I would imagine this fight will be a very tough sell. Maidana has slim to none chance of even being competitive. Khan didn’t deserve it but he would have been competitive, until he got caught flush. Oh well, I will watch it for free on Hbo the following week. It’s a shame. The biggest fight in boxing, Floyd vs Pacman, can’t be made . Absolutely insane.Posted February 26, 2014 12:29 pm

Teflon my friend, the world cares about Manny Pacquiao. What’s there not to like about this man. Just watch for yourself how Canelo vs Angulo and Floyd vs Maidana do numbers wise compared to Manny vs Bradley. Manny’s numbers are going to wipe them both out combined. Trust me on this. Manny is the best! Both guys need their opponents help to gain numbers, but Manny does it all alone. He’ the world wide PPV King, and this fight will add more. And that’s not even counting those that can’t afford to purchase PPV fights. If you count them in, he crushes Floyd. The world comes alive on April 12th, and I’ll be in the arena with a packed crowd of Manny supporters that basically take over Las Vegas, which is by the way Floyd’s home town, but since Manny came on the scene, he’s the adopted son of Las vegas. Manny is the best!Posted February 26, 2014 3:18 am
What color the Fighters are is irrelevant. What happened in the Fight is what’s relevant. And what happened IS that Lara stopped Angulo. Stopping your opponent is GREATER than being dropping him TWICE. Angulo agrees with ME on that.Posted February 26, 2014 2:59 am
Lara didn’t handle him and hit the canvas twice. He didn’t dominate a pure puncher. Angulo never went down. GGG kills lara. I’m starting to think you only care about black fightersPosted February 26, 2014 2:54 am

Floyd should make Broner sit front row for the lesion he is going to give Maidana. Poor Manny always the bridesmaid never the bride. Look for this fight to gross a lot of money because of Chico de Mayo and Maidana is coming off a big win unlike Kahn who never deserved sht. And Manny needs Floyd but Floyd will make 150-200 mil this year without bowing to the likes of a snake like Arum who thought Manny was special now he is stuck on the outside like the rest of the bums begging for a shot I bet he is still kicking himself in the ass for not taking the fight in 09. Top rank sucks.Posted February 26, 2014 1:25 am
The top news of the day is about Manny Pacquiao. The long awaited Movie “MANNY” narrated by the great actor Liam Neeson is set to open in the Philippines on March 12th. I suggest everyone that comments on the ESB site view this inspirational documentary about the ONLY 8 division Boxing Champion in history. I truly believe this will be nominated for Documentary of the year. Manny Pacquiao is a living legend that astounded the sports world when he came on the scene. Today, he is widely considered the greatest fighter of all time. This highly anticipated documentary should be sensational and will open the eyes of those that have never taken the time to learn about this prize fighting warrior. Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao for adding another successful step in his already impressive life and career.Posted February 26, 2014 12:40 am
Horrible, ridiculous article trying to convince smart boxing fans that Maidana is the best option for Mayweather. Once again, Floyd has HUGE advantages in speed, boxing skills, agility, athleticism, experience, reflexes, talent, defense, ring generalship and every aspect of boxing. Alexander beat Maidana fairly easy, Khan beat Maidana and hit him with everything conceivable. And some other unknown guy back in 2009 gave Maidana a boxing lesson. Now, tell me how on earth Maidana has any kind of chance to win this fight. All this after Mr. Coward Mayweather puts out some DUMB pole for his fans, and the fans pick Khan, and still Mayweather makes fools of them all as he goes the opposite way that his fans voted for. Mayweather is making a mockery of this wonderful sport. He has DUCKED everyone that posed a challenge to him. He has obviously ran, hid and left the country just to avoid Manny Pacquiao. This fight will not go the distance, and it will be a replay of Mayweather vs Baldomir or worse, Larry Holmes vs Randall ‘Tex” Cobb. This will follow the massacre of Canelo vs Angulo. These are fights that will see one fighter destroying their limited one dimensional opponents. These fights are not competitive in the least. Once again, the 80′s and 90′s offered great competitive fights pitting the top contenders or champions fighting each other. Today, we have Floyd Mayweather as the model of ducking opposition, lying to his fans, and cherry picking those fights that present no challenge to him due to old age, catch weights, physically drained opponents, one dimensional or inexperience. Fans have been clamoring for Mayweather to fight Manny Pacquiao. He cowardly continues to run. The quality Cuban Erislandy Lara. He doesn’t even think about. GGG, forget about it. In his earlier days,he ran from Kostya Tyzu, Shane Mosely, Oscar De La Hoya, Paul Williams and many others. Floyd Mayweather made some good choices picking his management team. He has made a lot of money. He remains unbeaten in the record books even though he lost to Castillo and an old Oscar De La Hoya. He still is looked at as the DUCKER, DODGER, AVOIDER and most importantly, the man that is plain scared of fighting Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather will not another easy win to earn another padded victory over a tough, but very limited Marcos Maidana. And the only way these types of lower level fights will stop will be when fans stop buying these horrible PPV fights. The under card will undoubtedly be the Main Event. That’s how Haymon and company seem try to convince fans to pay ridiculous amounts of money for these PPV. Don’t buy this PPV if you’re smart. Floyd already had his laugh as he went the opposite way that his fans voted for. Don’t think for a second he won’t be laughing when you pay for next PPV.Posted February 25, 2014 10:00 pm

