AMIGO MIO

MY PREDICTION: the boxer with a big mouth and no balls as arranged by the promoter will win by a fixed knockout to be more impressive than Pacquiao ‘ s fight.THIS IS A FIXED FIGHT AS USUAL BUT NOT AS OBVIOUS AS ORTIZ’ DRAMA KNOCKOUT OR CANELO’ S RELUCTANCE TO ENGAGE.People are used and still watching their racket because they are blind idiots

Manny Pacquiao is clearly the greatest fighter in the history of boxing. He has accomplished more than any boxer in history, His physical boxing skills, abilities and talent can be matched by no one. He has carried and dominated this beautiful sport for over 10 years. His convincing, spectacular victory of Timothy Bradley last weekend closed the door on who was the better fighter. Manny Pacquiao has no more questions left to answer. The vast majority of boxing fans come to the same conclusion as I do. There has never been a better fighter that fought all challengers regardless of weight class, and brought more excitement to boxing than Manny Pacquiao. Boxing was in a frenzy every time Manny Pacquiao entered the squared circle to take on, and beat yet another world class fighter. He is the number UNO P4P fighter today. His tax issues are being resolved, and he will not be in need of money. His future is secure, trust me. He has so many avenues outside of boxing to make a living from. His endorsement deals are very rewarding financially. He is the most sought after person in the world today. His influence in society continues to make it’s way into every stitch of society. Manny Pacquiao is more than just a hero to everyone, he’s a blanket that clothes peoples hearts. Manny Pacquiao has an aura about him that speaks of love, respect and humility. Manny is a fighter that puts his heart and soul into each fight and asks for nothing in return. He continues to have the discipline and honor he’s always had for the sport of boxing. Manny Pacquaio is a good man in a bad sport. Corruption is always around the corner waiting to get him, but he is the only fighter I can recall that keeps his integrity and loyalty to his friends, family and those that gave him the opportunity to make a living. This is a true and genuine man that will stand up for what’s right in the face of death. We will see the greatest fighter in history fight again. He doesn’t need the arrogant, selfish, materialistic, money hungry Floyd Mayweather. He doesn’t need whining, crying, cheating, lying Juan Manuel Marquez. They need him. Manny Pacquiao has graced us with his presence for many years. I will send a letter asking congress and president Obama to have a day of celebration for Manny Pacquiao once he calls it a day. Manny Pacquiao will break a lot of hearts, and the world must create more oceans so that the tears of Manny Pacquiao will fill them up once he’s retired. Trust me, there will never be another Manny Pacquiao. And also trust me when i say that Manny Pacquiao has a little more work to finish. Manny is the best ever!

Broner did not belong at welterweight that is why Maidana had his way with him. Mayweather is no Broner. Mayweather will walk through Maidana and render him impotent like what Devon Alexander did to him. Watch the Alexander Maidana fight and you will find out for yourselves.

GUYS, IF THIS WERE A REAL FIGHT, FLOYD COULD BE IN TROUBLE, JUST LIKE HE COULD HAVE BEEN WITH CANELO. HOWEVER, WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT THESE FIGHTS ARE STAGED. FLOYD WOULD NOT TAKE ON A DANGEROUS FIGHTER OF THIS ILK IF HE WASN’T SURE OF THE OUTCOME. THE FIGHT WILL LIKELY BE FIXED.

Anonymous.., “TARK, If Marcos jabs him which he hated because it offsets his rhythm he will counter to the body and head and make him stop doing it like he did Oscar.”

Oscar actually didn’t stop doing it… He threw more jabs in the 2nd half of the fight, but they weren’t effective because Oscar never had a great jab. Neither does Canelo yet, at this stage of his development, but he stuck with the jab too because it worked for Cotto.

Cotto has a very nice smooth jab that’s hard to time. He got it on Floyd’s nose pretty good. What Cotto doesn’t have is a great 1-2 or a great jab, hook, right combination.

I see Lara being a better match for Floyd. Rigondeaux told him to practice every day with a tireless need to be the best, because that’s his only prayer of being great. Rigo really ripped Lara for being lazy and having a poor attitude. Plus Erislandy has the Charlo Bros for sparring and you can’t beat that.

I’m anxious to see his fight with Canelo … and if he does well in that fight, just what he’ll have to say about Floyd.

