“Pac surpassed Oscar by alot”. when did Manny* ever pull in 2 million PPVs for a bout? when did DLH ever pull in less 500k? if Pacquiao* is passing up DLH, it’s in the wrong direction.

Gentlemen, let the celebrations begin. The date has been set for the greatest pure fighter of all time (Manny Pacquiao) to enter the squared Circle once again. The excitement seems to be brewing around the world as usual because this is more than just a fight. The anticipation of watching the legendary Manny Pacquiao make his walk to the ring is similar to watching mankind take his first step on the moon. Chris Algeri must be commended for actually agreeing to the terms, now all that’s left is for Chris to sign the contract, which will be a major challenge. I know the critics will begin trying to pick this young unbeaten fighter apart, but they must remember that he just beat a guy (Provodnikov) that everyone was afraid to fight. Algeri is a young, athletic well rounded boxer, and he has the courage and guts of a real fighter. We all saw how he dug down deep within himself after having been dropped and had his eye closed. He showed character as he went on to win his toughest challenge. Chris Algeri deserves a lot of credit and no criticism. Unfortunately for him, he faces in Manny Pacquiao the most ferocious, athletic, intelligent, fighting machine in the history of boxing. There’s no need for me to give you his history or examples of what Manny Pacquiao can do. We’ve all seen it and have been in awe of the masterful boxing and devastating power he possesses. Manny will capture the world’s attention and be front page of all the world media and front page of the local newspapers if they’re still around. The World Cup just finished, and by all accounts, the viewing numbers were out of this world. Manny Pacquiao viewers will beat the World Cup ratings. HBO will receive another huge rating because of what Manny Pacquao brings to the table. No other fights need to be added because Manny Pacquiao carries fights on his own. You will be surprised at the PPV numbers for this fight. Algeri stepped up, but other fighters like the cry baby coward that has acne all over himself (Marquez) ran like a chicken. Mayweather also continued with his lame excuses and wants no part of Manny Pacquiao. And the rest of them that include Porter, Thurman, Canelo, D. Garcia, M. Garcia all want no part of stepping into the ring with Manny Pacquiao. These guys are suppose to be fighters. Manny Pacquiao has never ducked anyone. he fought the best of his time, but others won’t. This fight will let people know that Manny Pacquiao is yet to reach his prime. he will use his power to end this fight. Algeri is a good athlete, but he cannot compare to Manny’s athleticism. If he tries to use those silly little movements he used against Provodnikov, he wis going to get plastered. He will have all sorts of trouble with Manny’s style. The feints, speed, power, ring generalship. The right hooks and left hands will land often, and when Algeri gets dropped, he isn’t going to get up. Sorry Chris, this is not a good match up for you. Manny is an illusion from the outside looking in, but once you get in there, you will be mesmerized by all the tools he has. Algeri will not see the punches coming. My neighborhood will begin preparing for the Manny’s fight festival we have one month out for each of his fights. This will be a big celebration. Trust me when I say this. Manny Pacquiao will bring happiness and joy to his fans throughout thew world on November 22. We will all be able to have a great peaceful Thanksgiving just a few days after. Mark your Calendars for this explosive event. I will attempting to see this fight live in Macau China, but it will be a serious challenge for me. Any donations would be appreciated. Manny is the best!

jonny b. good

Dulorme looked gun shy in his last fight. I think he argentinean who beat him took something out of him He did not look the fighter he was before the defeat. He has along way to go before he faces an elite fighter like Pacquiao.

Gentlemen, no need to get all bent out of shape when I give Manny Pacquiao his just due. Come on, we all know that Manny has captured the viewers attention for years. He has been the most exciting and dynamic fighter the world has ever seen. The man has fought the best of his time and beaten them all. I’m not blowing things up, its fact. And yes he is without a doubt the most influential person on earth bar none. he has more fans than any other athlete in sports period. We need to salute this man that came from nothing to the only 8 division boxing champion ever. The good he does outside the ring is only matched by the destruction he does inside the ring. The poor, rich, bad and good all come out tosee this man fight. The worlds dignitaries and most important people on earth praise Manny Pacquiao. Fighters from the past and present all agree that he is what a true fighter and gentlemen should be. This blessed man give Bible Study classes because he is a true man of God. This isn’t some charade he puts on, it’s real. Manny Pacquiao should not be blamed for having such true and honest character that he is loyal to a fault with Bob Arum, and that’s okay. How many people do you know that have such loyalty. Manny Pacquiao brings people together. He never shows any malice towards his opponents or naysayers. THURMAL UNDERWEAR my friend, Manny is the most intelligent fighter and businessman ever. How many people do you know that have accomplished what he has? Successful singer, writer, composer, model, congressman, actor, clothing designer, basketball player, coach and the most marketable and sought after person in the world. His boxing accomplishments dwarf any other boxers past or present. Manny Pacquiao is a thinking machine that knows no bounds. Please gentlemen, you have to admit that Manny Pacquiao is the 9th wonder of the world. I’m in awe of what he does and succeeds, and so should you. Trust me on this, Manny Pacquiao elevated the sport of boxing when he entered the sport. Manny is the best, and until someone else wins 8 division titles, Manny Pacquiao is rightfully the best ever.