Golovkin vs Lara is a GREAT matchup. Both guys get to play to their strengths. Golovkin likes to come forward and attack. Lara likes to stay on the back foot and counter. Lara isn’t fast enough to counter Floyd but he’s fast enough to counter Golovkin. That one comes down to who is more SKILLED at their own strength. …Is Golovkin a BETTER attacker than Lara

Nope. That’s a lie Floydiot. Boxing is a negotiation.
Every time Pac agreed to Floyd’s demands, Floyd made new ones. Pac agreed to them all. Now Floyd is dictating who can promote the fight.
Very curious. This issue never came up before.Posted February 25, 2014 6:50 pm
World laughs at Pactards.
Pacroid keeps making his fans look foolish over and over again.
The pactards were a lil’ over-excited when Pacroid was on his PED fueled tear back in 2009 and they began acting out and calling out Mayweather.
Mayweather answered and agreed to fight Pacroid. Mayweather agreed to Pacroids’ choice of glove size, ring size and even a ridiculous $10M per lb overweight penalty, but Pacroid refused Mayweathers’ sole demand that they both submit to random blood testing with hilarious comments “afraid of needles”, “I am superstitious” and ” blood loss makes me weak”.
Egg on the pactards face.
J.M.Marquez would hire Angel Heredia for rematches against Pacroid in 2011 and 2012. The pactards went into a frenzy accusing Marquez of PED use because of his association to Heredia.
Marquez fans countered these accusations as beautifully as Marquez countered Pacroid with that KO punch. Pactards were reminded that yes Marquez did hire a PED cheat for 2 fights, but that Pacroid had worked with PED cheats Justine Fortune and Alex Ariza for 13 years straight and nearly 30 fights. In short, if Marquez was cheating he did so only against another fighter who was on PEDs so the playing field was even and it would not tarnish Marquezs’ career at all. Pacroid on the other hand built his whole career on Fortune and Ariza, tarnishing everything he accomplished from 2001 to present.
Double egg on the pactards faces.
Then for the Marquez/Bradley fight, the pactards went into a frenzy yet again when it was revealed that only Bradley would do the VADA testing and Marquez’ blood testing would be monitored by the NSAC. The pactards said that Marquez’ refusal to do VADA testing was proof that he was juicing.
Recently for the Pacroid/Bradley II fight, it has also been revealed that only Bradley will be doing VADA testing and that Pacroid will be doing testing by the NSAC. To make matters worse it’s not even clear if Pacroid will be blood testing at all. Suddenly the pactards are silent on the issue and VADA is no longer “the best” like they claimed before.
Egg on the pactards faces AGAIN.
Pactards have so much egg on their faces they’re beggining to look like an omellette.Posted February 25, 2014 5:55 pm
Nope. Floyd would give Lara fits. Basically the same style but MUCH FASTER, QUICKER, and BETTER. Lara is mainly a counter puncher. If he wants to sit back and try to counter Floyd he’ll be in for a LONG night because he’s TOO SLOW to counter Floyd. He’s fast enough to counter Canelo and Trout though….IF he goes on the front foot and tries to attack Floyd then he’s giving UP his strength and playing to his own weakness and he’s TOO SLOW there TOO. He’ll be allowing Floyd to play to his own strength which is to counter him….All of these slower Fighters have very slim shots because of Floyd’s SKILL level. Rigo has the BEST shot because he MAY be able to WIN on points due to being more elusive and being able to out QUICK Floyd. IF you can’t out QUICK Floyd then you can FORGET it….Lara can’t DO it.Posted February 25, 2014 5:27 pm
It’s a great thing Ariza is no longer with Pacquiao. The guy did nothing for Rios, who looked very slow and sloppy vs Pacman—and then tested positive for PEDs. Ariza didn’t do a thing for Maidana either, but he always does something weird to get his mug on camera.
These strength trainers always say they’re 100% clean. They use contacts and kickbacks to push their way into somebody’s camp. They’re like an old marine buddy who moved into a guest bedroom who your wife demands you get rid of because he keeps raiding the fridge. You can learn everything about strength training in 2 weeks from reading a few books. It’s not like a strength trainer needs to be standing on the ring apron shoving rags in your face.Posted February 25, 2014 4:57 pm

Lexington, MA my friend. I am a normal everyday working person that admires Manny Pacquiao. His story is one that is intriguing in more way than one. If fans would take the time to read this man’s life story and see where he has come from. I believe everyone that has an open mind and good heart would be applauding and cheering for this humble man. He’s a true model fighter and human being. His biggest success is found outside the squared circle. He gives to those in need. He donates millions of dollars even against his closest friends asking him to be careful with his money, but he knows no other way. He was raised with poverty, and wants to help those that are living in that dark dismal dungeon of poverty. And this not the poverty in the USA, but poverty in a third world country that. Manny is well off today even with his tax issue. He’s walked through the streets of hopelessness as a child, and has reached the pinnacle of sports. He is a modest, humble, respectful, giving, caring person that turns no one away. Look at his fights, and you see the fury that lives deep inside of him. Watch his post fight interview, and you can’t help but like him because he is a real person that never puts on a front for the audience. He never swears, boasts or complains. Manny has true character. Those of us that have children of our own would choose Manny to be their role model. There are still some people that can’t stand to see such a wonderful person. They try and knock him down and are constantly looking to see fault in Manny Pacquiao, and that’s a shame. He is a loyal person to a fault. You then look at a fighter like Floyd Mayweather. Here is a person that is the complete opposite. He brags, boasts, disrespects, swears, brags about his fame, fortune and shows off all his worldly materialistic possessions. This is a man that is empty inside looking to full fill that big empty hole in his heart. He craves attention, for him it’s about me, me, me. His entire character is about one thing and one thing only, MONEY. Manny Pacquiao has worked hard to make himself one of those great successful cross over athletes that connects with people from all over the world. In the USA, he’s one of the most sought after people. You’ll see him on all the sports shows, news stations and every day talk shows. This happens because of who Manny Pacquiao is. He’s well liked by all. Let’s just take a look at some of his accomplishments: Fighter of The Decade, The ONLY 8 division Boxing Champion in history, Cover of TIME Magazine, Platinum Music records, Invited to White House by President Obama, Hit movies world wide, Most sought after athlete by sponsors/companies, CONGRESSMAN of the Philippines, Helped pass a Human trafficking Bill, Successful Model, supports a variety of charities to help the needy. And these are just a few of his accomplishments. I enjoy watching Manny’s career as it unfolds. His next fight vs Timothy Bradley will be memorable, historic and a fight for the ages. Manny Pacquiao is the best!Posted February 25, 2014 1:47 pm

