of these comments are you genuine boxing fans ? Peterson was tested positive but because Khan lost his next fight you think that’s ok and Peterson should keep his belt – DRUG CHEATS KICK THEM ALL OUT !

It’s boxing. Look at PEDcquiao. Everyone thinks he’s so great but he refuses to take any real tests. Boxing’s testing is a joke. Peterson was sold easily detected crap by amateur dealers.

Time for a US Federal Commission to clean up the boxing industry – sanctioning bodies, promoters, commissions and cheating boxers. The boxing industry’s head is in the sand. Amir Khan has every right to feel cheated, he is a nice young kid.

Posted August 11, 2012 2:30 pm

It’s laughable how PLENTY of boxers are being caught cheating. Why isn’t there a demand for boxers to take PED tests the Olympic way? Now that Cotto is planning to fight PacquinR0IDS and he’s no longer with Arum, perhaps Cotto can take some of the same stuff PacquinR0IDS is using so we can see Cotto TKO that fraud.

Well said Harry C the IBF are a disgrace and so is Peterson and the dodgy people who surround him. We are trying to get drug cheats out of boxing to make boxing less of a ‘dirty’ sport and the IBF have just okayed their use. I really hope someone takes on the IBF over this as being allowed to say you have low testosterone levels and being able to have pellets inserted to increase these levels and be able to continue to box is simply just wrong. Peterson has shown that such a system improves performance and so how can such things be tolerated in a clean sport?
