Well.., Khan didn’t dazzle vs Julio Diaz… Thuman and Porter did dazzle vs him.Posted May 1, 2014 4:48 am
I think Khan will get knocked out within 4 rounds…if it goes further than that, I’d say Khan by a debatable decision victory.Posted April 30, 2014 5:25 pm
Collazo “slick”? In what universe?Posted April 30, 2014 2:05 pm
Save your money! Watch the replayPosted April 30, 2014 11:39 am
However, I agree with that it was staged, but then what isn’t? This very conversation was staged aeons ago, back in the mists of time when Bob Arum, Al Haymon and Jesus Christ Superstar were inventing the universe.Posted April 30, 2014 5:26 am
“the acting is so hilarious! remember joe cortez’s slow mo reaction??? he was too old to make the acting seemless!”
Are you sure you didn’t watch that in slow motion replay? People’s reactions seem slower in slow motion replay for some reason.Posted April 30, 2014 5:24 am
isn’t it strange when he said that he wants to safeguard his health? real fighters go inside the ring with the do or die mentality… i’m not against the health and welfare of the boxers but if you think of it, he hasn’t engaged himself in toe to toe wars to be really concerned about health… the WWE has taught him that an entertainer’s health wouldn’t be compromised in a staged event… people will still watch and there’s money to be made… so why accept real challenges when we can do inhouse and stage everything… everyone wins! from the fighter to the promoter to the adviser!Posted April 30, 2014 5:01 am
haymon will try to make mayweather immortal… hahaha! watch the replay folks! let me just remind you of what happened in the mayweather vs ortiz fiasco… the acting is so hilarious! remember joe cortez’s slow mo reaction??? he was too old to make the acting seemless!Posted April 30, 2014 4:09 am
maidana will come out with guns blazing then he will tire out then comes the KO win for floyd! scripted like the WWE! watch the replay to see how the theatrics unfold!Posted April 30, 2014 3:55 am
the fight is rigged!!! watch the replay!Posted April 30, 2014 3:28 am
Khan to shine early. Collazo should be able to win if he can take Khan’s early onslaught. He should be able to punish Khan from the 4th round on and possibly win most of the late rounds.
Khan ain’t as big at WW. I don’t see his in&out style with lacking defense working all night against a world class fighter. Question is if Collazo will perform to the best of his abilities.Posted April 30, 2014 2:29 am
Come on brown.., How long has it been since Khan fought a good fighter? The Garcia fight. The Alexander fight was all set, but Khan knew he had little chance and pulled out.
Ordinarily I would like the Collazo fight. It’s a step up from Julio Diaz. I just don’t like the implication that if Khan wins he earns a Floyd fight — and that the judges, referee, and commentators are going to help Khan win, anyway they can.
Porter or Thurman would knock khan cold within 5 rounds.Posted April 30, 2014 12:32 am
LOL… A bunch of second rate fighters having a round robin.Posted April 29, 2014 6:38 pm
“@Martin.., None of that means anything..”
Really? Darn it! And I really thought I was onto something…Posted April 29, 2014 6:27 pm
Collazo wins, and Khan is in trouble.Posted April 29, 2014 4:59 pm
He better.Posted April 29, 2014 4:51 pm
@Martin.., None of that means anything..
Collazo-Berto was extremely close.. Maidana-Khan should have gone to Maidana, but was also close.. Cortez broke up clinches that weren’t clinches — where Maidana had had a hand free to punch. Khan was lucky as Hell he didn’t get knocked out.
Peterson-Ortiz could have gone either way… Ortiz-Berto was actually won clearly by Ortiz, but both were down twice… Both were getting the crap knocked out of them.
There is very little to chose in those fights.. None of those guys were really good boxers. None of them had a real jab or a real good defense. None of them were terrific fighters.
That is not true with Porter… Thurman… Pacquiao… or Bradley. Those guys are pretty good, although Bradley is no puncher.Posted April 29, 2014 4:46 pm
— Berto beat Collazo
— Collazo beat Ortiz
— Ortiz beat Berto
So what does that tell you?
That’s right: that if Berto fought Berto, Berto would probably win.
— Khan beat Maidana
— Maidana beat Ortiz
— Collazo beat Ortiz
— Ortiz drew with Peterson
— Peterson beat Khan
So what does that tell you?
