Hecdog (the village idiot ) has GGG @32yrs old as a “Legend in making “. Name one Legend who at 32 yrs old and 10 defenses had not faught a top tier boxer?Posted July 30, 2014 4:38 pm
“if they fought Tomorrow,Alvarez v GGG who wins.”
I’d have to go with GGG because of his power. Canelo has never been hit with the kind of power that GGG has. I mean it’s downright devastating.
But I also think Canelo would put some hurt on Gennady. He throws some murderous body shots and nice combinations. I think he would also give GGG’s chin a real test, ecause Canelo is going to find it.
On the whole I think it would be a very tough fight for both men. I think it would be a battle. Gennady is a much more effective aggressor than Canelo, but Canelo is more of a counter puncher.Posted July 29, 2014 3:37 pm
good to have you back my son. if they fought Tomorrow,Alvarez v GGG who wins. No jokes coz I”m in the pub.Posted July 29, 2014 12:09 pm
“Hidalgo is okay, good to see you back.”
Thanks, Anonymous. I’m getting a little tired of having to change my nick. :) I guess I’ll just have to be nice to the pundits who contribute to ESB. That will be challenging. LOL!Posted July 29, 2014 10:09 am
“Hibdeebibdee my friend, GGG is a legend in the making.”
Now, that may be true Hecdog. But at present GGG is no legend.Posted July 28, 2014 7:06 pm
“Golovkin simply needs to demonstrate the desire and integrity of Canelo and MAKE those matchups happen,”
The main problem here te tumbo, is that GGG isn’t promoted by GBP or Top Rank. When you have promotional juggernauts like that behind you you get results. GGG is not so lucky at this point in time.Posted July 28, 2014 7:03 pm
“what Happend to the great HIlango.”
LMAO! Well, thanks for calling me great but I think you meant “Hidalgo.” I am he. My old nick got banned because I criticized Jeff Sorby and one of his articles. Again. What I don’t understand is why other posters get away with criticizing pundits who contribut to ESB but I don’t?
Anyways, Anonymous, I am Hidalgo.
Continue on with your insults and personal attacks. :)Posted July 28, 2014 7:01 pm

Hibdeebibdee my friend, GGG is a legend in the making. You will see as he destroys one fighter after another. He has very little weaknesses if any. He fights in the style of Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. In his prime. He is going to get better , and will raise his game with better competition.Posted July 28, 2014 3:20 pm

Golovkin Vs. Cotto would sell out at MSG, would be huge PPV. Roach was there to scout Golovkin, but after seeing him I doubt Roach will allow Cotto to come near Golovkin period. Golovkin’s camp has been in talks with Soliman for unification fight, the other fake champions can run and hide the rest of their careers. Golovkin also offered to come down to 154 and fight Void, but Void ran away, hell, Void is still running from the midget Pac……………..Posted July 28, 2014 2:06 am
GGG is BETTER at finding openings and knowing how to take advantage of them. He has more punching power than Canelo and he has better Offensive SKILLS and better Defensive SKILLS. IF you need ME to expound on that then I can expound on that but you’d better go get you some EYEGLASSES….The BETTER Fight is GGG vs Lara. The ultimate RUNNER vs the Ultimate Ring Cutter Offer. Lara is very difficult to hit but he CAN be hit. Whenever Golovkin cuts him off he’s in Big Trouble. I have to take Golovkin there by lopsided decision which means that he is now in MY Top 5 P4P and Lara is OUT… 1. Mayweather 2. Ward. 3. Rigo 4. Golovkin 5. Kovalev 6. Lara. 7. Lomachenko 8. M. Garcia 9 . Klitschko 10. PacquiaoPosted July 28, 2014 1:34 am

Hookoffthejab -hell yeah I wanna see Canelo vs 3G, that’ll be a badass..Im just giving you an example of how some of you fanboys sound sucking all over Golovkin with your double standards..Canelo said he’ll continue fighting who ever the fans want him to fight but right it seems like GBP has him booked to take on Kirkland later this year and Cotto in May..Canelo vs 3G would be perfect in Sept/2015 if they both continue on the war pathPosted July 28, 2014 12:42 am
And by the way GGG WON by TOO MUCH punishment stoppage just as I predicted! !!!!!!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born! !!!!!!!!!Posted July 27, 2014 11:53 pm

