Bradley represents 00000 risk for Mayweather he could not beat Floyd when he is 55 years old the guy is WIDE with his shots, he cannot punch and he does not dominate elite fighters.. Bradley is very good but he is BELOW Floyds level by plenty, he would be in horrible trouble with Canelo who Mayweather took to school and BACK… Floyd would have nothing to fear from Bradley EXCEPT his Bald dome that has cut a number of boxers from butts in the past… AGAIN you keep throwing all these names, why are you not saying “Manny should fight Lara, Canelo, Thurman or Porter” AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH because you would rather see him rematch 100 year old Marquez, Bradley who he already beat or Chris Algieri who is not really a World Class fighter despite beating the one dimensional Provo who is looking like One Hit wonder after out toughing Alvarado..Posted July 14, 2014 4:55 pm
Yeah Bears there is INDEED value to getting to a boxer first its part of the game… I know you think Wlad beating 41 year old versions of Ray Mercer is bigger deal than taking him when he was a young man but it MATTERS… AGAIN Mayweather has dominated his whole career thru 5 weight classes, and 4 lineals he has lost ONE card and NEVER been legit put on the canvas… Manny has been stopped 3x and most recently by an OLD Marquez… Manny is an ATG, but Floyd is the BEST fighter of this generation that’s why its 46 fights later and guys are like “When is he gonna lose” Bradley is a very good fighter, that said he would get easily used and abused by Mayweather he won a squeaker against Marquez, Kendall Holt had him down BAD, he got his bell seriously RUNG by a Caveman like Provodnikov he cannot knock anyone out even if their hands are down… Bradley’s wins but not in very dominant fashion at times unless you discuss the drubbing of Casamayor who was a DEAD man… The best win he (Bradley) has is an S/D against OLD Marquez meanwhile Floyd did everything except BANG Marquez wife and smack his kids around..We know that Manny can beat Bradley essentially because he is stronger physically…Posted July 14, 2014 4:48 pm
Monetero-Moving forward and engaging are LESSER factors than landing punches to the FACE. Hatton moved forward and engaged TOO but Mayweather SHREDDED him to SMITHEREENS. But according to those that pay attention to WHO is moving forward IF Hatton had made it to the final bell he would have WON. Baldomir should have WON against Mayweather TOO then. He moved forward and got hit with the most shots to the FACE.Posted July 14, 2014 4:26 pm

Lara won the fight IMHO as I have mentioned a few times, but others don’t want to see it that way. I have watched the fight over several times without bias and trying to even give Canelo as Many rounds as I could to give him the benefit of the doubt and it does not work. Please turn off the volume, score the fight by the following criteria: Clean Punching (Lara), Ring Generalship (Lara), Defense (Lara) Effective Agressiveness (Canelo was not effective) The punch numbers favored Lara. Canelo landed 24 head punches in 12 rounds?? I like Canelo as I have said and think he is going to be a great fighter one day, but he lost the fight. The Canelo crowd changes how they see punches when they are cheering at every punch Canelo throws even if he misses by a mile. Those Body punches were in just 2-3 rounds and many of them were caught on the arms and were not clean. I watched in slow motion. Lara, even though he didn’t throw a million punches, didn’t need to because they were so clean and crisp. The crowd was in awe throughout the fight. They were begging for Canelo to do anything, but Lara had them all tamed like a bunch of kittens. Lara’s defense, which includes moving, slipping, blocking and weaving is CRITERIA used to score each round. It was up to Canelo to find a strategy to stop Lara from doing those things like cut off the ring , and he didn’t. Lara had total control of the fight, and Canelo was desperate. Did you not see him miss by a mile. Lara moved right and Canelo was moving left. The man was confused and just plodded forward swinging for the fences. Lara was calm. cool and collected and he was a sharp shooter landing the jab, straight left to the head and body. Lara controlled the style and pace of the fight. Clean punches from Lara, Beautiful Ring generalship from Lara, Fantastic Defense from Lara and Canelo’s inability to use his Aggressiveness effectively all point to the obvious. Lara is the winner of this fight. Unfortunately, as real boxing fans know. The Cash Cow that has the big promoter(GBP/Oscar) in his pocket will rarely if ever lose a fight when he has a country (Mexico) behind him, and his fans come to pay their money to see him. They are doing a fabulous job of promoting Canelo. He’s slowly making the crossover to the USA fans. They market him on being the Red Headed, light skinned Mexican that is the greatest young fighter in history. Promoters will go at any lengths to make a connection between the young lion and the fans, which I guess is a smart move on there part, but in a fight, his opponents must not just beat him, but practically knock him out. This fight was a mere image of Pernell Whitaker vs Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Whitaker dominated him in every way, but still lost because he was the boxer and used movement and defense instead of just slug it out. History always repeats itself. The sport will continue to be corrupt as long as fans let them do what they want.Posted July 14, 2014 3:14 pm

