Mr. Writer….what YOU say is simply not true. You can’t say Pac is not Floyd’s equal if they haven’t yet fought. To refresh your memory…..the odds of Maidana beating Floyd were 15-1…nobody gave Maidana a chance in hell, nobody. Yet, here comes Maidana and puts a beat down on Floyd like no other fighter has in in 17 plus year career. Pac, a more formidable foe than Maidana would not allow Floyd to breathe and would not be as stationary as El Chino. Would he win? Oh, only one way to find out but the same applies to Floyd. Would he win? Not until they get in the ring. Nobody gave Maidana a chance and doubters and the Flomos discount Pac doing better than him. Oh really! Floyd just got his ass beat, only thing is, his record doesn’t reflect the facts. Until he fights Pac, no one and nobody can say Floyd would win. If he couldn’t do anything against Maidana, how are we to beleive he would fare better against Pac. Wishful thinking.Posted May 8, 2014 12:00 pm

Standing alone @ Tier One must be lonely at times, but your valor is much respected by us common aspiring folk. To be so generous with your gifting of points is honorable, yet at the same time viciously revoking them as needed is just pure beauty in its simplest form. Being Gonzo is a responsibility bestowed on you, and you handle it like Maidana handled Broner…

Brother Gonzo. With that uniquely creative imagination and those wordsmithing skills you could write dark, macabre, action-adventure/horror-thrillers for a living. You could be the next Edgar Allen Poe and not even realize it.
You have made a mistake now boy.
You don`t have to worry about who Gonzo is, you need to worry about what he is. He is a force of n@ture. He has f-c-u-k-d a hurric@ne. When he was born, even his d@ddy called him d@ddy.
Imagine if you will a Tsun@mi, but rather than being made of water, it is comprised of pure Ande@n Cond0r mixed with l@shings of Clint E@stwood circa 1964, Fistful of Doll@rs er@.
Now imagine that Tsun@mi g@thering it`s force up on Tier one, which I can tell you extends upwards of 22,000 feet, and is a place where ordin@ry humans would require Oxygen m@sks, so as I say imagine it g@thering it`s force, growing and growing, lightening flicker!ng, the smell of ozone in the air and word-pairings, and syll@bals clash together.
You have a moments silence where you have the ins@ne hope that nothing will happen.
But then, suddenly there it is.
A million cubic tons of Vulture E@stwood Dragonborn fury pouring from the sky, slicing it`s way towards your very soul.
At the tip of this Tsnum@i you`ll see a sneer!ng pair of lips form, which as they grow closer draw back to reveal a set of kn@shers intent on dam@ge.
Realising your error you back away, head twisting, seek!ng an esc@pe.
You tr!p and fall onto your back and cover your eyes.
But this can do nothing to stop the be@st you have unleashed from settling it`s jaws upon your most pr!zed possess!ons and r!pping them out root and stem with a crunching twist.
That my friend is Gonzo.
If you feel this is an ex@ggeration then b@re this in mind. Do you know Keyzer Soze? Of course you do, everyone has heard of him. What most people do not know however is that Keyzer once borrowed Gonzo’s Ferr@ri 250 GT, and returned it without filling the t@nk.

I couldn’t care less what they do outside the ring. Inside both are boring, but the major difference between them is, that Floyd doesn’t use forbidden tactics as a defense, whereas Wladimir holds and ties and clinches a lot. Also, Floyd has never hit the deck. Then again, he couldn’t knock a one legged dwarf out.Posted May 7, 2014 1:42 pm
Tark is full of Tard and cattle droppings. Pulev heavy-handed – really? A puncher no doubt. He is technical but not heavy handed at all.
i think this is rubbish, i truly believe mayweather respects other fighters and likes to see them get there fair share. the klitsckos on the other hand are notorious for paying fighters peanuts. bernd bönte is horrible peice of work maybe one of the worst in boxing. the one and only reason they have been able to get away with awlful reigns and make money is because the germans ( and lets face it no-one else would) actually cough up good money for itPosted May 7, 2014 1:39 pm
Mr. Writer in American Football,Basketball Playoff baseball and Mayweather Boxing rule period in THE USA. Klits fought on ESPN bad bad bad showing and rating. Dude been KO so stop. The HW division has issues. Fight Wilder build so juice but his numbers and Mayweather number are not and will never be the same. Corny about ducking. Get a banker and watch Mayweather fight and ask the banker which fighter would he back. This ducking thing is sad because what Mayweather makes is 8 times more than Hw champion. fight somebody and dont push their head down the hold fight.Posted May 7, 2014 1:01 pm
dontblink, your argument that you like Floyd’s ugly arrogance because you don’t like false modesty is weak. That’s like saying “Because there are some hypocrites in the world I like evil people who rape and murder others.” There is such a thing as genuine humility and who are you to appraise who does or does not possess it? What makes Floyd’s arrogance all the more repellant is the fact that he has avoided most all the best fighters when they were at their best!! Floyd is a fraud because his arrogance is based on emptiness, because he has ducked many of the best of his peers and therefore not even proven to be the best in his division, to say nothing of his era.Posted May 7, 2014 12:46 pm
I admire Mayweather’s
I see your point on many points. Financial, got it. Its not his fault the division is lackluster. However….For what it matters, when I go to boxrec and view their ratings of the HW division, Dr Steelhammer has fought only 3 of the top 20. There are few that have dropped off in this top 20 due to inactivity or losses to VK, but there are many up there in rank that he has not fought. He could have fought some more competitive fighters instead of Leapai, Mormeck and others. Just sayin.Posted May 7, 2014 11:23 am

