Ole ” Fair but Firm or was it Firm but Fair Cotez had his way of giving the promoters fighter every advantage. Hatton gave Mayweather a tough fight untiil he got clipped. Hatton fought Mayweather the way you have the best chance to beat him. Canelo tried to out box Mayweather – what was his corner thinking?

Robert Guerrero is a dog opponent… May made up for it with Canelo.

Record PPV revenues… Record live gate and payday for any boxer in history.

According to Nevada State Athletic Commission records, all five of Mayweather’s fights between the start of 2009 and mid-2013 (against Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz, Miguel Cotto, and Robert Guerrero) were contested in front of EMPTY seats. Even with 1,459 complimentary tickets being given away, there were 139 EMPTY seats for Mayweather-Guerrero. More troubling were credible reports that Mayweather-Guerrero registered only 850,000 pay-per-view buys.

–“What’s this fight going to do for my legacy?” Floyd asked before squaring off against Ricky Hatton two-and-a-half years ago. “I got no fake answer. It’s not going to do nothing for my legacy. I’m fighting because I’m a business man. I’m like Bob Barker. ‘Come on down.’ If the price is right, let’s make it happen.”

– I think the money would be good with Pacquioa, dont ya?

–“Thereafter, Ellerbe stated publicly that the Alvarez camp had begun the negotiations with an offer to fight at a catchweight and declared, “His management is inept. We take advantage of those kinds of things. They suggested it. Why would we say no and do something different. They put him at a disadvantage, his management did. It wasn’t that Floyd asked for a catchweight because, absolutely, that did not happen. Floyd would have fought him regardless. His management put that out there. So if you have an idiot manager, that’s what it is.”

The Alvarez camp responded by saying that Ellerbe was lying.

“Why would I give up weight?” Canelo asked rhetorically. “I’m the 154-pound champion. When the negotiations started, they wanted me to go down to 147, then 150, then 151, finally 152. I said I’d do it to make the fight. But it’s not right that they’re lying about it. I don’t want to fight two pounds below the weight class, but it was the only way I could get the fight.”

“Being the A-side is about having leverage,” Ellerbe fired back. “We’re always going to put every opponent at a disadvantage if we can.”

MJames is correct. Khan’s not in discussions for any fight but Floyd. Cash out with a multi million $ payday, game over.

Posted December 27, 2013 2:54 pm

Has anyone realised that Khan is actually retired and just holding on for a fight with Floyd? If he can’t get a Floyd fight, Khan won’t fight again. If Khan has to wait until September 2014 for a Floyd fight, he will wait and will not fight anybody else in the meantime. If he does get the Floyd fight, he will quit immediately afterwards. All Khan wants is the pay day. Khan is a joke. He doesn’t deserve a shot at FMJ and should earn the chance by beating good welterweights first.

Now that is a fight Floyd should never take. Lara is a very skilled boxer, punches hard and moves a lot. He’s the only boxer I believe can beat Floyd. Forget Pacman, with Floyd’s movement, he won’t land many punches, and will be rocked by lead right hands all night. Forget Maidana, he’s too slow and doesn’t have a good balance. Amir will give a good account of himself for six rounds until Floyd makes adjustments, and then knocks him out late. Lara is the man, unfortunately, I doubt he is on that level to be a Mayweather opponent. Do enough Casual boxing fans know who he is?

About Floyd ? Ok in order for manny to get the Floyd he has to play along, Floyd is old school boxer, floyd want to get you angry first, he testing manny now, if manny don’t play along he will not get the fight forever.

Why? Floyd, and Martinez does the same both leave the left hand low slugger or angry fighter forget about watching it lift and avoiding it or blocking it, if they can get you angry they will look good all night popping you silty the left and ots set up the ko right.
And if you are angry he will get you more angry during the fight and go head hunting.

A cool boxer is a no fighting oponate for Floyd as that mean it’s a long night, see the same for martinez, boxer give him trouble, cotto a better boxer that Martinez he win.