World wide, Manny Pacquiao is the most popular and beloved boxer in history. Not Ali, Louis, Marciano, Tyson, Chavez or any other pugilist has made the kind of impact the legendary Manny Pacquiao has. Manny Pacquiao is one of the most influential people, not just boxer, but people ever. He was on the COVER of TIME Magazine. He’s a political congressman known throughout the world and not because he’s a boxer. Presidents have had him over for dinner and ask advice of him. The greatest athletes like Kobe Bryant created a shoe solely because of Manny Pacquiao’s influence on him. Manny Pacquiao helps the poor and those that have no voice. Forget the PPV numbers that he dominates, there are still millions of people that never get to see him fight that are unaccounted for when they put these numbers together. Their was a recently discovered tribe in the Himalaya mountains, and the only word or name they pronounce was Manny Pacquiao. Did any of you guys not pay attention to the latest news concerning Manny Pacquiao. Two cattle rustlers were on the run in the Philippines and would not surrender to authorities, but they specifically asked for Manny Pacquiao and turned themselves into him only. Manny was the Sheriff like the old western days, and he brought in the two criminals by himself. Adding to Manny’s legacy is the new law that passed congress pertaining to human trafficking. Manny is an outstanding law abiding citizen. He is more than just a boxer that we need to be grateful for. I get a bit emotional when I begin talking about this man because he is all but a Saint. Manny Pacquiao is a man that fights for the people and justice inside and outside the ring. trust me when I say this, Manny Pacquiao deserves to be President one day. Manny is the best!

Thanks for the correction it must’ve been Tyson in the 500 mil range.

Posted July 15, 2014 2:43 pm

Oscar is at 696,796,000 but you may be right he may have surpassed him after the Bradley fight.

Posted July 15, 2014 2:38 pm

“But yet Floyd is the alltime best PPV seller in America, behind him is Oscar then Pac.”

But who really cares, Peej? I mean other than Floyd, Oscar, or Manny, who really cares?

Posted July 15, 2014 2:36 pm

Pac surpassed Oscar by alot. Oscars in the 500 mil range.

Posted July 15, 2014 2:28 pm

But yet Floyd is the alltime best PPV seller in America, behind him is Oscar then Pac. And now Pac is fighting Algerie. lol

Posted July 15, 2014 2:20 pm

As long as Floyd continues to avoid Pac he gets a pass on whoever he fights. You Floyd fans wanna compare their careers parallel to each others on ppv sales instead of seeing them fight. Well guess what Floyd lost on that end too only selling 300k ppvs more than Pac in his own country.

Posted July 15, 2014 2:17 pm

Pac isn’t the most popular fighter in boxing history and his PPV #s. Algerie would deserve more than 300 thousand if he fights Pac. He should at least be getting 1.5 mil

hecdog….manny is on his way out. real fast. been on his way out for a while now. his ppv #s are garbage. he’s running on fumes. he’s fighting bums and bus drivers and everything in between trying to remain relevant.that boy is, was and always will be SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

bring back the steroids; we want the old manny!

Posted July 15, 2014 1:48 pm

Thurmal Underwear my friend, Algeri has done nothing to deserve more than $300,00 for a fight against the biggest name in boxing history. A win over a one dimensional, no defense Provodnikov doesn’t earn you a big pay day with Manny. Manny Pacquiao is the most popular fighter in boxing history. There’s plenty of fights for him, but as I mentioned, everyone makes excuses not to fight Manny. Algeri is just a flash in the pan, and will get beaten up badly by Manny Pacquiao. Porter and the rest of the welterweights and junior middleweights will take a beating also. Manny Pacquiao fears no one. He doesn’t even need boxing as he is capable of venturing into any career he wants. Manny has called them all out. No one wants a part of him. Like I said, if any fighter thinks he can beat Manny Pacquiao, take whatever the offer is and beat him then you can make millions after. Manny Pacquiao calls the shots because of who he is and what he has accomplished. Ped Man Marquez wants nothing to do with Manny. Do you wonder why? He beat him with the infamous Ped Punch, so why doesn’t he want another fight? The acne was just one of many tell tale signs. Mayweather wants no part of Manny either. I would hope Cotto would want a rematch, but he knows better. My last hope is for GGG to accept a fight. Trust me, Manny Pacquiao would beat him. I would bet my house on it. No one beats Manny on a one fight basis. Ask Margarito, Hatton, Oscar and others. Manny is the best. I am being as objective and sincere as i can be when it comes to Manny Pacquiao. Manny is the best

4u hecdog:

$1.5 million is really low money for an “event” fight, even considering that Pacquiao events aren’t what they used to be. While it would be a career-best payday for Algieri, he may have some leverage here. Pacquiao doesn’t have a lot of options for November, as Top Rank’s cupboard at 140-147 is pretty bare for name fighters that Pacquiao has not already beaten. Juan Manuel Marquez appears totally disinterested in a fifth fight with Manny, which is the biggest fight out there for Pacquiao.

