Tumbo.., “It was the exact same punch that turned Pacquiao’s lights out just a couple of rounds later.”

Nope!!! They were 2 completely different punches.

The first knockdown was a full length overhand right that Marquez timed perfectly to catch a retreating Pacquiao.. It was a thing of beauty.. The KO shot was a short, straight counter over a vicious cutting with a lead right hook.. You couldn’t possibly time it better or catch a punching opponent at a more perfect angle, or with more leverage, for a shot that short.

It was a master stroke. One of the best punches ever thrown.

“Manny got drop earlier round but that’s it”(?). that’s EVERYthing especially since it was the exact same punch that turned Pacquiao’s* lights out just a couple of rounds later. also, Pacquiao* was ahead by a single point going into the 6th thanks to a KD aided by his big foot stomping on Marquez’s foot and tripping him up. otherwise, Marquez won the 3rd and 4th round big time during which Manny* only narrowly escaped being dropped again; Pacquiao* got the 5th; and there was a lot of activity but no serious punches being landed ion the 6th until Marquez lowered the boom –As He Predicted– for good in the 6th. that’s what actually happened on the fight-night of December 8, 2012. Marquez is Greater for All Time.

Tark: it wasn’t a back and forth slugfest. Manny got drop earlier round but that’s it. Everybody who is watching and witnessing it Pacman is winning the fight big time, by score cards he is winning. I understand the devastating punch and how I see it is a lucky punch that looks devastating. I have not recall any Marquez previous fight with that much power. Marquez BEST devastating punch of his career but not the whole boxing. Pacman vs. Hatton is more devastating than that! Bring on the stretcher fir Hatton. Pacman stand and walk in his way out of the ring. I can’t remember if he gave and interview after the fight not sure but will definitely check on that.

Marquez’s advantage was counting on Pacquiao* to push any perceived advantage of his own. Marquez is another very keen Mfr who understands an opponent’s psyche and can anticipate openings especially when it comes to Pacquiao*. it’s not an overstatement to say that Marquez wrote the pocket guide and provided the cover pix on how to defeat Pacquiao*. it’s pretty simple: circle left, focus on avoiding Pacquiao’s* left, and cock your right-hand in anticipation of leading or countering Pacquiao’s* lunging powerpunches. Marquez successfully shifted from the master boxer and counter-puncher he was in III to the KO-seeking slugger in IV. Pacquiao* was unable to deal with either. Marquez is Greater.

@Mike Tyson.., Vegans can add protein muscle as easily as meat eaters. They have to have a little more expertise on foods and cooking in general.

Soy beans are protein-packed, and incredibly low in fat and cholesterol. Hemp seeds have a very high protein and Omega-3’s content. Pea protein is great and loaded with amino acids.

Beans, legumes, lentils, nuts, seeds, tempeh, tofu, seiten, and other vegan favorites supply great protein – but you also need brown rice, quinoa, potatoes, nut butters, and avocados green leafy veggies, a variety of different colored veggies and fruits to round out your diet.

You need to eat well… but there’s no need to overeat if you want to add some muscle weight — even if you’re a vegan…

They had Pacquiao eating 5 meals a day and he said, “no more” after his 154 fight… He thought all the eating was hurting him. He couldn’t add any more high value weight to his frame by stuffing himself 5 times a day. He went back to 3 moderate meals to loud protests from his strength trainer. He fights at 145 and doesn’t dry out for the weigh-in.

@ Havoc… Pacquiao wasn’t killed so it wasn’t a great punch???

That is easily one of the best punches I’ve ever seen in my life. I was pulling for Pacquiao because I still want to see the May-Pac fight..

It was a gripping back-n-forth momentum swinging battle… They both suffered knockdowns and Pacquiao had a wonderful 5th round… He was pushing his advantage—but I could see Marquez was sitting in the weeds … My thought was, “OH NO, DON’T FOLLOW HIM IN.”

My greatest fear was realized by a cataclysmic right hander. A dramatic and thrilling ending to one of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen. Marquez’s quest to vanquish Pacquiao was over.

Not quite… but by the way Pacquiao pitched forward, for about 5 minutes it seemed like that punch might end Pacquiao’s career… On the slo-mo it looked like Pac’s chin was driven 3 inches into his neck, and the crowd let out a huge collective gasp at the sight.

It was a great punch tumbo I don’t ever doubt that. Marquez would have KO d most welters if not all with that powerful shot. Honestly I was worried if we would ever see him again. That’s why I’m not bothered by the rios fight. He needed to fight someone that was less dangerous to see if he had the hunger anymore. I do hope that he beats Bradley with no doubt what so ever. I know that a fifth fight with Marquez sounds boring but they have a fire that wants to fight eachother, they just match up so well. If PAC can win twice this year which I think he can and dela and arum can sort there problems out which Oscar has shown some interest in doing, sky is the limit next year.