Edgar Guevara…, There was no long count with Tyson-Douglas… There’s only the referee’s count.. Fast or slow, that’s the count the boxer goes by.. Douglas wasn’t hurt at all, and if you look at the slo mo you see the punch hit Douglas in the chest and then the chin.. It wasn’t a devastating punch and just caught the super chinny Douglas by surprise.. But Douglas was watching the count and new the round was about to end.. That’s the only reason he didn’t get up right away.

The first Mayweather-Castillo fight was a WIDE UNANIMOUS DECISION WIN for FLOYD… All 3 judges had Floyd winning easily… The judges in the rematch were crooks because Floyd won every round.

An even better illusion is Floyd’s fans thinking he REALLY wants to take on Pacquioa. Mayweather hired David Copperfield for that one and it really did the trick.

Well 2 KO’s on Pacs record are defiantly not an illusions. The only illusion left is Pac thinking he is worth more than 30%.

Tark, Tyson beat Douglas knocked him out. There was a long count. Castillo beat Mayweather the first time. That is why the WBC demanded a rematch.

Maidana isn’t tough for Floyd to figure out but he’s a much better choice than Khan, who we all know is who Floyd wants.

Face it folks… Floyd will never… EVER, face anyone who can take his pot-shots and still actually get to him! Cotto was the closest he will ever risk! And that was only because Floyd’s arrogance made him underestimate Cotto!

Posted December 26, 2013 4:33 pm

Jose Luis Castillo exposed NOTHING!!!

Castillo was beaten unanimously by Floyd — by 4 or 5 points on all judges cards in their 1st fight… In the rematch Castillo never won a round.

A “hit squad” team of judges were appointed to the 2nd Floyd-Castillo fight — including a corrupt judge who had Mike Tyson leading all the way in his fight with Buster Douglas. Tyson won only 1 round of 10 in that fight — so Ken Morita’s score was more dumbfounding than anything ever produced by C.J. Ross.

Mayweather defense the best in boxing, but Jose Luis castillo exposed Floyd defense years ago. A good pressure fighter with good chin and general ring knowledge can break and solve the Mayweather defense. Maidana is the man to prove that right now. Just like Canelo, Guerrero, Ortiz had their young chance to destroy Mayweather, than Maidana needs that chance. Showtime make that fight happen.

That Philly shell didn’t work against Castillo who any real fight fan knows beat Floyd. So that is a piss poor analogy.

Posted December 26, 2013 3:35 pm

People say Floyd would this and do that, and KO this or that one. Problem is….he has yet to prove it. It’s easy to say any fighter can do anything. Broners jock strap sniffers Im sure thought Broner was just going to waltz right by Maidana….that Maidana was going to be a cakewalk for Broner…..but then…. REALITY set in and Broners problem was solved. I give more credit to Broner for at least not following floyd through the path of least resistance and fighting someone who actually came to fight… other words….a threat to his 0….and a legit challenge. Floyd has not risen to this level his castillo beat his as nearly 10 years ago. Floyd got scared from then on and took the easy route with past their prime, damaged, catchweight and has beens. And Floyd is under a self illusion he’s on a level of SSR. What a wuss.

Posted December 26, 2013 3:28 pm

You see how Floyd operates? He will ignore Pac, Bradley, Thurman and Porter, dangeous opponents for him and instead prefer to face the weakest link of the group. Is this ATG material? P4P material? HOF material? He’s more exhibition material. Maidana should get wise to how he operates and not give Floyd an opportunity and build his own legacy. Besides, Floyd has 4 more fights….let him face better fights and stop using so much smoke and mirrors.

Not surprising to hear that from one beaner to another.

Broke up Martinez needs to worry about GGG and Ward. He knows his time is up, so he’s looking for the lottery like everyone else. With his style of fighting with his hands down, how long would he last with the most accurate puncher in the game…lol

I’d be more impressed and of a mind mayweather would have a challenge if he fought Martinez

Posted December 26, 2013 11:48 am

I actually agree that Mayweather is gauging Fan reaction and setting the table for his next bout by Tweeting evocative images of him against Khan, Maidana and Pacquiao we know Manny is not part of the equation…I would not have an issue with him facing Maidana at this point and the fight would be easy to make, Chino would gobble up 3 or 4 mill, and if they stick Broner on the undercard like FMJ discussed it creates a compelling storyline… GBP has alot of options next year to produce some strong events..

