Lol peej and his usernames attacking with the same spin …hahahahaha …

So Garcia can make Maidana the best out there but he couldn’t do anything for Riis against paqiao eh? Gtfo! You clown , Maidana will get beat but a lot of boxer just like he has before mark my words…

Tark-oh ok’ The way you worded made it seem like you forget about that recent KO’ from Marquez.

Posted September 3, 2014 6:51 pm

DAZzzz “Tark’ are you high on molly? what you mean Pacquiao has beaten everybody he faced in the last 15 years? You stupid idiotic moron. “Who is Marquez”?”

Don’t be a stupid idiot, you pathetic brainless jerk. What I said is 100% true.

Pacquiao has 2 victories and 5 knockdowns scored on Marquez.. Their series standa at 2-1-1 with Pacman in the lead.. He also beat Bradley and still owns the title he took from Tim.. Pac smashed Morales the last 2 times he faced him, and won that trilogy 2-1.

DaTruth Hurtzzzz

Another Boring, ugly, sloppy Sparring Session.. just like the Canelo disaster… it’ll be Floyds lowest viewed PPV Event.. he’d better get on the phone with Miguel Cotto ASAP!!!

Adrien only has hatred for Floyd. Let me guess Pac is ducking Thurman and Khan to right. Since he has yet to fight them. He is actually fighting a 140lb fighter.

Posted September 3, 2014 10:34 am

No you dumb idiot. I never down played it. You said he whooped or smoked Alexander and you are completely wrong. Nothing about that fight was exciting nor did anybody get smoked. You need to step your knowledge up cause you have none.

Posted September 3, 2014 10:33 am

Yeah Floyd for you always only “whoop ass” by assuming but never actually fighting Eh? Khan beat Maidana beat Judah who your hero struggled badley how come?

They can all beat khan accept mayweather now go f0k yourself idiot !
And if khan is shyt then how come he was one out of two close mayweather’s picks ? Even then he avoided him

Posted September 3, 2014 6:49 am

I always said mayweather will never fight 3 fighters no matter what and those are

Now I know a lot of fans will disagree with me about khan but I am convinced that mayweather will avoid him no matter what because he knows he will have a tough time against khan

Posted September 3, 2014 4:08 am

Of course Pacquiao destroyed Oscar, and Floyd never did that.

Posted September 3, 2014 3:25 am

Adrian.., I watched Floyd-De La Hoya many times without the sound.

It’s fight I liked to use for instruction, for some of the bad things DLH did and some of the good things Mayweather did.

I always ignore commentary anyway because the heads are not really paying attention most of the time — they’re generally cheerleading for somebody.

“CANELO WITH ANOTHER BODY BARRAGE” and not one punch actually landed on fair territory — but the commentators are screaming loud enough so the judges can hear them — so when you combine that with erroneous punch stats, the viewer is definitely going to be influenced.

Floyd landed crisper, cleaner, and more frequently vs Oscar and clearly beat him.

Fight Aficionado

“I’d pick Lara, Brook, and Thurman if it were up to me. Floyd doesn’t like slick, rangy guys who can jab his face in — and throw a power shot behind the jab.” – Replace Lara with Pac and I’d give props for Floyd taking any of them. Floyd’s nut slurpers like pointing to the Marquez loss but before then it was a conglomeration of other excuses. Floyd doesn’t handle southpaws well and his father cited that as a reason Floyd shouldn’t fight Pac. Fact.

You how objective and obvious Floyd worshiper is peej ? Lol ….
Now he says Maidana beats everybody , he can ko Alexander now ? Lmao!!
And I promise you if Maidana fights PAC or any of PAC’s past opponents and lose peej will say ” he is Floyd’s leftover ” lol

Posted September 3, 2014 12:05 am

You’re kidding!!! Bradley beat the piss out of Alexander. Don’t deny it.

Posted September 2, 2014 9:58 pm

PEEJ’s version.., “Bradley didn’t shut down Alexander. That fight had nothing going for it. They nullified each other. Alexander did beat Madaina but if they were to rematch I bet Madaina KOs Alexander or gets the decision. I mean if you are going to talk about people being beat by others and don’t deserve to fight certain people then there really isn’t many people for Floyd to fight if any.”

Well… there’s people who are unbeaten because they’re so good… Like Kell Brook and Keith Thurman.

And Manny Pacquiao… Pac’s beaten EVERYBODY he’s faced over the last 15 years… That’s the fight 80% of people on the planet would pick if they had a choice.

