It will happen, will be interesting to see if Ward can stand up to a GGG offensive. Certain people on here think Golovkins record is bad, Wards is hardly better, GGG would knock out all his oponents. Froch no defense, slow, stands in front of you with arms held low, too easy for Golovkin, Kessler the same. So who has wonder boy fought that would give Gennady a good fight, none of them.

GGG was the one that called out Ward. Well actually his trainer did. When Ward said he would be interested GGGs trainer backed off saying they are not moving out of 160 yet. And if or when the fight takes place or negotiations start they want to be on level field when the negotiate. Which will never happen as long as Ward keeps winning.

How will Ward expose Golovkin, he can’t knock him out, he’s a lazy fighter that doesn’t throw a lot of punches, each time he fights he sets new records for the amount of grabbing he does and let’s not forget the fouling.
If Ward is so keen let him challenge GGG at 160 or 164, I really don’t think Ward is that keen, I think GGG beats him up at any weight, provided of course Ward isn’t allowed to spend the night cuddling.

Ward will expose this GGG as just another Joe.

Posted January 16, 2014 1:43 am

Punchkey – nothing is stopping him from challenging Ward or is he gonna claim SOG is ducking him too.

Posted January 16, 2014 1:41 am

GGG needs to take his props and fight Ward if these guys don’t wanna fight him cause fighting bums at 32yrs old and over 6yrs as a pro is not getting him any props from me especially when kids like Canelo and Broner are facing real threats

“Martinez, Sturm and Kid Chocolate are staying away from him…” – Everyone knows this is fact. The only ones who claim otherwise are the dorks who resent that GGG is getting props nowadays.

Posted January 15, 2014 7:07 pm

Gennady Golovkin is the real deal at 160lbs. That’s why the rival champs such as Martinez, Sturm and Kid Chocolate are staying away from him…

Posted January 15, 2014 3:40 pm

@ Happyboy why Ward is not calling any body out?

Posted January 15, 2014 2:31 pm

GGG is a beast. Some folks say he isn’t based on his resume. Hard to argue with that. From what I see, I think he is the beat at 160. I think he beats everybody at 160. I have doubts he could make 154 and moving to 168 is cool but he would have to prove to me that he can do what he does at 160. At 168

GGG is NO Hagler.

Posted January 15, 2014 1:58 pm

Fastest rising @32yrs old, pfft, fight Ward and get served.

Posted January 15, 2014 1:55 pm

@ Teflon.
Maybe you think Brian Vera can kick GGG ass?
The same guy who kick Chaves ass :)

Posted January 15, 2014 1:42 pm

Canelo will beat GGG ass.
Did you just start watching boxing.

Posted January 15, 2014 1:32 pm

Wlad is unified champ? So does Vitaly’s belt default to Wlad?

Posted January 15, 2014 1:07 pm

” Canello beats GGG ”
Not in his wildest dreams!

Adrian must be another Pactard Manny nutt hugger, Like Auzbox, Farm boy, Old Coot and the rest of the Pacnuts…

Posted January 15, 2014 12:33 pm

GGG is a middleweight he is a true 160 lbs, Floyd is 147 even when he fought at 154 he struggled to make the weight. GGG is way too bog besides that he hasnt fought anyone worth talking about its funny how a guy can put on a streak of wins against a bunch of cab drivers then all of a sudden he is the next great thing and can beat Floyd. What a joke. Havent we learned anything from the likes of Ricky Hatton and Adrien Broner about overhyping these guys before they have earned it. And as soon as they get in with a real fighter its lights out… Canelo will beat GGG ass

Adrian everybody does, that is why his name is always brought up you BTICH

I just want to see the Pulev fight… What does Pulev have to do to get somebody to fight him? He’s had one fight in the last 16 months or so.

Posted January 15, 2014 2:15 am

Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, but Ward ran away………..Stevenson said he would fight Ward at 168 lbs. If Ward wants to fight outside his weight class, he can come down to 160 or go up to 175, but he will not. Ward should fight Vladimir Klitschko ASAP, as he said he would easily knock both Vitali and Vlad out, so prove it………..

Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world. Marvin Hagler was a great middleweight, never went up in weight either…………….Golovkin will go up in time, but HBO wants to get the other champions to fight him, but that will be like pulling teeth…………….Vladimir Klitschko, the best heavyweight in the world today will knock Leapai out, then knock out Stiverne or Arreola. I hope Vlad gets to go ahead and knock Wilder out ASAP!

Posted January 15, 2014 1:37 am

Yep, I totally agree 100%.

Posted January 14, 2014 10:43 pm

I have no problem with Golovkin being Fighter of the Year… My FOTY is Sergei Kovalev. The other “champs” at their weight are ducking these 2 guys.

GGG is the best middleweight in my opinion though

Posted January 14, 2014 4:50 pm

GGG has never made 154. Floyd knows that too. Everybody from middleweight to light heavy wants Floyd. Floyd knows that also. How do you know Floyd is great, because everybody wants to fight him

GGG no.1 middlewight in the world.

Sizing up his next opponent at the Globes. Probably be an oompah-loompah or munchkin, they are the right size for GGG as he only ever fights small guys.

Posted January 14, 2014 3:25 pm

Gennady would crush Mayweather at 154lbs. Floyd guesses that too…