That’s right: Ortiz isn’t very good.
So who will win? Collazo or Khan?
I don’t know.
Neither do you.
We’ll have to wait and see.Posted April 29, 2014 4:03 pm
In the GBP world Broner is still coddled and Khan is getting set up as roadkill. This is a 50-50 bout whereas Broner vs Molina is an easy win for the house fighter.Posted April 29, 2014 3:28 pm
Not an interesting matchup. A fight between 2 losers designed to get to May-Khan.Posted April 29, 2014 3:20 pm
This is a good match-up…..A lot better than some of the top liners we have been handed.Strangely Khan has never had a rematch with anyone who has beaten him…I think Khan can take him, but if he takes him to lightly Collazo will beat him…Posted April 29, 2014 3:15 pm
Collazo’s a veteran who’s been around and should have enough left in the tank to whip Kahn. Still should be a competitive action fight between these two.Posted April 29, 2014 2:49 pm
khan-collazo is close only because neither can fight. both will get punched in the head a lot. you can get that with any amateur card for 6 bucks. two poor defenders winging shots.Posted April 29, 2014 12:22 pm
I see the Collazo vs Khan as a very close, competitive fight. Actually the only decent fight on the card. Still doesn’t justify pay to view.Posted April 29, 2014 12:10 pm
Khan sucks period..so don’t hype itPosted April 29, 2014 12:02 pm
*BrooklynitePosted April 29, 2014 11:53 am
Rooting for the Brooklyinte, I’m a fan and it appears Khan is overlooking him slightly. Should be a good scrap, Khan’s never been in a boring fight and I don’t think Collazo has either.Posted April 29, 2014 11:53 am
Collazo always a tough fight for anyone, don’t look past him….it could mean disasterPosted April 29, 2014 11:44 am
Khan won’t dazzle.. He’ll unfrazzle.. That is if he was fighting anyone who could fight.
They pick lame ducks for this guy. What about Porter or Thurman?Posted April 29, 2014 11:41 am
Save your money, or give it charity. You can easily watch Khan-Collazo live online (via e.g. First Row).Posted April 29, 2014 11:14 am
dont you just love ppv boxing.Posted April 29, 2014 11:02 am
collazo wins on a hook over the jab. easy koPosted April 29, 2014 10:55 am
Khan v Collazo is the only fight that makes me want to buy the PPV – the other fights are garbagePosted April 29, 2014 10:44 am
Kahn is a coward who parades around dreaming of a bout with Floyd in which he would get his ass kicked, no fighter is more pathetic than this ass clown. He ran from Alexander and he been dropped by Garcia he is nothing and he showed his true colors by begging. He needs to move on fight the best like Porter , Rematch Garcia, Broner then Floyd will have no choice but what oes he do beg and plead like a biioootchPosted April 29, 2014 10:42 am
But if you think about it, all those fighters are 147lb fighters, maybe even 140. They could mix and match with each other also, losers and winners fighting each other.Posted April 29, 2014 10:22 am
Not enough money to make a card like that. Every one of those fights are close or even over million dollar paydays. The money Pac and Floyd would demand would not leave much for all those fights.Posted April 29, 2014 10:21 am
Hoping Collazo goes ahead and beats Khan. Get him out of the picture. Never heard a guy talk so much and look so crappy in his fights.Posted April 29, 2014 9:51 am
This fight could end up looking like Froch Vrs Groves! I can see Khan beating up Callazo for 8 rounds then tiring amd Callazo coming on strong towards the end of the fight. So it could be down to, can Khan survive the last 4 roudn fo the fight without getting knocked out.Posted April 29, 2014 9:38 am
The Achilles heal will not go away. It will always be there. No matter how fast and well he fights there will always be nails anxiously nibbled to the Bone waiting for him to be hit. He needs to be managed carefully. He also needs to become modest in self knowledge not self delusion.Posted April 29, 2014 9:20 am

Kahn can win if he boxes like he did against Maidana. But if he engages in a fight on the ropes it’s going to be a short night. I like the kid he’s fun to watch but to say he’s earned a right to fight Money May? Not so much. He talks as if it’s his birth right. He needs to just focus on what’s in front of him and not get ahead of himself.Posted April 29, 2014 9:04 am
This is how a PPV should look like if the promoters got together:
“Pound for Pound Number 1″
main event = mayweather vs pacquiao
undercard 1. porter vs bradley
collazo is being hugely underestimated by khan which is just fine. collazo will make him look bad.Posted April 29, 2014 8:36 am
Khan by UDPosted April 29, 2014 8:18 am
Khan’s Cuz Achmed
King Amir is ready for four fights over the next 15 months. Waiting around for pissy pants Floydee was a waste. After King Amir dazzles with blinding speed and lightning combinations Floydee will have no choice but step in the ring or look like an even bigger chicken. #KingKhan2014 #FiddysaidMayweathertasteslikechickenPosted April 29, 2014 8:09 am
Khan by decision…all he needs is a win,to get a Mayweather fight he dosent have to dazzle.Besides Collazo will be hard to look great against…but if Khan wins then Mayweather will call him out…its a easy fight for Mayweather ofcourse!!!Posted April 29, 2014 7:48 am
Obviously, Amir Khan has not been great in recent years.