I’d pick Lara, Brook, and Thurman if it were up to me. Floyd doesn’t like slick, rangy guys who can jab his face in — and throw a power shot behind the jab.

Posted September 2, 2014 7:52 pm

PEEJ just arguing for the hell of it. Has 0 clue, as usual. Bradley won against Alexander but of course, this turd will try to downplay anything that Bradley does since Bradley was shut down by Pac twice. This is an agenda having, self hating white turd. Bradley was ahead on all 3 cards comfortably when the fight ended.

Posted September 2, 2014 5:56 pm

uh oh

The problem floyd has is maidana’s awkward style/ unorthodox punching angles along with his relentlessness… srr had lamotta… srl had duran… ali had frazier… will Marcos be the one behind the one in 46 – 1… No matter how the fight plays out in the ring
Floyd isnt getting any younger… I believe if he doesnt stop Maidana then he will lose a decision… people say he cant lose on the scorecards but I beg to differ… the powers that be are tired of floyd being undefeated… and if he doesnt want to take a dive they will punish him on the scorecards!

Posted September 2, 2014 4:05 pm

Posted September 2, 2014 3:07 pm

Only thing i can say with absolute certainty is that Maidana has GOT TO knock him out to win. And then he may still lose somehow.

All maidana has to do is win 3 round Floyd pride, which was the porpose of the rematch, a shutout, or Floyd loses he can’t shut down or hurt , who khan knock down or Alexander won easly, remember Bradley beat down alexander at his hight, unbeaten.
Logic say Bradley would shut maidana out easily.better than Alex did.

Maybe Merchant thought Floyd won the fight because he hated Floyd so much that he didn’t think de LaHoya didn’t beat Floys as much as he wanted Oscar to.

Posted September 2, 2014 10:42 am

the1 you are ridiculous. I come on here right after the fight or the day after the fight if I am wrong. I say who I picked and say I was wrong. And no I have not been wrong a lot lately. As a matter of fact I have gotten 3 fights wrong. The Rios fight vs Pac, Paulie over Porter and Porter over Brook. And I came on here each time and said I was wrong. So again I see your college degrees are again not paying off.

Dzazz..are you on welfare? That’s how welfare people act.

Posted September 2, 2014 8:18 am

Ok tark cool , I suggest you rewatched the fight again but without any volume and see what I am talking about, the early rounds and latter rounds were very close and could have gone either way because they were close rounds to score because Oscar wasn’t pressing like in the early rounds, he started to get tired and floyed wasn’t particularly busy either .
It is funny how some people forgot about this fight and their memory is a fals one created by writers who worship floyed and think floyed dominated oscar , example I use to argue with one of my friend at work who likes boxing about this fight , he actualy thought floyed stoped oscar even though he saw the fight but his memory changed because of reasons I stated above ,and only until he saw clips of Oscar vs floyed fight before Maidana vs floyed fight the next day he was like ” damn oscar really beat floyed ” lol
Some people’s opinions are only what they hear from someone about the fight !

Posted September 2, 2014 4:21 am

Adrian.., “it is totally undeniable that Oscar pressed the fight and won clearly the early rounds and there is no way floyed dominated the fight not even close.”

Now that’s a long way from saying Floyd won — isn’t it? But I don’t see how anybody can say Oscar clearly won the early rounds. That just didn’t happen.

As for Floyd Sr??? Floyd Sr was tossed out of the house by his son at one point.. They weren’t on speaking terms.. They didn’t get along for a long time.. Floyd FIRED his dad as his trainer.. And Floyd Sr WAS Oscar’s trainer – so I expected Floyd Sr to say that crap.

I expected Kazcmarek to produce a goofy score. He’s an idiot who hates Floyd

And I didn’t say Floyd won 11 rounds… I said he won 8 rounds solidly and landed more punches in 11 rounds. I won’t complain about anyone giving Oscar 4 rounds. Floyd landed like 87 more punches, and neither fighter drilled the other particularly hard… It was a sparring match – and when that happens you give it to the better boxer.

Phenyo Molefe

Thank you Vivek, I hear what everyone is saying about this bout and I think that reality needs to be presented here. The fact of the matter is that Mayweather is in far greater shape and let me mention control than what we give him credit for.

So Maidana won a couple of round and roughed Mayweather up but my question remains was he really about to loose the bout? When Mayweather fought Catto and engaged in what we would deem entertaining was he at a risk of loosing the bout? The answer is NO.

Mark my words, Maidana is being sucked into believing he has the formula to bear Mayweather and at this stage that diverts from reality.

