Chavez is a pampered punk… This is the only fight he could or would take… Somebody who’s super easy to beat but kicked his ass going away last time… They had the judging rigged to the gills, and will again.
Chavez Jr cannot beat anyone good. He’s not fighting Dirrell… not fighting Ward… not fighting Rodriguez… Not fighting Froch.
Maybe he could beat Kessler.. That’s about it.. Chavez Jr is a punching bag and I hope Vera beats him again.Posted January 14, 2014 11:12 pm
I hope Chavez comes in shape and knocks this guy out cold.. just sayin’ if he wants the big money fights. SA TX is hot bed for boxing though.. they have outstanding fans down therePosted January 14, 2014 10:28 pm
Even though he is a Texan, Vera might find out how other fighters feel when they go to fight in Texas.Posted January 14, 2014 10:20 pm
If Jr cares about his career at all he’ll come in great shape and win this rematch. He lost the first time obv.Posted January 14, 2014 9:29 pm
A well deserved rematch for Vera! Hopefully Chavez Jr. will take the first Vera fight as an eye-opener to get serious about his career! He was given so much earlier in his career, but now he’s coming off of a Hellish year and he’s now gonna have to earn his success the hard way.Posted January 14, 2014 9:24 pm
Chavez, possibly the most protected/manufactured fighter in modern day boxing history…Posted January 14, 2014 5:26 pm
@PSY – Yeah and we all know why he made that money……Can anyone say, Chavez SR?Posted January 14, 2014 4:52 pm
Vera was robbedPosted January 14, 2014 2:21 pm
@ TheBest!: are you sure about that? Chavez’s job has earned him fortunes, so I’d say it worked it quite well for him.
I hope Vera gives Chavez a thrashing all the same.Posted January 14, 2014 10:11 am
Chihuahuas De Messyhoe
Atleast they’re not crazy enough to make this a PPV fight like Cinnabum vs Walking Dead Angulo…

Amen broPosted January 14, 2014 9:06 am
Vera should win this one but will get robbed again. There is no way to win against Chavez Jr. except by TKO or shutout like Martinez did — if there’s room for him to win a few rounds — they will automatically give him the fight because he’s protected.Posted January 14, 2014 3:31 am
Chavez Jr. needs to look for another job, because its obvious that boxing just aint working.Posted January 13, 2014 10:57 pm
Texas? Well, to me it means that Vera loses unless he knocks Chavez cold.Posted January 13, 2014 10:44 pm
Maybe he won’t fair well, but he’ll get an extra quarter mill and he can always drop back to middleweight.Posted January 13, 2014 10:41 pm
Vera got robbed in their first fight. Plus, they messed around with weight requirements. Even with the weight advantage Chavez couldn’t beat Vera. In their second fight though, I don’t think Vera will fair so well.Posted January 13, 2014 10:36 pm
glad I dumped HBO, besides maher.Posted January 13, 2014 10:29 pm
