Cheato Trinidud? he hasn’t been seen since he was EXposed and EXecuted by the ATG Hopkins, which resulted in the first of Three (3), Pouty, Unavenged, Post-Loss RetirementS. a boxing record. Btw, are the names of Campas, Oba Carr, Mayorga, Thiam, Troy Waters, Maurice Blocker, Vargas, Reid, Joppy, or Cherifi being mentioned as ATGs? No? then why the F’k would Triniduds’?

“and doesn’t get to hold on for dear life for most of the 12th round.”

Why not? Lomachenko held on for dear life in a lot of rounds.

Looks like I have to make my triumphant return as the dominant Boricua from the Bronx. I hear Tetas Tumbao has been babbling about being Tito being one of the greatest fighters from Puerto Rico. He should be noted as one of them, after BEATING DOWN every significant, undefeated Mexicant put in front of him. From breaking Yory Boy’s nose, to leaving Vargas ass up, nose on the canvas in the 12th round, to making Oscar Dela H0m0 run for 5 rounds of their fight, NOBODY OWNED Mexicants like the Great Taino Warrior Felix “Tito” Trinidad. Any of your Mexican fight fans proud of the ROBBERY committed on Lomachenko should be banned from any boxing site. What Salido received was nothing short of sheer WELFARE. Not only did he LOSE the fight, he was 90lbs overweight for the fight and he also received the “3 Blind Mice” treatment from an obviously paid off official. What a JOKE the State of Texas is. A total, unmitigated JOKE!

And I belive he a better boxer that GGG. Watch the tube guys as GGG fight was called off and arum say Chavez will fight GGG end of the years, who do you pick?”

First you are wrong about when you say ggg dosent like getting hit ,in contrary he showed us he us not worried about getting hit as long as he conects with his combo like in a Stevens fight , second Chavez wasn’t the only guy to floor Martinez my friend , hell I think every opponent on his last 4 or 5 fights did drop Martinez lol.. Like pavlik macklin Williams Murray was ruled a slip and margarito who stoped him early in his carriere …
If Chavez vs ggg happens it’s going to be a great fight but ggg will be too much for Chavez and I think that fight will be the fight that might ruined Chavez physically and mentally because he can take a punch and he will probably will take a lot of punishment that will really hurt his carriere…

TARK

This was not a legitimate win for Salido. With any other referee Salidio doesn’t get away with 20 low blows — and doesn’t get to hold on for dear life for most of the 12th round.

Lomachenko landed more, fairer, and better punches that landed on scoring territory. He nearly had Salido out… He demonstrated better ring generalship and better defense… I don’t get how Salido gets a win out of that.

But Lomachenko has to round out his 12-round skills… His jab and straight left weren’t consistent enough… With 2 pro fights it can’t happen.. He’s got great endurance and toughness, but that doesn’t necessarily make you a 12-round fighter.

It does not surprise me at all the European haters claiming that hitting a fighter on the legs, hips, balls, etc., it fine, not to mention hitting on the break many times. If another referee had done the refereeing, Lomachenko would have won the fight. Even with the worst referee in boxing Laurence Cole, Lomachenko still got a split decision. I find it incredible that Lomachenko could stand all those low blows, hitting on the break, then come back and almost knock Salido out. Laurence Cole is a disgrace……………no fighter should ever allow Cole to referee his fights. Cole was not just an idiot, appeared to be on the take, Cole has been this way for years…………….and his father’s connections?

Cheatin- Hey, te tumbo hates on Tito for sure, but he also put him no. 1 on his list of best PR fighters ever. So I guess he’s got double standards even on his double standards:). Hey, I could go on about Hopkins head butting Tito 28 times. Bottom line, it’s a fight, not a contest. That’s what Lomachenko failed to realize even afterwards when Kellerman asked him about it. I found it amusing that at one point Salido pointed out to Lomachenko a rabbit punch, all the while he’s running him ragged. And either the translator was crap or the dad had no clue how to guide the kid. Amateurs…

Either way from here onwards I’m glad GGG will have a little step up from his previous opponents….time 2 c what he can really do. Lara & Geale would b a harder fight 4 GGG in my opinion. Chavez hits hard but will b there 2 hit all night, the other 2 won’t b.