bradley is hardly irrelevant. stykes make fights they are actually lining up bradley vs cotto to say bradley is irrelevant is air headed. bradley like many is risk for fraud. way more risky than maidana kahn or even a cotto rematch. lara and pac are more risky too and these are all the fights that should be happening actually should have already happened. whats the best way to dodge pac and bradley? make up thAt u wont deal with a certain promoter for no reason and all the sudden.
frauds a fraud. and the cherry allready beat him. better continue the script of careful matchmaking and ducking cause guys like lara pacman and bradley can derail frauds circus act QUICK. fraud better stick to maidana rematch with a ref that wont let maidana fight. a mere con. then a cotto or guerrero rematch
i honestly dont care anymore fraud has more excuses thAn decent fightsPosted July 14, 2014 12:08 pm
Hello everyone, just wanted to add my two cents… Yes Lara landed more total punches (107) than Canelo (97), but you can’t always look at total punches to determine who won a fight. Lara landed 55 jabs to Canelo’s 9, definitely won the battle of the jab. However in regards to power punching, the Mexican landed 88 punches (73 to the body) compared to 52 for Lara. The consistently harder punches were thrown and landed by Canelo, bottom line. He was the fighter engaging, moving forward, about 90% of the time. Generally speaking, those are the attributes that sway judges in a close round. Most of the press ringside had it 115-113 to 116-112 for Canelo, with a sizable minority scoring it a draw. Very few in the media had Lara winning.Posted July 14, 2014 11:50 am
How do Pacs results trump FMJ’s, Mayweather beat all common opponents Manny did NOT (Marquez)? Bears YOU said that “Oscar did not belong in the ring with Floyd” even though ODH was Champ and was fighting at 154 where he had for YEARS… Pac Man beat him AFTER Floyd so what are you feelings on that? Mayweather SMASHED Hatton BEFORE Pacquiao and took his “0” Pac Man got to Cotto first Mayweather faced him 10 pounds heavier when he was Champ at 154 and UDed him only to see him go on to become MW Champ…Mayweather sure the hell looked better taking 11 rounds off Marquez than getting KOed and put on his face… Bradleys old news, Manny beat him years ago and you were NOT saying that when Provodnikov had him slurring for a few months… LMAO one guy is 46-0 Unified Champ in 2 weight classes, the other has the WBO belt and is a couple fights removed from getting damn near killed and looking to face a fighter like Algieri who would be utterly unsuitable for Mayweather…Posted July 14, 2014 11:49 am

one of the main differences is that pacman had much better results against most of the opponents, the best of those opponents, AND the most recent.
why would fraud mayweather make a decent matchup when he never has? why would he fight lara the champ at 154 or bradley and pacman the best welters when he can fight cherrys like maidana then kahn then rematch cotto? dudes garbagePosted July 14, 2014 11:11 am
Pacquiao’s and Mayweather have several common opponents only difference is that Floyd never dropped bouts.. Morales beat Manny, and he would have lasted 4 rounds with Mayweather, Mannys most difficult opponent was one of Floyds easiest.. Again Manny is getting EXTRA cred for beating Brandon Rios at this point, and second fight with Bradley when most thought he won the first… Mayweather is OLDER and he is facing BIGGER and more dangerous fighters than Pacquiao… Seriously Pac Man is looking to box Chris Algieri SMH….Posted July 14, 2014 10:21 am

