…. “Kessler a Calzaghe leftover”

Kessler hit Calzaghe a lot harder than he could hit Ward… He was a big favorite and didn’t win a round off Ward … and won at least 2 off JC.

… “The rest of his opponents were bums.”

Including Froch??? Who’s a lot better than punching bag Kessler???

Happy Boy,
I know SOG refers to Ward, but what does it mean?
Regarding Ward fighting GGG, what makes you think he deserves a fight with him?
Ward has a piss poor following GGG a big following, Golovkin great fighter, Ward dreadful fighter. Why on earth would Golovkin want to fight Ward he brings nothing to the table. His resume is very poor, I mean Kessler a Calzaghe leftover, the rest of his opponents have been bums.
Wards fight against Kessler was disgusting, he should have been disqualified, one of the dirtiest ever.
Ward will get ” Good Boyed ” by Gennady.

What an outstanding post by Tier 2 luminary Brother mayweather 86. Thank you for your kind words Brother. As a reward loyalty and generosity you shall be receiving 750,000 ESB ranking points and.. wait for it. A simply sumptuous watercolour of a kettle of lappet-faced vultures in flight circling a rotten hyena carcass somewhere on the African savannah, painted by the deft hand of none other than yours truly, in a 20″x30″ hand carved frame made out of the finest Japanese Honk wood money can by.

Regarding the beef one or two of the hairy-toothed leper heretics scat-pron addicts have with Brother Gonzo, pay them no mind as they’re just disgruntled former victims of mine who are jealous of my skills and the size of my fanbase. They rare up every now and then trying to make a name for themselves by taking shots at the ”best poster in this site’s history”. lol. Brother Gonzo always nonchalantly smacks ’em back down and send them scurrying with their fragile little egos in tatters and their asses p!ssing blood by the bucket load just as quickly as they flare up, though. lol. Notice that not one of them has been able to muster the courage to come at me under their main handles. They only manage to inflate their little rabbit bollocks to man size when they’re hiding behind the anonymity of an alt. ROFL.

Ward has stated he would fight GGG but GGG isn’t ready to move up yet as he shouldn’t. Ward isn’t ready to move up yet either because he wants to make a couple more defenses. He will probably move up next year and go ahead and handle them boys at 175.

Posted February 3, 2014 11:08 am

Happyboy, I find that interesting when Ward doesn’t ever leave LA. And I’ve never heard Ward say anything about fighting GGG, if he did it would be on a world stage interview like a big boxing event interview. That has not happened. Also, Quillen and everyone else has been called out inclusively as Golovkin always says ill fight ANYONE. Ward says: that’s up to my team…Quillen will get kod hard! Rosado was having his way with him before a cut stoppage. The same Rosado that got beaten half to death. Golovkin will change weights for.fights, quillen and ward will not. Don’t guilt the eager fighter with falsehoods and lies.

Ethel – let’s put the Mayweather fight out of our minds as sensible people, that is simply a cheesy ass marketing strategy by team GGG, hell even Bernard wants a piece of the sweep stakes. The question still stands when is GGG gonna fight someone his not suppose to KO? Quillan says his willing, Ward is ready but GGG is talking about WWs. Wonder what Kovalev, Stevenson, Ward would do to him?

I project his next fight to be against Kirkland. If that turns out to be the case, everyone knows not to miss the opening bell or they may miss the fight. Both have chins and power. Kirkland is not saavy enough to miss or roll with punches like Golovkin. I say 2-3 rounds and the ref will have to wave it off because Kirkland’s mindset is that you have to end him to keep him down. I think Golovkin will be able to avoid Kirkland because Stevens is a much faster puncher and GGG had no issues.Kirklands defense is stopping punches with his face. Again, it will look too easy and people will once again, blame Golovkin for fighting a bum (even though Kirkland is not a bum, nor is Macklin or Rosado). GGG will win and Ward will not want to fight nor will Mayweather, but it will be Golovkin’s fault as usual).

The three HBO-approved opponents are: Daniel Geale, Andy Lee and James Kirkland. If GGG’s next fight isn’t with one of the above three fighters it means they refused a fat HBO payday to duck him.

GGG called out Martinez after the fight — again. Expect radio silence in response. GGG’s promoter has already sent out offers to three HBO-approved fighters for April 26. So his next fight should be against a better opponent than last night. Unless these three jerks want to give up career paydays to duck GGG.

Murray is his best opponent right now.

He’s alot better than people realise.

Posted February 2, 2014 4:11 pm

I mean, if they agreed and met at the same weight class, would he really be “little May”? That sounds like we’re talking about someone pathetic/vulnerable and not the #1 lb 4 lb fighter. Is he among the best ever or is he just a little fragile being? Can’t have it both ways people. He either is or isn’t,..choose.