You SEE what Floyd DID to Ortiz when he cheap shotted Floyd. He SUCKER punched that SUCKER. Thats what WINNERS DO. They find a way to WIN regardess of the circumstances that they are presented with.

te tumbo- agree with all points. If the ref and your opponent allow you to get away with murder, then hey! The weight thing is the biggest offense in my book. Two pounds over is a lot, like he didn’t even try. You know, Salido had an attitude about him at the beginning that looked like pure resignation. When the fight began he was on his back foot and Lomachenko was on him like white on rice (I actually thought, damn this kid can cut the ring!). But then the kid couldn’t pull the trigger and Salido seem to get confidence.

SRMINIMO, your description of the bout has got me promoting Salido to the lofty status of “crafty”. alongside the Lagunas, Pedrozas, and Hopkins’ of the sport for whom testing the boundaries is a standard element of their fight-plans that effectively prolongs their primes. anyway, Salido is an a** for not making weight and is being penalized for it. he also got away with being thuggish last night because he was allowed too and a good veteran fighter knows what to do with all the space Cole was providing to romp around in. I know what Lomachenko was waiting for: Experience. nonetheless, his inexperience resulted in a bunch of desperate clinching and grappling that unfairly stifled the inside game that Salido excels at. it is what it is. Lomachenko got taken to school by a “crafty” veteran pro-fighter, which is what everyone should’ve expected.

Posted March 2, 2014 3:36 pm

Octavius- That’s a good point: Arum underestimated Salido again! In fact, Arum’s clumsy matchmaking has cost him a LOT of money the past few years.

Posted March 2, 2014 3:12 pm

The good news for Lomachenko is that he basically got a taste of every trick in the book last night. Salido hit him low, gave him a couple of head butts for good measure, used shoulders and elbows, overshot the hook and then kept kept the arm over the guy’s head to keep it in place and hit him with the other hand, stepped on his toes… you name it, he did it. Lomachenko did show a decent chin, good conditioning, and some smarts, as he did adapt and do well by the end. But he looked very tentative most of the fight and their fight plan was bad. They needed to jump on Salido, who’s a slow starter, early, keep him at a distance, and he had to get his respect. He did the exact opposite.

Chavez Jr lives off f his father’s name. Yeah he’s tough, but he would get destroyed by any top fighter. Don’t even mention GGG because junior would get killed. This fight last night was between two tough guys that take punches and their fighting style was fan friendly, but to think either guy goes anywhere is ridiculous. Both will eventually end up with a lot of brain damage. Too bad they have no one that looks out for their health. Two guys beating their brains out while the promoters, networks and vultures make money off of them.

Killing Moon The Soothsayer

I’ve seen the fight now…Lomachenko clearly lost in my opinion..Salido was bigger, stronger and smarter for the most part of the fight….Salido should have been warned for low blows in the 3rd round to set the tone of the fight,The warning came in the 8th round which was too late…But Lomachenko isn’t doing anything to making the ref aware of this(Not that it would have mattered)it was a clear home-ref protecting the figther at home but up till the 12th round this fight wasn’t as dirty and corrupt as many here said..

BOTH Salido and Lomachenko tested the boundaries. one because he’s a veteran and the other out of desperation.

OCTAVIUS, this is the first time in 17 years that Salido hasn’t made weight. lending credence to his assertion that his 33-year-old body simply won’t make the weight any more. let’s also not pretend that Salido wasn’t the designated set-up and sacrificial lamb for Lomachenko’s premature coming-out party. i for one am enjoying Siri’s ability to crash another hype-job’s party and based solely on each fighter’s performances last night, Salido is the better pro fighter.

Posted March 2, 2014 1:43 pm

Q, Hopkins’ first pro-fights were at light-heavy, which he Lost. he then conditioned himself to “drain” down to 160lbs to (according to your “silly” logic) target smaller fighters. a testament to Hopkins intense self-discipline. fast-forward 20 years and he is now comfortably defeating super-middles and light-heavies. you’re in danger of becoming the message-board version of Lomachenko with your premature challenges of my veteran logic. did you lose a lot on Lomo last night?

