Austin Trout is not plod-forward-one-dimensional Alfredo Angulo. The busted mouth might end up being his own.

It would be nice if Lara did open up against Trout. He can bang when he wants to but unfortunately he usually doesn’t want to. When guys who can’t punch do that it’s understandable. But guys like Lara and Rigo can hit pretty hard and aren’t utilizing all their ability when they settle for decisions.

I like Lara’s attitude.., “I’m going to bust up Trout’s mouth.” If you’re fighting a pure boxer who won’t attack for nothing, say something to get him angry. Piss him off to no end so he comes after you.

I don’t think it will work, but it’s a good try. Trout is pissed. That’s one part.

That’s better than saying. “He’s going to have a tough fight with me in there” which is what Maidana is saying about Broner.

Technically Lara is the better boxer, but Trout is a smarter, better all-around fighter.

I’d like to see Berstein take a long walk off a short pier. Time for him to retire and let someone else commentate and “analyze” boxing–someone who tells the truth, not skews it.

lara will out box trout and win UD for sure. he’s a much better boxer than canelo and he hit harder than most people think. I like trout but he is in for a long night

big head

i think trout is proably stronger then lara and the better inside fighter to and lara proably is the better boxer as far as technique and acuuracy whoever can work there game plan the best going to win the fight i can see trout being agressive trying to back lara up and work on the inside to the body and uppercut but i think lara going to stand his ground to and let his punches go right back just to let trout know he aint bullly him but trout do got good workrate and stamina but that straight left by lara is no joke you see what it did to angulo face i honestly think lara left hand is stronger then trout left hand i think lara left hand is more harder and accurate lara got good footwork and good defense once lara put those punches together that going to freeze trout up once he use his angles and stuff i think lara is the better all around boxer going to be competive but i see lara taking by ud

I like Trout by split decision.

Yeah Bernstein is an egomaniac. Not the biggest though, there are many. Merchant was quite arrogant when I met him at a Floyd Mayweather card. And Michael Buffer is a perv. He tried to mack on a female friend of mine. What’s he like 70 macking on 25 year olds?

Al Bernstein has the biggest ego in Boxing. He even has his own agent. This moron is a legend in his own mind. Makes me want to vomit in public.

Lara vs Trout is something the purists may like. But it’s going to be a snorebore match up. No fireworks in this one. I figure Lara wins though.

good matchups…..Porter has the style to beat fighters that hit and move…don’t know how durable he’ll be against a top tier fighter, but he comes to fight and makes for exciting fights

Posted December 4, 2013 3:04 pm

Out of the possible fights for Mayweather (in terms of weight span) I’ve allways thought Lara to be one of the most dangerous. Wouldn’t you guys love to see May and Lara get it on (just fantasising)?

Posted December 4, 2013 2:37 pm

PEEJ, I couldn’t agree more with you. He is a pretender and a mouth and should start fighting recognized fighters on a more consistent basis instead of over the hill former champions as he did with Mosley. Then once he has beaten them he will have the right to call out the best in the division, until then, just STFU Mundine.

Posted December 4, 2013 1:22 pm

Mundine should get no shot at anybody. Nobody cares about it. Especially in America

Posted December 4, 2013 1:06 pm

I just watched the Trout Canelo fight again and, in second viewing, it was really a toss up. What really surprised me the most was that Trout really threw a lot more punches that I remembered that night. I still think Lara is more talented, but Trout has good stamina and is tricky, and the way these guys have seem to develop a real dislike for each other tells me this could actually turn into a fight at some point. I still pick Lara because he’s a sharper puncher, but it might be VERY close, because neither one of these guys have a tendency to “take over” which is why they’re involved in these toss up fights all the time.

The Best!

This will be great slapping contest.

Posted December 4, 2013 12:18 pm

i think mundane the ugly man can beat cotto and canelo. the man is huge compared to them

Posted December 4, 2013 12:06 pm

Mundine will not fight Trout
He wants a straight shot at Cotto or Canelo

Posted December 4, 2013 12:01 pm

This should be a good fight and some good undercard bouts as well. Looking forward to a great night of boxing. I think the winner of this should fight Anthony ‘The Pretender Mundine’ as he keeps calling big names out as he keeps saying he wants to prove himself and fight the best. He’s already knocked backed Trout once when they were supposed to fight so let’s see if he’s man enough to face the winner of this one…

I like Trout
Has a 80’s Soul Singer look about him out of “cashflow ”
He was a sacrificial lamb against Fanta Pants Canelo
This fight he gets his career back on track

Posted December 4, 2013 11:14 am

Yeah not big on Lara at all. Certain fights he has looked blah. He did get the TKO over Angulo but if that didn’t happen I thought Lara was on his way out by KO. But he did get the win. I see this just being a counter punching match. Lara will not exactly exert himself.

Posted December 4, 2013 11:03 am

what can trout do that lara cant deal with?

Posted December 4, 2013 10:46 am

Lara is nice! But I wouldn’t sleep on trout either, really excited for this fight!

Posted December 4, 2013 10:39 am

easy money. easy pick. Lara 8-4 rounds or TKO. If Trout couldn’t even match up with gingerbread man then how will he cope with an elite master boxer. Does trout have the chin of the durability of Angulo? no. Does trout have the volume punching that Paul Williams had? no. does trout have the boxing ability or the craft to make it an even boxing match? no. Can trout lay it on the line and go very aggressive to nullify the boxing of Lara? no. depends on the judges on what they will score but no way Lara loses this one. Trout has conditioning and a good chin those two things are his biggest assets. Easy money Lara ,Judah, wont ever watch an Alexander fight or his bum trainer so no pick there.