Mayweather is a lot bigger than Broner. Maidana wont be able to do the same trick on Floyd. It would just wont work. Broner has a bigger heart though than that chicken Mayweather.

Mayweather is not bigger than Broner. I believe Broner walks around at close to 160. Also, he is stronger than Floyd and tougher.

FLOYD IS A SPOILED BRAT AND HAS DECIDED TO CHEAT HIS WAY TO BEING AN UNDEFEATED BOXER. ALWAYS BET ON MAYWEATHER.

Maidana’s best shot is to come out right from the opening bell and do his best to rough Floyd up. Floyd usually takes a few rounds to get into his rhythm. If a fighter is successful in making Floyd feel uncomfortable early on, who knows what might happen. But it’s obviously easier said than done.

Posted April 17, 2014 5:24 am

JL

Outside of him fighting Pacquiao, I’m not really too interested in Floyd Mayweather fights anymore. I mean yes in boxing anything can happen and there is always that chance that Maidana could get a few bombs in and make history. But it most likely won’t happen. I really hope Floyd sticks to his word and retires when his Showtime contract ends.

Posted April 17, 2014 5:19 am

I think what maidana should do is to bang and fire away at the arm doing the shoulder roll. Soften mayweather’s defense mechanism and surely the head will follow. He should work on his stamina and endurance to go after mayweather the full 12 rounds. He should also work on cutting the ring efficiently to corner mayweather.

Posted April 17, 2014 2:26 am

Kid

Maidana’s too slow to keep up the pace! When he fought an old morales he lost steam in the latter rounds, same is true in the broner fight. He will punch himself out and get knocked out. He was cherry picked for tmt to show the world that he can hang in there with bangers and heavy punchers!

Yeah Tark but Floyd since he added his father back is not stupid enough to go toe to toe with Marcos like he did with Cotto, if Marcos jabs him which he hated because it offsets his rhythm he will counter to the body and head and make him stop doing it like he did Oscar, Canelo and everyone else nothing works against Floyd. Marcos is strong and can bang but he is too slow and a plotter he will be easy pickings totally mismatch like everyone else.

Posted April 16, 2014 11:49 pm

TARK

This pundit advises MM.., “Another key to a Maidana victory is to control the fight with a good solid jab. The jab seems to be the only punch that an orthodox boxer can consistently score against Mayweather.”

An othodox boxer with one Hell of a jab is the ONLY guy who can do that.

Since when does Maidana have Miguel Cotto’s jab??? Maidana won’t be able control the fight with a “good solid jab.” Cotto couldn’t control Mayweather with an ATG masterful jab. Maidana has a lame jab. If Maidana jabs too much he’ll be eating a ton of right hands.

Maidana has to get on his horse and charge… He has to fling punches from every angle and redo his Khan fight.. He’s got to throw power punches like crazy.

When he lands a terrific shot he’s got to follow it up immediately… Not like Shane Mosley who stood there in amazement that he landed a big punch on Floyd … and didn’t follow it up well.

When MM’s not throwing he should be moving, move back circle, feint, circle, move back, feint, feint, circle … until he’s ready to launch another crushing assault.

Broner is untested to say the least the fool fought a bunch of nobodies until he ran into Marcos. Broner is a hype job a Floyd wanabe I wouldnt be surprised if he gets dropped again he needs to fight at 135. Too much comp for him at 140 and 147…

Posted April 16, 2014 10:48 pm

Tomato Can

Kid, Broner should have never been fighting at 147. He doesn’t have the size or strength to last long at 147. 140 will be tough on him as well. There’s a lot of good fighters at 140.

Posted April 16, 2014 10:24 pm

Kid

Going back to 140 after being the champion at 147 is a step backwards! Why not stay at 147 and challenge yourself further at the weight division? I watch and care for boxing because boxing started it all and i want boxing not to be manipulated. I watch the mma just for kicks.

Posted April 16, 2014 9:45 pm

I like the card. I’m interested to see if Collazo can make the most of this opportunity, and I’m equally interested in seeing how Khans going to fair at 147…I’m also looking forward to see if Bronner makes 140, or will they make a last minute concession to fight above 140… I also am looking forward to the main event. Mayweather may be the heavy favorite, but he’s getting long in the tooth. One of these guys are going to test him sooner or later. History proves that anyone can lose, and the losses often come unsuspected…. So maybe some of you non boxing fans should just stick with MMA, since that’s what you prefer. I’ll take boxing over MMA any day.