Posted December 26, 2013 11:24 am

Khan is a joke. He’s semi-retired already, just holding out for a Floyd pay day then retires for good. No thanks, don’t wanna see Khan v FMJ.

Posted December 26, 2013 10:21 am

Based on Mayweather’s latest tweet rampage, I reckon Maidana is the one who will get the fight (i.e. it seems Mayweather is trying to gauge fan reaction to each potential opponent… we know everyone will want Pac, but for the same old reasons, that fight won’t get made quickly enough, if ever).

I think this actually works out better for Mayweather. Khan has the hand-speed and pure offense to give Mayweather trouble, assuming Floyd isn’t able to intimidate Khan with a bit of hurt early on.
Maidana I think is just too slow and his effective punch volume diminishes rapdily throughout fights. I can imagine Maidana having a relatively good first few rounds (i.e. Mayweather being mostly defensive) before he starts to tire (from wasted punch output) as he generally does in the middle rounds of many fights, then I daresay we may see Mayweather put on a similar performance to the master class he performed for Arturo Gatti (though I think Maidana will see the final bell, albeit more bruised and battered than he may have ever been in the past).

Posted December 26, 2013 10:21 am

Broner does not have the legs that Mayweather have. Anybody with legs will stand a better chance against Mayweather and Maidana is not so fast with his legs.

Posted December 26, 2013 10:20 am

Not sure what Martinez has been smoking, but he is out of his damn mind if he thinks Maidana would give Mayweather difficulty in any way.

Posted December 26, 2013 10:18 am

Maidana beat Broner who looked less than great against paulie. Maidana is good but be for real can Maidana beat Porter or Khan in a rematch. People saying that Pacquiao could have KO’d Rio if he wanted is just foolishness, I’m sorry I don’t care how good you are you don’t play boxing. If you play boxing you could end up hurt really bad, Manny’s power left when he found god and stopped doing what ever it was that gave him KO power. Manny went straight and cleaned up his act, and with that clean up his power deminished.

Posted December 26, 2013 10:16 am

I still like the Maidana fight better than the Khan fight.

Posted December 26, 2013 10:05 am

Khan would be a good prospect against Mayweather, he does better against boxers than against punchers. He handled Judah and Malignaggi with relative ease. And Barrera.

Sergio is just backing his countryman and hoping to see him get a nice payday… He would NOT bet his personal fortune on seeing Mayweather lose to Marcos Maidana… He would be a FOOL

Posted December 26, 2013 9:30 am

Floyd Mayweather is like a TRUE Martial Arts master, he can teach another guy the moves but they will NOT have his anticipation, quickness of thought and decision making.. TRUE boxers are making quick decisions and adjustments in real time… Broner can fight but he cannot fight on the level of Floyd who has employed his skills against the upper tier of the sport for YEARS…. Anyone who thinks that Marcos Maidana has the blueprint to defeat even this version of Mayweather is crazy, I am sure in 5 years when FMJ is 42 the bout would be more interesting… Hey I like the “Big Brother avenging Lil Brother” angle and Chino is a hardworker who could use a BIG payday…. If they ever fought you can tell me whether Maidana has the code for Mayweathers “Philly Shell”

Posted December 26, 2013 9:08 am

Adrien Broner stands like Floyd in the ring, tries to defend like his and shakes his head when he gets hit with a punch. Those are the only similarities he has with Floyd. When Guerrero beat the hell out of Berto, everyone said he would do the same to Floyd. Fighting like Floyd doesn’t mean you have his ring IQ, defence and ring generalship. When will even top fighters who should know better learn this. I guess that’s why they need someone to tell them what to so at the end of rounds, more like programmed zombies. Skills and IQ win fights people, not a similar stance to a great fighter.