May-Marq IV was an all-time Top-10 KO… Let’s not kid around.

How often do you see the reigning world champion go down on his face, bounce, and stay there like he’s dead for a few minutes???

John Tate did that when he got hit by Mike Weaver… Ingo did it when Patterson nailed him. He didn’t fall on his face but he was dead gone… and Pacquiao when Marquez ripped him.

There’s probably a few more champs who went out like that, but I can’t remember who… You don’t see that a whole lot.. Pacquiao went out many, many years ago from perfect body shots — but he never in his life got clipped on the chin like that.. With the body shot you’re conscious, there’s unbelievable pain, and you can’t move..

With the chin shot you don’t feel a thing… You’re iced, so you don’t even try to break your own fall… I’ve seen guys wake up with a smashed nose because they fell dead on it.

Martinez v. Williams is comparable but not greater. lacks the drama, controversial history, and sustained rivalry of the Marquez v. Pacquiao* bouts but for sheer brutality, it is comparable. Tszyu v. Judah was an intriguing bout but once again, no rivalry and the stakes in terms of ring-legacy is not comparable. Pacquiao* v. Hatton was anti-climactic since Hatton had already lost to Mayweather and it was obvious that his chin could never stand up to Pacquiao’s* punches, which i posted at the time. it was predictable outcome for me and Team Pacquiao*, which is why they confirmed the matchup in the first place. Big Name; Loyal fanba$e; no chance of hurting Pacquiao*; and guaranteed to be hurt every time Pacquiao* landed, which is precisely what happened. anybody counting on Hatton’s chin to carry him to victory was delusional.

Being a vegetarian and gain bulk and musscle? I don’t think so veg don’t have the amount of protein need for bulk, you get more leaner the more you eat veg and excise.

An old article after the Mosley fight:

“Pacquiao looks like he’s starting to slow down as a fighter By Robert Brown: After the May 7th 2011 mega hyped bout against Sugar Shane Mosley, which fizzled out to an anti-climatic and unsatisfying result, it is clear to me, even though Manny Pacquiao coasted to an easy victory against an extremely defensive and often retreating Sugar Shane Mosley, that Pacquiao’s prime has officially passed him by.

For those of you who jump to question this statement all you have to do is look at the trend, and the trend is that Pacquiao has been getting hit more consistently in his most recent fights than he ever had been during his entire career with Freddie Roach, excluding the Hatton fight of course, which is nearly impossible to compare as it only lasted 1 ¾ rounds.

Pacquiao, more noticeably in his fight against Mosley, was unable to throw multiple combinations in consistent bursts like he had done in the past. Some people will say that this was due to the defensive mindset Mosley took into the fight, and I somewhat agree with this. Mosley’s attitude was in part a reason why Pacquiao was not able to dominate in the way he and his team would have liked, however I do believe there is more involved.

Mosley’s style was turning Pacquiao around, making him lunge and reach for his punches, more than any other time in the past five or six years. And an even more worrying factor for Pacquiao was that Mosley was able to easily slip and dodge so many of Pacquiao’s punches, even though Mosley is not considered a great defensive fighter, compared with Mayweather for example, who is a master of defense. I believe Mayweather will be able to turn Pacquiao around and pick him apart fairly easily.

Manny has also appeared to have lost his killer instinct since the De La Hoya fight. Granted his bout with Clottey was destined to go the distance, as Clottey is a resilient fighter who has never been stopped, but in the Margarito fight he could have finished Margarito off, but he quite clearly eased off on the gas when he knew he had the points, and saw Margarito was getting battered which lost him the hunger for the ko.

Again in the Mosley fight there were several opportunities for Pacquiao to step on the gas and go for the kill, but it appeared, at least through my eyes, that Manny had too much respect for Mosley, and therefore passed up many of those opportunities. It wasn’t until Mosley was incorrectly credited with a knock down that Manny fired up and began to land some combinations, but by then the fight was basically over.

Now I’m a huge admirer and a fan of Manny Pacquiao, and of what he has accomplished in the ring over the past 5 ½ years, but I feel that unless Pacquiao can get his killer instinct back, the killer instinct he possessed during the De La Hoya and previous fights, and unless he can stop himself from being turned around in the ring, I’m afraid that the biggest fight of this generation “Mayweather Vs Pacquiao” could be yet another anti-climatic result At the moment from what I saw Mayweather wins easy u.d because if Moseley can turn him and slip his punches Mayweather certainly will, and he will counter with speed and accuracy.