Posted September 2, 2014 2:51 am

Tark – fine you have your opinion and I respect but totally disagree especially when you say floyed won 11 rounds ….even floyeds father right after the fight before they announce the winner said ” son you lost” not that I care what he said because I don’t base my judgement on someone’s opinion but since you aid how even Larry merchant said he lost I bring you that as an example tha people can have different opinion , but it is totally undeniable that Oscar pressed the fight and won clearly the early rounds and there is no way floyed dominated the fight not even close .

Posted September 2, 2014 2:35 am

The very hard aggressive style is Floyds week spot,if his competition is in exzcellent shape.Lookout for that no loss record.

Posted September 2, 2014 12:26 am

the1… How the HELL did Oscar beat Floyd when he was clearly outboxed and out-scored all night??? Oscar was outpunched in 11 of 12 rounds..

The 2nd is the only round he took by a decent margin. There were a few close ones, but Floyd won 8 rounds solidly by simply landing more and better punches.

Everyone at ringside knew who the hell was winning the fight. Larry Merchant—who hates Mayweather and loves De La Hoya—had Floyd winning the fight solidly… as did Jim Lampley.

Any judge would have to be completely biased or incompetent to give that fight to Oscar. Kazcmarek is a little of both.

No way Tark, Oscar beat that boy’s a$$ for him. that’s why when you look that fight up on boxrec you see details it says everyone was booing when the split decision went to Mayweather. And the 12th round by all standards was given oscar. Well 2 judges rightfully gave that round to Oscar and the one that didn’t but should have would have made it a draw. However, the close cards are not the issue. Oscar beat him clearly. And won. That to me was FMJ’s first loss of 3.

Adrian, I agree with you most of the time, but Floyd clearly out-boxed Oscar… He out-jabbed him… out hooked him… landed more and better rights.

Check the punchstats… which were fairly accurate in this case, sometimes they’re not.

De La Hoya outweighed Floyd by about 20 pounds, and you’re allowed to use footwork to out-step a much larger opponent.

Little Cotto actually put sharper punches and better jabs on Floyd than Oscar did — and made a much better “fight” out of it… Even Roach complained that Oscar “did nothing.”

Posted September 1, 2014 7:13 pm

And statistics can carry us anywhere. Oscar beat Floyd’s A$$. Pac made him quit on the stool.”

Exactly right !

Some revisionist writers like smith and Vivek tell us how Floyd beat Oscar if you didn’t see the fight for yourself you would think Floyd dominated oscar if you read what they say but reality is Floyd ran all night , lost clearly most of the rounds exept maybe the last 2 rounds because oscar could keep the pace of chasing the runner but he clearly won more rounds just as one of the judges saw it ! And remember that was at the end of oscars carriere well past his prime .

Well we have YouTube and everyone can watch for themselfs and find out how Floyd ” dominated oscar” lol

Yeah LOL if Vivek actually thinks anyone “fears” Floyd. The only boxers guys fear are the ones who can put you to sleep. And despite claims (always from those who never boxed) that pro boxers fear nobody at all, they do. Floyd doesn’t hurt anyone and hasn’t scored a KO in years so there’s no fear of him.

Posted September 1, 2014 4:05 pm

Right Wayne… Roger had to break out the King-Sized Q-Tips, dip them into coagulant, and shove them up Floyd’s nose to stop the bleeding against Cotto.

Floyd looked like he’d been in a fight. He never faced a jab that skillful before.

To bad Cotto is so short and stubby… A taller, rangier boxer with a very slick jab, such as Brook or Thurman, would give Floyd HELL!!!

I have plenty of credibility. I just said you were right I did post that. So yes I am a hypocrite in that sense. But fact is mine was an opinion, saying he looked like he wanted to quit. You are stating Floyd was scared. Meaning you knew exactly how he was feeling which is bogus. So technically you have no credibility. So why don’t you drop it. I am only responding to your post cause you keep putting my name in your mouth.

Posted September 1, 2014 2:15 pm

Squeale says.., “I think you sell Mma short. There is plenty of technique in that sport if you watch close.”

MMA fighters are allowed to do every thing a boxer does. They use footwork to maneuver around the ring, just like a boxer does – but they have to take their shoes off. Their feet would become deadly weapons with the right shoes in a street fight.

MMA fighters take a lot of boxing lessons – because they wear 3 oz gloves, many of their fights end with a punch to the head – obviously delivered out of a boxing stance.

But they don’t have pillows to hide behind like boxers do.