Wladimir Klitschko and his K2 Promotions have established a better market value in boxing world + that Klitschko unlike Floyd Mayweather Jr is a role model and a real educated gentleman in and outside the ring.
Wladimir Klitschko have represented the sport of boxing like an fine ambasador for a long time and created a lot of interest in Europe and Asia for younger men to become boxers and heavyweight champions and he is a national hero and symbol for his home country Ukraine!
Non of that have Floyd Mayweather Jr ever reached and that man is SO FAR AWAY from being a role model for people and youngster. A small fry gangsta wannabe whos onlyu purpose for fighting is becoming stinking rich and screw all.
Wladimir Klitschko and his brother Vitali have also so many times worked hard with charity events and projects to help raise money for the people in need and we talk about many millions of $dollars they have helped being made for that cause.
Wladimir Klitschko never trash-talk his opponents or promotors and let his fists do that in the ring and also he never ducks top opponents. He is the unifed champ and takes all good challanges.
Floyd Mayweather Jr trash-talks a lot all fighters and promotors and is so well known for his cherry picking of opponents. He demanmds so high stack of money for his fights that what he does is hindering the sport of boxing to make good fights.
TARK owns the truth. Everything this dude is saying makes sense. Great deal of historic knowledge as well. The majority of the comments here by other people here are worthless.Posted May 7, 2014 8:24 am
Klischko, Hopkins and Mayweather are all boring and ring clinchersPosted May 7, 2014 8:02 am
My two cents worth…humbly offered.
Don’t like floyd much: often boring fights and he is too immodest for my liking. That’s my personal view. He is though a tremendous boxer. Exquisite skills and can fight in and out. There is a tragedy with floyd though: that is at the end of his career he probably won’t be able to say he fought the best when they were at their best. Did he ever risk everything in the ring? That would have been heroic. He has been too cautious for such a gifted boxer. He should have displayed more self belief in the ring not just outside it. He has all the schools, but the heart? There are greater ones.
Ali: there were 2 alis, pre and post 3 year enforced out of the ring. They both have their pluses. Pre Ali was a wonderful and flashy practitioner. And he was iconic during troubled times of the 60s. He placed himself at the fulcrum of key social and cultural events of America and world at the time. Like I not an astonishing human being. Post lay off Ali was slower and had a different game plan. Less mobile he resorted to holding and needed to utilise a strong chin. His rings smarts won him fights. His fights against Frazier foreman and norton are etched in my mind as massively huge events as big as any other. He won and lost his share. The foreman fight the whole build up and what happened in the ring are for me the most memorable thing I have seen in boxing. And there are great contenders for that accolade.
Vladimir: like floyd, can be boring to watch. But he has his method and it works and he usually gets his ko, something I always like to see. As a role model for people in and out of the ring, as a professional and someone who came back from disasters, when many said he should stop fighting, who got the best out of himself, who can compare? He is a cultured and cultivated man. Good for the game.
That’s a longish 2 cents!Posted May 7, 2014 5:38 am
Always agreed the approach is similar between the two. Simply, a champion has the right to fight in his backyard. A challenger should go to the champion. just like Joe Calzaghe. And finically, it’s a no brainer.Posted May 7, 2014 5:22 am
mayweather is a boring a-hole who wont even fight the one fighter that everyone has wanted to see him fight for years. wlad has ducked absolutely no one and has cleaned out his division. end of discussion.Posted May 7, 2014 4:33 am
Fans know Vitali is retired… That Wladimir is seeking the last belt he doesn’t own. They know there’s plenty of good heavyweights who are much better than the last 3 chumps Wladimir fought. They know Boxing is full of politics and the boxers aren’t involved in it… They just fight.Posted May 7, 2014 4:14 am
@ says.., “Таrk, pulеv hаs somе vеrу nаstу bodу shots in his аrsеnаl as wеll.”
No he doesn’t. He’s one dimensional. Jab, jab, jab, jab, right hand. He doesn’t even have a short left hook that’s worth a damn. He’s big, tall, strong, tough, and heavy handed — but he’s no all-around technician.Posted May 7, 2014 4:07 am
Wlad is obsessed with belts. Floyd is not obsessed with belts. The divisions Floyd fights in has more talented fighters, of course. Floyd pushes the envelope to hate him or like him. People who like Floyd love to see him win. People who hate Floyd love to see him lose. Floyd has not lost and people who hate him hate him more. Ali was in some ways like Floyd before the Foreman fight. People hated Ali or they like Ali. After the Foreman fight, Ali became more of a hero. People felt sorry for this big mouth because he was going to be killed by Foreman. Wlad is boring in this department. He is always trying to say the right thing. He is always trying to be the good guy. Germans love this approach. Nice arrogance can bite you in the behind. Pulev would have a hard time playing the bad guy. Pulev is seemingly a low keyed nice guy. It would be hard for him to play that role. Always trying to play the good guy approach has also probably contributed to a sense of apathy towards the HW division.
Business wise, Floyd is hands down the better business man and better product. He has fought the best except maybe for one. Belts don’t seem to matter for Floyd. He is undefeated. He is terribly liked and terribly hated.
Good guys? The difference between Pacman and Wlad is Manny does not have to play a good guy. He is like the lovable Filipino guy who you just want pat on the head. He is a folk hero in his country. Not all Germans know that Wlad is the HW Champion. Some think Vitali is. Some don’t know.Posted May 7, 2014 4:06 am

