I think Brook has some action if he can get Porter to respect his punches…”but if if was a fifth we’d all be drunk” lol

I don’t train boxers anymore. I’m too involved with other occupations. If somebody calls or emails me I’ll give them advice

They pretended to listen… which happens with a lot of guys.. goes in one ear and out the other.. He listened to Ronnie in the end… did the power pills and oxygen chamber, which messed him up

you saying you had access to La Bamba’s camp then? If so, why did no one listen to you then?

Posted August 12, 2014 9:26 am

I was excited about the fight… But I go by what’s happening in camp… Edwin had a bad one… Really bad.

Before the fight I definitely picked Ward to win and was very critical of Edwin’s prep.

La Bamba is now residing at TARK’S getting nursed back to fitness by the old coot!

More posts by TARK lavishing praise on La Bamba to come.

TARK, you mong!

You wrote several times that Andre Ward had never met a guy with the boxing skills of La Bamba, before Ward coming off a lengthy layoff took him to school for every second of the fight.

Tark, please don’t lie again.
Please don’t make me trawl through your old posts and OUT you in a worse way than Frank Maloney got outed.

You are a pathological liar who lies through his false teeth time and time again.

Next you will try and lie about how great you thought Austin Trout was because he beat Miguel Cotto, when lots of posters questioned his lack of quality opposition before he took on Canelo.

The word TARK is now in the dictionary synonymous with LIAR!

American Drug testing. hahahahahhhhhhhh.

Posted August 11, 2014 9:43 am

All this crap about testing to me is bullshlt… I knew people were on Dianabol and I wasn’t — and it never bothered me for a second.

I think testing is good, and everybody takes the standard tests. And when they want to elevate the testing standards that will be good… I could GAF less.

All these athletes who were positive for PED’s—Berto, Chavez, Morales, Vargas, Peterson, Toney, Rios, few if any of them won … or are going anywhere.

All the records that Olympians set in the 60’s and 70’s when steriods were still legal have been smashed by clean athletes… so the junk must not have been that great.

Training, nutrition, and rest are what get you there. PED’s won’t get you anything but a messed up body.

Fight Aficionado

Guys are saying Porter suddenly offered to do random testing this weekend for a fight that’s 1 week away. The offer was declined since it’s way too late for a testing program to begin. So, if we start hearing propaganda about Porter supporting random testing, know it’s just PR spin. Brook requested out of comp testing months ago and Porter rejected it.

@ Anonymous/Stupid SHlTFACE.. I didn’t say any of those guys were master boxers.

I said Rigondeaux.. Lomachenko.. Floyd.. Ward.. and Golovkin

His list of fighters to hate on has just grown longer.
Roy Jones Jnr

BUT, Tark lavishes praise on Porter, Brook, Lara, Trout and La Bamba as master boxers!!!!!!!!

You couldn’t make it up, even if you tried!

Brook s far too talented not to win a World Title. At his best, he’s a beautiful boxer to watch with some of the slickest skills we’ve seen in a British boxing ring for a long time. I’ll be nervous watching but I think this will be his moment and Brook will deliver. This fight is huge for him and he has the skills so I’m calling him to do it.

Posted August 10, 2014 5:47 am

Brook has been in training camp for 16 weeks due to various things. 14 weeks is too long. There’s a good chance he’ll be stale.

Posted August 10, 2014 3:48 am

I’ve seen little of brook so interested in your comments. In the senchenko fight I thought brook looked in control and balanced, but his punch output seemed a bit low and he risks being overwhelmed by porters activity. He got a bit sloppy in round 4 and got stunned with a right due to his defense slipping, he can drop his left hand at the wrong times. On the other side, he looks calculating and has some pop. If he counters with power on target that could give porter something to think about. Looking forward to the fight.

Posted August 9, 2014 11:15 pm

andy 147 … “anomynous have u seen brook fight ???”

Yep, I’m from the UK. I’ve seen nearly all of Brooks fights going way back. Brook almost lost to Carson Jones in 2012, he was in serious trouble against him at times. Credit to Kell he did much better in the rematch, but Shawn Porter is far better than Jones. Don’t misunderstand me, I want Brook to win, he’s a UK fighter, but in my opinion Porter is much better than him and he will beat the crap out of Brook. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t let the fact that he’s from the UK cloud more thoughts. Watching what Porter did to Paulie who is a very skillful tough-as-nails world class fighter convinces me that Porter will do exactly the same thing to Brook. Porter is a beast that Brook won’t be able to cope with at all.

