Oh yehhhhh…….. Johnson was given 3 weeks notice for this freakin fight! So prepare to see Fury in with YET ANOTHER FAT MAN !!!

Posted November 27, 2012 7:31 am

junior – well said… could not have put it better myself. the thing is how can Fury knock Bello… like him or hate him he comes to fight and take the challenges… can we say the same for Tyson “run-away” Fury. Price’s immediate problem is he wants to win the Lonsdale belt out right… as such he has to defend it three times!! He can only fight who is willing to fight him and is eligible. Can the same be said for fury how vacated rather than face Price… Price was up for it…. just a shame Tyson “run-away” Fury wasn’t!!

terrible match up. RIP matt skelton. youve been a good fighter.

Posted November 24, 2012 8:15 am

Fury fought McDermott back in 2009 whilst Price fought him in 2012 do you realty think today’s version of fury would struggle with McDermott? I don’t Tyson would beat him the same way as price did

Posted November 24, 2012 6:54 am

he needs pushed on a bit, like someone said before, Skelton is way past his best and will get sparked out inside 2, what will Price learn from these blowouts? not much I would think, needs someone who can push him a bit.

Posted November 24, 2012 5:49 am

oh Matt I hope your getting well paid for this.

Posted November 24, 2012 5:44 am

Lets name Fury’s last 3.. Maddalone LOLOLOL, Rogan.. LOLOLOLOL, Pajkic lolo….who??
He’s only unbeaten in the records, mcdermott was robbed in a travesty.

After Fury beats Johnson were going to be fighting Banks, Boytsov, Arreola vs Sterverne winner then WBC title end of 2013. In the meantime Price will be fighting Skelton, Danny Williams, Julius Francis and Mark Potter lmao

Fury as learned his trade in the pros that’s the difference between him and Pricey Fury as fought tough men who take him rounds I’d go as far to say even Zack Page who Fury fought in 2010 would be a huge step up for Price now, even Page made Mike Perez look garbage twice and when Fury fought him he was over 19st and dominated him

Fury and his fans are here to stay HHLONDON. He’s going to liven this dying sport up a again and get the sport back in news papers again, The Fury era as begun these guys should of fought Fury when he was weighing 19st now he’s a dedicated athlete and everyone is in trouble

Posted November 23, 2012 1:52 pm

Box Smart, Fury appeals to those with little or no intelligence. Fury’s supporters are has just as little. Fury’s fans are a disgrace to the sport. They smashed Oddyssey Arena to bits when he fought Rogan and constantly cause trouble in the crowd. Sooner this bum and his fans are gone, the better the sport will be.

Also Price got put on his arse by a 17 year old fat boy in the amatuers people forget about that Fury already levelled him up as a 8 fight novice whilst Price was a veteran amatuer and pot spotted his way to a 22-8 victory

Price hasn’t got the ability to beat Fury I think when they do meet Fury will be laughing at him all night like he did Chisora he will be blowing kisses to all you scousers and winking at the camera he’s going to make the lad look stupid before he puts him to sleep

You must be confused pal it’s Fury with the personality David Price is like wet paint in interviews

Posted November 23, 2012 1:42 pm

I can’t remember the last time Fury put anyone to sleep unless you mean by his interviews.

Price is good very good but what happens when he gets hit? He can give it but can he take it?

Posted November 23, 2012 1:33 pm

I dont disagree but who are 1,2,3

Posted November 23, 2012 1:16 pm

There’s a reason Price is fighting Skelton and it’s simple mathematics. Skelton #5 and 3,2,1 are either unlicensed or too cowardly to fight him. He wants a Lonsdale Belt and Skelton is the only man among the top 5 without an excuse.

Gorman was a conman and a story teller. He never fough a fight a fight in his life.

Posted November 23, 2012 12:52 pm

I think Price wants to clean up in the U.K. but after this fight he does need a fight like..Adamek..C.A..Chambers..something along those lines.Price has the skills all the tools and I belive its just a matter of time.

Posted November 23, 2012 12:15 pm

Price has been knocking out bums in one round though, guys that Fury went 12 rounds with and chisora went 8 with..
Fury is having his first real fight only now, unless you count that spring chicken Rogan lolololol..
As far as contenders go Price is in the mix and the one people think can actually win something and keep it.. Fury gets bums in seats but is pretty hopeless and has been floored by nobodys. Pulev can’t even do the putting bums in seats bit..

Posted November 23, 2012 12:06 pm

Fury as Bartley Gormans blood running threw his veins the greatest bare knuckle fighter to ever live show some respect

Posted November 23, 2012 11:55 am

While Price is moving along slower than Pulev and a couple of other prospects (although the likes of Helenius, Fury and Boystov seem to be regressing in terms of opponents) both Wlad and Vitali had something like 25 -30 fights before they face anyone who was any good. Plus Wlad didn’t really become the great fighter he is today until he’d had over 40 fights. The point is, prospects need time to develop, instead of rushing them along and feeding another ill prepared opponent to the Klitschkos.

Posted November 23, 2012 11:16 am

hope you didn’t juice him up.

Posted November 23, 2012 10:41 am

Richard Towers has already tasted canvas about 5 times if im not mistaken? He is a unit, but thats about it. Dillion Whyte (spelling) is a great prospect. As is Cornish. I will hold back my thoughts on Fury untill after the johnson fight. Although i think we all know how it will go considering Johnson had 2-1/2 weeks to prepare………..

