Floyd ends up in a crack den with big Floyd. I’m sure, in fact I know, as I write this post someone is busy separating him from his cash. He came back in 2009 because he got separated from his money. He might be ghetto smart, but he is a general dumb ass. Uncle Roger will join him too, once he has done his time for woman beating,

Khan is a joke and that fight should not happen.

Posted December 21, 2013 12:50 pm

Yes, fight Khan. He is the one on your level…

Posted December 21, 2013 10:11 am

Well as (JE) mentioned below, I think a rematch between Maidana and Khan would be a better match-up, seeing how Maidana got new life to his career over that big win and after showing much improvement under his new trainer Garcia. It would be intresting to see if this time around Maidana can KO Khan for good….

Posted December 20, 2013 11:15 pm

Why would any fight fan care about this match? The result is a foregone conclusion.

Posted December 20, 2013 9:49 pm

Im from the UK and the muppits who know nothing about boxing will probably be all over it, especially with the ever growing asian population. Anyone with half a clue respects Khan as much as they do his last two opponents (and thats being generous), dont think i am alone in wanting money to KO him if its on. I would much prefer to see El Chino given the shot, he deserves it more, and there arent as many obstacles stopping the fight being made like there is with other fighters, and it still makes financial sense as he has the backing of the Mexicans

Posted December 20, 2013 9:43 pm

Before anyone else says it; I will tell you: Not even Ring Magazine has Amir Khan in their top 10 list at welter. As I said before that Amir Khan no where near anyone’s top 10 welterweight list anywhere. He is NOT top competition at welter.

Posted December 20, 2013 9:31 pm

The greatest- yea you are right. Im merely pointing out that Mayweather is not even trying. He’s not evening trying to fight not even top 5 or a top 10 fighter for that matter. Fighting Khan is just ridiculous. I dont care if it makes sense for buisness cause if thats the case fighting Pacquioa makes alot more sense “money wise”. ya dig?

Posted December 20, 2013 8:46 pm

Would rather see Bradley who has truly earned the fight or Maidana take on Floyd

Posted December 20, 2013 8:00 pm

Amir Khan is rated #17 at welterweight according to
He is BELOW:
Randall Bailey
Adrien Broner
Paulie Malignaggi
Devon Alexander
Keith Thurman
Shawn Porter
Marcos Maidana
and TIMOTHY BRADLEY holds the #1 spot at welter. Oh and by the way Floyd is rated at Jr. MIDDLEWEIGHT since he fought Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Mr. Gav- good point.

Posted December 20, 2013 6:50 pm

Mr Gav

This is a fight for the casual fans, the type who pay the ppv and sit around all night drinking beer with no idea who the undercard is till the main event comes on. And the UK is full of them and this is why this fight will be big and if in the UK huge! The hype will be built around lyod honeygram don curry fight, making the casual fans believe khan has a chance. But anyone with boxing knowledge knows this fight is a miss match. Floyd is phenomaly talented in the ring but he is an even better business man he is not called money for nothing. Im just afraid we have to go through with this fight.boixing politics are preventing the fights we really want I’m guessing floyd and Manny would want to fight each other but there are people that are stopping this from hgappining. So for now its floyd v khan

Waiting for the official announcement of Kahn being next, so I can lmao @ the cherry picker! The cherry picker who is going to be stripped of his WBC green belt for not fighting Pacman! The only belt that floyd said he values.

