To all the maynutthugger:
What is greater a punch that is partially blocked or no punch at all????
Maidana clearly won.
And lara is getting knocked out!!!Posted May 30, 2014 8:41 pm
@Te Tumbo…Maidana did take the fight to Floyd. But he gets NO credit for head butting, rabbit punching behind head. Hitting below the belt 3-4 times. Even tried to knee Floyd, corner man telling him to fight dirty. Landed 28pct of his punches to Floyds 54pct. Get outta here with that crap…Take your “Big L” like the other 45 losers. Have a nice day.Posted May 30, 2014 4:41 am

FA, i hear you. i’m fortunate that i’ve got two fight buddies in the area who quite honestly just like to host gatherings at their pad. the PPV price is repaid in pisto, sides, and our priceless company. they would host the same gatherings without the boxing but the PPV boxing gives them a definite edge with confirming our RSVPs. it’s understood. boxing is a recreational priority for me. the appeal of Canelo v. Lara is that it’s pivotal. Canelo’s early promotional appeal followed by his loss v. Mayweather has made this a must-win bout for him. Lara’s in virtually the same boat. the key to understanding this matchup? Lara’s getting what he asked for and Canelo figures to deliver like it’s personal.Posted May 29, 2014 11:05 pm
te tumbo, I’d like to see Canelo-Lara but these PPV cards add up and I’m having trouble getting my fight buddies to shell out repeatedly. Too many PPVs so we’re only doing ones when one of our faves are on. Since this is GBP they should’ve but Matthysse on. That would’ve changed it from maybe to definitely. Still on shelf here because the main event is a good one.Posted May 29, 2014 6:14 pm
“Oops! two-faced is me”(?!?). et tu HIDALGo? a shame to discover that even responsible posters resort to multi-posted trolling.Posted May 29, 2014 4:32 pm
“Maidana looked like an amateur with his wide punches and picking up his leg” and scoring with regularity and virtual impunity. ThaT was the spectacle. Floyd was and is #1 P4P. i didn’t expect Maidana to win more than two to three rounds early before Floyd took control, but when Floyd lost the fourth straight round and Maidana continued to pressure, score, and ultimately prevail in the fifth, i became incredulous at what i was watching. only boxing neophytes failed to notice or appreciate the expert manner with which Maidana was imposing his “amateurish” fighting style. there was also nothing amateurish about his jab, which he regularly used to split Floyd’s guard and disrupt his offense. it really wasn’t until the 6th that i finally began to notice Floyd begin to pry control of the bout from Maidana without ever actually gaining full control himself. a Draw would’ve been a courteous nod to Mayweather’s active and masterful greatness. otherwise, NObody has been able to identify the seven rounds that were convincingly won by Mayweather. a rematch is warranted if not mandatory. i’m not convinced that Mayweather can convincingly defeat Maidana.Posted May 29, 2014 4:30 pm
“. . . might pass on this one . . .” FIGHT AFICIONADO, that was a mistake for the Mayweather v. Maidana bout, which was worth it to witness Mayweather finally being outfought faster than he could adapt for an unofficial loss and IF the scorecards had been scored correctly, we would’ve witnessed one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Hell(?!), Maidana’s domination of the first six rounds alone was worth the PPV price. it felt like a direct hit of opium watching that spectacle unfold live. if you Love Boxing, these are the moments you Live for. if you like Lara or Canelo, this is the pivotal matchup of their careers. a reboot for Canelo and a huge step Up for Lara. Canelo by TKO. Lara can’t make him respect his space and Canelo is on a mission to return to elite status.Posted May 29, 2014 2:27 pm

Taking Canelo by late stoppage or decision.Posted May 28, 2014 11:03 pm
Not a bad undercard here. I was hoping for Lucas Matthysse though. I only buy PPVs with banging main events plus one of my faves so might pass on this one, though I do like Lara.Posted May 28, 2014 8:05 pm
Erislandy Lara should take this one.. Due to logic.Posted May 28, 2014 8:03 pm
I like Canelo and I remember the Lara fight in which he was dropped twice I can’t see Canelo losing this one and in each fight he seems to get better …he,s too powerful for Lara. Boxingdictionary.com. “The Language of the Ring”Posted May 28, 2014 6:47 pm
Oscar Bonavena knocked Joe Frazier down twice. So he beats Jimmy Ellis???
Marquez knocked Pacquiao down twice. So he beats Tim Bradley???
You cannot go by previous knockdowns. Each fight matches up differently.Posted May 28, 2014 6:41 pm
If angulo floored lara twice n almost k.oed him canelo will stop him late k.o. rd 8-9. Lara is extremely overreated! Angulo ran out of gas he he woulda k.o lara. Canelo killed angulo. Lara better be on his bike for 12rds!Posted May 28, 2014 4:46 pm
im mexican and i do hope lara puts a beating on the red headed……..i like lara cuz he is a humble guy who has defeated anybody on his path to the top. …..to bad floyd is scared to fight him….im sure lara would wn that onePosted May 28, 2014 3:32 pm

Yes Jim agree
Let’s not get mixed up here
That card ain’t all that special… but this is a good fight.. probably the best matchup made all year in boxing….Posted May 28, 2014 9:01 am
hahahaha Canelo stands no chance, this will be a wide points win for Lara.
Canelo is slow with decent power.
Lara is fast and much more skillful with decent power.
This is not rocket science. Lara will win easily.Posted May 28, 2014 8:13 am
Tickets already in hand, Canelo vs Lara, Mares vs Oquendo not a bad card. Should be some KO’S, possible in all fights, I was hoping Shawn Porter would be on this card, maybe they’ll add him.Posted May 28, 2014 2:59 am
