i agree with gonzo i think that the reason hassan fought so agressive if you look at his other fights he usually box more control manner plus those knockdowns to proably made him fight to agressive but credit to peter quillin tho for winning his first belt

There are 3 World Middleweight Champions who can box and punch. Sergio Martinez, Grennady Golovkin, and Peter Quillin… These guys present the most interesting middleweight matchups since James Toney fought Michael Nunn, Mike McCallum, and Reggie Johnson.

Actually, come to think of it, the reason N’Dam probably fought so recklessly was because he was the away fighter and knew that he probably wouldn’t have got the decision if it was a close fight and he felt he needed to match Quillin shot for shot to stand a chance of winning. And that right there is just another of the numerous reasons why home advantage can be and often is so crucial in deciding the outcome of a fight.

Quillin’s a nice guy but I don’t really rate him much. He’s good good power and decent skills but he doesn’t overly impress me. N’Dam could’ve won that fight if he had any brain cells in that thick skull of his.. It was bad enough he was getting caught by those telegraphed left hooks of Quillin, but to then stand and trade with him with zero regard for defence after getting badly hurt by them was complete lunacy on his part. It’s not like he has an outstanding chin or anything either. He has very little snap on his punches too and he wasn’t really hurting Quillin with any of his punches. He does have a big heart though, albeit at the expense of his lack of brains.

All said & done the WBO is only #4 in the pecking order after the WBC/WBA & IBF & Quillin should be treated accordinglly. Martenez & Geale rule the roost @ 160Lb & must again be treated accordinglly. There’s far too many alphabet title’s in this day & age & it needs to stop! Golovkin, Sturm, Barker, Murray, Soloman, JCC Jr & Macklin would all clean this feller out.

Yup…I can’t stand it when referees feel they have to intervene when it’s not necessary.

Refs should be fined whenever they try to influence the action…that’s not their job!!

What I want to know is why was fat referee Eddie Claudio motioning the two guys to pick up the action lte in the fight? Assholiness behavior at its very worse!

chavez jr and peter quillin would be a good fight it be interesting to see if peter can hurt chavez jr with his power shots peter got a good left hook and right hand chavez got a good chin he going to be right in front of quillin it be interesting to see if quillin can deal with chavez size and pressure and those body shots