It would have been much more interesting if they did the broner vs khan undercard. This was hyped in the first place. But why do that now when you can delay that for another time. Haymon opted to go the thug route to indirectly extort money from the fans.

Maidana deserves the shot, but its gonna be fixed! The outcome has already been finalized even before the match starts. Boxing is rigged! Haymon, arum, schaefer are all guilty… Dela hoya is nothing! He’s merely schaefer’s front. They’re all making the sport look bad. Why has UFC succeeded? Because the fighters don’t just run around. No one escapes, people will get hit no matter what… Thats what people really want, the hit and not get hit cliche is taken in the wrong light. People want action, knockouts, exchanges, toe to toe.

Posted April 16, 2014 7:51 pm

Maidana is a champion because he’s done something right. He deserves this shot just as much as anyone at 147. Does he have the greatest chance at beating Mayweather, no. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he deserves the shot. Besides stranger things have happened in this sport.

Fighters who are mentally sound have the ability to rebound from a loss and come back. Mayweather is not mentally sound… Just watch his freakin videos on youtube as he responds to criticisms all over… Do you think all these will stop haunting him, the effects of these are more stressful to him than to pacquiao because people keep on asking him the same questions over and over. Pacquiao just smiles! He gives them the same answer – anytime, anywhere…

Posted April 16, 2014 7:30 pm

Kid

If a technically sound but slow canelo was no match against mayweather, how much more with a wild brawler in maidana. Mayweather would just toy around with him and make him look stupid… Btw, how come there was no twitting from floyd when pacquiao won??? Because an old battle worn pacquiao made bradley look stupid. Mayweather hasn’t been in such wars and if ever put in such situation he’d rather ride his bicycle. Duran, ali, robinson, leonard, hagler, mancini, hearns and all the other greats boxed when needed, brawled when needed and faced opponents who legitimate threats just so they could prove to everyone that they’re the best… Loses never took out the best of them…

Actually the best do face each other in MMA because the UFC has a near monopoly on the sport and that dude who runs it acts as the league’s president. So fighters do what he says, resulting in many of the name guys fighting each other. This Pac vs Floyd kind of nonsense won’t happen until a second or third viable competitor to the UFC shows up. Then that sport will be as screwed as boxing is.

Why Floyd Mayweather is not the best fighter pound for pound

By Paul Mercke On April 15, 2014 · In Boxing
… .

Professional BoxingNow that Manny Pacquiao has “officially” defeated Tim Bradley, talks come to life again about the Megamillion fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather. But first, we have to establish who’s number one.

According to pundits, Mayweather is the anointed one. In my books, he is NOT. Definitely NOT. Why?

When you define the word best in its purest form, it is the top of the heap, the cream of the crop. And in order to be on top, you should have defeated all your opponents that’s at least in the top 5. Conclusion, Floyd is a good fighter but not the best. When you keep on ducking opponents that can beat you, you cannot even be considered a ‘fighter’. Look at the UFC for instance; these guys are fighters in its purest form. They fight whoever is in their cards and lay it all on the line whoever they’re fighting with. How can you prove you’re the best when you haven’t been fighting with the best of the best. Now, nobody can argue that Pacquiao is one of the best. He has defeated all of the best fighters in the divisions he has been involved. He will not back down on any opponent and gives his all on every fight. Except for Floyd , who has time and again found every reason on the the book to chicken out . What can make him fight Pacquiao? If he is a ‘real’ fighter, he will accept even a 50/50 share of the purse to prove to us all boxing aficionados that he can ‘really’ fight. Unbeaten means nothing if you’re beating has beens and unproven boxers. I hope he gains enough willpower and enough mojo to see the big picture and be regarded as really a brave champion. Unbeaten means nothing if in the back of your mind, you did not fight against a champion of the caliber of Pacquiao. But to be realistic and truthful, Floyd and Pacquiao may never materialize because a chicken is always a chicken. Take your pick.

Whats Your Verdict?

Posted April 16, 2014 4:13 pm

Kid, risk vrs reward. That’s why. If one of those guys were p4p no. 1 instead of Mayweather, then things might be different.