Obviously they have to learn 7 different fighting arts – can strike with their feet, shins, knees, elbows, backfists, and hammer blow as well – and have scores of other methods for ending a fight in the 1st round or any round.

Boxing is my favorite sport by far… but I love MMA too… There’s a lot to learn

Pac clearly lost 2 out of the 4 fights. Only reason he got the nod in the 3rd fight was because people thought the Floyd vs Pac fight was gonna get made but that didn’t happen. Pac wasn’t punishing Marquez. If you actually watched the fight Pac was knocked down twice. Happened in 2 different rounds. Which means it was a close fight that Pac didn’t wake up from.

Super Stars Pick and Choose

BOXING MACHINE: Excellent comment!! Although I like Maidana and admire his total disregard of fear or any perceived intimidation, Mayweather has the superior skills and boxing intelligence. It may be a narrow victory, but Mayweather has the talented edge all the way around.

Posted September 1, 2014 1:25 pm

Super Stars Pick and Choose

Mayweather’s superior boxing skills guarantee that he will never have to fight for the whole round. Punchers fight the whole round practically. Being a master at boxing means that Mayweather can box, move, hold, adjust. Being the world’s greatest counter puncher and precision puncher gives him the greatest ability to pace the fight so that he uses minimal energy each round. At most, Mayweather works half of the round to get 100% effect while others, Maidana included, work 200% and still only get 50% or 75% at most.

Posted September 1, 2014 1:17 pm

Good point. Never thought from that aspect.

Posted September 1, 2014 1:13 pm

The thing about this is Maidana already didn’t fear Floyd so that won’t add anything new to the equation. Add to that I don’t think Maidana can adjust enough from one fight to the next enough to deal with Floyd and it might even be a different Floyd try get in the ring with. Add to that the ref will not let Maidana fight as dirty as he did in the first fight. And probably most importantly is FEAR. I think one of the things that separates Floyd is that he is scared, scared of the outcome. Scared to take punishment, so his level is heightened more that his opponents who are willing to put their chins in harms way to do damage of their own. Before they know it the bell rings, he’s still standing and your chin has been in a display case all night. Fearlessness will be Maidana’s undoing, just like it was Hatton’s. All successful predators know fear.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:58 pm

Again with the childish stuff. You are a weak minded individual. Hope your life turns out better. I doubt that though. Normally weak minded individuals like your self tend to fail in life.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:56 pm

I ment to say looking. I was typing on my iphone. And in my opinion he was looking for a way out. This is also the opinions of many boxing scribes. Look it up.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:55 pm

Please don’t call me son. Honestly, i’m no relation and you maintain negative leverage. You’re a dirtball for acting like you will school someone while being a hypocrite.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:55 pm

Now don’t mix your words, mental midget! You said pac was looming (which i think you meant looking?) for a way out. Not that “you think”. Don’t distort it. And by the way.. “looming”.. i can tell by the way you type that again, you’re a hypocrite, piece of $hit.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:52 pm

Not at all. You call me names like a child so I call you son. You act like a child I’ll treat you like one. I made an opinion and you tried to make your theory a fact which it isn’t.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:51 pm

PEEJ, There is truly nothing more embarrassing than someone not knowing when its time to call it off or when they have been outclassed. And when you call me “son”,… i just feel bad that you still aren’t getting it. Its not honorable because you make yourself look silly and still think highly of yourself. Your judgement and IQ are highly questionable.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:49 pm

Nope not a hypocrite saying I thought someone looked like they were ready to quit not to mention constantly looking for the ref to step in and do something. You are trying to state your theory as fact which is bogus.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:47 pm

And as you posted my comment saying how I thought he looked. You on the other hand are trying to say you know exactly what Floyd was thinking saying he was afraid he lost which of course is bogus. You don’t know anything.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:46 pm

So the point is: you see you do that yourself and actually know now you are a hypocrite.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:45 pm

Go ahead and do your worse. Ill bet I take you to school Son

Posted September 1, 2014 12:44 pm

Your right I did say that. And I still think he wanted to quit. Kept looking and asking the ref for help. Getting roughed up. Heck he almost quit when he got hit on his leg. He didn’t want no more and they were actually about to call the fight. Sanchez lost 2 points for low blows and it was still a draw. Pac was getting whooped in that fight. lol

Posted September 1, 2014 12:44 pm

Go $hit in your hat you hot air hypocrite! You do stuff and try to police others. GARBAGE. Just save face before i make your image more worthless.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:39 pm

Hey pekkerstain PEEJ, didn’t you just try to say something to me about people think they know what a fighter is thinking… this is you bud; in your own words:  “Pac was looming for a way to quit in the Sanches fight. We will see how he looks against Algieri. I think he wins the decision but Algieri is gonna make him look terrible through out the fight. Further proving that Pac has major issues with counter punchers and boxers.”