Posted December 26, 2013 9:01 am

Floyd anticipates the punches as they’re been thrown, and either steps back or to the side, and even whilst he’s stepping out of the way, his hands are in the right place as a second line of defence. His reflexes are so good that he is fast enough to even counter those shots and make his opponent pay for daring to attack. Broner does none of this. He just stands there and does nothing. Floyd also has that lead right hand he throws and gets out of the way. Against a fighter as Slow as Maidana, he’l land that punch at will. There are so many things to Floyd’s game that Broner does not have. Floyd is a chess player, knows when to stand and fight, when to move, when to up the intensity and punch harder, when to jab, when to throw combinations. There’re no rules as to when to do these things, it depends on what the opponent is doing and what’s working, Floyd is a master at this and that’s why he’s undefeated

Posted December 26, 2013 8:48 am

Sergio Martinez, all due respect to him as a top fighter, doesn’t know enough about boxing. Many top fighters usually get their predictions wrong, and I think he got it wrong here. Broner does not have the footwork and movement of Floyd. He also doesn’t keep his right hand glued to his chin enough, hence the reason Maidana’s left hooks landed on his chin. It’s almost impossible for any fighter with Maidana’s speed to land such punches on Floyd. Maidana also has vulnerabilities with body shots, which Floyd will exploit. Floyd vs Maidana’s will be like Floyd vs Gatti all over again. Maidana will not land one flush punch, with the crisp defence of Floyd. Amir Khan will be a much tougher fight, due to his speed, hand speed and jab.

Posted December 26, 2013 8:36 am

Dont really fancy Maidanas chances here, Floyd bruised Canelos face up a bit even though he never hurt him and I have seen Maidana wince on a quite a few occassions when he has been hit with a good shot to the body

Another predictable Mayweather victory if he fights Maidana. At least Khan might beat him on the jab for 2 rounds!

Prediction: Joe Cortez refs the fight stops Maidana getting on inside. Mayweather schools him for 9 rounds, knocking Maidana down with a straight right to top of head in the 7th. Maidana then takes extra risks with little defense, taking extra punishment to head everytime he attacks. Mayweather stops Maidana in 9th with Maidana walking on to a over hand right counter, followed up with 3 unanswered shots to the head, forcing Maidana’s corner to throw in the towel for Maidana’s health.

If Floyd fights Kahn it will be about one thing money skill wise, Kahn dont stand a chance but again the UK has blind love for the dude they dot care that he lost he is huge over there and they are already going crazy on just the thought of the fight so now if it happens it will be a sell out just like the Alverez bout. Floyd dont owe Manny are his fans nothing or the boxing public as a whole. Kahn will do crazy numbers this is the biggest fight that will earn the most money right now. Not from his skills but from his fan base. Mannys vs. Rios was a complete failure no one bought it on PPV. Becaue no one wants to see Manny beat up bums A fight will Kahn will earn 300 mil easily people dont realize how big he is in the Uk, Ask Ricky Hatton who they stood by to the end they were crazy over him and Lennox Lewis. And thats why Floyd changed his name to money he robs the bank without a mask. And guys like Manny are broke claiming they the best and get Knocked out by Marquez guys are lining up to fight Floyd he is the man that will make anyone rich. Manny only makes 3 mil a fight thats says it all. He needs Floyd but Floyd can careless about him he is like a fly at a barbecue..

Like I said, if and when that fight between Manny and Floyd happens, Floyd fans will not be able to defend the man. Look, yes he’s a good fighter that unfortunately chose not to find his era’s best prime guys. It happens in a lot of boxing. Floyd just basically runs his mouth too much an criticizes others, yet he does the same things. For example, he takes shots for Manny fighting catch weight fights and then becomes a hypocrite by fighting Canelo at a catch weight. He likes to brag, ridicule and mock fighters as well as trainers, promoters and managers, which show people what kind of a person he is. Trust me, his tarnished unbeaten record doen’t mean a thing. Chavez, & Duran had over 70 wins before they lost their unbeaten streaks. Ricardo Lope retired with more than 50 wins, Rocky Marciano, calzhage also retired, so the unbeaten stuff means nothing. When and if Floyd fights Manny Pacquiao, the ONLY 8 Division weight class boxing champion in history, Floyd will lose. trust me. Floyd fans shouldn’t worry about what manny and his fans will be saying, they should worry about what they will say when Floyd gets beat. Most will leave this site and leave town.