Ortiz? Baldomir? Marquez and not even making the weight??? Canelo? Did you see how slow and predictable canelo was in the angulo fight? Guerrero? Who has he fought? These fighters were champions that were studied carefully and picked from the golden boy roster to make mayweather look great. If not pacquiao why not martinez? He said he was willing to go down… Why not bradley?

Posted April 16, 2014 2:15 pm

Mike Tyson

If maidana weight in at his best weight 146 lb he has His right hand lobbing punch over the jab or 2-4 combo will connect on Floyd, see that as his only hope if he get that working as he did on broner, he could get a few rounds, other that floyd will mix it up, at the end of the jab, hold, counter punch.
I think for Floyd the uppercut mix in and the body shot is Floyd best weapon .

Other than maidana scoring a lucky ko, unlikely, it’s a U.D for Floyd, maidana just too slow but a 8 scale busy. A enjoyable action fight is what most wanted. Can they deliver.

Posted April 16, 2014 1:53 pm

Tomato Can

These days, boxing is about making money more than legacy. But really who can be blamed for that? Perhaps all of us fans can be blamed. We’re the ones who cast aside fighters after a tough fight or controversial decision, little lone a loss… If a fighter gets beat more than once, we start calling them ESPN fighters. So obviously, fighters know their better off getting big money fights while their losses are kept in check. Until that changes things will remain the way they are. Once a fighter gets on top, he’s not going to hand his status over to please fans, unless he will in turn remain marketable regardless of the outcome. In addition, no fighters going to sacrifice his piece of the pie, unless the risk is worth the reward…

Posted April 16, 2014 1:51 pm

Kid

Lets look back at the ortiz vs mayweather fiasco… The WWE acting of ortiz, cortez and mayweather was horrible! Its the same thing i see happening in this event, maidana will come out firing then lose heat in the later rounds to get knocked out! Dream ending to boost mayweather’s image.

Posted April 16, 2014 1:47 pm

Kid

Maidana’s climb was a result of hardwork and i’m pretty sure that haymon didn’t expect that kind of a result from the broner fight. This time haymon will make sure that maidana’s leesh is tightly secured. This is where maidana’s character will be tested. Don’t be surprised if he gets knocked out cold… The fight is going to be rigged.

Posted April 16, 2014 1:42 pm

Popkins

I don’t think betting on Floyd on points will get you much money. Lol. To b fair tho this a bit of a banana skin fight for Mayweather. He’ll get very little credit if he wins every round. Even a knockout win probably won’t impress many critics as Maidana is outside the pound for pound top 20. …. But if Floyd were to lose to a light welterweight that has recently been schooled by Alexander…. Floyd’s career will b in tatters. But then he did cherry pick this fight, so we can’t feel too sorry for him! …

Posted April 16, 2014 1:41 pm

Fight Aficionado

Not much analysis needed here. Floyd’s too fast and elusive. A relatively easy UD win. Only way Maidana has a chance is if he brings heat from the opening bell like he did against Broner. But his punch count will decline significantly against Floyd, leading to a futile and boring 12 rounds.

Posted April 16, 2014 1:39 pm

The economics will dictate the outcome of this event, the cashcow will win simply because he generates more income. From the promoter to the fighters to the management of mgm to people selling event merchandise…

Posted April 16, 2014 1:33 pm

Maidana is a b level fighter because he just takes chances throwing haymakers and brawling. His strategy is not calculated. He will tire out! If ever he beats mayweather it will be because of a lucky knock out punch. But thats not gonna happen, because the fight is fixed! Don’t get me wrong but i would love maidana to beat mayweather just to prove that he’s not who we think he is. The sad truth is that they both have the same adviser. The adviser makes sure that all will benefit! If maidana was promoted or handled by somebody else i’d give him a 70% chance of winning…

Kid, Maidana is not a B-level fighter. He’s an A-level fighter. But he will be fighting a guy who is above the A-level list. Mayweather is an elite fighter. He is one of the few, one of the rare.

But really, there is just no way–not even for money or future promises of bouts and/or titles–that Marcos Rene Maidana will throw this fight, in any way shape or form. This man has earned this fight with Floyd as much as or more anyone else who has ever been in the ring with him.

Floyd is the overwhelming favorite to win this fight, but Marcos does not care about ratings or stature when he’s in the ring. He’s going to bring it.