Posted February 2, 2014 2:54 pm

It’s interesting that FMJ has been almost made a victim and titled “little May” even when GGG’s name is brought up in the same sentence. Is he the #1 lb for lb or a victim? I don’t understand how he’s “little May” now. That’s a new one.

Posted February 2, 2014 2:44 pm

@Ike – “they are considering a GGG vs. Andy Lee. … Go after Felix Sturm. Martin Murray turned down an offer to fight GGG, but go back and make another offer.”

I kind’ve agree that they want him undefeated to get the Martinez payday, but Andy Lee was only one of three possible names. The others were Kirkland and Geale. Here’s hoping Geale is chosen, coz he’s one of those “arguably undefeated” type fighters (i.e. only lost 2 decisions and neither was a clear win).
Kirkland looked good in his last outing but he’s been inactive and is lower in weight. Andy Lee already lost to a far more limited pressure fighter, not to mention Golovkin already beat him in the amateurs, so not sure there’s much interest there.

Murray can’t take a fight in the US coz of VISA issues. I was hoping the Monte Carlo fight would’ve been Murray but something odd happened there; not sure what the whole story was. (i.e. we first heard it’d be Murray-Golovkin, then it was Murray on the undercard, then Murray pulled out).

And Sturm wouldn’t go near Golovkin ever. He very blatantly ducked Golovkin for years, so not sure he’d suddenly change his mind now.

I like GGG, he’s a a well polished fighter who can take his opponent out at anytime. I don’t blame him for wanting to fight little may, but there are a lot of fighters. Loser to his natural size that he should be facing.

It’s strange that everyone praises GGG and would like to see him beat up little May, but on the same token if May was fighting the 147 pound fighters at the same level as GGG has been facing, there would be outrage amongst the fans.

Posted February 2, 2014 12:53 pm

GGG is a good fighter and I like watching him fight. I see his promoter’s plan: Keep GGG undefeated and his KO percentage high until Golovkin gets in the ring with Segio Martinez. Still, it’s disappointing to hear that they are considering a GGG vs. Andy Lee. We know who’s going to win that fight. Go after Felix Sturm. Martin Murray turned down an offer to fight GGG, but go back and make another offer. And I know there’s a TV network issue, but you also have to try to make a fight vs. Quillin. Don’t just sit there waiting for a fight with Sergio Martinez. Stop fighting gate-keepers!

Posted February 2, 2014 12:13 pm

Martinez would rather fight a welterweight than GGG, it’s a shame. I guess he really is done after all. This will probably be his last fight.

I think Cleverly backing out of the Junior Makabu fight had more to do with HBO not televising this card.
Not that Makabu, or Cleverly are bigger draws, but it would have been an entertaining way to open the brodcast.
The late sub Makabu wound up fighting was unfit for an espn telecast.
The undercard was just too weak.

GGG isn’t fighting Floyd. His camp already said they’re cleaning out the division and then moving up to 168, and at that weight, Ward will beat him. GGG’s own camp knows Ward is a problem, that’s why when they asked, GGG said himself that he’s not ready for Ward yet. Right now, GGG’s main focus in on Cotto or Sergio Martinez, depending on who wins.

Good evening. Golovkin is a legitimate power hitter. A natural. However his formidable power is aided and abetted by SUPERB balance and punch placement. As Eagle Eye correctly stated African fighters are very resilient, tough and hard to discourage opponents. Gennadys power is legitimate. In someways he reminds me quite a bit of Kostyzu but with a more well rounded arsenal. In terms of balance and proper weight distribution he is very similar to Hall of Fame KO king Julian Jackson. A bout with Sergio Martinez is a logical step. Then perhaps after one or two mandatory brush ups a bout with Andre Ward would be on the horizon. Peace and strength.

There’s nothing wrong with fighting “in just one” division. Moreover, the terms bums and leftovers are being thrown around way too much by fans who never stepped into a ring. If Adama lasted 7 rounds with GGG it doesn’t necessarily mean Gennady was missing a lot, or that he was slow and couldn’t jab. It’s just possible that Adama’s a tough customer; ask Geale. Finally, HBO should be careful. There’s always the chance of GGG vs. Martinez in Argentina, or GGG vs. Sturm in Germany. His image is now at the international level.

Techniques, that depends on Quillin and Martinez, if they refuse to take a fight with him then it is possible that we may never see those fights. Quillin says that the fight can’t happen because of the promotional rift, but that didn’t stop him from calling out Martinez, who also happens to be an HBO fighter. And Sergio, well he’s just not saying anything about Golovkin right now, I’m guessing that he’s a little too preoccupied with cashing out against Cotto. I wouldn’t be surprised if Martinez retires after that fight, and even his promoter said that he didn’t want Sergio to fight Golovkin. My feeling is that the Quillin fight will happen once Peter starts running out of options, like if he loses his title first for instance, but I doubt that we will ever see Martinez fight Golovkin.