Manny must work on these flaws an rediscover his desire for the ko for this fight to deliver up to and beyond expectations”

Manny Pacquiao’s career thus far has been that of a legend, and arguably the best of all time. If you look at Manny’s up bringing in the sport of boxing, you can see he had no one to guide him for so long. He didn’t have any great experienced trainers to show teach him and he had no great fighters to learn from. Manny Pacquiao was looking to survive in life one day at a time. If he had been dealt the same cards as say a Floyd Mayweather Jr( born into a fighting family and given the opportunity to develop with the best fighters in the world as an amatuer), you can only imagine how much greater Manny would have been. Manny does it on his own natural fighting ability. Freddie Roach has been adding small pieces to the already made fighter. Manny is a natural that has always had amazing speed, power and athleticism. Look at his videos when he was a teenager fighting. He was always a natural puncher. He was fighting men at 15 years of age that were physically more mature and had experience. Forget the losses, he was barely a baby learning to crawl at that stage of his boxing career. Remember, it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish. Manny Pacquiao learned how to fight the hard way through trials and tribulations. He could have quit a long time ago, but he has tremendous character. People that don’t like Manny try to pointing at drugs, Peds or anything else, but Manny was dropping guys at age 15. Some fighters like Pacquiao, Duran, Archie Moore, Tyson were gifted with power. Manny Pacquiao is an incredible fighter that has achieved more than any other fighter in the history of boxing. Outside the boxing ring, he’s even more amazing. You must admire a man that has taken Manny Pacquiao’s path and fought his way to the pinnacle of sports. On April 12, you will see Manny continue to build on his already monumental boxing legacy. Trust me, Manny Pacquiao has done it all. Manny is the best.

This all assumes you’re fit and trim when you start plyometrics… If you’re fat, obviously you may lose weght.

Posted April 2, 2014 4:17 pm

TARK

Mike Tyson.., Martinez is the last guy to use PEDs. When he got the middleweight title shot at Pavlik he started doing tons of plyometric pullups, pushups, and jumps. He needed to become a legitimate middieweight and get a lot stronger.

If your readings for testosterone are within the normal range, you will generally add 10 to 20 pounds of muscle weight from plyometrics — depending on if you’re a welterweight or heavyweight.. If you want to add even more weight to your frame you should find a good strength trainer — or read up on scientific weight training for athletes on the web.

If you want to drop back down one division you drop the plyometrics regimen and just do your regular boxing workout. The added muscle weight will come off in about 6 months, about the same time it took to add it.

Anytime you add muscle and strength, somebody’s going to accuse you of using PEDs… But you could be a vegetarian and add a lot of muscle weight, if you’re 16 to 40 and have normal testosterone levels for a male.

Those with short memories or those that were not on board the Pacquiao express back in 2003-2004 probably don’t recall the intense discussions in the boxing world when Freddie Roach warned the world that something was amiss with the money Pacquiao was getting from then promoter Murad Muhammad.
In 2005, Pacquiao filed suit and the boxing community became fully aware that Roach was spot on in regards to Promotional and Managerial failings in the Pac-Man team. Roach was at the head of protecting his Philippine fighter, even quitting the team at one point.
Missing were the funds to pay his US taxes, diverted by less scrupulous people than the trusting Manny, though this matter was settled in court the cost may have affected Pacquiao’s bottom line, so to that point perhaps money from before that date is not all that correct when reported in the press.
…”It has taken me awhile to come to terms with the fact that I have been cheated by people whom I trusted,” stated Mr. Pacquiao regarding the lawsuit today. “I intend to see this suit to the bitter end so that I can recover every dollar that was stolen from me, as well as help protect other fighters from being taken advantage of by Mr. Muhammad. As for the immediate future, my fans can rest assured that I will be fighting soon, but not with Murad Muhammad or M&M Sports as my promoter. As of today, I have instructed my new management to begin negotiating for my next fight and fights thereafter. I will never fight again for Murad Muhammad and M&M Sports.”

HecDog you should also be concerned that Pac has declined the Vada testing and instead going through with just the testing NSAC is doing which is nothing close to what Vada does.

AUZBOX my friend, you’re right. People better not underestimate Alvarado. He’s a a big, strong durable fighter. My only concern is that there will be no testing for this fight, and that give Ped Man Marquez and Angel Hereida (Ped Supplier to the USA Track and Field team. This is open bar for Ped Man Marquez to come into the ring fully loaded. Bad move by the commission. Ped Man and his camp should never be trusted. How old i she now? 50. Alvarado will pull off the upset and end this cheater for good. Now, on to the great Manny Pacquiao on April 12.