Posted March 2, 2014 1:35 pm

all reffing bungles aside, Lomachenko demonstrated nothing last night that would indicate he’s ready to seriously contend for a title. no power, no body-attack, and barely above-average speed. IMO, there isn’t a single top-10 feather that wouldn’t be favored v. Lomachenko. in fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a line forming to provide Lomachenko with his second pro-loss.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

In several states, the boxing commissions do NOT allow a fighter to come into the ring 20lbs over their weight class.
Too bad the only way Salido was able to eek out a dirty win was by losing his title on the scales, coming in 20lb over weight, and hitting below the belt all night. That incompetent Cole should’ve taken at least two points away from Salido. Salido also would’ve been stopped if he wasn’t holding on for dear life in the last two rounds. So all those complaining about Lomachenko clinching and holding in the early rounds can STFU! Start complaining about Ali’s excessive clinching/ holding throughout his entire career.

I would also like to see ring-card girls be less conservative with what they are wearing. If a boxer can be shirtless, then…

Refs and Judges should also be heavily reviewed after their fight. If there are signs of poor quality, you have to explain yourself, go to a rehab like facility to relearn the proper way of doing things, and if that still doesn’t work…bye bye.

“draining” oneself fight after fight is its own calculated risk that can backfire at any time (e.g., Cotto v. Torres) or not (e.g., Hopkins his entire reign at 160lbs). moreover, its prevalence in boxing is one of the reasons 24-hour weigh-ins were instituted. to make it easier for a fighter to rehydrate to a healthy weight. the common requirement between both systems is making weight at the weigh-in, which Jr. did to his advantage or possibly not.

{End quote}

There is a danger in making weight just like there is a danger in having a fighter make the weight, rehydrate clean, and show up so much heavier than his opponent like we’ve seen in the Gatti-Gamache case.

So in that case, I say the hell with the guy trying to use the weight advantage trick, and secure the security of the fighter doing it right.

Agree with Lomachenko not being good on the inside, over clinching which is supposed to be against the rules, and just isn’t seasoned for the pro ranks on the Championship level.

He should have taken a full year to assimilate into the Pro fight game along with adding an additional Pro Trainer and sparring.

The low blows were bull though. Low blows are different from body-shots mentally because there is no muscle/padding to protect your balls. Sure, there is a steal cup that does the job but mentally, I would say you are not aware of it so its like a mirage of pain that hits you and gives you anxiety.

Octavius and TXC Ranger – Exactly! The entire commission is inept if not corrupt. One is as bad as the other in my opinion. Somebody is going to get seriously hurt or killed in TX.

Posted March 2, 2014 1:00 pm

The New Commissioner

Bring back same day weigh-ins with the allowance of up to 5 pounds over the division weight so that you won’t have to cancel the fight. But if a fighter is over the max limit of that additional allowance, in this case +5, he is deducted heavily for each pound from his pay and the opposing fighter has the option to agree to fight or not. The overall limit for being over, 10 pounds max from the division limit.

Ex: 140 division limit by division rules by contract. Allowance of +5 pounds for same day weigh-in = 145. At 146, start to financially penalize the fighter by 20% of his pay. So by the time he is at 150 lbs, he doesn’t get paid. Once he is over the allowance of weight after penalty, say 11 pounds from the division max limit (and the same day weigh-in max), the fight is automatically canceled and the fighter loses his license for 12 months for a first offense. After all, he just cost a fight and people out of money.
Second offense, two years. Etc.

Salido should be penalized for not even making the official weight, which is odd considering his history(?). is it possible that he didn’t take Lomachenko that seriously? i know that i didn’t. anyway and IMO, this was more of a novelty-bout to begin with and another welcome snub that Salido apparently excels in exploiting. whatever Lomachenko eventually becomes as a pro, Salido owns “W” over him.

for me, all the clenching, low blows, and other fouls only mean one thing: never fight in TX. If the ref is going to allow it, then go for it. All it does is prove, yet again, that the refs in TX are inept.

