Wow Monte Carlo looks like a nice place to vacation–I mean holiday!

Yep. I would like to see up in headlights. GG vs GGG. Can you imagine the sell. GG the giant slayer who would’ve chopped down King Froch, now stepping up to slay the man who all men fear to step in with. The Saint vs The Dragon, the unbeatable GGG. Groves has all the advantages in height, reach, power, and took the blows from Froch, well why can’t he grow a pair and call out GGG? He’ll get more than an 85-15 split and would do it for England and for St. George! Yes, forget Cobras and shoot for dragons. GG vs GGG is the fight we all wish to see at 168 pounds or is Groves all took and no panties?

“Woop Woop is Sredmond… That’s his thing. Hating on Golovkin, Kovalev, and the K Bros. It’s a broken record.” – TARK may be right about that new screen name. What’s confirmed fact is SRedmond is also Supreme Court. He was caught talking to himself when he forgot to change his screen name. For all we know he actually runs a half dozen screen names at ESB. Must have no life if he has time to screw around like that.

Sergei Kovalev Vs. GGG Thats all I need to know. And that is the only megafight that rivals
anyone that floyd fights and as a matter of fact these two are the most crowd pleasing
fighters out there.

what i’m saying is i really don’t think froch is this big draw anymore (if he ever was). he got embarrased by groves last time out and his stock dropped further after the ridiculous comments he made. no one really wants to see a froch fight right now and the only reason people will tune in for froch vs groves II is to see froch get hammered into oblivion and retired. so, just forget about a froch vs ggg fight no one wants to see it. ggg needs to look for martinez or if cotto beats him, for that belt afterwards run a public campaign naming and shaming anyone who does not want to fight ggg

Thats the point if GGG destroys Froch,Groves,so forth, then why arent these fights being looked at by the GGG team? Nobody can tell me for the right price tag all these guys wouldnt fight GGG.Would Sergio M..Kid Choc…Murray..Froch..Groves…Ward..all not fight GGG for the right payday??I belive GGG better get some better deal makers on his team before he turns into a old man..hes already into his 30s.And still by beating Froch or Ward still would make him to be the best middle aswell,if the others wont fight him.

“froch sucks he should retire he is way beneath ggg”

I wouldn’t say Froch sucks, but he is massively overrated and always has been. Groves will beat him by KO in the rematch. then there will be a third fight of course. Eddie Hearn is no mug he can see the money rolling in for a trilogy. Don’t be surprised if Froch agrees to lose on points to get that third mega fight. Boxing is and always has been corrupt.

As an aside, Golovkin would destroy both Froch and Groves on the same night.

If GGG cant get a top middle then prehaps a top suppermiddle would be the way to go.If hes that good(which I think he is very good)then he should start looking at Ward or Froch, both Im sure would fight him for a nice payday.Cleaning out the middle wt. div. ofcourse is what anyone would want. But if nobody steps-up and he beats Ward or Froch nobody is going to say he isnt the best middlewt. aswell.

Woop Woop is Sredmond… That’s his thing. Hating on Golovkin, Kovalev, and the K Bros. It’s a broken record. Same thing every time. GGG is fighting ghosts, has beens, and some cadaver that Martinez fought.

Yeah, a cadaver who decked Martinez and took him 11 rounds. And couldn’t land a jab or make 3 rounds with GGG… Murray is calling Golovkin out??? Since when is that???

Posted January 31, 2014 3:41 am

Woop Woop, Redmond,
You two are like a record needle stuck in the same groove, endlessly repeating itself.
Please tell us, why is it Golovkins fault that Martinez chose to fight Cotto, Why is it GGG’s fault that Murray has been offered a fight twice and turned both down, amazingly we find him on the Golovkin undercard. Then there’s Geale who gave up a belt to take an easier fight, is that Gennadys’s fault as well.
Sturm and Quillin, Sturm isn’t going anywhere near GGG, and Quillin, well he only wants him after he’s got a fight lined up.
So who would you like to see step up and fight Golovkin?

@whoop comparing wilder to ggg hey man wtf u have to be brain damaged to do that. for one ggg had an extremely long and decorated amateur career with hundreds of fights, wilder not so much.
wilder also has been heavily rocked whenever someone has landed on him whereas ggg has a cast iron chin. get the hell out of here

Woop Woop – Sean Redmond … you are the most childish loser I’ve ever seen online! LOL … there is no limit to your sheer stupidity. LOL … you are without question the most immature loser any website has ever seen. LOL

I will fight GGGG for 20 grand .

Posted January 30, 2014 9:31 pm

@ Woop Woop

Macklin is a top 10 middleweight and I would take his first hand experience and opinion over yours. When did Martinez offer a fight? Geale took the Mundine fight instead and then took the Barker fight, Sturm ducked him for two years, Ward and Froch are at Super Middle. Martinez was offered a fight with GGG but was looking at Cotto and Canelo, one a blown up welter and the other a heavy jr middle. Where is your admonishment of that???

Woop Woop talks out of his poop chute.

GGG is defending a World title for the 9th time, so you would of thought there would of been a few good names for those fights, no one wants to fight him, so he has to keep defending the title, these other fighters need to step up.

Here we go again with GGG fighting a #12 ranked fighter. When will this guy fight someone in the Top 10 at least.” – Name one guy holding a title who is willing to fight him.

That pic looks like Monte Carlo. What a sick place. Mad wealthy and celebs all over. A dude I know went there and said it’s an alternate universe. Dudes ride into town on yachts that have big ass Rolls Royces in them that they drive around town. The parties are straight up rampages. It’s also a tax haven where rich people pay hardly anything. That could explain why GGG fights there when not on HBO.

Woop Woop

Here we go again with GGG fighting a #12 ranked fighter. When will this guy fight someone in the Top 10 at least. He has feasted on blown up Welters and Jnr Middles. He has feasted on broken and rusty fighters. He demolished a Macklin carcass that had already been beaten up and discarded by Sturm and Martinez. There have been plenty of offered challenges out there from Froch, Ward, Geale, Martinez, Murray even an old tough guy like Soliman would fight GGG. Alas, to no avail as he STILL has not managed to find a contract with any of these guys. GGG is a name dropper with no intention to fight anyone with a pulse. GGG is the Wilder of the Middleweight division. Gennady ‘The Illusion’ Gennadyevich ‘Middleweight Wilder’ Golovkin is smoke and mirrors that the suckers are drooling over. Jump off the hype train people, it will be derailed if he ever steps it up. Chooooo Chooooooo!!!!!

For the fifth time now, I’ll try to get my response posted on ESB: It’s obvious from this as well as other interviews that Macklin has first rate intelligence. HBO, ShowTime, or a network should sign him to a career in broadcasting.

Great piece and insight from Mr. Macklin and great to again have these in-depth fighter predicttions. They’re great for the fans and I think for the fighters as well, as we get to see a side of them we seldom do. I had a trainer that would always tell me the most important attribute of a fighter was intelligence, and these pieces really show how smart and analitical top guys are. Peace!

Yeah better than guys like CLeverly and Bellew as pundits for sure… still can’t believe they put those guys on air both far too thick for the job

Posted January 30, 2014 12:45 pm

Most don’t credit GGG’s boxing ability — thinking he’s a one-trick pony — all power, no technique or defense. But that’s not true. GGG boxes very well. Sure, he’s not invincible, but he’s a well-rounded fighter, with huge power. It’s going to take someone really special right now to beat him.

Wow – a fighter who gives honest, thoughtful, articulate commentary – who knew?