I will not question maidana’s heart but in this dirty business you take some and you lose some. When the stakes are high who would you rather sacrifice maidana a B level fighter or your cashcow mayweather? Here’s what i think happened. Haymon – maidana you’re the champion already, lose the belt to mayweather we’ll just pair you with some of our great named fighters after. you get more share of the pie (money) and when mayweather retires you can get your belt back. Everyone wins in our team!

What kind of an adviser are you if you would let a newly signed client lose in the first outing. Both are potential assets and both can generate money if both put on a spectacular showings beating nobodies! Besides mayweather is near his end just like pacquiao so i’m pretty sure haymon needs another moneymaker in the near future. Everything is mapped out. In short rigged!

“the sport of boxing is rigged – my prediction, al haymon will advise marcos maidana to take one for the team…”

Maidana would never do that kid. His fight record speaks for itself. There’s nothing more in the world that Maidana wants than to be a unified champion and recognized as the best welterweight in the world. He will fight for that on May 3, guaranteed.

LMAO! I like this version of Boxtradamus!

Nowadays its all about the money. Its no longer about the legacy. Fight safe fights, keep an unblemished records, be treated as the GOAT. How i wish we were still back in the days when a 0 in a fighter’s loss records means nothing! What’s important back then was heart, and that honor comes first before money. Now boxing is equivalent to business. Money first, honor later. This is the sad truth.

Anonymous, regarding Mikey Garcia’s lawsuit against Top Rank: Mikey will have to prove that there is a coercive provision in his contract as well as one other prohibited element occurring at the same time.

Additionally, it’s interesting to me that Mikey wants to sue Top Rank because, “Under Top Rank’s guidance, Garcia has won two world titles, a featherweight belt in January 2013 and a junior lightweight belt in November, and is widely regarded as one of the best fighters in the world. He was stripped of his featherweight title for failing to make weight for a June 2013 defense. Top Rank has also secured Garcia FIVE CONSECUTIVE LUCRATIVE FIGHTS on HBO.”

I hope Mikey Garcia has a very good and honest lawyer as this lawsuit is going to be a long, expensive affair.

Broner and Khan aren’t fighting because Khan did not want to fight Broner. He stated that in an interview. Before he even signed with Haymon. I think Khan would of probably beat him but since Floyd suggested it, he was trying to stick it to Floyd. But he is still ending up no the card anyways. As for Broner they are moving him back down and have to build his confidence back up but he won’t do much in boxing. Not in my opinion

Promoters don’t get along because of greed. Honestly matchups are very competitive when fighters are from opposing promoters… You can be sure that the fight is a heads up fight. Who would want their fighter to lose to a fighter of an opposing promoter?

Posted April 16, 2014 12:01 pm

We can talk all we want, fact of the matter is, mayweather is still fighting a hyped maidana who is a 12-1 underdog. Mayweather will win because this show is manipulated like WWE. And how come broner isn’t fighting khan in the undercard? So haymon can make more money making this match in the future. They will both win thats for sure, because its rigged. Join the group (tmt), be willing to be manipulated, share in the piece of the pie. Simple logic. I don’t know why fans still fall for this like they do in the WWE.

Floyd will remain fraud unless he fight Pacquiao.

No need to see in crystal ball who will win even fraud use only one hand still he will be the winner. Maidana is sacrificial lamb to keep fraud zero.

What he has done is the ring has exhibited greatness. What he does outside of it, I could care less.

—Mayweather has made it a point to project himself in a manor that does anything but define greatness. Yes, he is still unbeaten, but does that mean anything in and of itself? Winning doesn’t define greatness if the quality of the opposition is in question.

But you are wrong. Probably the only reason he won. That is funny. I think he would of beat Mosley or Oscar at any time. There is a reason they didn’t want to fight him. Floyds resume is outstanding. You can pick holes in anybodies resume. Like Sugar Ray Leonard said, Floyd could of competed in any era and had success. Not to mention the fighters you say were not in their prime were all coming off big wins when they fought Floyd. So Floyd is also actually fighting fighters that are actually doing something at the time.