How in blue hell… would you know what Pac was going to do?!?!?! How is that different from what i was saying?!?!?! Add hypocrit to the useless eater title for you!!!

Posted September 1, 2014 12:37 pm

I could care less what other folks think of me. That is probably one of the biggest differences between me and a twat like you. I do my own thing while you follow suit. And again you can’t tell what people are thinking. Floyd looked pretty damn confident especially since he had his hand raised with 1 finger in the air. I would say that is pretty confident. Of course you are gonna make a face when they call out a card that says draw when you know you clearly won the fight. Stop constantly hating on Floyd.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:33 pm

Everyone here thinks you’re full of dog $hit, do you not see it or just ignore it? I’m honestly curious.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:29 pm

If it comes to you saying i don’t know what i’m talking about and i’m a damn idiot. I must really be bad off with this coming from such a useless eater like yourself.

Peej, You’re the definition of irrelevant. Did you know that as well?

Posted September 1, 2014 12:25 pm

Please. You have no clue what you are talking about. Just an idiot. Plain and simple. Oh and by the way I can tell you don’t know what you are talking about just by the way you type. Damn Idiot.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:10 pm

Peej, you’re a long known turd. If you had seen the fight.. you are in denial. The guy knew for the most part of that fight he had a guy bulling him into the ropes and letting it rip on him. “People always try” to say how a fighter felt or looked? I did.. and he was scared and had reason to be. He got pounded on like no other and just laid up on the ropes. Don’t be so damn brainwashed, mouth breather.

Maidana is a tough fighter. I like Madaina and most times I pick him to win. Unfortunately he is gonna lose a decision to Floyd. I picked Floyd by KO last time but after last fight I don’t think Floyd can stop him. So I will stay with Floyd by decision.

Floyd clearly won and was not nervous about any decision. That is ridiculous. Everybody tries to say how a fighter feels or looks. Everybody said Garcia was scared of Matthysse after the Peterson fight and looked what happened. Even that fool Gonzo was trying to say I can hear Garcia and how he sounds over the phone. He is scared.

Posted September 1, 2014 10:38 am

Maidana will have to win by a k.o. in my opinion because the judges will never give Maidana the decision on the score cards rather he deserves it or not? those are just the politics of boxing.

Posted September 1, 2014 9:16 am

Ah BS flydog. Mayweather himself was afraid he lost after the fight. You could tell he was worried and after the decision extremely relieved.

Posted September 1, 2014 8:47 am

I’m not sure I quite get what all the fuss is about. Mayweather won a close but clear decision in the first fight. I enjoyed watching Maidana giving it a ‘good go’ but Mayweather was and is the better man. It’s just that some people hate Mayweather so much they cry “robbery” when a decision is anywhere near close. I’d prefer to see Mayweather fight some other WW champion/contender. Even Khan who has good legs and movement would present a challenge for Mayweather if these doubts about his own legs are to be believed. Khan would have Floyd moving all around the ring and working those 37 year old legs. Anyway, Maidana had his chance but is getting another one. The result will be the same unless one of Chico’s overhand rights gets a bit too close to Floyd’s chin!!

Posted September 1, 2014 6:15 am

I think you sell Mma short. There is plenty of technique in that sport if you watch close.

Posted September 1, 2014 5:28 am

Bo bo Olson exactly right !

Posted September 1, 2014 5:23 am

Bo Bo Olson

Don’t see why folks watch boring boxing matches instead of dirty real wrestling matches in MMA. Gee, some one boxed instead of doing chin checking Chevelo imitations.

Boxing all starts with footwork; which is not dancing around out of range, but movement with in range, to get an angle. Great footwork places the one doing it, where he can get the most force out of a punch through torque.
Having the feet in exactly the right place to get his ass into a punch. And nullify his opponents range and power.

Boxing 101, boxers, vs. swarmers, maulers and power punchers will continue after a word from our sponsors.

Cotto vs margarito 2 was almost exactly the same fight accept that cotto fought smarter and at a different pace ,I hate what margarito did but people have to understand that he didn’t have his head wrapped he was there to be hit and always took it well ….

