Didn’t Medina fail to make weight??? it was obvious that Medina was much bigger than J’Leon.. Just another South of the Border Weight Cheater like Canelo.. probably strung out on Steriods like Canelo and Chavez Jr.Posted September 2, 2014 1:31 pm
Yep, not surprised at all. Now everyone is gonna try to land that short left hook. He will see the canvas again, no doubt.Posted September 1, 2014 9:03 pm
“Who ever found this upset to be shocking lacks good judgment. J’Leon is a classic example of a hype job, he basically has nothing to offer in terms of skills but got all the exposure that money can buy through Floyd.” – True. Check Youtube and you’ll find a recent sparring video of Andre Dirrell beating his ass. Mind you this is the runner Dirrell, not the puncher Anthony. Andre didn’t bother running at all he just brawled Love and would’ve put him to sleep if he didn’t ease back after stunning him repeatedly. You do that when it’s just sparring.Posted September 1, 2014 4:03 pm
Actually Molina is clearly much better suited to jr. welterweight than he was lightweight.
He’s a really big guy and is a lot stronger and more healthy at the higher weight.Posted September 1, 2014 7:49 am

Credit to Mayweather promotions, they do put in some good fighters instead of tomato cans.Posted September 1, 2014 4:05 am

Well, well wat do we have here folks.another hyped up negroe shot down by a mexican warrior.no suprise here.keep walking nothing to see.hahahaaa. ps.HaahaaaPosted September 1, 2014 2:33 am
Anyone who’s an actual fan of boxing should applaud the underdog Medina for putting an end to the artificially manufactured hype of Love. This Love was being fast-tracked to a title shot even after getting busted for PEDs in 2013. Medina had lost four of last seven fights yet he still put this clown to sleep. A victory for journeymen boxers, and for fans who don’t want to see yet another cherry picking trinket holder ducking the best comp.Posted September 1, 2014 1:10 am

Didn’t know Medina came in over weight. Even though Live doesn’t deserve his ranking he still won’t lose it since he was fighting someone that couldn’t make weightPosted August 31, 2014 10:31 pm
Molina may have been stopped in a round by Demarco. But do you think Demarco is better than Mattysse? He went through some major rough spots against MolinaPosted August 31, 2014 10:27 pm
Love was talking crap about Golovkin , saying he is overhyped , that’s funny considering love lost to a guy that Golovkin would easily beat . Sorry to say but Golovkin would easily destroy love , like he had no love for love , just the lust for destroying love .Posted August 31, 2014 8:12 pm
One by one Floyd’s “lackys” are going down. From the beginning l dont think they were all that great, just overexposed due to their involvement with Mayweather Promotions.Posted August 31, 2014 7:57 pm

I show no love for love , because he is a way overhyped boxer .Posted August 31, 2014 7:41 pm
What does Floyd mean when he says fans are used to seeing him win 11 or 12 rounds and knocking guys out? What we see is him running, ducking and avoiding getting hit for all 12 rounds! I have never seen Floyd throw toe to toe with anyone except with Maidana in his last fight. I have never seen him knock anyone out except when he sneakily cold cocked Victor Ortiz when he wasn’t looking after headbutting Floyd. Maidana almost finished Floyd the last time and this time l hope he does! THALE ‘ LA MADRE A MAYWEATHER, MAIDANA!Posted August 31, 2014 7:40 pm
Love was showing Medina respect from the opening bell. didn’t seem to have the power and/or confidence to establish range and claim his space. momentum shifted in Medina’s favor by the end of the 2nd and he just picked up where he left off in the 3rd: rhythmic pressure, jabs, leads to the body, combos on the inside. the final shot was a Beaut(!). right on the button with follow-through. i don’t know if it exposed a suspect-chin but it shattered the chin it tagged last night.
Posted August 31, 2014 11:16 am
Love has been cracked a lot on the chin in his past battles and Porkey just out the finishing touch on the hair line fracture and cracked that glass for the whole world to see bro.
Don’t forget Pokey came in over the weight last night, that still cracks me up that Porkey was over weight, and every lunch he landed was hard and clean.Posted August 31, 2014 5:38 pm
LOL J’Leon Love off the PEDs gets KTFO. Poetic justice.Posted August 31, 2014 5:35 pm
Another overrated African-American boxer got exposed. No big news here!Posted August 31, 2014 3:52 pm
The mayweather trainers Floyd Sr and roger only have one successful fighter, if it weren’t for Floyd Jr these bums wouldnt be in boxing anymorePosted August 31, 2014 3:39 pm
I agree with Hecdog Love never really looked good. He’s dropped frequently should never of got the decision against Rosardo. Not surprised to see him loose good win for Medina thoPosted August 31, 2014 3:32 pm
So another money team punching bag get exposed. Floyd need to tell the his TMT guy’s that the WWE format hasn’t caught on with all of boxing yet but he’s working on it. They are just going to have to find out the hard way floyd can buy them the ref, the judges . He can buy the a chin. How sad for love. Maybe it that he want on PDS.Posted August 31, 2014 2:40 pm