Wladimir tries to get better every training camp. With his current trainer Jonathon Banks he doesn’t have those 3-hour discussions about technique — but looks for ways to improve something.
He asked Gennady Golovkin about body punching. How he gets killer leverage on a liver shot and steps in on short, dangerous punchers like Curtis stevens and blasts the body. “I could never do what you do. How do you do that and protect yourself.”
3G said, “You need a big heavy bag. One that’s huge, and expensive, and solid, and fun to hit. You get it hanging at the exact perfect height where it’s very comfortable to drive hooks and uppercuts just above what would be your next opponent’s beltline. You target the ribs or abs alternately because he can never protect both. The trick is to see which is open when you’re watching his hands and thinking other strategies. It has to be automatic, like a catch and shoot basketball shot in full stride, you don’t think about it.
Don’t try to put body shots in hard. It’s where they land. Just make good contact that’s the secret. You’ll have throw 10,000 body punches into a heavy bag before you’ll even be good enough to floor a sparring partner with one.”
After Leapai.., “It still didn’t work. He was too easy to punch in the head.”Posted May 7, 2014 2:44 am

Wladmir>Floyd, easily. While Wlad is known for stalking and knocking out nearly every opponent, Floyd is known for running and relying on pot shots that typically do little damage. While Wlad is known for taking on all comers, Floyd is known for more ducking threatening opponents more than any other champion in the history of boxing. Could you imagine Wlad’s legacy if he refused to fight another HW for fear he might be on steroids, like Floyd?? Bottom line, Wlad would destroy Floyd in just a few rounds if he was only alowed to use his jab in the ring. Nuff said!!Posted May 7, 2014 1:31 am
tonyg.., Jameel McCline was 6’7″ X 266… He was really solid, outweighed Wladimir by 26 pounds, and was a little taller than Wladimir too.
McCline got out-boxed every round and punched out. That was about 12 years ago and Wladimir is still on top. WK had a few technical issues at that time, which is why he got with Manny Steward … It’s not a sin to have flaws and weaknesses in your game… Only if you do nothing about them.Posted May 7, 2014 12:51 am
Largo.., Wladimir is European and fights in Europe where he sells out arenas and soccer stadiums. He’s fought many times in the United States—far more than Floyd has ever fought in any other country but America. In fact, I don’t think Floyd ever fought outside the US.
Wladimir owns a doctorate and speaks 5 languages. He’s one of the most academically accomplished heavyweights ever.
Wladimir doesn’t clinch as much as Ali did and jabs a lot harder. He throws more power punches and scores many more KO’s than Ali ever did. He doesn’t depend on you or any other Klitschko hater to buy tickets to his fights. They’re all sold out so he’s not worried.
Now, of course, Floyd doesn’t depend on Floyd haters to buy tickets to his fight or watch what they say are his boring fights either. They can go take a flying fk says Floyd.
A lot of people have their noses in the air about great fighters. They don’t need to watch Boxing. They should watch tiddlywinks or whatever is their pleasure. Wladimir will continue to dominate at age 38 without them. He will outlast Floyd in fact. He defends himself as well or better than Floyd has in the last few years. He says he’s continuing to get better at age 38 … and his love life is working out a little better than Floyd’s too.Posted May 7, 2014 12:33 am