Keep an eye out for 20 year old Kiwi H/W prospect Joseph Parker(undefeated in 2) If handled correctlly this kid could be a serious threat in 6-7 years time. In fact I’d say New Zealand champion within 12-18 months & Commonwealth champion by 2016. As I said though he needs handleing correctlly & should have his 1st fight outside of NZ(proberly Australia) within the next 6 months. Pity they couldn’t get him on the Towers/Browne undercard @ Hong Kong.

Mick the Marmalizer

There’s 1 or 2 UK H/W’s who could come good in a few years. Dillian Whyte is one of them as is The Highlander Gary Cornish who I would like to see fight Martin Rogan or Dorian Darch for the vacant Celtic H/W title early next year.

Lucas Browne hahahahaha he’s going to get his arsed whooped by Towers who’s no better then that piece of wood Tom Dallas, Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte are the future the rest are just useless

The NEW Tyson Fury is coming Decemeber 1st forget the past cos that fat kid you once saw is gone Tyson is weighing 17st 10lbs of pure MUSCLE he’s got his defence sorted he’s been sparring Malic Scott and Scott can’t even land a jab on him plus he’s throwing powerful combinations with both hands his balance is perfect and he’s moving like a light heavyweight, Kevin Johnson is going to get punished to the body cos No ONE throws punches to the body like Fury does. This is step one towards that tile shot 2013 Fury is coming and all of you that don’t like it need to get over it #TEAMFURY

Price vs Browne would be a good match up & even more interesting if it took place in Australia.

Posted November 23, 2012 9:37 am

Towers already has been down like 5 times in 1 fight. I wouldnt put money on him beating my grandmother never mind any top 100 Heavyweight. Towers is seriously poor.

Posted November 23, 2012 9:36 am

Harrison and then Skekton?! Pretender alert!!

Posted November 23, 2012 9:34 am

Hey, that’s my Bike!!!

When ‘Big Daddy’ Browne KO’s Towers, I can guarantee you that he won’t duck and run from Price like the uncoordinated Fury. In fact Browne will be a massive challenge to Price’s possibly susceptible chin. After those two demolitions he will have shot up the rankings, but he won’t be good enough for the Klits. However he would KO Fury and make it 3 giant Brits in a row. Good coin for Browne in the future.

It’s gotta be said that @ 29 price has gotta get a 100% shift on, but with only 14 pro fight’s under his belt he’s still a work in progress. on the + side he’s fighting regually, but as I’ve said not fighting away from home enough. It’s all vital experiance & exposure which is a #1 priority for any propect (which he still is) Tyson Fury’s made a lot about fighting once a month all over the World(so far just Ireland, Canada & the UK, more then Price though) & winning a Lonsdale belt out-tight which will never happen unless he fights Price. As stated the BBBofC put Price/Fury out for purse bids, which means the winner”Malloney” got the TV rights.

Posted November 23, 2012 8:50 am

Oh look pikey boy Box Smart is back! Oi Box Smart, if Price is sooooo far behind, then why did Fury run away like a big sissy girl?

Posted November 23, 2012 8:37 am

Price has no intention in ever fight a K-bro. Look at the guys he is fighting. Seems to be a nice guy Price but feeding him these types of fights will gey him seriously hurt when/if he ever steps up in class.

Pulev beat Skelton is his 5th fight just goes to show how far behind Price is of the other contenders lol Price will fight for a world title in 2017 at this rate and by then he will be old and stale

Posted November 23, 2012 7:27 am

Junior: Richard Towers is fighting Australian H/W champion Lucas Browne @ Hong Hong next month in an eliminator for the Commonwealth title, so Price vs Towers/Browne looks likely for the Spring. I’m in total agreement with you regarding Price fighting frequentlly, I just think he needs to get out of Liverpool & the UK once in a while. The experiance & exposure will do him no halm what so ever!

Posted November 23, 2012 7:15 am

Mick the Marmalizer

Price has stated that he wants the Lonsdale belt out-right & unfortunatlly due to lack of opposition (Tyson Fury won’t fight him) Skelton has to be one of the notch’es. The only options open to Price after the Skelton fight look to be undercard fights overseas or another British patsy. I’d actually like to see him take a trip to Canada & defend his Commonwealth title against Nevin Pajkic (remembering Pajkic decked Fury) If Price/Pajkic occured in the UK then Price would be in a no win situation, however if it took place in Canada it would make more of an impact. A part from that the only option would be a challenge for the EBU championship, which I can’t see coming off until mid Summer at the earliest. With David Haye playing Crocodile Dundee, it’s up to Price & Fury to glove up sometime in 2013 to prove who actually is the #1 active H/W in the UK right now.

Posted November 23, 2012 7:09 am

People need to make there minds up. One minute Price isnt busy enough, next minute hes facing weak comp but on a regular basis. Would you like him to fight once every 2 months against top rated contenders like in the 40s and 50s? I know i would!! But the rest of the boxing world arnt doing it so why should Price? Dont you people get it??? NO-ONE WANTS TO FIGHT HIM!!!!!! Atleast Audley had the nuts to get in the ring with him! Towers is too scared to fight him, Fury ran a mile and left his Belts behind because he was too scared to fight him. Price is iceing guys every time he fights now, same will happen to skelton. Bring on the contenders in 2013

Posted November 23, 2012 6:59 am

This is a real step backwards for price, and his team are doing him no favours. a few years back Skelton was a very durable guy capable of giving anyone a tough time, but he’s a good few years past his sell by date and will crumble straight away against price. I’m really not being too hard on Price here but poor old Skelton will prove no resistance what so ever.