Worst PED cheat in the history of all sports.
There’s 2 interviews on youtube that should make it clear to anyone that Pacroid is a cheat.
ESNewsReporting.com did an interview with Justine Fortune, Pacroid’s S&C coach for 9 years.
When asked about his thoughts on PEDs in boxing Fortune had this to say.
Justine Fortune: “Come on dude, you’re in a sport with money in it, if you’re top 10 in your sport you’re either on it, been on it, or thinking of going on it and if you haven’t you’re a (Explicit) liar. Sometimes the monetary gain outweighs the risk. You need to realize that that’s the way it is, it’s in the game, it’s in everything, it’s in absolutely everything, So stop crying about it, if you’re dumb enough to get caught on it then that’s your (Explicit) fault”
This guy is responsible for what Pacroid has put in his body for 9 years.
Then there’s the Radio Rahim interview with Freddie Roach.
Interviewer: What was your thoughts when you heard that Brandon Rios failed the drug test?
Freddie Roach:” I know he has a new strength coach and I don’t get along with the guy (Alex Ariza) and one of the reasons he doesn’t work with me anymore is because I think he’s a little shady, he used to give Manny a drink everyday before workouts, I asked him what’s in that drink and he would never tell me and I said I need to know because you’re giving it to my fighter and if something goes wrong I’m gonna get the blame, in my opinion he’s shady, he’s with that camp now and it doesn’t surprise me that happened”
Check out the interviews on youtube.
Pacroid could confess on national television and Pactards would still be in denial.Posted February 25, 2014 1:17 pm

Terrible match up that will result in the worst PPV numbers in Floyd’s career as there is a lot of very good competition out there for that PPV money and when it’s yet another extremely boring and completely 1 sided fight, which it will be, then he will lose a lot more of those fans who do buy this PPV in my opinion as i think they are already pissed off at paying 70 dollars for very little entertainment as it is and this 1 will tip them over the edge. At least we have some really good fights and entertainment to look forward to though, with Cotto/Sergio, PAC/Brad, Canelo/Angulo, and especially Froch/Groves, Anyone who knows boxing knows there is nothing to look forward to in a Floyd/Maidana fight and it will be even worse than Guerrero.Posted February 25, 2014 12:36 pm
KIND OF DUMB You make a few good points BUT it seems CLEAR to me that Floyd REALLY wanted Khan, not Maidana. As I predicted, when he/Showtime saw the reaction of the fans he would be forced to shift gears and go back on his own BOGUS poll. NO doubt he wanted Khan. On the other hand Khan looked like novice politician desperately seeking the Prime Minister nomination. Having him vs Broner on the undercard might make the ppv tempting, but… Oh well, peace to all.Posted February 25, 2014 12:35 pm

@ Hecdog. I keep reading you pie-eyed posts and I still can’t decide whether you are being serious, tongue-in-cheek or sheer insane regarding your praise for Pac. Are you for real or just parodying a typical Pac fan? Please, let me know. Otherwise, I have a decent list of medical people you can consult regarding your Pac mania. (it’s outta hand, bro). You raise a point re PPV and Pac. I watched Pac vs Bradley the first time they fought and it was seriously on of the most boring fights I’ve seen for many a long year. Back this up with Pac vs Rios, which was a total waste of everyone’s time and I can’t see how you think that the rematch will be anything but a borefest as the last fight Bradley had with Marquez. Both men are gunshy. I can’t see this doing much for either fighter except getting the W. It will resemble something of a sparring session with neither man being able to hit the other and both men spending vast amounts of the fight out of range and therefore no punches will be exchanged. Hecdog, save your dollars for some med-aid. It will be the best money you have ever spent.Posted February 25, 2014 11:51 am
Time for boxing fans to get smart and not buy this PPV or any other of Mayweathers BS fights. Seriously, Maidana is the most predictable fighter in boxing. He has no chance whatsoever of beating Mayweather. This is the biggest fraud of a fight ever. Floyd makes all of his fans look stupid as they vote for Khan, and Floyd laughs his ass off as he goes the opposite direction and instead picks Maidana. If anyone thinks Maidana has any chance whatsoever, they have some serious issues. Maidana has no defense, horrible feet, no boxing skills, no agility, no reflexes, no gas tank, the man offers nothing, but determination and toughness. This is a beautiful recipe for Floyd Mayweather. I guarantee 1000% that Maidana gets stopped badly. Boxing is letting Mayweather turn the sport into one big joke. You can give Floyd your money if you want to, but I’m not paying a dime. Mr Cherry Picker strikes again. Now, who’s going to pay for this farce?Posted February 25, 2014 11:32 am
Cry-Baby-Giraffe-Bambi-On-Ice Amir “I’m Entitled To Everything” Khan will start whining again soon. How long before he starts talking about wanting Floyd in May 2015? “I’ve taken up the sport of watching paint dry…much more exciting than watching boxing these days”
Sadly, that’s only a small exaggeration.
We know what will happen in this fight: Maidana will keep coming forward, lunging wildly and missing, while Floyd catches him on the way in with right-hand leads.
Floyd by wide UD.
Apart from Froch-Groves, have any other fights been made that people actually want to see? I can’t think of any.
There IS a way to change things:
DON’T BUY ANY FIGHTS UNTIL THEY PUT ON THE ONES WE WANT TO SEE!!
That *would* work, but people are too stupid to do it, and will no doubt keep on throwing away their money to line the pockets of the people and organisations they say they despise. They have no one to blame but themselves.Posted February 25, 2014 10:57 am

