Povetkin should win this…no doubt. And a Price Povetkin fight would be great after they both win ofcourse.

I guess hitting Lewis once in a fight and koing him and then getting one of the nastiest knock outs in return is some legacy.

That’s funny because Povetkin avoided Haye in the amatuers.

TARK

The author writes.., “Povetkin certainly struggled with the pace late on in his last defense against Marco Huck.” ..AP would have struggled one Hell of a lot MORE if the referee didn’t intervene constantly—even when there was no clinch. If Huck were a smoother boxer with a world class jab Povetkin would have been stopped in 6 rounds—instead of being awarded a gift decision. As it was, Huck almost knocked Povetkin out with massively loaded right hands—the type Rahman throws. A Huck-Povetkin rematch should have been mandatory because Huck is clearly superior … Rahman is not getting his shot because of how good he is—but because of how BAD he is. The Povetkin team views him as another soft touch. I view Rahman as an accidental Heavyweight Champion—like Ernie Terrell, Tommy Morrison, Michael Bentt, Shannon Briggs, Michael Moorer, Sergie Liakhovich, and Leon Spinks. They lacked the ability to be Heavyweight Champions, but it was kind of put in their laps. You think of a 3-time Heavyweight Champion as an ATG. Rahman will BE a 3-time Heavyweight Champion if he beats Povetkin, and that sucks …. I make Povetkin a 5-1 favorite so it’s pretty scary.

“David Price: Povetkin should KO Rahman” And you must decapitate A-Farce with a flying twisting screaming uppercut. Nothing less will do.

Rahman at least has a legacy as a hw boxer, somthing Haye can only dream of. FACT.

If Rahmen wins, Haye will be yesterday’s news. Vitali will jump all over the place for a chance to fight Rahmen. Rahmen would welcome the fight in heart beat. This would be a fight to define Vitali’s “greatness”. Vitali could finish his career beating a “champion” who “knocked out” Lewis. It could be talked up, be a money maker and be a consolation feather in Vitali’s resume.

Rahman is done. Povetkin is no great hw, but he should win this. And David Price, soon you should try and get your shot at b-level champ Povetkin.

If Hasim Rahman is confident, hungry, motivated, aggresive and in good condition, I belive Rahman have’s a good chanse to defeat Alexander Povetkin. I wish Rahman will fight Povetkin the way he fought Kali Meehan or Corrie Sanders becouse if he fights like that, Rahman will win this fight. Povetkin and his team have viewed Rahman as an opponent who is done and no longer a serius thret and that they did not even put Rahman’s face on the fight poster is just dissresectfull for a former undisputed and 2-time heavyweight champion of the world. I wish Hasim “The Rock” Rahman make Povetkin pay and defeats the fake “world champion” Alexander Povetkin.