Posted September 1, 2014 5:08 am

@Havoc: If you didn’t watch the fight how do you know if a jab was frequently used or not? I am not interested in your analysis of a boring fight, and you really don’t have to watch and the sun will still come from the East. Surely his arrogance won’t stop either it has been working for him. You are right, keep your hard earned money to yourself and buy that cheap PPV in China coming soon then you will watch an explosive fight and the sun will still be coming up from the East. No big deal there

Posted September 1, 2014 4:51 am

@Hecdog: Since Mayweather has already lost is three fights in Castillo 1, Oscar and Maidana….

Tell me how many fights did Manny lose against one boxer called Marquez from the 4 fights?

He was knocked out, deal with that also!

Posted September 1, 2014 4:44 am

@Havoc did you really watched the first fight? Floyd was not using the jab a lot

Posted September 1, 2014 4:40 am

Maidana put Floyd in the right place. Floyd is a great fighter, just not as great as he and his fans think he is. Floyd is still in his prime, prior to the Maidana fight he was coming off a virtual shoot out against Canelo but father time is knocking at his door. This is the poor’s man Leonard-Duran version but the difference is that Marcos is still improving and Floyd already peaked. If Maidana can make subtle adjustments and improve his stamina Floyd is going to be in trouble because he will be forced against the ropes easier than before. Be prepare for a big upset, Chino by KO in 5.

Posted September 1, 2014 4:26 am

Nobody can KO Floyd! He is the anti action fighter. It’s all about the jab and tap you are it kind of guy. If a fighter knows how to avoid the action, it’s Floyd the master of peek a boo style aka boxing style!

Vivek Wallace, please don’t ever write another article giving Margarito any accolades. This guy was cheating with hardened plaster in his hand wraps. True boxing fans and historians alike pretty much have to discredit all of Margarito’s accomplishments because of this fact! Without the tainted wraps after he was caught, he was a shell of his former self which leads me to believe he’d been cheating, possibly his entire career, or at least in big fights. I’m particularly glad he and Mayweather never fought. It’s sad to know what Cotto suffered at the hands of a cheater. In my opinion, he’s no different than what Armstrong did during his cycling career. Because of Armstrong’s history of taking PEDS, you have to discredit his whole legacy.

Margarito deserves no respect for his illicit actions, so please give this cheating boxer no light from here on out. His actions were despicable and probably shortened many boxing careers.

Duran at LW was something else. His skills are under rated. His inside game was fantastic and his subtle movements to avoid shots and get in position were great. A match made in heaven would have been Duran Armstrong. That would be so mouth watering id be foaming like a rabid dog.

Visionary psychic seer

Because EVERYONE knew Margarito was a fraud who lost to Danny Santos and Paulie Williams…. The Master of Plaster was a punching bag who couldn’t fight.

Painfully obvious when Cheater Reeter lost every round and was smashed out by the elderly Shane Mosey… Lost every round and was mashed into a jelly by Pacman… Lost every round and was battered into a stoppage by little Miguel C.

So I don’t want to hear anything more about SHlTHEAD Margo

Vivek , is convinced that mayweather would have beat margarito easy but just as he said he was convinced he would beat Maidana just the same because he was ” tailor made” for him but it is funny how he is still convinced floyed would beat margarito for sure even though Maidana suprised him ….

Floyd’s downfall will be his age. If he no longer has it, then Maidana will have his chance. Sadly, many Mayweather haters will act like Maidana beat a 23 year old Mayweather it the upset happens. I still think Mayweather is smart enough with a solid defense to beat Maidana again. People forget that Floyd’s defense is just as good standing still as it is when he’s moving.

Amoe, “hating is destruction”… was that not Mayweather’s goal? Did he not say he started acted like that to make people want to see him lose? Because nobody was paying for his fights when he was not like that… yeah, he did! Don’t point a finger at people. He not only brought this judgement… he actually sought it.

Posted September 1, 2014 12:16 am

Vivek says.., “Some will balk at an angle which parallels Duran with Maidana or Margarito, but outside of Gennady G. Golovkin, those same people would probably struggle to name two more relentless competitors of this era in that same weight range. Maidana doesn’t have Margarito’s toughness.”

Truthfully… Maidana is a lot tougher than Margarito. Cheato was a toothless tiger without his plastered wraps – starting with the Mosley fight.

The worst fighters to compare Maidana to are Duran, Margarito, and Golovkin.

Maidana is a better technician than Margarito—who was a complete mess.

Maidana doesn’t compare as a technician to Duran—who was a good boxer.