The one hard thing about going to the body on Salido though is that fact that he ducks his head down and comes forward. That may have through him off his game. Though I didn’t see he his first fight, he did stop the guy on body shots. But he did seem fast enough that he could move around Salido and that was perfect time to hit Salido but he didn’t do it.

what’s up OCTAVIUS? I agree but testing the margins is just an indication of Salido’s pro acumen. the savviest veterans (e.g. B-Hops) will always test a ref’s ability to control a fight. when the ref fails in that job then the affected fighter is supposed to retaliate in kind and force the ref to regulate appropriately. in fact, Salido did his own octopus impression in the final round when he got stunned by one of Lomachenko’s punches. it wasn’t kosher but whatever the ref allows is precisely what pro-veterans will take advantage of. hopefully that is just one of the lessons that Lomachenko took away from this bout.

After hearing his interview Lomanchenko made a fan out of me. Will be looking forward to him fighting again. Though he does need to realize that if a fighter is getting dirty with him he needs to get dirty back if the ref isn’t gonna handle it.

Btw, there was no “weight advantage” once Jr. made the official weight. at that point, his opponents can rehydrate to any weight they want just like Jr. this was a solid win for Jr. v. an opponent that the public demanded he rematch, which he has. when was the first time the likes of Punkuiao* did the same thing?

Btw, WTF was all that grabbing and clinching by Lomachenko whenever a fight seemed ready to break out?!? he should’ve been penalized for all of that “stylistic” b.s. he seemed completely unable to spin and counter Salido, which is what A-list feathers have done to Salido in the past. was Lomachenko so disdainful of Salido that he didn’t even watch film of the guy being defeated? a well-deserved win for Salido and back to the drawing board for Lomachenko. i don’t want to see or hear of this guy again until he strings together 15 straight “Ws”.

te tumbo

Lomachenko fought and lost like an amateur completely out of his depth among the pro-ranks last-night. his pitty-pat flurries and Zero body-attack provided Salido with every opportunity to stick around and grind out real points with constant aggression. it seemed that as early as the second round Salido could tell that Lomachenko was a bit lost and out-of-synch with the rhythm of a pro bout. at which point, Salido gladly obliged and conducted the rhythm of the bout for most of the entire 12 rounds. the veteran Salido demonstrated precisely why amateur hype has little traction in the pros. Lomachenko is exceedingly lucky that he was in v. the featherweight second-string. he would’ve been trampled v. the likes of Garcia, Mares, Gonzalez, even Ponce, Lopez, or Martinez. inexplicable why ANYbody would’ve thought that Lomachenko was poised to enter that tourney. he’s no where near that threshold based on what I saw last night. no power, no body-attack, and his speed looked barely above-average. we’ll now see if he’s got the pro-warrior’s heart to overcome his first loss in only his second bout, which he can blame his promoter and associated shills for. otherwise, it should’ve been obvious that he wasn’t ready and that Salido would make the most of another welcome directed his way.

Killing Moon- Agree on both accounts: they shouldn’t have matched him so tough so soon and he’s not as good, especially defensively, as Rigo.

Posted March 2, 2014 11:19 am

Liver Shot

Lomachenko was not ready for an old vet like Salido. Salido out of shape and looking slow borrowed Bernard Hopkins bag of tricks last night. Low blows, shots to the hips and legs but nothing in the danger zone. Perhaps that is why Referee Cole didn’t warn or take points from him. Either way the young kid learned a lesson that it can get ugly in the ring. Chavez showed a better effort last night but failed to impress. Still very easy to hit, if Vera had any type of power Jr would have been outta there. Vera showed a great chin last night taking some heavy shots and firing right back. Jr vs GGG? GGG will crush Jr in eight rounds. What was that dancing around the ring in the last round. Mexican Fight Card has been revoked.

I am watching the fight now but the low blows don’t look low on the computer. So hard for me to say. But I like the fact that he didn’t make any excuses. That is what a real fighter should be doing. Just accept the loss and move on.