Maidana earned the fight. Khan never even tried to earn it. This news is justice for boxing. It was absurd that Khan’s name was even in the discussion to begin with. Khan was just looking for a retirement pay day. Now Khan is in a very bad place, because if he fights any of the top ten welterweights, he’ll get beat. We saw in the Diaz fight that Khan is finished at top level. How angry Khan must be that he couldn’t talk his way into one last big pay day. This is a great day for the sport. The deserving man has got the shot, the undeserving, arrogant and deluded fighter was left out in the cold, rightly so. Expect Khan to offer Lamont Peterson a fight at 147lbs, forcing Peterson to come up in weight (to give Khan the advantage) in Bolton or Sheffield, again to give Khan an advantage, and then assuming Khan edges past Peterson, expect Khan to do exactly what he just did, i.e. he’ll duck any other challenge and remain inactive whilst trying, yet again, to talk his way into a Floyd fight in 2015. Except the moment has gone, Amir. The game is up.Posted February 25, 2014 6:49 am

Ward would take Tripe G to school. I knew Ward was great when he handled Kessler. The fight is was worried about with Ward was against Arthur Abraham, but Dre handled him very wellPosted February 25, 2014 5:06 am
You are kinda dumb!
All you fools complaining about Floyd choosing maidana must have lost your minds- if you ever had any in the fast place. Actually, you probably just don’t know much about boxing! WHY would a fight with Khan a glass jawed clown make more sense than a fight with Maidana who just handily beat Broner a Top fighter ?? Khan has failed to prove that he is anything more than an over-hyped fighter with good boxing skills & fast hands but a shockingly weak chin. He got knocked down by Diaz & only one by two rounds(one judge score 114-113)in that fight. Many at ringside had a draw or win for Diaz!! Maidana on the other hand has the biggest KO percentage in the business outside of GGG! He is relentless and always comes forward(may not be a good thing against Floyd)& is obviously not intimidated by the big stage.. And from a purely financial perspective, you dont have to be Golden Boy to realize that PPV sales for that fight are Wayyyyy more lucrative than a Khan fight. Outside of the UK people don’t think Khan is all that—the last two times we have seen him on US soil he has lost(also barely survived Maidana).
I think i just got a really good compliment from a rabid floyd sack gargler.

imagine if he had faced and beaten prime warpath pacman, beat paul williams, beat sergio martinez, beat danny garcia, beat lara, beat 3g, there would be no debate. what fighter has ever had the chance to make so many SUPER FIGHTS and failed to make even ONE come to fruition?????
Fraud is the biggest failure in boxing to me. Biggest failure at making the best fights happen. Failed in serial fashion. over and over and over. its obviously his objective to avoid these fights. thats whats not a debate. thats the floyd mayweather history and story.

guess its maidana. they never expected him to beat broner. LOL!!!! what ever happened to the old recipe “beat andre berto and get a floyd fight”. you know like oritz and guerrero.