Maidana doesn’t compare technically to GGG—who crushed Geale… has one of the best jabs in boxing… one of the best right counters… and one of the deadliest liver shots. Gennady has a deep bag of strategies to get brutal shots on your chin or your ribcage.

Marcos Maidana is another Bennie Briscoe.

He’s very tough, very aggressive, and throws punches relentlessly from everywhere. He wears you down.. If you’re mentally weak like Victor Ortiz you WILL quit.. Briscoe absorbed punches extremely well but lacked superb technical skills.. The same is true of Maidana… He’ll never be another Mikey Garcia … no matter how long he’s with Robert Garcia.

I know exactly how he did it. Watched the fight a few times. Fighting a bum in Mexico means nothing. Like I said Pac called Marquez out and challenged him to a drug test and he accepted but Pac declined since he would be tested also. Why is that? Why when it comes to drug testing Pac has an issue? Why is he only willing to do the random testing is when his fights happen in China?

Castillo and Oscar didn’t come close to beating mayweather. Maidana made it a good fight, partly because Floyd wanted to make it more of a fight. The rematch he won’t make the same mistake, it’s Gonna be a beautifully crafted lesson on the science of boxing. I do really like Maidana though and wish him the best of luck.

Hecdog you need to stop making excuses for the KO punch Marquez landed on Pac. What you fail to realize is Pac tried to feint Marquez but Marquez didn’t budge. He waited for Pac to actually throw the punch them bam. Lights out. Called a smart move. And again if you think Marquez is on something then you think Pac is dirty. Marquez called Pacs bluff about the drug testing and Pac backed off. Why is that?

Just like I though Marquez clearly beat Pac in the 3rd fight and Pac was looming for a way to quit in the Sanches fight. We will see how he looks against Algieri. I think he wins the decision but Algieri is gonna make him look terrible through out the fight. Further proving that Pac has major issues with counter punchers and boxers.

Hecdog you are completely wrong saying you can’t win in Vegas. Look how the scored the Canelo fight. That was a lesson Floyd gave Canelo. Not even close and the still scored that fight terribly. Maidana lost. Like I said if you really think he won then you also think Pac lost all fights to Marquez and The first fight to Bradley

I think like SRL did with Duran in the 2nd fight, Floyd is gonna be mobile, illusive and accurate with his punches. He will keep the fight in the middle of the ring and turn Maidana into a mummy.

Posted August 31, 2014 9:10 pm

Hecdog – did you foresee JMM righthand that the midget jumped into and was put to sleep? Floyd would have to be stationary for that looping righthand of Maidana to land and I hardly think he plans to be in the pocket much in this 2nd fight.

I feel like he is going to get blasted solid and go down but say he was fouled somehow and the ref. Will call it a no knock down…but then he will still be hurt and get up and Maidana will come in even harder looking to take his head from his shoulders. He will land hard and clean and the ref will slow count and Mayweather will beat the count and the round will end. I can see something like that.

Really ? pushing down the head, forearms, elbows pushing up under the chin, holding stiff arming Ya’ll just do not see it because he has been getting away with it for so long. just watch the mosley fight after getting rocked early Floyd elbows and forearms his way to victory. So how do you counter this well you either flop ala haye versus wk or you just throw punches like a wild man like maidana did ! I hope Maidana wins.

Great article from a great writer! Now most folks won’t give Mayweather any credit for having a lot of book smarts, but it is very evident that he has quite a bit of common sense and street knowledge. Everyone knows how Ariza was accused of being too involved in fighter’s (e.g., Pac, khan) preparation, to the point that he was trying give fighters instructions in the corner. If anyone knows the bad habits and tendencies of fighters that they’ve worked with before it’s Ariza. Mayweather gets a good workout and the real scoop on Maidana and his future opponent next year (i.e. Pac). Know thy enemy. Mayweather may not be able to read but he’s no fool.

I respect what Mayweather accomplished but i don’t like him. Too proud and narcisistic for me. I like Maidana, he did do some dirty things in the last fight and i don’t condone it but i think that was animosity from the disrespect he got from Mayweather leading up to the fight and Mayweather picking his gloves for him. If everything is conditional to FMJ.. is he not a “Conditional champion”? I mean if a commision approves the gloves… why in the hell does he dictate anything but his own choice of gloves?!? Mayweather brings too much to the table for Vegas, money runs the show. They can care less about Maidana, he is gonna have to knock Floyd out cold to win. Don’t see that happening.