Posted August 9, 2014 9:28 pm

Porter is going to get laid out cold.

Posted August 9, 2014 7:55 pm

hook I get that but its been that no one whats to fight brook … I know u will go back to the alexander fiasco pull out by both men the truth will come out next Saturday….

anomynous have u seen brook fight ??? while I admit it will be close porter hasn’t been in the ring with anyone as good will be found out in this one !!!

Posted August 9, 2014 7:36 pm

TARK “HAH!! … Brook is no Cleverly … he’s a live underdog.”

TARK You haven’t got a clue as always, Porter will slaughter him. Brook is gonna get beat down and knocked out.

Posted August 9, 2014 7:27 pm

Joe Calzaghe is Joe Calzaghe.. Jeff Lacy is himself. Same for Porter and E. Brook. Porter will not be comparable to Lacy vs Calzaghe when he fights Brook. Calzaghe was far beyond what anyone thought of him and Kell Brook shouldn’t be mentioned in the same thread.. let alone comment.

Posted August 9, 2014 6:59 pm

andy 147

brook ko in round 8 for me … only worry is early porter pressure once he gets tagged a few times coming in brooks superior skills will pick him apart

Posted August 9, 2014 5:48 pm

Now THIS is an interesting fight. The winner is set up for big business. A win for Porter would mean wins over Alexander, Malignaggi, and Brook in successive fights. While I’d prefer to see him fight Keith “One Time ” Thurman next, a Porter win could possibly set up a Mayweather fight. As for Brook, a win could mean an all-British megafight with Amir Khan. I am looking forward to Porter-Brook.

Posted August 9, 2014 5:46 pm

“This could be another King Joe Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacey”

NOT a chance… Calzaghe was a brawler who fought nearly the whole Lacy fight on the inside – trading punches with a short squat hooker … He couldn’t stop Lacy but he beat him to death.

Brook boxes more from the outside. He has a sharper jab and stronger straight power shot than Calzaghe. He makes better use of his height.

But obviously Porter is a much better opponent than Lacy.

Posted August 9, 2014 5:39 pm

Kell the Cal and port the jeff

Porter will come out to start quick but Kell who I believe has the superior speed and power will start picking him off and then wear Porter down!!!

Just my view, so don’t start laying into me guys! Haha

Posted August 9, 2014 5:31 pm

andy 147

who is the calzaghe and who is lacy then elvis >?

Posted August 9, 2014 5:24 pm

This could be another King Joe Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacey!!!!

Posted August 9, 2014 5:18 pm

HAH!! … Brook is no Cleverly … he’s a live underdog.

The jab and the straight right can work for Brook… He showed against Senchenko that he has good speed and power on them. It’s going to be a lot tougher to get those punches on Porter, who’s quick and clever. It’s a chess match.

Brook has to be in the zone and keep throwing. He’s not going to land a high percentage. He just needs to follow up like a killer if he gets good knuckle on bone contact. I don’t think getting a decision is feasible.

He could box his ass off for 4 or 5 rounds to see where the points situation is. If it isn’t looking good, a Marquez-Pacquiao IV strategy could be resorted to. Sit in the weeds and try to end it with one shot. Brook has a couple inches in height on Porter. Height is more important than reach when you’re bombing from range – but Shawn attacks behind his jab really well, so a highly honed jab will be the key for Brook—and the straight right.

haven’t seen a lot of porter in uk but respect for beating dull alexander and durable but powder puff mallignagi and ko in him he must be pretty good… but a lot of underestimating brook here he is much better than those 2 and will be a coming of age fight for both men !

Posted August 9, 2014 5:14 pm

Oi, Twat face. Cleverly is clueless and fights as well as you think, which us not very well at all. Tony B us going to knock him into next week as will any decent Cruiser he has the guts to face… ie Huck, Hernandez and even Afolabi and Ovill Mackenzie. He’s been matched with patsies on his comeback and is as bad now as he was before Kovalev took his head off.
I’ve never once seen that clown move his head. He defends with his face, which it have a strong suspicion you do too. Now, run along and play with your Nathan Cleverly doll. The grown ups are talking.

kell brook could be another cleverly.