Psstt……worse was the self anointed p4p champion fighting Guerrero, Ortiz. Those for certain were NOT epic battles. Worse, for a so called p4p chump, Floyd has never had a legacy building fight with anyone who was both in their prime AND elite, never!! So, compared to Pac, Pac is looking pretty considering he’s fought a significant amount of boxers who were elite and in their prime. Can’t say this about Floyd without stretching the truth.Posted July 14, 2014 9:59 am
Hecdog, Brandon Rios is NOT in Mannys class and even at this stage he is WAYYYYY to slow for Pacquiao so this was NOT some sort of epic challenge… Again you are really LOWERING the Bar for Pacquiao and you are not alone in this, Rios engine light looks like it has gone into the “Red” he was better than a tuneup but nonetheless a rehab bout..Posted July 14, 2014 9:40 am

I had it 117 – 111. Lara did not fight and when he did he threw baby punches, hell, a woman can hit much harder that Lara “The Coward”. One left by Alvarez did more damage than all of Lara’s punches put together…………Lara was running like a hell…………………he was afraid to fight…………….you have to land punches to win a fight………………….you could hear Alvarez’ body punches, but you could not hear Lara’s baby punches………..Lomachenko moved, but he also fought, he used lateral movement, the only thing Lara did was run, track & field. Lara deserved to lose, the only one fighting was Alvarez. I dare anyone to criticize Vladimir Klitschko for using his jab and knocking people out……………….Posted July 14, 2014 1:35 am
Gentlemen, lets not sell Manny short just yet. Since the Ped Man fight he has been outstanding. Manny is allowed to win decisions even though we are accustomed to seeing him destroy his opponents. He showed us his ability to box and move against Rios, and he did a little of everything against a young, strong unbeaten Timothy Bradley. Manny believe it or not has yet to reach his peak. You have to realize and digest that Mann is not your normal boxer. He has reserve tanks of natural fighting ability. I believe he will next be fighting Algeri whom beat one of the toughest and most feared punchers in boxing. You will see Manny once again dominate and knockout this newly crowned champion. Gentlemen, Manny will be most impressive in his next fight. Trust me on this gentlemen. Manny will continue to awe you with his performances. Manny is the best!Posted July 14, 2014 1:33 am

After rewatching this fight a few times, I had Lara winning 8 out of the first 9 rounds without question. Please watch the fight without commentary and use the following criteria to score each round: Clean punching, Effective Aggressiveness, Ring Generalship and defense. If you watch it as a true boxing fan and not wanting either guy to win, you will clearly see that Erislandy Lara dominated this fight in all areas. Those body shots from Canelo were either blocked, or glancing punches, few landed cleanly in the scoring area. Yes Canelo had 1-2 rounds where they landed clean, but the other 10 rounds, Canelo was lost. See it for yourself.Posted July 13, 2014 11:44 pm
ANONYMOUS my friend, the legendary Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao would not only beat Canelo Alvarez, he would stop him. Manny is an entirely different fighter than Lara. Manny would land that left hand on Canelo’s chin and it would be over. The whole universe can see how Canelo’s telegraphed punches coming for miles. Manny destroyed a bigger supposedly stronger Margarito, Clottey, De La Hoya and every other top fighter he ever fought. Manny Pacquiao has debilitating power and would be laid out face first like Ricky Hatton was. As far as PEDMAN MARQUEZ is concerned, we all know his buddy Angel Hereida, and we all saw the acne on him in his last fight since there was no testing surprisingly. And of course, Ped Man wants nothing to do with fighting Manny Pacquiao ever again. Now, Canelo looked like a lost kid on the side of a highway trying to guess when he should run across. He was a mess. Lara schooled him badly, and Lara has nowhere near the speed, power, athleticism or movement of Manny Pacquiao. Canelo may be bigger, but he’s as slow as molasses when fighting an athletic, speedy all around fighter like Manny Pacquiao. Manny is the only 8 division boxing champion in the history of boxing. He takes on the best regardless of the weight classes. Can you imagine Canelo telegraphing all of his wide, predictable punches against Manny. He would be hit 8 times before he threw 1 punch. Manny is the greatest pure fighter of all time. Canelo will progress in his style, but he can’t change. He only has one way of fighting because he’s not athletic and has horrible feet. Manny would run circles around him. I would love for someone to make that fight. Trust me on this, Canelo Alvarez needs to stay in his own league. His career would end miserably if he dares to take on Manny Pacquiao. Manny is the best!Posted July 13, 2014 11:39 pm
The fight was very close, but canelo deserved it. lara style was an absolute disgrace, he just didn’t want to fight. canelo won because he tried making it a fight, disgusting, weak pathetic effort by lara. in one round (I think the 9th?) he ran circles for the first 2 full minutes of the round and didn’t throw one single punch. that was not boxing, that was utter garbage. p.s. excellent decision by juanma’s corner to retire him from the fight. the boy was cookedPosted July 13, 2014 10:38 pm