You are entitled to an opinion only. Floyd’s jailhouse stay has nothing to do with who he fought afterwards because he was still the so called P4P fighter, was he not, meaning, he can pick and choose who he feels like fighting? So that’s just an excuse which has no credibility in terms of whom he fought after that period. We’ve all heard the rumors about some of these fighters not wanting to face Floyd when Floyd supposedly asked them to however, that is neither the point of the article nor what I referred to. What is known for a fact is Floyd fought future HOF inductees that were past their prime; when the fights took place is not the argument. The argument is however, he fought them when they were past their prime which is more than probable the reason he won, not exactly the best highlight of a “P4P” fighter career.

I am going to pay to see it but the fact everyone knows floyd will win, i really dont know why I’m going to pay for it.

Your facts are not really facts at all. Guerrero was his mandatory and those 3 fights he had were against highly WBC rated fighters. Yes WBC are crooks but that is why he got the fight. Not to mention he had just gotten out of jail. He tried fighting Oscar, Mosley and Cotto all in their primes which you fail to mention. Oscar and Mosley ignored him and Arum didn’t want Cotto near Floyd. The Gatti fight was just a fight for PPV which basically put Floyd in the PPV market. But of course you fail to mention that either. Floyd has really only had 1 catchweight fight which was against a bigger fighter who actually called him out. Unlike other fighters who call out bigger fighters and have them come down in weight to fight. You really need to fact check your comments.

Interesting how this article, in its dire and desperate attempt to paint Floyd as a phenomenal fighter does not accurately and perhaps intentionally, state other facts, that if applied together with the current article would not cast Floyd in the best possible position. It’s true that Floyd has beaten 20 world champions including some future hall of fame inductees. However, what the article intentionally fails to mention is the future inductees were past their prime including DLH, Mosely, Cotto, Marquez and Gatti. It fails to mention the constant use of a crutch, aka catchweight, to win fights. It’s also fails to mention that Guerrero and Ortiz were really two has-beens who had absolutely no business either fighting at 147 or in Guerrero’s case, Floyd’s gutter attempt to claim supremacy by fighting a fighter simply because he had a belt, or as Floyd’s cheap excuse would have you believe, “he was my mandatory.” Ask yourselves, from the who’s who list, who did Guerrero fight and beat. Prior to Floyd, he beat Berto…whoopee doo, Aydin and Katsidis. The only fighter in the last 12 years who Floyd fought, who was in his prime, was elite and came to fight was Castillo. Since then, the old adage that states, “What have you done for me lately,” applies. To understand Floyd’s career you also would need to understand the types of opponents Floyd fought, which are carefully selected to make Floyd appear better than he actually is. To his credit, yes, I think Floyd has great skills but to his discredit, he has not fought the best at their prime.

Mayweather should’ve taken Kirkland bigger, stronger and relentless mauler. Then stay at 154lbs and call out Gennady at 154lbs. Two easy fights against sluggers who are flat footed with zero defence. Really pissed that Mayweather didn’t take that route.

@Hecdog

Thanks for posting that on every thread — even threads that nothing whatsoever to do with Pacquiao. I guess you regard it as your religious duty.

May I ask you a question?

I don’t mean to get you all hot and bothered with wild fantasies here, but imagine Pacquiao had divorced Jinkee and asked you to be his wife and the mother to his kids. If he got down on one knee and proposed to you — adding that you’d just need to have a sex change — what would say? Would you happily accept, or would you turn him down?

Pac is not the greatest fighter to ever live nor is he even close to that standard.