I like Salido, he always comes to fight. That being said, Lomochenko has tons of potential. And unlike most European fighters who I’ve seen lose a fight, he made exactly 0 excuses. How can you not like this kid? He took on a big Orlando Salido in his 2nd pro fight, and never wilted. He got pounded to the body, and absorbed tons of below the belt action. Never retaliated, and kept coming, almost stopping the larger man in the 12th. He accepted his loss with dignity. He may have lost the fight but he’s won a few fans I’ll bet. Well, the fans that are capable of thinking anyway.

Here is an idea if you are not going to make any excuses then don’t make one. Just accept the loss or victory

Whats crazy is people are posting saying he was supposed to tire him out over the first half and then come on in the 2nd half. Salido is a 2nd half fighter. You need to do all your work in the first half and then maintain in the 2nd half.

Raskolnikov

I speak Russian and yes, Loma was incredibly classy and honest for a fighter whose dream just got crushed. I think Salido’s weight advantage plus experience was the difference. It may have been wise for Loma to pull out once it became clear that Saliod had zero intention of even trying to make weight and was going to come in to the ring 19 pounds over the limit. Arturo Gatti had a 19 pound advantage over Gamache, but they were at least welters for that fight…

Posted March 2, 2014 8:33 am

SalidoKing

Loma obviously has skill, but c’mon a record of 1-0 gets a title shot? WTF. This isn’t darts or billiards at a ghey cowboy bar in Wyoming — this is boxing — the hardest sport on earth today.

no clue

Salido is a JOKE … came in looking like a behemoth vs smallish Lomachenko and roughhoused the entire fight … Lomachenko was obviously rattled by all the low blows.. the plan was to scope out the territory until the 6 round and then start putting on pressure… but by the 6th round Lomachenko testicles were squashed and obviously the game plan was FUBAR

Killing Moon The Soothsayer

Remembering I was very surprised at the match-making Lomachenko vs Salido…Even the great Guillermo Rigondeaux had 6 wins in the pro before a attemping a title-run (And he’s the best!) So it seemed crazy that they threw him into the fire with only 1 pro fight…And against a natural bigger and crafty vet. who’ve tasted the fists of Marquez,Gamboa,Lopez and Mikey Garcia…I havn’t seen the fight as of yet…But I can understand that alot of illegal things were going on + Salido came in over the weight-limit…I’ll wait to comment on those things till i’ve seen the fight…But now they need to get on track with building Lomachenko in the pro’s that means he shouldn’t fight another title-fight until he’s atleast 10-1 IMO..And that’s being nice to the kid…He can still be a force in the future with some good match-making..

Judge for yourself,
I see Chavez in control out hitting GGG 4 to 1. Remember it’s not all out sparing, but Chavez left is connecting whenever he wants, and also body hooks, the free wifi prevents me from watching its all as its a higher resolution for wifi, but I see Chavez as able to punch a forwarding GGG all night.
And GGG has shown to not like getting hit, and he might not be able to take a 20 lb heavier punch at fight night. I like both fighter but remember Chavez is the only person to floor martinez I think?
And I belive he a better boxer that GGG. Watch the tube guys as GGG fight was called off and arum say Chavez will fight GGG end of the years, who do you pick?

“Talk about a bad management … It’s like lomo’s management sought the worst possible opponent , dirty , bigger and experienced in his second fight as a pro?” – Cosign Adrian. Lomachenko’s management had an irrational disdain for opponents because they felt his talent was so much higher he’d win no matter what. No thought into stylistic match ups or the dirty tricks veterans like Salido pull when they know they can get away with it.

Posted March 2, 2014 4:03 am

Fight Aficionado

I said weeks ago Top Rank was crazy throwing Lomachenko in a title fight this soon. No matter how talented a prospect is he still needs experience in the pros. Way to derail a top prospect. As for Salido, he’s a proven roids rager who tested positive before and it was a featherweight against a full blown welterweight. He can GTFO.