tetumbo So your ever present ignorance tells you that Canelo can ktfo of Golovkin? LOL How? With what? Not even Canelo believes that nor will he ever want to find the fk out, like over sized cheater JCC JR. I know Canelo has talent, over hyped talent by idiots like you. I have no problems with him, it’s YOUR mfkn rah rah rah fan boy stupidity that goes waaaayyyyy beyond insanity that sucks to the heavens, a place were not many of your compadres will spend eternity. LOL! There might be a tiny village or varrio, but controlled. And there’s NO CRIME ALLOWED so most Mexicans will rather go to HELL. And no Rio Grande, which means your kin can’t enter Heaven illegally. LOL Word!Posted July 27, 2014 8:58 pm
“Time to move up to 160 the most prestige’s weight division in boxing …..Whats he waiting for ???” I agree. so we’re on the same page then. arguing in Favor of the best and most competitive matchups. Canelo v. Golovkin at 154-160lbs suits Me fine . . . Or Golovkin at 168lbs. the ball is in Golovkin’s court. IMO, he gets affirmative responses to a serious challenge from several boxing camps. i just don’t hear Team GGG clamoring for any of them like Canelo’s challenges of Cotto, Trout, Mayweather, and Lara. All Serious. All Confirmed or Declined. the blueprint is there. what Golovkin needs to do is make some serious challenges to serious opponents and the matchups will happen IF he wants them.Posted July 27, 2014 8:50 pm
at the moment, Golovkin is bracketed by two younger, talented, and equally-seasoned pros at middleweight. IMO, Canelo KTFO of Golovkin and I wouldn’t be surprised if “Zurdo” Ramirez did as well. the competition is there. Golovkin simply needs to demonstrate the desire and integrity of Canelo and MAKE those matchups happen, e.g., how long were ESB’s resident dumbasses insisting that Canelo was avoiding Lara? instead Canelo MAKES that matchup happen at which point Lara sabotages it by neglecting to show up prepared to Fight.
Lara exposed Canelo for the plodding 2 dimensional boxer he is ……. Canelo cant even make weight at 154 …Time to move up to 160 the most prestige’s weight division in boxing …..Whats he waiting for ??? ………..Posted July 27, 2014 8:19 pm
Mayweather needs to stop running from this guy!!Posted July 27, 2014 8:13 pm
One thing I will say about Golovkin , he is an EXTREMELY entertaining fighter to watch .
Beale was made for him stylistically though , a soft handed volume puncher – mover .
The perfect style for a skilful attacking warmer type fighter.
GGG does rely on his chin a lot though , he reminds me of Carl Froch in that regard .
He definitely looked to be the best middleweight going around , Alvarez would be a great money fight and Canelo can’t make 160 anymore so as they say ” let’s get it on ” .
Quillin is a nobody and GGG would wreck Cotto , too young , too big , too powerful.
Froch or Ward would both be really interesting match ups but GGG seems to be a genuine natural middleweight so Canelo is the fight that makes sense . Both financially and from a sporting viewpoint .Posted July 27, 2014 6:59 pm

Golovkin is to big for the mexican.Posted July 27, 2014 6:21 pm
te tumbo says.., “IMO, Canelo KTFO of Golovkin”
With what??? Canelo doesn’t have the jab, weaponry, footwork, defense, range, or speed to deal with GGG… The only one getting the fuk knocked out of him would be Canelo.
Now DON’T go back to Lara.. Lara out-maneuvered and out-scored Canelo easily.. But let’s face it.. Lara doesn’t have the power to knock Canelo out — and that’s what he NEEDED to to get the win from those 3 judges — who were determined to give Canelo the fight if possible.
However… when GGG hits Canelo he’ll break his face… and knock him TFO.
Let’s DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted July 27, 2014 5:38 pm

3G is a good fighter but the MW division is weak ..that’s why Golovkin needs to step up to Ward so we can see how well he cuts off the ring against an elite boxer who also happens to be top 3 P4P ..

GGG is not a legend Hecdog. He hasn’t even fought the big players in his weight division yet.Posted July 27, 2014 1:14 pm
GGG is a legend. He’s one of those elite fighters that has the physical and mental toughness to beat everyone. His pressure is unrelenting, and if he hits you, you’re going out. I think he’s still growing and developing, and the best GGG is yet to come. You can bring on Ward, Quillin, Canelo and the rest of them. GGG has started his reign as king of boxing. He is dominating the sport. The only other fighter to have done something like this in a more destructive and exciting manner is the legendary Manny Pacquiao.Posted July 27, 2014 11:15 am

INTERESTING… GGG seems to have been working on his communication skills which will aid him in his cross-over appeal to the public…
His post fight interview was perfect. His eyes glinted with happiness, he was polite, BUT got his point across… COTTO, Quillin, Soliman, here I am… Let’s fight.
He wants to unify the Middleweight title, which like the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight titles had traditionally been unified for periods at least and is the correct route for him to take to stardom.
GGG is learning fast that he needs to sell his image inside and outside the ring and be seen in the right places to climb that ladder.
A fight with COTTO would be huge at MSG and turn him into a star overnight.
It’s time for GGG’s backers to dig deep into their pockets and make the fight(s) happen. If I were GGG I would ask them like Ricky Hatton asked Frank, If you truly believe in me then you would speculate (shell out some hard cash) to accumulate or… I’m off to someone who can……