People hate greatness they hated on Jesus it comes with the territory Hec of a dog. When you great people hate and as soon as a guy gets one good win suddenly he is great and the guy on top of the hill is scared of him I get it. Floyd is on top of the hill and Manny is on the bottom and nothing you can say will change that fact and when its all said and done people like you will hate say this and that and when its all said and done but in the end Manny will still be broke and owe takes and end up with nothing and Floyd will still be on top with guys like you saying he never fought Manny the great guess what he is scared of Maidana. He cant handle big punchers and by that time he will be retired at 50-0 and nothing you can say will change that…

Last post cut short: Manny is the superior fighter in all areas. Floyd and most Mayweather fans don’t quite understand what’s involved in a fight in regards to styles. You must understand that Floyd, as he has in all his fights win with speed of hand and foot. He doesn’t like to get hit and doesn’t take a very good punch as witnessed in his fight vs an elderly Shane Mosely. Defense first fighter like Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather don’t handle punches well because of their defense/safety first approach. Trust me, Manny is going to hit Floyd often. JMM stated that Manny is faster and stronger than Floyd. Why? because Marquez fought both and said that Pacquiao’s style is much more problematic than Floyd’s. I hope you’re putting this all together. Manny dominated Rios in his last fight easily after a year off. And that’s not even his style. Floyd’s only good wins have been against Diego Corrales and Genaro Hernandez. Canelo was a young, strong WEIGHT DEPLETED kid that had no experience with the top guys. Manny would have stopped him. Floyd’s other wins vs Gatti, Baldomir were a joke. One dimensional fighters that offered nothing. Then you have Hatton that was a media made hoax, Cotto was old and almost beat him, Ortiz was on his way to giving him a good fight until the SUCKER Punch. Guerrero was there to fight, but Floyd ran all night. Floyd has a legacy of avoiding all the good fighters in their prime as he has showed everyone with Manny. Last time I saw Manny Pacquiao on ESPN”S First take before the last Marquez fight, he spoke to the tv monitor and said okay Floyd, I will meet all your demands including teting, money and venue. Floyd never responded because he never has wanted to fight Manny Pacquiao. Try and understand that Manny uses feints that will drive Floyd crazy. The counter puncher as Floyd is can’t time Manny’s punches, and he himself will be off balance. Manny has the unorthodox style that will give Floyd fits, and that shoulder roll stuff he does will not work with Manny. That leaning back against the ropes will only get Floyd killed. Forget all of Floyd’s past opponents. Every fighter has a different style that involves speed, technique, timing, punch habits, movement and areas that make them very uncomfortable. Manny in his style and arsenal with have Floyd lost. Trust me, Manny has more than Mayweather fans understand. Manny is the best, and when Floyd finds the courage to fight Manny, he and his fans will be in for a big surprise.

Posted December 26, 2013 4:39 am

Floyd Mayweather Jr. would counter-punch Manny Pacquiao to death. If Marquez was able to give Pacquiao all the trouble he did and then knock Pacquiao out in their last meeting, how can one expect Manny to beat Floyd, who’s one of the greatest counter-punchers who ever lived? Just my opinion, but let’s make the fight and get Bob Arum and Top Rank out of the picture!!

Hec I think Garcia Bradley and even Mallinagi Called Manny the great out and he has yet to take on any of these guys he has Maruez and Bradley problems. Not Floyd problems and he never will thanks to Top rank….