Golovkin has fought who exactly?

Doubt Golovkin will be around at the age of 36 and certainly won’t have achieved 1% of Mayweathers dues!

If you want to make a name for yourself, then you make your promoter spend some money.

Golovkin owns a very inferior belt in one weight class having fought nobodies.

Drop or step up if you wanna make some noise but don’t fight the Adama’s and the Macklins of the game think you’ve arrived.

A 7th round stoppage is about what I expected. 7 or 8 rounds, I figured. Golovkin is strong and heavy-handed. He’s very impressive. Adama is a strong African, so for GGG to score multiple knockdowns and bust him up shows the power he has.

Posted February 1, 2014 7:09 pm

Joey, I never thought a fight with Adama would be easy, and that is because I have watched several of his fights. Never underestimate African fighters, they are tough as nails and most importantly, they are fearless. Considering that I’ve never really seen Adama get hurt before, a seven round dismantling with three knockdowns is nothing to scoff at.

When will we ever see another unified & undisputed middleweight champion again? We have not have a unified champ sence Bernard Hopkins back in 2005 and before Hopkins long reign, there had been over 10 years sence Haglers long reign as well. Jermain Taylor takes over the betls and first losing the IBF belt, then the next year he losing the WBA title. So now there where the Lineal & WBC/WBO unified belts left and the same goes on to Kelly Pavlik but when Pavlik loses the crown to Sergio Gabriel Martinez in 2010, Martinez drops the WBO title and here we are today with 4 champions and that is to many for a classic division.

GGG is making a mistake by offering to go to 154… It’s always a mistake to go down in weight if you’ve been fighting at one weight for many years and you feel comfortable there. You think you’ll be strong and fast as ever … but you’re not. I can understand for the money and the prestige of beating Mayweather—but I think a Martinez fight is even more likely.

i.e. Martinez fighting Mayweather at 154. I can smell it coming.

A Floyd-Canelo rematch is impossible… The last fight didn’t live up to the hype. It was like watching paint dry.

Golovkin-Canelo is impossible as well.

Canelo’s people aren’t stupid, they put out a 10 million dollar offer to Cotto and then turned to Angulo instead of Lara—who just routed Trout in super impressive fashion.

Golovkin will fight again in 3 months. He’s staying busy until such time Martinez or Quillin decide to share a ring with him. If 2 years goes by with no fight with them—not likely since he keeps calling them out, and his promoters and team keep calling them out—he’ll go after Ward if he’s still at 168.

GGG got tagged a lot in this fight by an average fighter. Yep he won the fight, but by his own high standards he wasn’t that impressive. He missed with quite a few shots too. Granted you can only beat who’s in front of you, but GGG was very easy to hit tonight, and against a harder hitter he might have struggled.

A fight against Canelo would show where he really is, with the victor getting a(nother) shot at Mayweather. For me, Mayweather makes him miss, and counters him all night, exactly as he did to Canelo.

Maybe GGG just had an off night. But let’s be honest, we all thought he’d deal with Adama a lot quicker and easier than he did.

In Kazakhstan with a Kazakh ref? Because the exact opposite is what King Daddy G would have to contend with and Ward fighting him in Kazahkstan would be a lot farer than the reveres due to G being a clean fighter who uses nothing but skill and power to win fights, whereas Ward is a dirty as a vagrant’s sock and is allowed to break every rule in the book at home, which is a huge factor in his success. GGG beats Floyd Mayweather at 154. Floyd is more skilled than Golovkin in my opinion. However Floyd’s skill level is not superior enough to overcome the difference in strength and punching power that separate the two men. If they were to fight, I would have to look at the odds. If the odds were right, I would be willing to put big big money on Golovkin stopping Mayweather late.

While some view Golovkin calling out Mayweather as a bigger man calling out a smaller man, I don’t see it that way. And the reason why is the fact that I think Golovkin can make 154. In fact Canelo has come in heavier than Golovkin in several fights. Also, if a fighter (Mayweather in this instance) is going to bang on their chest and claim to be a 4 division, or a 5 division, than you must be open to fighting the BEST from that so-called weight division. If you are gonna add such things to your resume, than complaining about “bigger” guys calling someone out is foolish and irrelevant.

Would still prefer GGG to stay at 160 and clean house…I get that he entertains the thought of going down to 154(Because he easily could not a big MW) when the other champs at MW clearly won’t fight him…But would still like a fight of it and I don’t see any of the 154 div having the beard for such a fight…And MW was once a power-div where the best fighters met…And it’s been pretty devoid of fantastic talent the last couple of years masking the decline of Martinez…And the Pavlik vs Abraham fight never happening…There needs to be a big fight in the div soon.