PRINCE: Pacquiao did not lose first time. If he loses 2nd time, then that’s a different fight. We shouldn’t interpolate the results from one fight to the other. Each fight is separate, so the “all or nothing” logic should not apply.

looks like “Rip Van” Chicago Gal has finally awaken from the sustained swoon that Marquez sent him spiraling into after DROPPING Pacquiao* face-first into the ring canvas but even Pacquiao* regained consciousness on the same fight-night(?!). anyway, his multiposting trolling only highlights that blind, hysterical, and Pactarded* worship of St. Manny*. otherwise, Pacquiao* on the precipice. he loses to Bradley and he’s DONE for Good.

Too bad Arum never wanted Pac to fight Floyd. Unfortunately he is doing the same thing with Rios and Ruslan. He doesn’t want him to fight Ruslan but yet Rios says he wants the fight. So all this if the fighter really wants it he can make it happen is bogus when you have a promoter that doesn’t want the fight to happen.

Cotto had that masterful jab popping pretty good too. Cracked Floyd in the nose pretty good with it a few times … so I don’t think he lost too much… He sure as Hell beat the crap out of Cheato in their rematch — proving he was far from shot.

“The drug testing stuff, the feud with Arum… yea, I hate that guy, but it was a plan, a blueprint. The plan was to stay unbeaten, become the biggest star in the sport, and wait for Pac to lose in the meantime. I knew it would happen and it did. Listen it’s not that I was scared of Pac. I’ve been fighting in the ring since I was 2. Its just that I didn’t want to do it. Cotto took a real beating in that fight, he probably didn’t recover for years. It wasn’t something I needed to do, and I didn’t need Pac to help my legacy. I already have my legacy, period.”

This is why you never tell your opponent your fight plan… and if your trainer shoots his mouth off about a KO you’re planning to execute … you fire the stupid SOB.

On the other hand, if Pacquiao was planning to box Marquez all the way, then all their blabbermouthing would have been perfect—to set Marquez up with a lie-in-the-weeds strategy… However, Roach and Pac are such poor actors that JMM realized that all the bragging about a KO win wasn’t sleight of hand… It was the real deal … and he could plan accordingly.

Posted April 1, 2014 10:38 pm

Hecdog

Manny Pacquiao fought the best of his era, and ducked no one. He was voted Fighter of The decade by all the top boxing writers. Mind you, Floyd Mayweather was also in Manny’s decade. Manny is the ONLY 8 time division champion in the history of boxing, and that will never be duplicated. Seriously, Mayweather’s MO is that of a fighter than ran for the money and away from real challenges. Castillo beat him regardless of what the judges said. Look at the compu-box numbers and watch the fight, he lost. De La Hoya beat him also, but a split decision to a guy that was over the hill? And Mosely almost decapitated him. An old fragile over the hill Mosely. Manny would have given Mayweather a beating. Marquez says Manny was faster and stronger. Take away Floyd Mayweather’s speed, and he has nothing. Southpaws gave him fits, can you imagine a faster, stronger, more athletic and agile southpaw power house like Manny fighting Mayweather? The boxing world knows that Floyd was scared and he has admitted that in a round and about way. You’re talking about a fighter that had to sucker punch an opponent to win a fight. Floyd Mayweather is a tarnished fighter that will never stand along side the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Manny’s speed of hand and foot would have had Floyd looking for cover. Manny has more stamina, and can fight in a variety of styles as witnessed against Rios. Boxer, puncher, counter puncher, fight inside, move or punch. Mayweather hit, runs, hits, runs and we saw what happened when he tried to fight with Cotto. he was taking some shots and looked like he was about to cry. Now imagine Manny Pacquiao landing on him. A short night it would have been, but Mayweather will never live down the avoidance of his biggest threat, the legendary, Manny Pacquiao. Manny is the best!

Gentlemen, Manny Pacquiao was beating the life out of Marquez until the lucky Ped Punch landed. You saw the replay, Manny stepped on Ped Man’s intentional foot that was placed in fron, Manny stepped on it and was thrown off balance, Ped Man closed his eyes and it happened. Things happen in boxing. Ped Man Marquez sure didn’t look so buffed against Bradley? Hereida couldn’t get his nutritional mix right this time? Manny leads the series 3-1, and please don’t tell me that Ped Man Marquez won the first one either. The judge already admitted he didn’t know how to score the 3 knockdown round, and made a mistake that cost Pacquiao the victory. I’ve watched all the fights without bias, and Manny Pacquiao clearly won them all, and trust me, I know how to score a fight. Next up, Bradley’s execution.

Biggest fight of Bradley’s life and he decides to do something totally off the wall, something he had never done before except in sparring. What was his excuse for the beating he took from Provodnikov? Forgot to wear liners inside his boxing gloves?

Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao has done it all. From Ghetto to Glory. From Rags to Riches. From the streets of the Philippines to arguably the greatest fighter of all time. No fighter has ever impacted the sport of boxing like Manny Pacquiao. Not Ali, not Robinson, not Tyson, no one. This is a legend that continues to elevate himself with legendary fights. Eight division titles is unimaginable and will never be duplicated. Manny raised the bar for greatness by accomplishing monumental feat. This accomplishment can be related to sending astronauts to the moon on a balloon. It just doesn’t happen, but Manny Pacquiao did it. One might ask the question, why is Manny such a popular iconic figure? The answer is because he’s as genuine a human being as there is. And sometimes when you’re a great human being there are those that are jealous and envious. The Filipino fighting machine has been been nothing but pure entertaining excitement in the boxing ring. Who can forget his rise to fame as he destroyed boxing’s once great fighters. Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Hatton, Margarito, Mosely, De La Hoya and many more. Manny posses some potent power with dazzling foot work, precision accuracy and lighting speed of hands. His boxing is that of a master chess player. One wrong move and you’re done. Don’t think for a second he has lost a step. Trust me when I say that he will devastate Timothy Bradley in their rematch on April 12th. I will be in attendance as I mentioned before, and I will be in my patented Manny Pacquiao attire. The Philippines, New York, Los Angeles and Finally Las Vegas Nevada. Sin City will have it’s sin running for cover as the angleic Manny Pacquiao brings his forces into town. Boxing is struggling to make big fights happen. Manny is always entertaining fans with big fights. They make the headlines. On the other side, we have ESPN type fights like Mayweather vs Maidana, Broner vs Molina and Porter vs Malignaggi where everyone already knows the outcome. This is why boxing needs and pleads for Manny Pacquiao to continue. In Los Angeles earlier today, earthquakes began. This was frightening to experience. The City is somewhat discombobulated. I truly believe that their is a reason for this to happen so suddenly. My belief is that the City of LA does not want Manny Pacquiao to leave town, and it’s showing it’s disapproval by shaking things up. As many witnessed, La was at peace since Manny’s arrival. Other than the normal hysteria Manny Mania produces, the city was well. And I do hope things get better, and LA will not need Manny Pacquiao to nurse it back to good health. Manny is the best.

Pacquiao* v. Hatton was no “rivalry”. it was also v. a glass-chinned Hatton who had already been seriously dinged by the featherfisted Collazo and KO’d by Mayweather. Martinez v. Williams was also no rivalry. Martinez didn’t have the stature of Marquez and not even Williams was as overrated as Pacquiao* was. besides, that’s aNother KO i confidently predicted. no knowledgeable fight-fan was surprised by that outcome. except for Tark. you fanboys are seriously out of your league on this topic.

Posted April 1, 2014 6:24 pm

I rewatched that fight again, 2 times this past weekend. Bradley said unequivocally that he won the fight 8 – 4. Is this kid on something? I re-scored the fight round by round, and the only way Bradley, ties… is if I gave Bradley round 1 & 2. Those 2 rounds could’ve gone either way, as no one fighter really made a mark. But Bradley kind of controlled those two rounds, without really doing much. Either-case if the rounds were close, I gave em to Bradley, regardless how I felt the round actually went or regardless of punch stats. If it was close, I gave it to Bradley.

In the lkater rounds, I gave Bradley 2 of those close rounds as well. Even though I initially scored rounds 7 and 9 for Pacman, it was still close enough, so I gave it to Bradley as well. Even after doing that, the fight was a draw.

Bradley knows he lost that fight, that is why this fight is so important to him. Bradley knows he needs redemption, kindda like what Marquez did. For this fight to go to the decision, would leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. All the pressure’s on Bradley.

He’s a decent enough fighter, with skills, speed… but has that Paulie Malignaggi ‘no power’ thing to contend with.

Papo

I really don’t see why a past decision should influence the result for their rematch…at least in the eye of the judges…after all judges are supposed to be impartial. If Bradley outboxes Pac (and I think he will) and beat him, then he should get the decision regardless of what took place on their first fight.

Although I agree the judges had it wrong by giving Bradley the win, he had nothing to do with that decision. Why would the judges punish Bradley, and create more controversy, if he does in fact wins the fight clearly even if it’s by decision? Two wrongs don’t make one right.

As for the result of this fight, I believe Bradley will beat Pac for a few reasons: First, Bradley learned a bunch from their last encounter and will adjust, while Pac only has one strategy. Second, as with the Marquez fight, I believe Pac is going for the KO against Bradley and I think it’ll be a mistake. Bradley can take a punch, as proven on his fight against Provo and he can box. So in the quest for a KO, Pac will be eating lots of leather. Thirdly, unless Pac has found the fountain of youth, father time is catching up to him and it’ll have an impact on later rounds. Lastly, their first encounter wasn’t as one sided as many here are alluding to. I believe Bradley has what it takes to beat Pac and his determination will be a huge factor.