He was not even fighter of the decade. This dude has not accomplished more than pacman. Pacman beat ATG’s morales and BARRERA in MULTIPLE FIGHTS.
pacman in the eyes of most people like dan raphael of espn and those sitting ringside even beat bradley.
pac even beat the guy fraud may dodged ol’ cement hands margarito
pac has better results than floyd in nearly ALL of the bouts in which they have common opponents.
Fraud may has ducked, pacman, sergio martinez, paul williiams, fake retired when his division got the hottest it would ever be. This dude has AVOIDED most all risk and cooked and distilled out and mitigated to the extent he could whatever risk existed in any of his bouts. Example, forcing the catch weight and weight drain on canelo. a 23 year old kid who is far from peak. Coming in overweight for the smaller jmm and even not weighing in fight night.
where floyd should be fighting pacman, martinez, garcia, lara, 3g, bradley, paul williams, heck even trout. he is fighting the guerrero’s and oritz’s of the world. The literal NOTHINGS of boxing. the literal WHERE ARE THEY NOW’S of boxing.!!!!! LOL what a JOKE :)Posted February 25, 2014 4:41 am
Officially BUNK!!!! Officially GARBAGE!!!!!! Officially and insult to boxing!!!!
If you advocate this kind of thing you do a disservice to boxing itself.Posted February 25, 2014 4:32 am
Then you have boxtradamus exclaiming something about all the champs. Again ridiculous tripe from the peanut gallery. This dude has to speak in such vague generalities because to say the names of these opponents out loud incites laughter. Who cares who had trinkets? you wanna dissect floyds opponents in detail and the quality of their scalps? of course a rabid fraud nut gargler does not, because the fraud disintegrates under the scruples of any HALFWAY knowledgeable boxing fan.
We should make a list of the biggest jokes to ever hold a title in boxing. I bet some of floyds opponents make that list.
bradley would smoke maidana as bad as floyd. pac would probably do a better job than both bradley and fraud may put together on maidana. Pac vs Bradley is not LEAGUES above fraud may vs maidana because floyds involved, its LEAGUES above it because its GARBAGE MATCHMAKING and lesss of a boxing match and more of a WWF style entertainment event for those sheep who are entertained by such eye soars as are the average fraud may orchestrated bout.
Certainly, “fight fans”know to tune into pac vs bradley for a “real” fight. tune into the fraud for the fraud. fraud sack garglers you may continue with the sack gargling. That is allPosted February 25, 2014 4:30 am
Floyds ppv’s are like WWF ppv’s. This dudes bouts have become a joke. He even took the fight out of the canelo bout. His dumbA$$ manager ellerbe or whatever his ellerbe’s relation is to the camp went on and on about the catchweight, its effect, and canelos team being inept.
Seriously? The ONLY team that whole catchweight thing looks bad on is floyd. To think they actually wanted canelo to make like 147. LOL @ “the fraud team*”!!!! They ruined that bout, would not accept the fight UNTIL canelo accepted being handicapped.
Of course canelo is gonna take the pay day while he can. Floyd was never gonna stop canelo. He made it so the kid did not have the stamina to make it a fight, to make it a dog fight. This guy is a con. I dont think history is gonna be kind to mayweather at all. The fight game is the fight game whether its mma or boxing. Fighters are measured as fighters as warriors.Posted February 25, 2014 4:22 am