All these pencil-necked, pimply faced, pipe cleaner armed, internet geek boys living their sad and pathetic lives through the websites. why don’t you all grow a pair and leave your pcs behind and actually step into the ring and take a few shots in the kisser? It may just stop you sad fools hallucinating and actually believing you are actually your hero, when in fact you are a nobody, with zero friends, zero talent and zero lives. gonzo is an absolute zero.

Well said Brother.

Floyd fan…been calling for the Golovkin fight for quite awhile now.
Still trying but it’s not going to do any good. Golovkin is no hype job there’s a reason everyone @160 is hiding from him.

GGG – martinez-sturm-geale-quillin . . . anyone of the four 2014

Posted February 1, 2014 5:08 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

King Daddy G just floored a big (huge in fact – he looked like a big super-middleweight) strong middleweight twice with jabs. Those jabs would’ve put Floyd to sleep. ROFL.

Gonzo the Dragonborn

A hype job who has put the fear of God into the Floyd fans. lol. If you guys weren’t worried about him you wouldn’t put so much opposition in the way of a fight between him and Floyd. If it would be so easy for Floyd, then let’s see them fight.

Floyd Money Mayweather

Thanks bobcat, cause I really don’t want to fight GGG, I don’t want to be the next good boy

Posted February 1, 2014 5:02 pm

Bunce said something I actually agree with for once, “Golovkin is like a cat, he stalks you, he takes his time, it’s pretty brutal.” I agree, Golovkin is cold and calculating with very high skill levels, he doesn’t rush in, no wonder he’s avoided. Golovkin is a beast there’s no way Claude Duckfeather’s will fight Golovkin.

You mean like Ward and B-Hop, both of whom are bigger than King Daddy G, calling out Floyd at 160? I don’t see King Daddy G asking for Floyd to move up to his division, King Daddy said he’ll move down to the division Floyd is the current king at. And King Daddy G is no bigger than Canelo. He comes into camp at 167-168 and weighs roughly the same on fight night too. Canelo walks around heavier than G, comes into camp heavier, and has weighed as high as 172, that’s 2lb more than G has ever weighed. lol

Hype job people, hype job GGG. Who has he fought anyway. Give us a break fanatics.

Posted February 1, 2014 4:59 pm

Anonymous please put your balls on before you comment!!!!and as for you GGG pick on someone your own size!!!you cherry picker!

Posted February 1, 2014 4:55 pm

How was fletcher tonight?

Posted February 1, 2014 4:54 pm

Dude needs to call Ward first. If Floyd had called a junior welterweight it would be a travesty. Call people your size please.

Gonzo the Dragonborn

King Daddy G would literally put Floyd in a graveyard as soon as he caught him clean with a half decent shot. And make no mistake he would catch him eventually. A full power King Daddy G shot would wipe Floyd’s ancestry out of existence. lol.

Posted February 1, 2014 4:48 pm

Floyd Money Mayweather

GGG needs to come down to 147,and even then, I might still not fight him. I don’t want to be good-boyed

Posted February 1, 2014 4:48 pm

GGG will be another Canelo..Lol they even have the same style

Posted February 1, 2014 4:47 pm

Mr gav

A brave effort from Adams he still gave it a go even though he was getting hurt but still a lot of credit must be giving to him. GGG is now ready for a unification match hoefully qulin will step up. As for mayweather he won’t be remotely interested in this fight

Floyd Money Mayweather

I don’t want none of that. To scary.

Posted February 1, 2014 4:42 pm

One can make the argument that the ref did stop it a bit early. However I think Adama’s legs were gone at that point. In fact the jab that knocked him down earlier in the round was a testament to just how gone this guys legs were. He absorbed a ton of punishment. Having been knocked down three times, and with legs that were probably gone for the remainder of the night, I think they robbed Golovkin of a highlight reel knockout.

Did King Daddy G just say he’s moving down to 154?? LMFAO. Deal Lord in heaven please make it so. ROFL. The Floyd fans just literally simultaneously just p!ssed and sh-!t their knickers at the same time. ROFL.

Posted February 1, 2014 4:41 pm

The ref stopped it early. I wanted to hurt him more. Sorry guys.

Posted February 1, 2014 4:37 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

And Anonymous is, well, still Mr. Anonymous.

King Daddy Gonzo still got these clowns cowering behind alts and King Daddy G still got the Floyd/Ward stans shaking like a sh-it-ing dog on an artic cold Winter night. ROFL.

The Super Six FINAL between Ward and Froch peaked at 580,000 viewers in Ward’s home country, whereas King Daddy G, with hardly any fan base, barely speaking any English, and in his first year fighting in the US is doing 1.3-1.4 million views. LMFAO.

Good fight? Is watching Nordic fight night…And Adama fight didn’t interest me…

Posted February 1, 2014 4:36 pm

I wonder how good Golovkin is until he is tested. He reminds me of Lucian Bute. He needs to step up and we see who he really is.