Bradley didn’t even win last time, but he still got the decision! It is certainly no Mission Impossible for Manny to win this. You can do this, Pacman! Adios, amigos!

The oracle of Delphi

Tark your comment and the conclusion make no sense. Bradley lost the 1st fight, he knows it. Marquez was being beat up by Pac before he timed a perfect shot against a careless Pacman. Pac will deck Bradley much more than Bradley will deck him. It’s that easy.
There will be no 3rd match, no need to. Floyd will continue to duck Pac, who will either fight Marquez, Khan or Providnikov.

Posted April 1, 2014 12:10 pm

TARK

Hecdog.., “Bradley knows full well he’s not going to beat Manny.”

Bradley expects to win all right. He loves the fight in fact.

For one thing he knows his ankles will be in much better condition this time. He’ll be wearing socks… He’ll also be wearing shoes that fit so his ankles don’t roll constantly…

Secondly, he beat the man who knocked Pacquiao into Zu Zu Land with one shot. Tim tasted two (2) super hard shots from Provodnikov and kept his lights on. He almost decked Marquez and was never rocked, floored or hurt.

Thirdly, if you look in the record book he already holds a win over Pacman — while he was fighting one of the worst fights of his life. He knows if he wins this one it’s icing on the cake — and a bitter pill for all the Pactards.

Personally I think Pac will win. I make him a 9:5 favorite. To me, that means Bradley has a fantastic chance to win. He’s a live underdog.

Posted April 1, 2014 11:38 am

Decision

I am a Pacman fan, think he was the best in history, in his prime, 2-3 years ago.

I am hoping that he is back close to his prime, because he will need it against Bradley.

Pacman won the first fight against Bradley, due to him catching most of Bradleys punches, with his gloves. He did not get the decision.

Bradley has really fast hands, and feet, so it will take a magical Manny, to do better than fx Marquez did against Bradley.

I don’t like Bradley, but I fear that he is being underestimated. He is not far from Pacquiao/Mayweather class.

Manny has the advantage of punching power, I hope he will use it to avoid a 12 round decision.

Pacquiao vs Rios; Manny could not get the KO, against a terribly slow and open fighter.

This is a case of “Does Manny want it enough, to train hard enough, and avoid distractions”? I hope so.

Pacquiao*. without a demonstration of breakaway talent Pacquiao* only bolsters the perception that he’s severely outclassed v. Mayweather. another loss (which is likely) buries Pacquiao* at the back of the line with no chance of winning the “Money” sweepstakes that he desperately needs right now.

Timothy Bradley has lost his mind. He continues to run his about about everything and anything to favor him because he knows full well he’s not going to beat Manny. Manny Pacquiao will dominate him and stop him before round 4 or no later than round 9. Bradley really has no idea how to fight a southpaw. He paws with that jab and swings that right hook or over hand right, but he’s not going to be able to deal with the speed of Manny Pacquiao’s punches. Manny will have to use his right hook a lot more to set up that left. There will be no decision in this fight. Trust me on this, Manny Pacquiao will show everyone why he is today’s Pound for Pound King. You will see the fastest hands in boxing throwing punches from all angles and hitting their mark. The quick and fast agile feet will have Bradley off balance and unable to find anything. I also believe Manny will use some sharp uppercuts to bring Bradley over sized head up for that left hand. Manny is just now reaching his peak. Manny has got to be careful of Bradley’s head. He uses that as a weapon often, so Manny has to watch himself. Once Manny hurts Bradley, and he will early, he’s going to surprise a lot of people with his power. Manny is the better athlete that has more speed, power, athleticism, and sooner or later, Bradley will want to fight Manny toe to toe as he did against Provodnikov. As I have mentioned before, no one beats Manny when he is motivated, in shape, focused and the pressure is on. Manny Pacquiao will give the boxing world something to talk about on April 12. Trust me on this, Manny Pacquiao will shock the world. Manny is the best.

HAH!!! … C.J. Ross showed up for the Mayweather-Canelo Fight.. Where she thought Canelo deserved a draw..

You can’t beat that kind of judging for sheer supidity. She was sitting at ringside and missed the fight.

Bradley won more rounds v. Provodnikov. he need feel nothing but pride (with a touch of horror) for the “W” he earned in that bout. Pacquiao’s* benefited from his share of gift-decisions. nice to see the sport self-correct itself. besides, his own fan club elevates expectations to the point that anything less than a KO is simply unacceptable and nobody is interested in watching an inept Pacquiao* as the “boxer” in a matchup. including the judges, apparently.