Posted March 2, 2014 1:28 am

Great effort by Vera but Bryan did not listen to his trainer Ronnie Shields. He didn’t throw body punches like Ronnie told him to. He didn’t stay in the center of the ring like Ronnie told him to. He didn’t lead with the jab, follow with the right and step around like Ronnie told him to–not consistently, anyways.

Still, Bryan is some warrior. Interesting that he says he didn’t know it was a 12-round fight until four days before the fight. Plus, both him and Julio hurt their hands in this fight.

On the other hand, Lomachenko lost tonight, but the kid looked good nonetheless and proved he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Did not see the fight, but I would point out that on fightnews people who are commenting and pointing out what a bad job that Cole did and the dirty fighting that apparently Salido did, have Hispanic last names. ALso the lone judge who felt that Vasyl won was Levi Martinez.
HBO and Showtime, could if they wanted to say they would not televise fights from Texas, but they don’t. Sometimes I feel though the same way that Mexican fighters are given brakes that many other fighters do not get.

Now the weight advantage is the main excuse, some lomo’s fans even claimed that he’d beat Floyd at 140, hahahaha, in your dreams dimwitts.

Posted March 2, 2014 12:12 am

Phantom

That was disgusting.

Steroid cheat Salido deliberately missed the weight so he could come in much heavier against a much naturally smaller 1 fight novice pro (weighing 147lbs which is 7lbs heavier than he’s ever weighed before), not even attempting to try again, and then he proceeded to punch Loma low all night long in full view of the referee who has a track record for corruption and who was clearly intentionally allowing it to go unpunished.

Loma is a clean fighter, almost all of these Eastern European and Central Asians fighters are. All the odds were in Salido’s favor as it was but he still decided to cheat like a mofo on the scales and throw all those low blows

that st1nky sp1c is a dirty che@t on the scales and in the ring. You really just cannot trust Mexican s.c.u.m to act with any kind of honour.

Posted March 2, 2014 12:11 am

lomo

He won’t go far, his style doesn’t fit in the pro-rings. A typical amateur style. You can win olympic medals with that style, but lose to the first Mexican in a pro ring. He did throw a good straight in the 12th round, and the fight was dirty and the ref bad. Still, I don’t like his style.

Hey Boxy, WTF? You said your knowledge ran off guys like iron beach, dude he would regularly kick your butt here. Like Salido whupped Lomachenko. Wrong again

Vasyl is a very talented fighter. I think it was very premature for him to aim for a title shot. A few more fights would have sharpen his skills and get adjusted to pro level. What is done is done.

How many other fighter’s would take on a a rugged guy like Salido, in their 2nd professional fight? And on top of that face a guy who didn’t make weight and came in with 12-15 pound advantage? Loma was up against a very tall task tonight, and he didn’t do half bad considering.

Posted March 2, 2014 12:04 am

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

If it wasn’t for the totally incompetent ref Cole, Lomachenko would’ve won that bout because of all the low blows and the last two rounds. It’s too bad that Salido needed a 20lbs weight advantage in order to get a cheap, dirty win. Salido is no longer the champion in that class.

Posted March 2, 2014 12:04 am

Adrian

Talk about a bad management … It’s like lomo’s management sought the worst possible opponent , dirty , bigger and experienced in his second fight as a pro?

Posted March 2, 2014 12:02 am

Trash ref, trash fight, trash texas boxing.

He needs AMERICAN experience and training. He should have given himself one full year to see how it really is. Amateur boxing is a sport while pro boxing is a fight. Hope he rebounds

ok, second fight world title? Have you seen a Mexican, Puerto Rican, African-american or anybody else get a title fight on his second fight? Bob is desperate making fights that should not happened yet. Lomachenko is an amazing fighter but please follow the path of the greats, take your time. I hate HBO Commentators.

Posted March 2, 2014 12:00 am

Yeah, Lomo just didn’t do enough to win it… let’s not mention the constant low blows and the ref not doing his job, or Texas being notorious for corruption.

Salidos game plan was to punch Lomo in the d1ck a bunch of times and anywhere else below the hips that i could . And when my opponent threw any punches grab his arms to stop him from hitting me !

Posted March 1, 2014 11:58 pm

Turb0-H@mster..