Khan is shot, his team know it and so does he. He struggled to beat a shot Diaz last time out. This is his cash out fight, if he gets the Mayweather nod it is likely to be his last fight. Khan has good speed which might pose a few early problems. However, Khan is extremely unintelligent and is incapable of using his natural attributes.

hecubus my friend, yes there are other good fights out there for both Mayweather and Pacquiao, but they all fall short of what fans really want. Mayweather is making boxing fans bow down to him like he’s some kind of God. He is mocking everyone and most Mayweather fans are bowing down to his egotistical, arrogant, selfish demands, and will continue to buy his PPV as he laughs at them. Fans have so much more power and control of these fights, but don’t realize it. How shameful can Floyd Mayweather get. Fans have to go back and forth because this scared little kid wants to have control or who he fights rather than take input from his own fans as well as boxing fans in general. Floyd Mayweather does not own boxing. He is not bigger than the sport. All fans have to take a stand every now and then and let these self serving athlete know that they will not support the man regardless if you like him or not. Floyd tells you that he cherry picks and laughs his way to the bank. He says he loves his haters as well because they buy his PPV’s. Stop listening to this character and don’t buy his next PPV. Trust me, a clear message and impact will be made. If you don’t, that just proves Floyd right, and he will continue to dictate and laugh at fans all the way to the bank. How sad can this situation get. Floyd is acting like a little 2 year old because he dislikes another man and so he’s not going to come out and play. He is without a doubt the most insecure individual I have ever seen. He has all the money he needs. He has all the fame he will ever need. He has everything a worldly man can ever want. And still he continues to act his childish ways in front of the world. Floyd basically says that all his BS excuses have been just that, BS! Thee only real reason is because of Bob Arum. He’s been making up excuses all along, and now he finally comes clean. What Floyd needs more than anything is a P4P psychiatrist.

Posted December 20, 2013 4:05 pm

Mayweather has run out if excuses. Mayweather has failed 3 PED’s test. In his past fights where is Dan Rafael ESPN, and all other boxing experts reporters following one of the biggest crooked sh**t by Vegas and Golden Boy Promotions. Pauli is right boxing journalist don’t know sh**t about boxing or have the balls to write about the true behind big networks and promotion companies.

Posted December 20, 2013 3:42 pm

We all know who is running from WHO! Mayweather takes on Khan. If you still consider this guy the best, then you are an IDIOT.

Posted December 20, 2013 3:05 pm

PACQUIO Bradley Garcia and Maidana are the only deserving candidates for the FMJ fight. Khan, Ortiz, Malinaggi, and Mattesse need at least another win against a top 10 WW in order to deserve a shot. If any of the above fight Kell Brook and win then they’ll be an acceptable opponent for FMJ.

Posted December 20, 2013 3:01 pm

Kahn is a easy choice reason why, He is huge in the UK and alot of people with buy the fight on ppv. Kahn will easily agree to the terms and they will both walk away very rich men. Unlike Manny there is no Arum so Kahn fight is about money it will sell out vegas, Manny cannot be worked out because of Arum who been e torn since 09 when Manny was on top. Richard Schaffer, Oscar even 50 cent, tried to get Manny to fight Floyd and no one could work with Arum. Floyd called Manny personally and offered him 40 miliion and he turned it down, Arum hope is that he can keep matching Manny up with other Top rank fighters like Ruslan, Bradley and Marquez and the WBC will make Manny a mandatory or people will say Floyd is scared that force him to fight. That way he will be in the position to diictate the terms, its not happening none of that has worked Floyd can fight guys like Kahn and Alverez and make 100 mil, Manny fight bums like Rios and gets paid peanuts,

Posted December 20, 2013 2:32 pm

Amir Khan’t

Khan has little to zero chance of beating Floyd. He hasn’t the chin, the durability or the brains to beat May’.

Posted December 20, 2013 2:20 pm

He can only fight people he knows he can beat.

It’s not about legacy it’s all about doing business with you…..thank you for all your support in the name of my extraordinary talent which is called the sweet science of boxing! Floyd Mayweather Jr!

Posted December 20, 2013 1:48 pm

More money, more money, more money, caching……how much Khan will get? 5/95 split….caching$$$$$$! More money, more money, more money…..