Now, who’s going to pay for this farce?Posted February 25, 2014 3:31 am
I agree with the floyd fight b red but PAC will get it done or atleast he has to, just so we can argue floyd v PAC for another 6 months. I mean what are we all going to fight about if PAC looses lolPosted February 25, 2014 3:24 am
Was there any doubt, khan didn’t really factor into that equation, alot of casual fans are in tune with floyds choice of opponents nowadays more then ever before, pretty hard sell khan. If u want UK ppv why not brook, maybe khan vs Brooke on the undercardPosted February 25, 2014 2:55 am
So what’s the plan now Khan? fight for the Mayweather-Maidana Undercard??:’)Posted February 25, 2014 2:19 am
Auzbox, I have Floyd by Decision or stoppage. I have Bradley winning the fight by decision of stoppage. There both great fights which wll do good ppv buys. I Think Pac will do at least 700 thou minimum and Floyd will do a Mill miminum.Posted February 25, 2014 1:58 am
What a joke… As usual Floyd picks another lead foot, but avoids fleet-footed opponents such as Khan and Pacquiao, LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Floyd thinks Maidana’s slow feet will make it easy to run around and pot shot him to victory… Typical Mayducker.Posted February 25, 2014 1:26 am
Floyd by stoppage in the 11-12 I don’t think Marcos will make the bell. Manny by decision prob majority or split. How about you b red?Posted February 25, 2014 1:23 am
Bears, why are you such a hater? just stick to Grabimir Threads, who you know as the greatest HW of all timePosted February 25, 2014 1:19 am
Auzbox, whatS your picks on the Floyd vs Madonna and Bradley vs Napman? hahahanaPosted February 25, 2014 1:14 am
i told u he would take the latino. its latinos driving these sales up these ppv sales. its hard to say how bradley pac will do. i jope it does well its better than anything and everything and everything floyd has offeredPosted February 25, 2014 1:13 am
There has only been 1 fight anonomous you butt pirate. Manny will do 1 mill with Bradley. All dayPosted February 25, 2014 1:05 am
Wrestlemania HEADLINER Floyd Mayweather !!!!Posted February 25, 2014 1:05 am
And the 450 means nothing. It was out of the states. This fight will be the true test.Posted February 25, 2014 1:04 am
Yes and every since he got KTFO by Marquez so has his ppv sales poor pactards.Posted February 25, 2014 1:04 am
And once again your wrong, PAC and Marquez did 1.1 mill. Do you even watch boxing or just make stuff up. This fight will do better than the first fight. It’s two top p4p guysPosted February 25, 2014 1:02 am
Floyd didn’t do 1 mill with guerroPosted February 25, 2014 1:00 am
Margo was credible, so was Marquez, so was clotty. Clotty is 10 times OrtizPosted February 25, 2014 12:59 am
Azzbox Bradley’s first fight will Manny did 850,000 ppvs. Rios fight he less than 450,000 ppvs his last 5 fights never cracked 1 million guy. That’s why Arum tried to move him out of Vegas to spark more interests but it hasn’t worked yet. Floyd fights have over 1 million ppvs easy. The Canelo bout did 3 million ppvs. He fights on Chico de mayo and the Mexicans will come out it will do over 1.5 million ppvs easy.Posted February 25, 2014 12:59 am
You say cotto was drained, Hopkins fights drained and wins continually. Good fighters win anyway. Just poor excuses by floydoids. Manny has beat 6 undefeated guys to floyds 3.Posted February 25, 2014 12:57 am
Patrick has the beatPosted February 25, 2014 12:56 am
Azzbox what was the last undefeated fighter Manny beat? Better yet the last credible good fighter? Maybe Cotto dehydrated in 09. But what was the last undefeated fighter Manny beat? I bet you have to look way back for that lol…Posted February 25, 2014 12:53 am
Only way it beats PAC v Bradley is with a good undercard not on his ownPosted February 25, 2014 12:53 am
Canelo never had a chance said it from the start. Easy to stay undefeated when he only fought 1 good fighter in trout. Cotto wasn’t scared he wanted history. He beats canelo no worriesPosted February 25, 2014 12:52 am
Azzbox Canelo is such a baby that he was undefeated. I bet Manny wont fight Canelo. Cotto turned him down he is one of the most feared fighters in the game. You moron probabaly was the same ones saying Floyd was scared of Canelo now when Floyd schooled him he was cherry picked? Get off Mannys nuts. Floyd vs. Maidana will be 10 x bigger then the Bradley rematch face it Manny is irrelevant and nothing is changing that.Posted February 25, 2014 12:50 am
Auzbox, whats good my man, whats your pick with Floyd and Maidana, and Pac vs BradleyPosted February 25, 2014 12:49 am
And canelo is a baby. He is no where near his prime yet. I never have him a chance. It was always going to be a unanimous decision . Well should have beenPosted February 25, 2014 12:43 am
Wlad has dominated one division like no other. Look at all his wins, all the fighters have been undefeated or only lost 1,2,3 times. What fighters have floyd beaten in their prime. I don’t hate floyd I like this fightPosted February 25, 2014 12:37 am
seriously dude? what is there to get excited about with this fight? this is LEAGUES beneath pac cs bradley LEAGUES. people really buy that garbage lol @ them
Good comment.Posted February 25, 2014 12:33 am
Its only leagues beneath beause of jus how good floyd is. If it was pac v maidana or bradley v maidana, we would be looking forward to a good fight.Posted February 25, 2014 12:09 am
seriously dude? what is there to get excited about with this fight? this is LEAGUES beneath pac cs bradley LEAGUES. people really buy that garbage lol @ themPosted February 25, 2014 12:05 am
Behind Wlad. looooooooooooooooool. So wlad is a better boxer than floyd. Wlad has more skill? More speed? Better footwork? Better defense? Better offense? Fought better level of opponents? What have u based it on. Please let me know. At least u put him above pacPosted February 24, 2014 11:58 pm
Manny going up 8 divisions has NOTHING to do with floyd. Does that mean u want floyd to fight at 168 “to equal manny”. BE REAL. Garcia, thurman and matthese have a good chance of fighting floyd as they are with GBP. Garcia probably leads this list but even if the fight gets made, they will simply say he is fighting a smaller guy. Mayweather will never satisfy haters. He beat canelo, like it was a sparring session. No one saw that coming and up until that point people said he was scared of canelo. And u still dont answer my question, WHERE DO U RANK FLOYD IN THE P4P LISTPosted February 24, 2014 11:55 pm
Floyd right now #2 behind wladPosted February 24, 2014 11:50 pm
And glad you bought it up. Floyd comes In under weight when fighting at 154. PAC fights at 147 but could be 135 or 140. Shows ballsPosted February 24, 2014 11:48 pm