He has notable wins over Malignaggi, Maidana, and Judah.
He has notable losses from Garcia, Peterson, and Prescott.
He won but looked bad against Diaz.
Collozzo will be difficult. Khan has fought well against guys with handspeed (Malignaggi and Judah). So, it is possible that this is fight becomes a very good comeback win.
However, Collozzo appears to have more power and more street smarts at this stage of his career. So, it is possible this fight becomes another bad KO loss.
It is a good fight. The outcome is in doubt.Posted April 29, 2014 7:33 am
Khan won’t survive his best bet is to run and jab but if and when collazo catches that chin it’s gonna be a problem I got collazo by ko if khan squeezes this one out its by split decisionPosted April 29, 2014 7:24 am
If Khan stays on his feet, he wins by UD.
*IF*Posted April 29, 2014 6:54 am
Khan is gonna get seriously hurt in there, i fear for the kidPosted April 29, 2014 6:47 am
FK Amir KhanPosted April 29, 2014 5:59 am
yes you may have a 0 in your record but people will always ask… why didn’t he fight this fighter or that fighter… the fighter’s legacy will always be questioned… when the fighter gets old its no longer the money… its the legacy! mayweather’s legacy = i’m a rich loud mouth who won against hand picked opponents!Posted April 29, 2014 5:16 am
again there’s no shame in losing… how come mayweather is so afraid of this. when a champion loses, he gets back on his feet and fights to win again!Posted April 29, 2014 5:13 am
We forget Khan is only 26 or 27, still lots of time to get better especially with Hunter training him and who knows his chin might be better at 147, this is his first true 147 competitive fight as the Diaz fight was at 143 remember.Posted April 29, 2014 4:58 am
3 fights ago I meant.Posted April 29, 2014 4:52 am
It depends how he loses, if the fight steals the show and he loses a close decision then he should fight on, no shame in losing to a top 10 welterweight, if he gets KO’d badly early then that;s different but look at Pacman he was taking a nap two fights 3 fights ago and now he’s right back up there again.Posted April 29, 2014 4:50 am
Khan will bring his A game and pull off a memeroble victory but if his lose’s then he should retire.Posted April 29, 2014 4:39 am
yes khan’s fights are not boring because he also likes to engage and he has good footwork… but khan has a glass chin, he will not survive a relentless power puncher!Posted April 29, 2014 4:37 am
khan is all but a hype! the main reason why haymon got him is because of khan’s huge UK following… this translates to money! just like hatton once the khan star power is diminished he will be thrown out like trash!Posted April 29, 2014 4:35 am
Khan will probably lose, but at least it will be exciting. I’ve never seen a boring Khan fight.Posted April 29, 2014 4:34 am
If he could just have the savvy to stick to his boxing and use his speed he couldve been a great fighter, he just doesn’t have that mentality and gets dragged out of his gameplan to exchange punches and gets caught, always exciting though and that means a lot to me,no doubt this’ll be another exciting fight and that’ll more than likly be down to Khan not Collazo.Posted April 29, 2014 4:15 am
The title should read, Khan ready to get KO’d by slick Collazo.Posted April 29, 2014 4:10 am