Manny lose? No, no, he will start his second reign through the welterweight division. Marquez is running, Floyd is running. Seems to me like it’s a trend. Everyone sees Manny in one fight, and everyone is scared to death. Bradley may have the courage to step in that ring with Manny once again, and that would be good. Bradley won’t run I assume. Manny Pacquiao is on a mission, and the next guy up against him is going to get hurt. I see Floyd is continuing with his child games on twitter again. Manny is really on his mind. What a joke I give him 3 rounds and the rematch was a shut out. Manny couldnt drop anyone in his last four count them four fights. Not to mention Marquez put him to sleep I bet you cried didnt you clearly you a hater a joker that dont know styles or about boxing Manny has never beat a undefeated fighter name one undefeated guy he whopped, unlike Floyd beat Corallez, Alverez even Ortiz were undefeated. And you said Forget Arum? How he is the one who call all the shots and tells Manny who to fight you are a fool. Manny has never beat moblie guys the only fighter he beat are guys that stand in front and trade typical Latino fighters, But he didnt dominate Bradley he didnt beat piss drinking Marquez and Rios stood right in front of him and he couldnt knock him out. I bet you have his picture tatted on your ass. You love Manny more than Junee

Yep you said that the other day hec dog……and like I said back 2015 after his toprank contract is up. Only problem is Manny will lose 2014…no fight move on.

Hec Dog

Trust me, when Manny hurts him, an he will, Floyd won’t be able to hang on for dear life as he did with and OLD Mosely. Castillo actually beat Mayweather the first time as did Oscar in their fight. An old Cotto was beating Floyd up and Judah did for 5 rounds. Now, you must remember and realize Manny Pacquiao is a whole different animal than all of thee guys, and Floyd did the right thing by avoiding him all thee years. Unfortunately for Floyd, Manny is still around and has all the skills, technique and ability to beat Floyd and he will if we can ome how drag Floyd to the table instead of him playing these childish games through his posts. Simply ridiculous. If Floyd is so confident he can beat Manny, make the fight. Forget Arum and everything other excuse he uses. Fans don’t care to listen to them any longer. Styles make fights as we know, and Floyd will be baffled, confused and uncertain of a man that has more speed, power, stamina, athleticism and the unorthodox southpaw style that will allow Manny to stop Floyd. Trust me on this, Floyd is going to get beat because Manny has things that have given Floyd problems during his career. People, especially Floyd fans are going to be shocked. Trust me on this. Too Many people are underestimating Manny, but in the end, Manny will do something that will cement his legacy forever.

@real deal- ha ha im on here 4 diff reasons than you…..instead of crying and looking 4 answers as 2 y Manny is done and Floyds the king I like 2 poke fun at blind pactards like yourself. Your the fools that are making Floyd the most talked about most watched highest paid boxer of all time…..your just 2 blind and stupid 2 see it or admit it?

Posted December 26, 2013 3:39 am

Hecdog I know Manny is your boy but were was the same greatness when Manny faced Bradley, Marquez and Rios to my knowledge he didnt stop none of these guys, maybe you were watching a different fight with rose colored shades on. Floyd has never been stopped now all of a sudden Manny has the tools to do it? Your delusional my friend a true pactard that should know better, Floyd is 46-0 last time we checked and he has never even touched the canvass, Castello had him hurt and so did shane but he showed true heart and came back to win both fights convincingly name one undefeated fighter Manny beat?

Posted December 26, 2013 2:43 am

One thing is for certain, Void will never fight Pac because he is afraid he will get hurt, wrong style for Void. If Pac were such an easy fight for Void ,then he would have fought him years ago.

Posted December 26, 2013 2:43 am

If May was not fighting Khan Pac would have him lined Khan up. khan has decent PPV draw and a EU following as well regardless his name would have been drawn. Khan PPV draw is higher than Bradley without question.

Maidana is a respectful and humble man with a warrior spirit, but inside the ring he respects no one and that’s the problem with the fighters that faced Mayweather, to much respect. Off course Floyd would be the overwhelming favourite but Marcos would be a live underdog. Volume hard punchers with good stamina would trouble Floyd,Cotto, Canelo and Guerrero are not in this category. It would be a travesty if Floyd decided to fight Khan a man who has lost 3 out of his last 4 fight, including the Diaz fight, Amir has decline beyond world class level. In the other hand Marcos keeps improving and wining. He has hurt fast boxers like Ortiz, Khan and Broner and his boxing HQ is underrated as he knows how to turn the tables when the fight is not going his way.

Martinez could be in the fight for his life against triple g. But he wont fight him.

and Gonzo say….