Manny went up 8 divisions. What’s floyds excuse? I don’t hate him just sick of fights where you know the winner when it’s announced. Thurman, Garcia, mattysse, Bradley. That’s four that are superior to maidanaPosted February 24, 2014 11:47 pm
No he is 2 divisions above floyd. Floyd goes up to fight at 154, that is NOT his natural weight class and he always comes in under weight. You have all proved my point and was not able to mention any other names loool which again highlights his dominance and there is not a single fighter out there where you would have to go up 2 weight classes to get a decent fight. FACT. Its funny how floyd gets criticised for fighting smaller opponents but its fine for GGG to do it when there are guys like ward CALLING him out. The hatred u guys have for floyd blinds you to everything else. Even Lara and Geale has called out GGG any I aint heard anything positive coming back from GGG camp. Lets deal with facts, GGG has not fought anyone dececnt, maybe macklin. If he is seriuos about fighting floyd he needs to drop to 154 and fight lara and canelo to get his name buzzing. For what its worth I think GGG is a good fight but he would still get school by floyd. He cuts off the ring well bt he is still way too slow for floyd and would not have anything more than a punchers chance. O yh answer my question, where do u guys put floyd in the p4p list right now.Posted February 24, 2014 11:44 pm
@ Fight idiot
I remember after chino beat Broner everbody was saying Floyd was to scared to fight him. No all of sudden Chinos is some kind of slow bum, and Mayweather is scared of Khan.Posted February 24, 2014 11:38 pm
@ Fight idiot
So why doesn’t GGG fight Ward….Posted February 24, 2014 11:37 pm
Poor comment. Khan has more fans than maidana. Glad floyd finally picked a fight that the fans wanted even if it was only out of 2 guysPosted February 24, 2014 11:34 pm
People…STOP mentioning Golovkins name. He does not have a big fan club, Golovkin needs to fight Lara, Cotto, Maravilla, and other big names like Chavez Jr, Andre Ward. He needs to raise his stock, then look for a Mayweather fightPosted February 24, 2014 11:25 pm
Talktome: floyd is only 1 division under GGG. Last fight was at 152 for the 154 title. It’s ok for PAC to go up 8 but not floyd 6. Come on be seriousPosted February 24, 2014 11:25 pm
I was just gonna post the same thing mike, you can’t fight at a certain weight and then not expect people to ask for you to fight a certain fighter in that weight class. Yiu go up to fight one fighter in a weight class but won’t fight any other guy because that one certain fighter you did fight you felt you can beat, that’s classic cherry picking. But his fans will say no he doesn’t have to fight ggg he’s to big, but why fight anyone in that weight division at all then…….classic cherry pick there is no way around that twist it how ever you want and that gi es forevery fighter….. man floyd is def. A great money maker ill give him that.Posted February 24, 2014 11:23 pm
Mike Boom Box Jr. III
Golovkin is one weight class above Mayweather. Mayweather is the champ at 154 as well remember. And further more, Golovkin is no bigger than Mayweather’s last opponent. In fact, he’s never weighed as much as Alvarez did for his fight prior to facing Mayweather.
”Size and weight doesn’t win fights, skills does”
But apparently that isn’t the case when it comes to Golovkin. According to the Flomos, he’s too big for Mayweather despite the fact that he’s no bigger than Alvarez. Naturally the Flomos all claim Mayweather would beat Golovkin easily though, but they then go and completely give the game away by kicking up such a monumental fuss and throwing the mother of all hissy fits whenever you dare ask for him to actually prove it in the ring.Posted February 24, 2014 11:14 pm
@ Fight idiot
Hahahahha hahha eat that crow haters.. Lol at Dan RalfielPosted February 24, 2014 11:11 pm
When Floyd is done with Maidana it will be Khan next.Posted February 24, 2014 11:11 pm
Floyd Xylocaine Mayweather
Both AK and Maidana were cherries and FM picked the easier one but who cares……I am not watching this fight.
^all the posts you write w/ that name, ohhhh you’ll be GLUED TO THE PPV. L-I-A-R.Posted February 24, 2014 11:06 pm
To all those people in this forum that call floyd a cherry picker etc, just wondering, where do u place him in the pound for pound rankings right now based on his career and opponents? And who do u want him to face? We know about top rank and golden boy situation do dont say pac. Who else is there. If the next name is GGG, it goes to show the level of dominance floyd has being that the only viable opponent is 2 weight classes above him. There is not another fighter in the world where you would have to go up 2 weight classes just to get an intersting match up. FACT. So my question again to those who say floyd cherry picks, where do u rank floyd in the p4p list and who do u want him to fight next (excluding pac)Posted February 24, 2014 11:01 pm
It’s better than khan. But not a 50/50 fight. Maybe one of the last 3 will be a 50/50 fight. Mayweather will win late. Maidana won’t get off the chair in the 11 or 12Posted February 24, 2014 11:01 pm
You can’t be satisfied if you know Floyd’s talents comes from great cherry picking and demands!!!!Posted February 24, 2014 10:58 pm
Of course these haters will never be satisfied.. thats their job to hate.. floyd wouldnt be who he is without all these hatersPosted February 24, 2014 10:53 pm
WOW! Haters are never satisfied with what mayweather does. No matter who he faces they will always find an excuse to discredit his choice. But, that’s what makes them haters. SMDH!Posted February 24, 2014 10:49 pm
Yeh maidana is the highest rated champ. But there is someone ranked higher than him that isn’t a champ.Posted February 24, 2014 10:48 pm
I know whats going on between top rank and golden Boy Patrick2, but it sounds like most of these guys dont.. sounds like they only watch boxing sometimes cuz I dont see a lot of boxing knowledge posted.. just hating mayweatherPosted February 24, 2014 10:46 pm
Lets say floyd fights who u guys dont consider cherry picking… And then schools them.. what excuse would u have then? Cuz im Sure u will have onePosted February 24, 2014 10:42 pm
Floyd always faces one of the Top 2 CHAMPS available. Tim Bradley is the #1 CHAMP and Maidana is the #2 CHAMP at Welter…..other than Floyd HIMSELF of course.Posted February 24, 2014 10:41 pm
1. Top-10 ranked guys are not tomato cans. 2. Do you know anything about what’s going on between Top Rank and Golden Boy?Posted February 24, 2014 10:40 pm
Did someone just ask Why isnt he fighting ríos!!? R u kidding? Do u even watch boxing faithfully?Posted February 24, 2014 10:39 pm