Gentlemen, the legendary Manny Pacquiao would have wiped the floor with Canelo and Lara, let’s get that straight first. Now, last night’s fight was another home cooking awful decision if you know anything about boxing. Canelo looked like a caveman swinging his club around and hitting nothing. He was off balance, had no idea how to cut off the ring. Lara was going left and Canelo was going right. This was a masterful boxing exhibition that Lara put on. His ring generalship and clean effective punches were on point. Canelo’s desperate wild flurries did nothing. He landed a few body punches, but not nearly enough to win the round. I’ve watched the replay, and once again had Lara winning 8 rounds to 4. I picked Canelo to win, but he was schooled last night and should have admitted that at the post fight press conference. If you’re a true boxing fan and score the fight without any bias, Lara wins easily. I like Canelo, he has a lot of talent and is going to be a great one, but he was schooled last night. I actually felt sorry for him as he was getting frustrated, bruised, and he literally almost broke his ankle trying to find Lara. It’s all the same in boxing. The big promoter (Oscar) and GBP, Las Vegas and those same good o’l Boy judges played just right. The 111-117 score card must have been filled out a month ago. That judge should be thrown out of the country and made to count marbles forever. Lara did an excellent job and was in control of the entire fight. His punches were clear and crisp. His defense was outstanding. He handled himself like a true intelligent. He had no chance with the home town kid. Had that fight been anywhere else but Las Vegas, guess what? Lara wins by a land slide. The numbers even favor Lara. Boxing should be embarrassed for last night’s awful decision.Posted July 13, 2014 6:03 pm

da butthurt puerto rican- hey man. canelo won. put your boy cotto up next and lets hear your next series of excuses.
the fight game is about fighting first and foremost. not running. for most of boxings life there was not even round limits. in no way shape or form did boxing ever become about running and fighting as little as possible and running the clock out to a lack luster in action decision.
boxing is a fight. and has been the fight game for centuries. mma has only recently arrived.
I was happy to see the style/aesthetic i prefer get the nod. I think canelo’s style is what the fight game is about.
on a side note, 3g is the best at 160 and kovalev is the best light heavy. give a sh!t what ring’s rankings are or anyones for that matter.
i do think lara would defeat fraud mayweather at his own game. I hope this is the beginning of the end for the “runner style” in boxing. I would not call trout a runner. fraud and lara most definitely. it will be interesting to see who is generating the money when fraud is gone and if masses get behind another “runner” style. My guess is it will not happen.
I wish ward would grow a pair and fight kovalev at light heavy. ward is so irrelevant now it is unreal. how ward has not been demoted on rings p4p rankings for inactivity is garbage.Posted July 13, 2014 4:02 pm

If this were amature boxing I would give it to Lara, however, in the pro game its all about doing damage. Lara didnt even try to inflict any damage, he was more focused on keeping Alverez off of him. Defence may win championships in football, but in boxing you get points for offence. Ask yourself which is worth more, 100 defensive jabs or 75 offensive power punches. Alverez won on landing the more effective punches.Posted July 13, 2014 10:39 am