“Floyd will have no problem if he fights maidana… All Floyd to demand is the fight at 154. Easy money for a very blotted overweight slow Maidana.”

Haha, yep yep. We are all aware of Floyd’s tactics.

Gonzo- Broner…$tupid question. Thats who hes beaten. Is that not a worthy opponent?

I would be ok with this fight happening. I think Floyd would use his legs more rather than stay in the pocket in this fight. Like he did vs Guerrero. Both are dirty and rough on the inside so Floyd will use lateral movement to popshot Chino from angles. Madaina is always an underdog and sometimes he performs above expectations. The only fights i cannot get excited about for Floyd are, Malingnaggi and Khan. Those just are not quite viable. I mean what better selling point for the fight, then how Madaina beat up Floyd’s “Little brother” . It’s almost like a revenge fight. It’s a title unification fight. The more i think of it the more i think it will happen. I think Al Haymon may like this matchup in terms of $$$ and still being a winnable fight for floyd and a good “event” overall for boxing. I have no problems with this being the next PPV.

Who really has Maidana beaten? He’s a nobody who lost to the best guys in his division.

Posted December 26, 2013 12:21 am

@ hecdog – so you still didnt answer the question? Is it a bet or what? Pac wins i got you and your family’s steak dinner! And peace n blessings to you and yours as well friend!

Murderman my friend, I will not be hiding but celebrating at the highest level. The world will be a better place when Manny Pacquiao beats Floyd Mayweather convincingly, and by stoppage I might add. I will even buy you a drink my friend. On a serious note, I want no harm to come to you or any other Floyd Mayweather fans as you will see your hero fall. I will make sure you have my cell phone number so that I can walk you through the loss. I will give you as much support as I can murderman. Peace to you always.

Young Loser- You still hurt that Broner lost? Its ok. He will still need his cheerleaders for his next fight. Relax. Maidana did not cheat.

Mayweather will be a easy fight for Pacquiao compared to when Mayweather fought Hatton. Hatton was working Mayweather body good until got caught with the hook, but every fighter knows Hatton had a weak chin. Pacquiao will be going for the head and hitting Mayweather with different punches, we the same fight as the way Pacquiao beat up Cotto, the same look will happen to Mayweather.
It would be a pleasure to hear Pacquiao say to Mayweather that he bought out his contract with Arum and he is now a free agent, but he can use Arum as an advisor.
It would be interesting to see what excuse Mayweather comes up with. He would tell Pacquiao he would have to sign with Golden Boy. This is just my vision on how this can play out by stepping up the heat on Mayweather.

Posted December 25, 2013 11:48 pm

Maidana doesn’t have a prayer in HELL… The only guys who will give Floyd tough distance fights that will extend him are Lara, Garcia, and Pacquiao.

Posted December 25, 2013 11:47 pm

@ hecdog – dude take that foolishness elsewhere! This article aint even bout pac and you just cant keep pac out your mouth or these esb threads! Tell you what! We still got that bet in sept when they fight? If floyd wins dont be hiding either! And when pac loses please dont kill yourself! It won’t be the end of the world! Or maybe for you it will be! Lol. Peace!

They said the same thing about canelo and we all witnessed that boxing clinic. No way maidana is anywhere near as good as canelo. Remember canelo was the undefeated undisputed jm champ. Canelo was fresh off a victory over a tought austin trout. Maidana beat a small, over hype broner. Everybody please pump your breaks! Floyd will kill maidana! Then the haters will cry maidana was cherry picked opponent! Just like they always cry!

Posted December 25, 2013 11:42 pm

Maidana would be easy for Mayweather. Manny Pacquiao is the fighter that will stop Mayweather before 12 rounds. He has the power, speed, athleticism to beat Floyd any time, any place. Mayweather knows it. He won’t fight Manny regardless if he’s with Arum or not. The man is scared and has nightmares of Manny destroying every guy Mayweather beat. He wants no part of the living legend that is Manny Pacquiao. And that’s the truth. Mayweather talks and talks, but no one is listening any longer. He’s all talk. Floyd see what people are saying about his fear of fighting Manny. It’s starting to get to him. If and when Manny and Floyd fight, and Manny stops Floyd, we need to make sure law enforcement is guarding all bridges. Floyd and his fans may be looking to jump off quickly, and we don’t want that to happen. This is just a sport, some win and some lose.