Bradley wants to get his personal judges and referee in the rematch, so he can cheat once again. Provodnikov beat the hell out of Bradley, left him on the canvas. Pac easily beat Bradley in their first fight but Bradley had his judges and referee, two of Bradley’s judges resigned after the fight.

Bradley has the chin and overall strength to outclass Pacquiao* over 12 rounds and if he improves his counterpunching, i wouldn’t be surprised if he scored a flash-KD. Pacquiao* will be his same, single-fisted, hard-charging self. still dangerous but very beatable. especially the “boxer” version that Marquez powershotted to distraction in III. nonetheless, considering the stakes, i hope that Bradley isn’t robbed by the scorecards. otherwise, as long as Bradley doesn’t get bold or careless, he’ll outclass and outpunch Pacquiao* over 12 rounds.

Havoc

Bradley throw a lot of wild punches with not much power. Pacman, Marquez or Ruslan would land 4 power punches to Bradley’s nuggin and withstood the effect and then Bradley answer back with 10 punches with not much power but connected so in judges card Bradley won the round. So basically Bradley said if you can’t KO him at least you need to Outland him to get the point in the round. Bradley is a type of fighter with tough chin, throw a lot of punches but not a power puncher.

some people think that Bradley’s win over Provodnikov could have gone either way?

Posted April 1, 2014 12:47 am

Paquiao is a more powerful puncher then Bradley. Bradley has scored 1 k.o. in his last 13 fights.

It Tim gets this decision.. If he wins this.. That would be really bad for boxing but great for Tim Bradley … He would be 30-0 with a Mayweather fight looming.. Sometimes the stars line up.

Reporter.., “Bob Foster, why did you appear in that horrible documentary ‘Boxing’s Last Round.’ Didn’t you know how terrible that was? How bad that was for Boxing?”

Bob Foster.., “Yeah.. It was bad for Boxing.. but it was great for Bob Foster.. They paid me real good.. Boxing hasn’t gotten me a title fight and I deserve one — so I’m not too happy with Boxing.”

Maidana is the perfect fighter to defeat Mayweather since Jose Luis Castillo. He has body work, constant jab to the stomach and head , a chin, resilient at giving time he gets hurts and comeback. He is a complete fighter. Last time I seen Maidana fought was against Khan and Victor. I thought about him a brawler. I thought to myself, he is good but he is bot going to far. I give a chance with Broner because of his constant pressure and stamina. But I seen in with different boxing and beautiful jab against Broner a lot power and determination. He destroy Broner to make it a safe match with Molina. He broke Broner confidence, he will break Mayweather concentration and confidence… Continue Reading

Timothy your fight at MGM for the 3 th time better wear 2 stocks, and don’t be surprise if the mat still slow and you can’t keep up with PAC, it’s because PAC faster than you, now you understand?
Truth is PAC faster this time and, Tim will pay.pac will box the pants off Tim. Tim throw lobbing punches straight punches get there faster. Wonder what the excuse will be this time.

“Manny has the same power and Tim has already taken it. ”

he didn’t “take” sh** and was lucy to escape with a gift decision.

This pundit says.., “The conventional wisdom is that Bradley will need to score a KO over Pacquiao to get a decision this time.”

I haven’t heard that a lot.. I don’t believe that at all.

If Bradley scores better and sharper punches in 7 or more rounds he’s likely to get the win. What dick of a judge wouldn’t give it to him??? I mean besides guys like Ken Morita and Tom Kaczmarek — I can see those 2 guys giving Pacquiao the fight if he wins 3 rounds — and loses 4 rounds by less than 8 punches if Pacquiao lands 8 or more shots himself.

They’ll explain that Pacquiao’s fewer punches were harder.

That’s what Kaczmarek said after the May-DLH fight…and Morita said after May-Castillo II when asked about their puzzling scorecards afterwards… okay, there’s a few other really bad judges out there as well.

I actually don’t expect Tim to box as well as all that… but he IS motivated to bring a career effort to this particular fight — so he could surprise us with something unbelievable.

The best news Bradley ever heard was that Pacquiao had a cold.., “HAHAHAHAHA FKN’ GREAT!!!”

Tim is pretty serious about winning because of what the perception was last time — to say nothing of the fact that this is the most important fight of his life, by far.

Tim isn’t a puncher but he wins… He’s one of the most hardcore people out there … He gets down to business.

Get over it, bet you are” forreal” you are off your rockers, and make no sense, Bradley will get the stuffing beaten out of him. Don’t forget to be here on fight, dont hide and disappear when you are proven wrong once again.