Lara was running, not moving. It’s called running when a fighter is doing a bunch of unnecessary movement regardless if punches are being thrown or not. It’s called moving when you are getting out of the range of punches thrown or pivoting to reset after landing punches. Most counter punchers do a lot of moving. Lara is not a counter puncher. Looked like more of a skater last night. Nobody deserved a win for fighting like that. Good luck getting another PPV event Lara.Posted July 13, 2014 9:54 am
Canelo WON by TWO blind MICE decision just as I predicted! !!!!!!!!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born! !!!!!!Posted July 13, 2014 9:37 am
Fight was 8-4 rds Lara easy win. I mean if Canelo is all y’all got, y’all are in trouble, u better rally behind him then. He is a bummn.Posted July 13, 2014 8:54 am
How the hell could Lara not throw enough punches to win when The punch out put was nearly identical. If anyone had Canelo wining this fight, is blind or racists or both. Froch moves and box, y’all call it brilliant. Let a blk man do it, it’s running. We and even Canelo knows who really won. Canelo is still a bum.Posted July 13, 2014 8:52 am
ALVAREZ vs LARA IMHO was a far more interesting and better fight than CRAWFORD vs GAMBOA the other week. I though Terrence had that fight in the bag after 4 rounds and Guantanamo was wilder than Deontay with some of his work!
Lara was on top after 4 and I was shocked at how poor Canelo was at cutting the ring off after him… in fact, he didn’t even try and cut the ring off content to amble after him and catch shots as he did so…
It’s clear to me that Canelo does have a stamina problem as there were times I was shouting at the screen to let his hands go, but he wouldn’t or couldn’t.
Not once in the first 10 rounds did he even attempt to fire his 5-6 punch combos, even though there were times he’d landed and more follow ups were in order… Only in the last did he land a 6 punch salvo to the body in the early stages of the last round.
Lara looked real good after 4 and confident, but he made an error in my mind of backing up, instead of sliding from side to side. His punches were accurate, but he seemed to lose his focus after getting cut for 3 or 4 rounds and never, really cemented himself on the fight though the championship rounds although he landed some real stingers in the last.
I would like to see a return as this was close… 115-113 was a good score…. 117-111 was totally ridiculous.
Lara deserves a couple big fights, but must adopt the side-to-side movement, rather than backtrack and he needs to employ the jab more often. Any thoughts of GGG must now be shelved, forever. He doesn’t have the firepower to hold him off for more than 6 rounds…
Canelo can either go for the rematch or entertain Andrade… But, he needs to find the weight where he is most effective, learn to slip more and employ that jab… Can’t argue with his body punches though!!!Posted July 13, 2014 7:40 am
The oracle of Delphi
Lara is better than Fraud, therefore Canelo either threw the fight intentionally against him, or he was too weight drained squeezing down three more pounds to be 152. Either way, Canelo is nothing special, he is good, but his record is buffed up. The Cotto who beat Martinez beats Canelo and may even beat Fraud…Posted July 13, 2014 7:33 am
i agree with the 117-111- i gave all close rounds to Alvarez because could not give the round to lara just because he threw 2 punches – alvares at least was trying – lara could have won if he tried but he really did not throw enough punches to deserve to winPosted July 13, 2014 7:19 am

Has Canelo become one of those fighters who only has to be standing at the end of a fight to get a decision? I had it a draw. Canelo barely found Lara and Lara gave away rounds by not punching enough. Why is it one judge always has it 117 to 111? Canelo will always have problems with fighters who move, still hasn’t learned to cit off the ring.Posted July 13, 2014 6:37 am