…..another little guy so i’m sure they’re excited to get this one signed quickly if they can. smoke and mirrors for a career; quackman.

Actually Pac has used every excuse, Floyd used about 3. Isn’t Algerie fighting Pac next. Roach said Arum told him to get ready for Algerie. lol

Just another chump is using mannys name to get his name out there. It’s kind of like people from back in the day calling out now famous rappers. Best to keep them chumps of silence anybody knows that

Take it easy, Dulorme.

If you’ve never heard of Thomas Dulorme, you’re not a real fan of boxing.

Posted July 15, 2014 12:22 pm

The legendary Manny Pacquiao continues to scare prospective fighters to death. Algeri never wanted any part of the iconic legend. Manny Pacquiao is a warrior that makes opponents that may step into the ring him with question themselves. The thoughts “Do I really want to take on this monster”, “What if I get hurt.” clearly resonate in their mind. Mayweather, scared to death has used every excuse known to man not to fight Manny Pacquiao, and that’s a fact. Juan Manuel “Ped Man” Marquez has been very clear that he wants no part of Manny Pacquiao, not even with Angel Hereida in his camp. And last but not least, Algeri purposely over inflates his money value so that he doesn’t have to step into the ring with the greatest pure fighter of all time, Manny Pacquiao. The same story will continue with Porter, Cotto, Mikey/Danny Garcia, Canelo, Lara, Quillin and Thurman. Manny Pacquiao’s name carries such power. It’s not Arum, it’s the fighters themselves. If they really thought they could beat Manny Pacquiao they would make the fight regardless of what they would be paid. Manny’s southpaw, unique and unorthodox style of fighting is a puzzle that will never be solved in one fight. As I have stated before, no one beats Manny Pacquiao on a one fight basis, no one. He has a blend of speed, power, timing, athleticism, sharpness and crunching power that will hurt anyone at any weight. Remember, this is an actual light weight taking on guys that are naturally much bigger. He’s not like Canelo that walks into the ring weighing 170 plus and trying to beat up small guys. Now we have Thomas Dulorme coming into the picture. This is a good decent, talented fighter. At least he has the courage to take Manny Pacquiao on. His chances of winning are slim and none, but he must get credit for wanting to fight Manny for now. As the fight gets closer, he will find an excuse like they all do. Success can sometimes be your worst enemy, and in this case, this saying applies to the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Look, we all love, admire, respect and look forward to Manny fighting, but his career may come to an end soon because he has no opponents. No wonder Manny ventures into so Manny different careers. He’s bored and no one wants to fight him. This is a man that was handed a loss at the hands of Angel Hereida & Juan Manuel “Ped Man” Marquez. Everyone thought he was finished. They wrote Manny Pacquiao off. They criticized him. They threw him off the top of the mountain. Well gentlemen, many of you spoke to soon because he came back in brilliant fashion and gracefully put on a brilliant boxing exhibition for millions to see when he beat Brandon Rios. He then dismantled and picked apart the man that destroyed Ped Man Marquez. Timothy Bradley acknowledged after the fight that Manny was the better man, and a true legend that avoids no one. The world found out that Manny was a brilliant boxer and a thunderous power puncher, and today fighters don’t know what to expect, so they don’t take a chance. There are those that continue to say Manny has lost a step and is past his prime. Gentlemen, never sell Manny Pacquiao short. His story will end up as the greatest boxing story in history. No one has and will ever accomplish what this great man has accomplished in sports. * division championships is like having one score 300 points in a basketball game. Not even the great Wilt Chamberlin could do that. Trust me when I say this. Manny Pacquiao stands above all the fighters in the history of this great sport. Manny is the best.

Posted July 15, 2014 12:15 pm

Why won’t Pacquiao fight Khan? Arum the greedy Jew wants Pacs opponents to fight for peanuts.

Posted July 15, 2014 12:12 pm

They’re just blowing hot air. Hoping someone would pay attention.

Posted July 15, 2014 12:02 pm

So how much more would have Algieri have needed to take the fight? Plus, just what other opportunity would Algieri have had to pass up to take the Pacquiao fight (that would have been worth at least the same but perhaps more than what the Pacquiao fight contract stipulated)?

PAC only has a handful of fights left
We want them to be important ones

Not against morons who are hot dog salesmen during the week

Arum will not allow Pacquaio to face anyone who may beat him.

Posted July 15, 2014 10:37 am