Wlad fights his mandatories. There are no other big champions to fight because he has always held all the belts. There are some interesting opponents that are better than Leapai as Tark mentioned. But Leapai did win a title ranking eliminator, Wlad did not pick him. Wlad has never ducked anybody. David Haye was much more difficult to negotiate with than Manny pacquiao. Haye wanted a $hit ton of money to. And Wlad gave it to him because he wanted to make the biggest fight in the HW division. He got it done. Where i respect Wlad in his career is when he was at his lowest he took on the most dangerous fighter in the division in Sam Peter. Peter was in the best shape of his life that night. He would have clean Knocked out many of these legendary HW’s that you guys compare the “bums” of today to. Wlad sometimes turns in a stinker. But overall i respect him. Floyd’s cool to in my book. But he has done some dispicable ducking and dodging, probably the worst in the history of the sport at such a high level.Posted May 6, 2014 9:54 pm

A bunch of Bums— fight Stiverne, wilder, pulev, fury, Jennings or country man Glazkov— oh yea the built in he is defending his mandatories argument — defending against the likes of piniata, wach, & lepai in 3 of his last 4 fights…… WHO???? Klit needs to fight the above mentioned fighters instead of his Bum mandatories. Seems like he is playing it safe & the mandatory defense is the built in excuse for his weak fights recently. Author says Floyd fights weak opposition, but anybody he fights will be considered overmatched n cherry picked I.e. The Maidana fight. If PAC fought Maidana they would call him a warrior and say he’s gutsy for fighting such a big puncher. PAC may be able to fight Maidana Lite in Provo soon enough!!Posted May 6, 2014 8:16 pm
Tark taller and and somewhat heavier does not mean bigger. The size he of a man is determined by is frame. Most if not all the fighters you mentioned if the enter the flight in the same shape as the klits brothers they would weight alot less than them. And also don’t forget that every time Mayweather fights he fight a current champ. That’s unprecedented in the history of boxing. Ali didn’t do that no one. Please get off Mayweather case. This pundit writes.., “In Klitschko’s case, there simply aren’t that many options.”
NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP with this line of utter crap!!!
Wladimir has TOO MANY OPTIONS. Pulev, Wilder, Jennings, Stiverne, Fury, Glazkov, Chisora, Browne, Takam, Ruiz, and Perez… That’s 11 who are better than Leapai, his last challenger.
That’s 5 and a half years of title defenses at the rate Floyd fights… and 11 years of title challengers for the rate Marvin Hagler fought in 1985, 1986, and 1987.. A fresh batch of contenders will emerge before Wladimir ever got through that list.
Give me 11 likely Heavyweight Challengers for Rocky Marciano to fight in 1953… for Joe Louis to fight in 1947… for Floyd Patterson to fight in 1557… or for Muhammad Ali to fight in 1966.
Or tell me who the top 12 cruiserweights are right now!!!Posted May 6, 2014 7:34 pm