i had it 115-113 canelo. Lara was just horrible to watch, very rarely willing to engage, limited offensive arsenal. im glad cinnamon did enough to win, because losing to such a horrible style would be hard to take. Lara will be kicking himself, if he only opened up a few more times each round, he would have cruised to a points decision. horror show by lara, wont ever go out of my way to watch him fight againPosted July 13, 2014 6:15 am
The scores are going to be debated, the winner will be debated. Canelo Alvarez took a split decision win over Erislandy Lara tonight on Showtime PPV.
Canelo Alvarez got the duke tonight over Erislandy Lara, but there’s some controversy, as is often the case, though at least this time, it appeared there was a solid argument for either man to win. Official scores were 115-113 and 117-111 for Canelo, and 115-113 for Lara. BLH had it 115-113 for Lara, while Showtime’s Steve Farhood had 115-113 for Lara, as well.
The fight saw several rounds that could have been called swing rounds, as I personally had at least five rounds of the 12 that I felt could have gone either way. I shaded toward Lara, who landed some crisp shots, but absolutely did “run” for much of the fight, while Canelo landed a lot of solid body shots along the way.
Neither Canelo (43-1-1, 31 KO) nor Lara (19-2-2, 12 KO) were particularly effective on offense, as Canelo swung and missed badly several times, while Lara sort of laid back more than you’d like to see. It’s arguable that the fight was “stolen” from Lara. It’s also arguable that Lara gave the fight away by not being more proactive.
Both fighters said they believed they’d won the fight when asked the hard-hitting question, “Do you think you won the fight?” by Showtime’s investigative journalist Jim Gray. Lara said he felt he controlled the fight and made Canelo look bad. Before that, Canelo said he’d give Lara a rematch “when he learns to fight,” saying that fights in the pro game in America are not won with running, and that he didn’t let his hands go enough. Canelo did say, though, that he respected Lara. Lara added that Canelo’s body shots had “no force,” though they did connect.
This is certainly going to be debated in the coming days, so how did you score it?Posted July 13, 2014 4:46 am
nope you AGAIN predicted WRONG! YOU predicted CANELo by CUBAN CRUSHING TKO. Anybody knows one of your impostors predicted two blind mice decision yet you’re pathetic enough to to attach to that the claim that you actually pick that LOL. Hit and not get hit is what boxing is about. Only an idiot would expect a fighter to not use his footwork just because his opponent is a flat footed BUM who lacks he basic fundamental of cutting off the ring. Learn to cut off the ring or stfu you BUM. I hope Lara knocks Canelo out in the rematch or gets the tko. And one more thing, For Lara to have “ran” so much, Canelo’s eyes sure looked bad hahahahahaPosted July 13, 2014 3:58 am

Canelo is a BUM who’s being forced fed to casuals and mexicans as a great champion. Canelo complains about “running” (aka boxing) but he should know how to cut the ring off. That’s is a basic fundamental. Joe Frazier and Chavez Sr. didnt complain. They cut off the ring so, Canelo, cut the ring off you bum!!!!!! does a runner really deserve the nod? are we fighting like boxing intended or running the clock out exploiting time limits? boxing has existed a long time and most that time it had no limits.
this is either about a fight or boxing is not about what it was about when it started. meaning modern boxing is not original boxing its not about the fight its about limiting action, running, and exploiting the clock.
hell no! boxing is about fighting this is the fight gAme not the run game. when mayweathers gone the run game is DEAD son! as it ahould be!

A speed demon like Lara wil never learn how to impress Judges and EXPERTS like Floyd does. Thats why Floyd defeated Canelo while Lara LOST.Posted July 13, 2014 3:28 am
Hey guys here are the punch numbers: Lara landed 55 jabs to Canelo’s 9, but Canelo landed 88 power shots to Lara’s 52 (73 of which were body blows). Overall Lara was more accurate (28% connect for total punches to 23% for Canelo), but again I must state that the Mexican’s punches were MUCH harder. I was in the fifth row and I could hear the body punches land. When Lara connected, it was pretty, but didn’t carry the same pop.Posted July 13, 2014 3:28 am

CANELO GOT THE NOD!!!!Posted July 13, 2014 3:14 am
I picked Canelo, but honestly, I thought Lara won. Yes he was moving, but he was landing clean shots even though they weren’t a lot of them. It really depends on what the judges like. And as I have said all along, the up and coming cash cow that has a big fans base and is young and coming into his prime will never lose one of those big fights. Although Canelo doesn’t live in Vegas, it’s his second home, and his fan base follows him anywhere. Oscar and GBP have a lot of pull. I wish these fights were at other venues. Canelo’s body shots were great, but at times Lara had him missing by miles. His ring generalship was outstanding. Lara was fantastic and deserves a rematch or a Mayweather fight. I’ll take the credit for picking the right guy that got the win, but IMO, he lost.Posted July 13, 2014 2:55 am