Posted December 25, 2013 11:38 pm

Boo every fight is a tough fight for Floyd Maidana is nothing special he looked very hitible Broner and Floyd is not on the same level. Maidana is no treat people give these guy way too much credit. Floyd beat killers like Alverez Oscar and Gatti.

Maidana threw the light hook and right well throughout the fight and just out worked Bruner and he could do the same to mayweather. Mayweather have a low punch output although his connection is high, who isn’t when you just pot shot the whole fight but can’t blame him he win the fights, but how well he do against a fighter that throws good left hooks and right while at the same time just e rocking hard to get them off. Mayweather have fought anyone that work hard to get punches off. Thefighters Mayweather have fought abandon their punches soon as Mayweather lands couple punches and moves around

Stopped Ko’ing people after he was accused of being on something…..Floyd would kill Maidana….How about pac vs Maidana or either vs Ruslan/Garcia? If only toprank/GBP could play nicely…

Posted December 25, 2013 11:08 pm

Pacquiao is NOT a KO threat thats VERY hollow to even discuss… He could NOT stop Rios and he lacked the recklessness to go for it… Pac Man has NOT stopped what 6 or 7 fighters in a row?? The odds of him stopping Floyd are close to nil….

Posted December 25, 2013 11:03 pm

Same way guerrero was gonna trouble mayweather because he beat berto who was copying mayweathers style?

Posted December 25, 2013 10:49 pm

Mayweather would box circles around Maidana and KO him late. If the smaller, weaker, more inexperienced Broner could hurt Maidana, then Floyd would DESTROY him!

Martin “El Bruchador” Honorio

I like Sergio Martinez but he’s wrong on this one. Of course he’s hyping his own countryman. But right now, there are only three guys who have a chance to beat Mayweather, i say a “chance” , coz im not sure if they can beat Mayweather. The rest of them — total zero chance to beat Mayweather. The three guys right now are (1) Sergio Martinez (very tricky and slippery fighter – very unpredictable fighter and Mayweather knows this– and Mayweather doesn’t want surprises in his fight)… (2) Triple G ( an absolute beast, although Mayweather i think will find a way to beat him — he’s that good — sorry 3G fans—unlike Sergio — 3G is predictable, but with so much advantage in power and a decent speed he may intimidate Mayweather and get lucky and win by KO)— (3) Manny Pacquiao (yes, i have to bring Pacman here— and yes we all saw that his aggression has been diminished a little bit in Macau— but did we really see the real Pacquiao in Macau?– the version that his trainer said sees red when he is hit by his sparring partner? The guy who looks at Hatton with killer intention?— Pacman knows his fight with Rios is just a sparring session, and i really think Arum told Pac not to put too much hurt in Rios like he did against Margarito. He just carry Rios all those through rounds.—- Pacman can put anyone in a electronic blender if he wants to, and i think the motivation he needs are already there in Mayweather— with all those years of accusation of him being a substance abuser and therefore a cheat. This motivation will reveal the true Pacquiao, and will help him to have a chance against Mayweather. Even right now, I think Pacquiao prepares a special electronic blender for Mayweather.

Sheriff Joe’s chicken

However I would agree Broner is no Mayweather. Mayweather would likely fight better and more defensively.

Posted December 25, 2013 10:23 pm

Sheriff Joe’s chicken

Why is everyone upset? Mayweather talks about Broner’s defeat making him more famous??/ So why does it surprise everyone that Sergio Martinez is praising and talking up Maidana as being tough for Mayweather. Afterall, Mayweather didnt seem all that intrested in facing Martinez. Mayweather instead prefers bloated lightweights.

Posted December 25, 2013 10:21 pm

Yeah Maidana is gonna be the guy to put Floyd on the Canvas? Miguel Cotto and Canelo are WELL above Maidanas level and they could not put FMJ on the canvas… Guys really did think that Broner was Mayweather!!!! Ridiculous!!