Patrick2: you said it yourself Floyd beat #2 #6#3… if he is the best he should be fighting all the top fighters. Makes you wonder why it is that he fights different ranking fighters and not the top ones. I tell you why. CHERRY PICKING! That is the result of it.Posted February 24, 2014 10:31 pm
Why did Pac fight Rios?Posted February 24, 2014 10:29 pm
Mayweather has beaten the CUREENT #2 and #5 guy at 154 and the #3 guy at 147. And Maidana is currently ranked #6 at 147.Posted February 24, 2014 10:26 pm
Why isn’t Floyd fighting Rios?Posted February 24, 2014 10:25 pm
floyd really loves the fans, entertaining fight for awhile, probably do about 900 ppv, maybe a thousand if people are stupid enough to buy, definatly will watch the replay a week later cause i think i know whats gonna happen, shame on anyone who buys this, its not that bad of a fight, just not ppvPosted February 24, 2014 10:14 pm
Patrick2- GOOD post!!!Posted February 24, 2014 10:09 pm
That’s what De la Hoya thought but Floyd taught him that he was mistakenPosted February 24, 2014 10:08 pm
If you pick your opponents and demands everything in your favor you certainly win every fight you want.Posted February 24, 2014 10:04 pm
Mayweather is a divisive character outside the ring, but inside the ring there should be no debate. The subtle shifts in pace, the masterful use of angles, the on-the-spot adaptability-this is what boxing at its highest level is all about. To true boxing fans, a Mayweather master class is every bit as entertaining as a two-fisted brawl. Genius is only boring to the poorly-informed and the legitimately dim-witted.Posted February 24, 2014 10:00 pm
@ Havoc — I don’t believe you. You would have simply spouted off about Kahn’s recent performances and ranting about how undeserving he was.Posted February 24, 2014 9:55 pm
Havoc go get you some eyeglasses. Maidana WON every other poll in the World except the Mayweather site poll. That means that someone from Khan’s team hacked into that particular poll and tried to steal the Fight for Khan but Floyd is TOO smart for that. He saw that Khan LOST every other poll SO he listened to the fans and took the majority WINNER and CHAMPION over the glass jawed SISSY. I APPLAUD him on that.Posted February 24, 2014 9:53 pm
Floyd took MY advice just as I predicted!!!!!! I am STILL the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born! !!!!! 11 CHAMPS in his last 13 Fights!! WOW!!!!!Posted February 24, 2014 9:51 pm
Patric2: if Floyd pick Khan then I would say Floyd is a man of his word. Picking the winner of the poll. A lot of boxers and trainers think Khan will give Floyd a problem and I guess that spook Mayweather cause he picked Maidana the losing poll getter.Posted February 24, 2014 9:50 pm
Does it matter when he announces it?Posted February 24, 2014 9:49 pm
Does this getting announced warrant an exclamation point in the headline? No. It was widely expected and the Twitter post is a formality. He should’ve announced it weeks ago.Posted February 24, 2014 9:46 pm
@ Havoc — and if Floyd would have picked Kahn you would have said…?Posted February 24, 2014 9:43 pm
Largo. I’m just get sick of the whining. The haters ONLY want to see him lose. As soon as Floyd dominates a top contender, suddenly the contender is a joke. They don’t appreciate the skill it takes to dominate top-10 fighters. I say sit back and enjoy just how good Floyd is at what he does because he is truly special.Posted February 24, 2014 9:42 pm
Floyd put up a poll and then decide to fight the loser! Cherry picking at its best!!!!!!!Posted February 24, 2014 9:39 pm
10 oz gloves plus random blood testing should be enough for Floyd to demand to neutralize the punching power and chance of Maidana. Bye Ariza!Posted February 24, 2014 9:36 pm
Patrick2 has the beat.Posted February 24, 2014 9:31 pm
@ FXM If he would have went with Kahn you would have said Kahn was undeserving.Posted February 24, 2014 9:30 pm
It really doesn’t matter who Floyd fights: the haters will hate. They said he’d never fight Mosley, Cotto or Canelo — done. IF, big if because of the promotion teams, he were to fight Pacquiao they’d say Pacquiao was never the same after his KO loss. If he were to fight GGG at 154, GGG would be “weight drained and a hype-job”, Bradley would be too “feather-fisted”, D. Garcia too small — only a lt. welter, etc, etc.Posted February 24, 2014 9:29 pm
Floyd Xylocaine Mayweather
To all the Fm fans, you all were asked to vote and the looser got the fight.
I am sure fm fans will find a way to applaude this move too.
Some ppl never learn…Posted February 24, 2014 9:21 pm
Stylistically we all should know Khan is the tougher fight but it would be a hard sell… at least u can say this guy beat “Floyd Jr…Jr”Posted February 24, 2014 9:16 pm
Floyd Xylocaine Mayweather
Both AK and Maidana were cherries and FM picked the easier one but who cares……I am not watching this fight.
Ppl say it’s abetter match up then Pac vs Rios, well Pac was ko’d and in the next fight he took on rios.
FM is p4p ubdefeated and he choose Maidana (a dumb brawler, who gases out)Posted February 24, 2014 9:15 pm
This will be the gatti fight all over again… Maidana has nothing good coming for him but a paycheck… you will see the difference between Floyd and Broner… Maidana’s punches are tooo wide and toooo slow for Mayweather…He has never been hit by anyone as fast and accurate as floyd… Mayweather will sit in the pocket and punish Robert Garcia’s pupil… Mayweather TKO8 MaidanaPosted February 24, 2014 9:14 pm
Lmao .. THis is what he came up with .. Pacqauio Not good enough Haha .. THis dude has never been on PPV !!!Posted February 24, 2014 9:13 pm
It really doesnt matter what we want I guess he derserves the right to pick who he wants.. Ima a boxing fan and still TMTPosted February 24, 2014 9:12 pm

And Boxtra, if he would have picked Kahn instead of Maidana you would have said…?Posted February 24, 2014 9:10 pm
With the war between the promotion teams this is about as good as it can get right now. I think Maidana has gotten a little better over the years and Floyd is always special to watch so I’m tuning in.Posted February 24, 2014 9:09 pm
lol at Floyd. He is a cherry picking fraud after all.Posted February 24, 2014 9:07 pm
A puncher’s chance – maybe he can land something meaningful on Floyd.Posted February 24, 2014 9:05 pm
Maidana or Khan, same outcome unfortunately. People will still get way over excited as will the promotions over-hyped.
More interested what fight Floyd takes next in September..
:/Posted February 24, 2014 9:04 pm
Waste of time. At least khan would of brought something different too the table. Maidana couldn’t knock Khan out n he has no chance in beating Mayweather on points. Think I will save my money.Posted February 24, 2014 9:02 pm