Love has never proved himself at American level, let alone World level. The trouble is that boxers with influential promoters get false rankings after fighting soft touches. If he’d stepped in with a big punching champion or serious contender at World level he’d have been out of there in a round. In the long run this may slow down and help his career though – he will stop being overhyped and work his way up the rankings against increasingly tougher opponents.Posted August 31, 2014 1:29 pm
He was a knockout waiting to happen. Got lucky to survive his last two fightsPosted August 31, 2014 1:08 pm
When your chin is hung out like a lantern, and your head is turning in the direction of the on coming hook a featherweight can knock out a middleweight. Love may not have a china chin , he needs to tuck in the chin and roll with punches.Posted August 31, 2014 12:26 pm
Mayweather will be getting knocked out like that on the 13th.Posted August 31, 2014 11:45 am
I agree with Te tumbo and Peej … Love was not comfortable against this guy which probably means he is not comfortable against anybody at 168 with reasonable power.
I also think Love is a 168 pound fighter who fights like a 140 pound fighter. He does this Pernell Whitaker stuff that might work against small guys with small hands at 140 but seems high risk at 168. He drops down low with his hands even lower and his head is right there for a hooks. Medina caught him 2-3 times like that although the final blow was different.
Love doesn’t look drained or light in any of these fights so maybe a good solution would be getting down to 160. It is not a crazy thought because I think Love is only 5’10” whereas most of the elite guys at 168 are 6’0″ and 6’1″ and even 6’2″.
Love would have no chance against Golovkin — but I think Love vs. Quillen is a good fight, Love vs. Cotto is a good fight, Love vs. some of the European guys at 160 is a good fight.Posted August 31, 2014 11:39 am

Actually Bet lost to a decent fighter. A fight also which he was winning. Theopane is close to the end of his career that shouldn’t be an issue.Posted August 31, 2014 10:26 am
Love doesn’t look like he gas enough power for the 168lb division. He couldn’t keep that dude off him and he was just moving from corner to corner like he was already tiredPosted August 31, 2014 10:25 am
Stop calling out fighters not with Top Rank for promotion! Call out Marquez for the 20th time!Posted August 31, 2014 9:41 am
Theopane, Bey, and Jack. Then FMJ was dealt with by Maidana, although Floyd’s judges predictably robbed Maidana of his rightful win. And now Love has been exposed again.
The members of TMT are being shot down one by one and the most beautiful thing about it all is that that they’ve all been exposed and taken out by bums and C grade talents. TMT = hype over substance. Exposed!!!Posted August 31, 2014 9:38 am

Just goes to show that Love’s ranking was based on his nationality and affiliation rather than actual achievements. He may learn from this and still make a name for himself but any big puncher will have his number.Posted August 31, 2014 8:56 am
The WHOLE crowd was for love. It reminded me a little of when they tried to get a title to Danny Jacobs the 1sr time. When they matched him up against the unknown Pirog only to get knocked out with one shot. This was a similar setup/letdown for the house fighter.Posted August 31, 2014 8:55 am
Yah! showbox is like a box of chocolates.Posted August 31, 2014 8:07 am
I knew he would get caught like that considering he leaves his jaw in the air all the time since the last fight he looked like if he met up with a good puncher they would lay him outPosted August 31, 2014 7:49 am
This is what happens when a fight is not fixed. 1 punch can destroy a boxer’s future. This is why i still love boxing.Posted August 31, 2014 7:22 am
Not really that surprising since Love wasn’t really that good imo.Posted August 31, 2014 6:54 am