Posted December 20, 2013 1:45 pm

Mr Gav

Hmmmmm yes khan has a lot of fans and sells out stadiums in the UK every fight. He may have a lot of flaws and he has been badly managed for his whole carrerr. But he is exciting and sells lots of tickets. This will be a mis match and flloyd will win by stoppage and khan will retire after this fight

Posted December 20, 2013 1:45 pm

Does Khan even HAVE fans? Geez……who the hell wants to see this fight? Khan has been losing and struggling in fights lately, he stands no chance whatsoever against Floyd…big mismatch, terrible choice of opponent.

Posted December 20, 2013 1:41 pm

Hec Dog – I agree that the Pacquaio is THE fight that has to get made, but c’mon….there’s other good fights out there as well (rematch with Cotto, Bradley, Danny Garcia, even Maidana is even in the picture). granted I think Floyd beats them all, but those are all fights Id like to see

Posted December 20, 2013 1:09 pm

Hec Dog

Unless he fights the legendary Manny Pacquiao, who really cares what Floyd Maywether does or fights. Floyd should be ashamed of himself. Manny Pacquiao is the best!

Posted December 20, 2013 1:03 pm

detroitko – i think that’s the fight that should be made. Bradley doesn’t bring the fan base that khan does, but at welterweight, hes the most deserving of the fight, IMO. Even though he did get a gift in the Pacquiao fight, a mayweather/bradley fight would still be a fight of two undefeated weltwerweights.

Posted December 20, 2013 12:55 pm

Mayweather needs a big , name oppoent ready for a may date and amir khan offers the best option busniess wise low risk high reward. The fighters who would offer more in fighting terms are not avalible or ready for may, so look at khan fight as nothing more than a tune up fight for flloyd and if it has uk v usa theme the fights thw writer mentioned it will be a very good card worthy of a ppv. As for flloyd his real challange will be later in the year where a real threat should present it self any luck GGG or pac man

Posted December 20, 2013 12:53 pm

not the fans

Posted December 20, 2013 12:42 pm

mayweather vs bradley

Posted December 20, 2013 12:40 pm

Douglas James Burke

the card might be

floyd mayweather vs marcos maidana
keith thurman vs danny garcia
amir kahn vs erislandy lara
adrien broner vs roberto ortiz

kahn said he can fight at 147 or 154 so they might give kahn a 154 pound title shot to see how he handles a superb boxer like lara.

keith thurman vs danny garcia at 147

danny garcia’s father said he did not want the mayweather fight yet, he wants danny garcia to fight 1 or 2 highly ranked welterweights before challenging the best one mayweather.

many people are advising broner to fight at 140, and golden boy just signed roberto ortiz who is 30 wins 0 losses and 1 draw, and that way they have a rising mexican star on the card vs a big name rebounding from a loss.

Posted December 20, 2013 12:36 pm

Crap fight and a bad career move for Mayweather, but what else is new? He and Pacquaio are ducking each other and we ALL suffer for it. I couldn’t imagine Hagler, Hearns or Duran doing with with Leonard in the 80’s. Instead they fought each other numerous times. Damn shame

Posted December 20, 2013 12:25 pm

Floyd will make Khan look like an amateur (that’s why hes willing to fight him and every other guy “not on his level”). On top of that, none of those guys are on Pacquiao’s level, and Floyd doesnt even entertain the idea of a fight with him. I just don’t understand how people can still defend Floyd at this point. He’s the best fighter on the planet……you should expect more from the best fighter on the planet

Posted December 20, 2013 12:15 pm

Floyds first lost will be from Khan. Khan is to fast for Floyd

Posted December 20, 2013 12:09 pm

He is Fighting a new opponent: Credibility.

Posted December 20, 2013 11:53 am

the writer did not mention bernard hopkins , i wont be surprised if they fight each other at 160 on may 2014 coz hopkins is up for it & it would be a huge pay per view event , floyd is all about the money to break records & pay per view so the golden boy is ready to promoted it in the new year

Posted December 20, 2013 11:52 am

third world

manny pacquiao is not on the same level as mayweather but amir khan and his glass jaw is. what a sham.