Well the people called it and were right again. Canelo got a hometown GBP scorecard 117-111 is a disgrace. All that was learnt is tonight is Cotto would blitz and KO Canelo.Posted July 13, 2014 2:32 am
I personally gave the edge to Lara, 7 rounds to 5. Lara landed the cleaner, crisper punches throughout the fight, but could have sealed it had he sat down and been busier. Canelo deserves credit for his commitment to the body, but he was relegated to the body because he could not land anything up top. It was ineffective and never slowed Lara down. Lara fought his fight; he used the ring, he made Canelo miss numerous times, he (at times) used his jab to perfection, and he landed some beautiful counter left hands. I can see the justification for a draw, as neither fighter dominated or took complete control of the fight, but 117-111 for Canelo is a complete joke. Lara deserved the slight nod.Posted July 13, 2014 2:29 am

If U thought Canelo won U do not know anything about boxing. U do not throw Idiot wild shots making U very very tired and what about all the low blows that Canelo through which most were blocked. Boxings punch stat is a joke. Lara outlanded him easy 4 to 1, had the harder shots. Look at this fight a second time and you will see that most of Canelo’s body shots were blocked. Canelo is very basic boxer, he needs to learn how to throw the double jab then a straight right to the head or body, and maybe after that a left hook, but like I said just a basic boxer who got his butt handed to him tonight.
Canelo & Marquez does Mexico well by being such GREAT CHAMPS!!!!Posted July 13, 2014 2:07 am

Adios lara you running bum, no more big fights for you when the only person I recall matching you for that level of negativity was paul vaden v terry norris, im glad alvarez showed him zero respect in the post fight interview and just kept referring to lara as a runner, lara makes floyd mayweather look like mike tyson on angel dust, I never wanna see lara againPosted July 13, 2014 1:59 am
BOXING! Canelo sounded like he actually believed what he was saying during his post fight interview…boxers move around the ring and throw effective and accurate punches as you walk into them and then move again…Canelo, learn how to cut off the ring! Now we can understand that a record doesn’t always reflect the true skills of a champion. He’s limited in the worse way, no lateral movement with agility. And he doesn’t even put his titles on the line, how uncertain is that?Posted July 13, 2014 1:56 am
There were a lot of close rounds. I felt Lara won I can kind of see 115-113 either way but that 117-111 was ridiculous.Posted July 13, 2014 1:55 am
Close fight very close but I think Canelo got there, he constantly pressed the action for 12 rounds and seemed to land the harder shots. Canelo was better on the inside, Lara better on the outside. Lara is a very gifted athlete. He at times made Canelo look very slow and flat footed. Lara’s movement is brilliant. He did not however have the power to hurt canelo and keep him off him. If Lara landed more shots he could have won but he didn’t. He constantly backed away and it cost him the fight. Very close, good skills from both men.Posted July 13, 2014 1:51 am

Canelo really really needs a new trainning staff…. He is lacking stamina and quickness. If he knows the guy is gonna be a runner you must destroy the body from round 1.Posted July 13, 2014 1:49 am
You’re allowed to use the square footage of the ring, as long as you throw and land more punches. It’s called boxing. Running is what Amir Khan did in the Danny Garcia fight, when he turned ass and sprinted away.Posted July 13, 2014 1:46 am

I agree with the score of 117 – 111 for Alvarez. All Lara did was run around the ring, did not throw many punches at all. Alvarez landed a nice uppercut that cut Lara, he hurt Lara with body shots. Alvarez came to fight and he did. Lara ran like hell as he did not bother to fight. I guess Lara thought this was track & field…………
Note: I did not post too fast, this was my first post tonight, so that message does not make any sense. This problem should be fixed ASAP………….Posted July 13, 2014 1:26 am