Posted August 31, 2014 5:52 pm

Mayweather had adjusted to Maidana after the 6th round. He still got hit more than he should have. Maidana was hitting any and everything he could legal or not. One thing I have noticed in boxing in gerneral are the shots to the back of the head are being let go more and more. The ring is a rough place, elbows, head butts, low blows, it’s all a part of it. Maidana is coming one way cause it’s the only way he knows how to fight. Mayweather love him or hate him can box and is still slick enough to get off the ropes. Question isn’t weather Maidana can hit him with mega million dollar lottery shot. The question is, Can Floyds legs carry him for 12 pressure packed rounds. All Mayweather has to do is be standing when the bell rings and he gets a decision. Showtime has too much money to lose on their investment.

Posted August 31, 2014 5:25 pm

big moe

The 1…thats the biggest question….can Chino do it for 12 rounds. I dont think so. That was Chino best fight…dirty tactics and all and he still couldnt finish Floyd. Floyds punches hurt. He may not stop his opponents, but he sure makes them think about throwing punches.

And if Chino wants to eat punches all day long then thats fine. Chino cant do any better than the first fight especially with all the mma tactics. Bayless aint having that.

There is nothing that can be done on Floyd’s end. You run to stay away from the ropes and have fear cause the other guy is a big puncher you will get worn put the same as if you stayed on the ropes and tried to block and conserve energy. Bottom line is that if Maidana is truly ready to bang 100+ punches for all 12 rounds and in better shape; age is not on Mayweather’s side. Maidana knows this time he controlled things and got tired. He will also be confident that Mayweather’s shots don’t hurt because he already took them. Floyd will need to run and and land.. can he do it for 12 being pressured for 12 against a fighter that improves with every fight and hits like a sledgehammer? I think Floyd is a shot away. I think his age, his personal life and increasing lack of motivation along with Maidana knowing what to do better next time will ne Floyd’s downfall.

Vito makes some great points. But heres my assesments. Floyd has collected enough data on Chino to make adjustments. Hiring ariza is good because ariza can probaly give Floyd conditioning hes never had. Seeing how Floyd never had a strength and conditioning coach, he understands that his body needs help at this level. I ve watched the fights where floyd lies on the ropes. Most of the time its done willingly. He did it against Cotto and many people said “his legs were shot”.

In his fight against Guerrero, he kept the fight mostly in the center of the ring and only moved when necessary. One could hear Floyd Sr. in the Chino fight to stop messing around and laying on the ropes. When Floyd kept the fight in the center of the ring, he popped chino at will. He did the same with Cotto.

Floyd will not lay on the ropes and keep the fight in the center of the ring. Even if he has to pot shoot until Chino tires a little bit. Missing takes away energy and Floyd rarely wastes punches. Or Floyd will come out like he did against Canelo and walk him down and see how chino fights backing up. Plus Chinos dirty tatics were more of a mind game and thr ref let that stuff happen. Kenny Bayless wont allow the MMA tactics to go on. If Chino gets too brave he can find himself on the canvas looking up at lights.

FMJ will pick apart Chino, makes it easy and comes up with an easy win. Floyd already figured out Chino. The only reason FMJ was so quick to give him a rematch.

The Loc,

Sit down and have a nice cup of STFU, nut hugger.

Why poor blacks and white trash people root for a filthy rich, a-hole athlete is comic relief to me.

It’s official alex ariza has anounce on twitter he working in Floyd camp. They are picture of Alex and Floyd together at Floyd gym. And Floyd did say so. Few days ago.
So why is Floyd being a wishy washy clown, wasn’t he the joker that condemn manny as a steriord user and that the reason why he will not fight him? Didn’t he kept saying amybody working with ariza looks super after and are suspected of ped ? Wtf. Floyd clown a joker with a short momery, fooling his fans thinking he the greatest.con man.

Great article…for building pre-fight hype. But that’s all this is..pre-fight hype. Why people want to see Mayweather lose so badly is comic relief to me but the fact remains Maidana threw his best at Floyd and STILL couldn’t beat him, even when cheating!!! He had a cheater Strength & Conditioning coach (Alex Ariza) and a cheater trainer that tells him to be dirty. And STILL.. He could not beat Mayweather. AND HE WONT BE ANY BETTER IN THE REMATCH!! Because Floyd has figured Out Maidanas wild ass erratic style. Floyd is an all-terrain fighter whereas Maidana is a one-trick pony. Where the big surprise will come is when Maidana finds out he can’t bull Floyd into the ropes this time around and he wil have to box, and we all know Maidana won’t outbox Floyd.