Posted March 31, 2014 11:31 pm

Get over it

Bradley is not afraid of Manny nor his power, like I said he already has taken it not only that from Ruslan who hits way harder he gave Tim a concussion. So I don’t think he will be dropping Timothy. Manny hasnt KOed anyone since 09. So no one is afraid of him or his power he didn’t stop Bradley, Marquez or Rios. Only guys he beat are dehydrated fighters or guys coming off losses. Rios was one hand picked SOB. Bradley will expose him no matter how aggressive or how many punches Pacroid throws he is very accessible to counter ala Marquez ala KTFO. Wild punches from different angles leave you open. I onely wished he would have fought Floyd we really would have seen a one sided demolishment of Manny no juice no power.

Posted March 31, 2014 11:11 pm

Pugfan

Bradley should feel that way. after all he is still undefeated. Paquiao must apply constant pressure and cut off the ring and not give Bradley enough time to think to much about what he is doing in there. Paquiao’s hand speed and combination punching may be 2 keys to this bout. Paquiao will have to fight for the entire round each round with out slacking off. I think I like Paquiao by a close but unanimous decision in this bout.

Pacs not Marquez you can use movement to get away hes to fast. Thats why Pac dominated the 1st fight.

MNboxingFAN – Sean

Bradley rips Pacquiao for not knocking Rios out… which… no one knocks Rios out… so what the hell? However Pacquiao’s knock out percentage is way higher than Bradley’s and it’s no surprise Bradley isn’t saying he can knock Manny out. (I think Bradley can, but whatever… it only matters what he thinks) Long story short. Manny wins a decision… Marquez turns down rematch… what’s left for Manny? (I don’t believe Marquez will honor being a mandatory if he beats Alvarado unless it’s Bradley he’ll face.) If Bradley wins he should tell Marquez to shuv it and push for a fight with Mayweather. That’s a fight I want to see!!!

Bradley has little power, outside of headbutting anyway. No way he KOs even today’s Pacman.

I would have had more confidence in Bradley if he had said he was working on his over-hand right which JMM used to KO Manny…

“I will be faster then Pacquiao”?Ok Tim by faster do you mean you will run around the ring faster then Pacquiao, because I’ve yet to meet an opponent who has not been tagged by the telegraphed left hand of Pacquiao.

Chicago once again Manny has the same power and Tim has already taken it. We are sick of the promises they said he would KO him the first time along with Marquez and Rios and he didn’t. So whats next talk is cheap put up or shut up no one is buying he is back until he proves it in the ring not in the media and by these ass clowns like Roach saying he is destroying sparring partners he couldn’t even drop Rios or anyone else since 09.

No more gift decision for Bradley because Pacquiao will knock him out. A second chance for Bradley a rubber match for good pay day.

I can’t see that Manny will be able to K.O. Bradley.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:34 pm

Bradley took Mannys power so getting Koed probably wont happen. Ruslan tagged him good and he kept coming. Manny will have his hands full and I think its mighty arrogant for them to be looking past Bradley and even talking about Marquez 5 or Floyd for that matter. Manny hast dropped anyone since 09. Another lost and he should hang them up and Bradley is one tough SOB so he is not walking all over him Bradley just whopped Marquez who KTFO of Manny so he is flying high…

Manny has got plenty left, I think Tim is going go receive a lot and get stopped in the last 2 rounds.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:24 pm

Tomato Can

I doubt Pacquiao piss the judges off right before the fight like he did last time. I doubt Pac will only fight for 30 seconds per round this time, either…. Tim better keep his chin tucked in if he opts to stand and trade with Pac. Otherwise he might be the one getting knocked out… Both guys have suffered damage since their last fight, but Bradley beat the man who beat the man. That had to be a confidence lifter by its self.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:13 pm

Don’t talk about outbox! Pacman is an offensive machine. Boxing won’t work if you got an offensive fighter with speed and power.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:12 pm

No folks. Bradley wins this comfortably. PAC may rock him one time with a lucky one but Bradley will outbox PAC for the most part of 12 rounds.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:08 pm

Titopa

I scored the first fight 7 to 5 for Pacquiao, it wasn’t nearly as one sided as most say…I saw Pac miss a lot of punches, mainly cause Bradley knows how to move, yes, Bradley lost that fight but I think he gave Pac enough trouble to where he might be able to give him more trouble this time around. Bradley decided to brawl with Provo to prove a point, we saw him box against Marquez and he did well…we’re going to see that version of Bradley on the 12th. My pick. Bradley via SD.

I sense Bradley knows he is in big trouble now. Speed with power punches in bunches, no mercy! What you gonna do now?