94% of Salidos punches were aimed squarely at his balls.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:57 pm

I wanted Loma to win but he did not do anything the whole fight. His promoter was over ambitious. They should have taken him slowly.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:57 pm

Agree, Lomo did lose. Bit the ref did a horrible job and salido threw to many illegal shots. Lomo clinches to much though and that should be outlawed

Hahaha Lampley is appalled. He’s going to cry in the car. Hahaha Lomo sucks

Posted March 1, 2014 11:56 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Welcome to professional boxing in Texas, America Lomo. Europeans need a KO to win. Good lesson given by Salido in rough housing because the ref let him get away with it. Of course if Lomo had fought in the first half like he did in round 11 and 12 then it wouldn’t of come to this.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:56 pm

Tomato Can

Loma’s is still a very good prospect. This was a risky move. Salido, proved that experience counts for a lot. He had the size, made it a rugged fight. Loma has a lot to learn. At 25, the sky’s still the limit for him.

Sick and tired of this weight gain bull. No more than 5 pounds should be allowed. You dont make weight, you get fined and suspended for 1 year. Fight in your real division

Posted March 1, 2014 11:52 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

In the end Salido cheated due to his weight. The ref was a disgrace and obviously had his money on Salido. Salido hit on the break and after the bell early in the fight. Salido threw low blows all fight. Salido hung on in the last half of the fight. Lomo was holding early. Joke of a ref.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:52 pm

fire texas

Lomo was so worried throughout about being hit low that it messed up his game. He had to dip his body and guard lower than normal and we are talking about testicle pain anxiety. With that, besides fire the ref, LOMO needa a pro trainer and pro sparring

Posted March 1, 2014 11:51 pm

I have a feeling Salido might win. Hope I’m wrong.

10-8 round could have been acceptable with all that holding…

Sal 6-6 Lomo – Massive last round to Lomo. Beat up Salido. For me it ended a draw. 114-114.

Lomachenko, probably doesn’t think body punches matter.

Sal 6-3 Lomo – Salido is roughing up young Lomo and Lomo looks confused. ALso this ref is a joke letting the amount of low blows go through.

If Loma doesn’t bite down & take control with real authority, then he didn’t have it in the first place…Salido’s winning.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:36 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 5-3 Lomo – Massive work rate in that round by Salido. Lomo defends well but it will be the offensive Salido catching the eye rather than the pot shotting by Lomo.

Don’t blame Salido for the low blows, the ref isn’t saying anything even though he clearly sees them.

Lomo is just arm swinging not getting behind his punching and all this running away is not going to help him either. Lomo needs to stay in the pocket use angles to make Salido miss his not doing anything he should be ?

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 4-2 Lomo – Tough round, I give it to Lomo for accuracy again. Salido is doing some good body punching but is missing a lot. Lomo evasiveness is impressive but he still needs to get busier to make sure of the rounds.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:26 pm

The Prince

The veteran Salido is using all the tricks and winning so far.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:24 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 4-1 Lomo – Give that one to Lomo for his accuracy where Salido just seemed to be intent on roughing Lomo up in that round. The 5kg/11lbs is very noticeable.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:22 pm

Cheese Cake In New York

If the fight keeps going like this for another 2/3 rounds , Lomo wont win in fact he could get stopped .

Posted March 1, 2014 11:18 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 4-0 Lomo. Lomo is very accurate and lands usually but Salido is more eyecatching with his work rate and is connecting also. I like Salido body work at the moment. Am I seeing this similar to the rest of you.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:18 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 3-0 Lomo – Salido is just throwing more and connecting more. Lomo threw a nice combo but needs to do it more often. He looks classy but at the moment its all style and no substance.

Lomo needs to let his hands go .

Sal 2-0 Lomo – Salido landed a couple of good shots to body and head in that one. Love Lomo footwork and movement but he needs to throw more.

Posted March 1, 2014 11:10 pm

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Sal 1-0 Lomo. Have to give it to Salido because he threw more punches and lightly connected. Lomo is definitely a thinker. Expect more action in rnd 2.
