Thanks for the kind words, Hidalgo.

Maybe I should include a disclaimer to begin each one of my articles…lol

“But it’s alright, brother…why does that happen to me often?”

I think we get caught up in our opinions and passion for the sport now and then. Some more often than others LOL.Also, a number of the contributing writers on ESB would be better suited as gossip columnists.

I also have a tendency to read very quickly or just scan so I miss stuff, like quotation marks.

You write good stuff Joseph, without bias, and you have a great show. No BS.

I just had a thought LOL! Maybe you should put a disclaimer in bold print and caps at the beginning of all your articles.

Good evening. As usual Joseph I enjoy your input, articles and overall sense of fair play and balanced approach to the boxing beat. You are very cirrect my friend in your assessment of what is passing off as good writing these days. My view of the bout? Broner does not impress me much. He has poor balance and still needs to put in some work on his very aberage defense. Yet I see him winning a comfortable decision against the Argentinian. It should prove exciting because the one very real possibility for Maidana to win is by a knockout. Im not convinced that Broner can take a solid pinpoint shot to the chin without buckling. He has had his share lately of easy pickings and that can be a recipe for disaster. It ahould be interesting to see as the bout progresses if Maidana has made any improvements on his game. Good stuff as always Joe. Peace and strength.

But it’s alright, brother…why does that happen to me often?

Is it because most fight fans are used to reading a lot of opinionated dribble from most web based writers?

When I do an interview with a trainer, promoter, or fighter, very rarely will I interject my opinion. I think it takes away from the subject’s point of view.

It’s a shame that most readers have become accustomed to this kind of “blog” type journalism. i don’t even think it should be classified as such…but oh well…it’s become the norm on the net.

Hidalgo: “So let me rephrase, Joseph: But the way Joseph and Morones talk about Broner, one would think Maidana is a non-entity.

There. All good. :)”

LOL..not really, my friend…Because these aren’t necessarily my thoughts on the matter. I’m just reporting and writing a story on one trainer’s prediction and experience with Broner’s team during the week of the fight.

Like I said before, don’t drill the messenger…lol

Everyone who listens to the show already knows what I think about it. While I am predicting a Broner victory, I’m not sure that Broner has the power to stop Maidana at 147 pounds. I think Morones is right when he states that this is a favorable style match-up for Broner, but I don’t think he’ll stop Maidana within the distance.

A very intriguing question is: If Broner doesn’t possess the power to detour an effective aggressor and murderous puncher like Maidana, will Chino eventually close the distance and catch Broner with a hard shot from mid-range?

We’ll find out tomorrow night. Should be a great fight!!

Sounds nicer too, doesn’t it? LOL!

So let me rephrase, Joeseph:

But the way Joseph and Morones talk about Broner, one would think Maidana is a non-entity.

There. All good. :)

Iron Mike, Broner did hurt Paulie but not seriously. Broner connected with a lot of strong jarring shots to Malignaggi’s face and head. Obviously they weren’t enough to knock him down but believe me, Paulie felt them down to his toes and he’s one tough dude.

Paulie was also fairly marked up by Broner’s shots as well. You just need to take a closer look.

Hey, Hidalgo…don’t kill the messenger, brother…lol”

Joseph, I owe you an apology. I was still thinking about Chris Carlson’s article while I was responding to yours. I know you better and would never intentionally call you a pundit. LMAO! My apologies if I sounded harsh. I save that attitude for people who really don’t know what they are talking about. Or don’t seem to.

This is going to be an upset….Macos Maidana is a master at reading subtle signals from his opponents – If Broner falls off balance just once early on it could be over quickly. Marcos has blistering body shots that IMO will make Broner regret waling around heavy. Maidana’s cardio, continuous work rate, solid connect power with the outside of his right hand all together win this match.

Adrian ” the midget ” broner should fight paulie again.

Posted December 13, 2013 5:06 pm

He did not hurt Paulie, Paulie’s face was not marked up he didn’t even have
a bloody nose, he was not hurt he was not staggered, he didn’t even get a knee wabble, how does Broners trainer even think he is going to Ko Maidana, These guys talk a lot out of there asses, juts dont make sense -peace

Hidalgo: “But the way this pundit and Morones talk about Broner, one would think Maidana is a non-entity. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Hey, Hidalgo…don’t kill the messenger, brother…lol

I’m just reporting here!! just because I clean up some of his verbiage and make it a little more reader friendly doesn’t mean that I share his sentiment. LOL

Anyway, should be a great fight. Might have a prefight radio broadcast from the Alamodome tomorrow. I will post a press release if we can do it!!

KOrnerman, what makes you think Paulie sets the bar for being KOd? Broner didn’t knock Paulie out because he couldn’t. That’s that. Maidana is a totally different fighter. He’s nowhere near as slick as Paulie, he’s much more predictable, and he’s easier to hit. All those factors could play right into Broner’s hands.

But the way this pundit and Morones talk about Broner, one would think Maidana is a non-entity. Nothing could be further from the truth. Marcos leaves it all in the ring every time he fights. He’s no fool either. But he is a puncher and not a boxer and this is why I pick Broner to beat him by UD or possibly by TKO–Maidana just does not possess Paulie’s ability to not get hit (I’m not saying he never gets hit but he certainly gets missed a lot).

Be very careful of whom you’re threatening to KO because when the KO comes, it may be you on the losing of it .. PEACE… … “The Language of the Ring”

Posted December 13, 2013 11:58 am

Hatton and Khan stopped him so if Brone is all hes meant to be then he, should have,be it a TKO or KO,hes doing a real good job of fooling the part time boxing fans.

Posted December 13, 2013 11:20 am

In a nutshell, if he cant KO Paulie what fool would consider him Kayoing El Chino.

Posted December 13, 2013 11:17 am

third world

maidana is a fun fighter to watch against brawlers. broner too quick, and whoever said he doesn’t punch hard @ 147, c’mon man. punches that can’t be seen are punches that to see maidana give him a test,a real test but it isn’t happening. broner going to slice and dice, chop and stop chino in 10.

Posted December 13, 2013 9:14 am

People are talking like Paulie is easy to stop.
Hes NEVER been stopped cold with a punch. Both times he was stopped, he was on his feet.
A prime Cotto couldnt stop Paulie either.

Posted December 13, 2013 8:32 am

broner has no power at 147 he could not hurt malignaggi

Posted December 13, 2013 6:53 am

If Broner has a big night like a stoppage or and beatdown UD. Then the sky is the limit at 147. Big things is his future for sure. As long as he dont fight Floyd.

Posted December 13, 2013 6:06 am

Edgar Guevara

He couldn’t knock out Paulie.