Floyd Mayweather is a smoke n’ mirrors 21st Century WWE-type showman. Thinks he’s due more than anyone else. A very good boxer, but nowhere near legendary in his resume or in the way he fights. He’s a talented pot-shotter, gifted and a good athlete, but also a entitled spoiled prima donna who wants everything his own way. Floyd isn’t allowed to lose… He’s maybe Top 25-30 of all time, at best…Wladimir is worthy of more respect and Wlad isn’t even exciting either, like Floyd isn’t, but Wlad is Heavyweight Champ, has bounced back from losses like a man, has taken on his best challengers (so far) and fights outside his home country…
Pure overall talent and skill level, Prime vs. Prime, it’s Floyd. Overall better fighter, is Wlad since he is a HW and would beat the living $#!+ out of Floyd. P4P doesn’t exist in the Real World.
As far as outside the ring, YES, it’s all about the Honorable Dr. Wladimir Klitschko. Great Role Model from what I can see from a far distance.Posted May 6, 2014 5:12 pm
Floyd has sold out being seen with Justin Bieber. Bieber belongs in a boxing ring as much as pork belongs on a muslims dinner table.
His daughters like Bieber so that’s big for a Father.
Second, it was a brilliant promotional move to bring in Bieber. Bieber has a huge fanbase and is a boxing fan to boot. He became one through his Father. See the positive link? That’s your fanbase. He is actually a fan of boxing and not some celebrity that jumps on the bandwagon. His father was a big fan of Floyd.
Lil Wayne is a boxing fan too.
Now do I think some of the people he surrounds himself are talented? Maybe in making money but as far as “artistic” talent…………….I do believe in miracles.Posted May 6, 2014 5:09 pm
In fact, it’s an insult to Wladimir, to compare any of his accomplishments in the ring to someone like FMJ…who disrespects the sport and it’s fans. What a joke!Posted May 6, 2014 5:06 pm
The Mayweather lottery, Maidana got 1.5 million, guess they need to start calling it the Mayweather scratch off ticket.
1.5 + PPV.
And don’t forget, by fighting him and beating him will sky rocket your legacy and value in the rematch and future fight$. So yes, its much better to face Floyd than anyone else.Posted May 6, 2014 5:04 pm

punch, wbo push harder for the leapai fight whereas the ibf didn’t.Posted May 6, 2014 4:47 pm
Anybody who thinks FMJ actually runs his business affairs must be the same people who think he’s the best ever…FMJ is owned by the “powers that be in Las Vegas”, just as they own the other entertainers on the strip. He brings in not just PPV money yet all of Vegas businesses cash in on the three to four days spread each fight weekend. Wladimir is well educated with several degrees and is a non American. So, he wouldn’t benefit as well boxing in the USA….decisions wouldn’t come so deservingly in some regions.Posted May 6, 2014 4:24 pm
never knew justin bieber was a southpaw.Posted May 6, 2014 4:16 pm
Well yes but then again now he was in a crowd pleasing fight so yeah doesn’t really matter.
He’s looking great every time he steps into the ring and he’s 37 so gotta give him some slack. But kinda sick that it didn’t really look like he has lost a step.Posted May 6, 2014 4:02 pm
1.5 million, lol, Justin bieber spend that much in a weekend on Doritos.Posted May 6, 2014 3:44 pm
Pulev became Wlad’s mandatory end of August 2013. Last I checked that isn’t over a year ago, or did time and 4 months pass me by somewhere. Each org places time frame restrictions. WBO had theirs first. Pulev should be next.Posted May 6, 2014 3:43 pm

fair article. Floyd will avoid Thurman or porter.Posted May 6, 2014 3:37 pm
Pulev had been Wlad mandatory for over a year but yet he fought Leapai.Posted May 6, 2014 3:31 pm
I disagree, they’re running out of opponents….not their fault….as for PBF, he has a lot of opponents available…but too CHICKEN to face the best.Posted May 6, 2014 3:20 pm
Two most Boring fighters (supposedly) are making MILLIONS.
You know who isn’t bored? Floyd and Wlad when they are doing the Scrooge- McDuck dive into their gold coined filled room.
Its Good To Be The King.
Bottom line, be independent. Be in charge of your own career when you can. Yes, you may have to spend years working for someone else, getting bossed and ripped off a bit, but as soon as you can, leave. Now it will take YOU doing most of the work with your fists and your savvy while the Promoter takes credit, but he has the money right now. Be patient. And then break the chains and leave.Posted May 6, 2014 3:11 pm
Exactly! The Klits are only working with what they have… or lack of talented Heavies… Floyd on the other hand takes the shortest, most convenient, low risk, route. Seriously… Carlos Baldomir, rings true… Robert Guerrero, rings true… Victor Ortiz, rings true…
All low risk fighters who had a belt… then get o 24/7 and pump it up to the peak as a legitimate contender… Farce! But it’s a tried and true gimmick that Floyd knows all too well and how to work it.Posted May 6, 2014 2:38 pm