“Kell” Brook is great,… in the UK. The question: Is he great on a world stage? Good?.. probably. Great?… Mmmm.. we will see.

Posted August 9, 2014 3:38 pm

Brook, Cleverly, Harrison, Haye, and Fury can go get a pint at the british Hype Job Pub after Porter annihilates Kell. The only brit who’s worth a sh*t is Froch, and he’s barely british at all, a pollack.

Special K to KO the dwarf.

Posted August 9, 2014 5:15 am

Interesting mitt vids. Brook has some fun switch hitting going on and Porter is moving clockwise and like some thought, is practicing getting off first, move, counter the counter. Brook seems to be low handed a bit too long after delivery. Porter seems very conscious of maintaining high hands nor matter what mode he is in. Really looking forward to this very fascinating match up. Challenging things for both guys to be wary of.

Posted August 9, 2014 4:49 am

Crystal Ball is correct about Nathan Cleverly. UK has had 2 MENSA registered Light Heavies in Clev and Nicky Piper who were totally clueless in a boxing ring and actually would have been best placed in baseball as they caught so many shots. Cleverly is a lock to end his career with p.d. as he can neither slip, nor block even the most basic of shots. He’s even been fed 2 of the worst fighters on the planet at Cruiserweight to build up his confidence. But, his next fight will end in KO defeat the moment his chin gets tapped.

At least mention something related to boxing as you have chosen to view this site. Porter demolishes a feeble stinky island dweller named Kelly Le Brock.

I’m worried for Kell that all he talks about is his jab, only WK can jab his way to a win, you’re going to need more than that to beat this guy sorry Kell, still hoping you can pull it off!

Posted August 8, 2014 7:42 pm

Crystal Ball

Porter will annihilate Kelly Le Brock. It’s amazing how patriotism blinds the stinky island fools from logic and common sense. After this one you won’t know if you just saw, Kelly Le Brock or ‘Not So’ Cleverly as they are both over hyped pretenders.

IF Brook or someone on his team doesn’t read MY posts then he’s going to get knocked out. He’s a BIG SUCKER for Right hands. Even Sugar Shane Mosley could stop him IF he doesn’t CORRECT that flaw like yesterday. He’s still got another week to work on it SO that we can actually have a competitive Fight…..IF he doesn’t take MY advice he will SURELY get stopped.

Posted August 8, 2014 7:05 pm

Brook is going to expose Porter for the doped-up hype-job he is. Brook will humiliate him with those superior British skills and then brutally KO the scummy yank. WAR BROOK.

Posted August 8, 2014 6:47 pm

Im really high on Porter I think he’s ready. Haven’t seen Brook fight here good things about him but he better be up to the task. Hope Brook has it in him its been a great year of fights maybe this is another one.

Prof Konje

I’ve been hearing about Brook and reading articles about him but never saw him fight. He has a good record but then anyone’s record is only as good as their opponents. I’ll go with Brook for August 16.

Too late for brook to be taking off the training wheel s now . Boxing is about levels n brook should ve learned the hard lesson s as he stepped up the levels . The thing is if he was matched competitively earlier who knows how good hd could have been . Btw don t give haymon any credit for this good match up brook is the mandotary n he has a big promoter in matchroom backing him

We can thank Porter for getting rid of the snorebore runner Devon Alexander. Alexander’s only entertaining defense was due to the aggressive attack of Matthysse, who beat him but was robbed. Porter-Brook should bring more action than any of Alexander’s bouts.

I think Porter is gonna steamroll Brook but I really hope its a good scrap. Boxing hasn’t had a good fight of the year type of fight in a long time and the fights coming up don’t seem to offer any good fights either.

If I was brooks I would try to win on the Counter punch and a deadly one. and seeing how he predict a late ko. He partly working on this.
But he be suprise to find himself twice as slow as porter and out gunned .
Porter should be aware that one Cou ter is all brook need and can’t get careless midway, learn and study brooks counter punch, and will not be suprise with it, and a easy win short win.