Posted April 16, 2014 9:46 am

I can say with almost 100% certainty that Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter to ever live. His accomplishments, impact and influence on the sport and the great fighters he defeated leave no doubt in my mind that he is at the top. If you take in all the other factors like amateur experience, quality of trainer and access to quality gyms with quality fighters to work with, Manny is without a doubt the best ever. Can anyone imagine just how much greater Manny would have become if he had been raised in a boxing family like the Mayweathers along with the amateur experience and training in the Untied States. These missing pieces only make Manny Pacquiao stand head and shoulders above all past and present fighters. Manny Pacquiao learned to fight on his own. He became the only 8 division Boxing champion in history. He is at the top, and that accomplishment will never be duplicated again, trust me. A prime Manny Pacquiao had faster hands, better punching power, better agility and movement and more stamina than any fighter in history. If Manny had decided to stay at his best weight(140) that he can still make easily, no one would have ever beaten him. Manny is a miracle man to have stepped up and competed and defeated all those fighters in higher weight classes. Manny Pacquiao pound for pound IMHO is better than SR Robinson, SR Leonard. JC Chavez, H Armstrong, Kostya Tzyu, Tyson, Ali, RJ Junior, F Mayweather and others. Fans all remember Manny’s Reign of Terror as he tore through Barrera, Marquez, Hatton, De La Hoya, Margarito, Cotto, Clottey, Diaz, Mosely and others. His fights were the most action packed and exciting ever. Fans flocked from all over the world just to see him fight. Manny Pacquiao has always fought to make his fans happy. He is a warrior that challenged himself and never ran from anyone. Great fighters like Tyson, Roy Jones, Larry Holmes, Marvin Hagler, JC Chavez, Bradley, James Toney, Lennox Lewis, Roberto Duran and many more boxing legends have continually praised Manny Pacquiao. Fighters from all eras ahve been complimentary of this great iconic legend, and that speaks volumes about Manny Pacquiao the fighter and the man. Boxing fans today are lucky to have seen this once in a life time master piece of a fighter step into the ring and display his brilliance, greatness and unbelievable talent. Manny s more than a Picasso, more than a President, more than prodigy. Manny Pacquiao is boxing. I can still see the beautiful face of Dionesia Pacquiao cheering her son on with all of her passion, emotions and love for her son. She had a cross and her picture of baby Jesus as she was concerned for her son and prayed to God that Manny would not be hurt. There is nothing more touching and beautiful than to see a mother praying for her son and feeling each and every punch as if she was being hit. Manny Pacquiao should be proud to have such a loving and caring mother. Dionesia Pacquiao is a blessed lady to have given birth to the greatest fighter in boxing history. Trust me on this. Manny is the best ever!

To Kid: get off of the Pacquaio trip. It’s over and has been for years. At this point, Pacquaio can’t compete with Mayweather. I usually don’t post such things as this, but it’s boring (and it’s over).

Don’t know why people even mention the Broner fight other than he tries unsuccessfully to copy Floyds style, beating Broner whilst an achievement I would not take away don’t mean what it has been made out to be, I mean he really lost to De Leon and I had him losing to Paulie, good fighters but hardly A-Level.

No doubting his skill level, but it really sucks when you are 100% sure of what is going to happen. Only one man who could possibly beat him.

arum and schaefer both hate each other, because a thief will always hate another thief… because of greed, no one wants to give way. if mayweather loses, showtime, haymon, golden boy also lose this is also true with top rank. the cash cow would be lost therefore resulting to the loss of flowing money! why risk it when you can make money without sacrifcing your cash cow? why is it only now that its just in house fighters going after other in house fighters? because its easier to manipulate and all profit would end up with only one promoter…

Posted April 16, 2014 5:47 am

they don’t want the pacquiao fight because religion is preventing pacquiao from doing evil… arum is also not clean as he appears! for all we know he might have even instructed bradley to give up the fight… in exchange for more money!

why do you think everyone is with haymon? – because sure money and guaranteed future bouts (resulting to even more money) will be given to you in exchange for your willingness to be manipulated…

the sport of boxing is rigged – my prediction, al haymon will advise marcos maidana to take one for the team… maidana will get knocked out to show everyone that mayweather is still the man! boxing at its finest… why do you think everyone wants to be with haymon?

mayweather’s legacy will not be complete without him facing pacquiao! the ball is in mayweather’s court, pacquiao said already said he is up for the challenge. before it was solely about drug testing? pacquiao has already agreed to the drug testing and has taken initiatives to be tested already. More than that he also agreed to getting the lesser slice of the pie… now the latest mayweather excuse is bob arum! when will this stop!?

BREAKIN NEWS. Mikey Garcia is taking Top Rank to court for violating The Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act as they have tried to sign him into an indefinite contract extension, meaning he cannot negotiate with any other company even though his contract should be up February of 2014.

Looks like he wants out and is eyeing possibly a link up with Al Haymon or someone else who can give him the remuneration he feels he’s worth. An overlapping contract like the one he has ties him in indefinitely to Top Rank and contravenes the Reform Act.

I hope he wins the case and the house of cards at Top Rank falls into the dust.

We may then get the fights we truly wish to see.

Before you holler, I despise ODLH and Golden Boy even more. How they can be in charge of Ring Magazine in my eyes is a conflict of interest case, right there!

Strip the powers of Top Rank and Golden Boy and we have a more even playing field.
