HISSYdamus, you were “occupied?” LMAO!

Posted December 6, 2013 2:13 am

BOXTRADAMUS I am sure you can ask without being rude. I see your point and if you get the chance call up the show and chat. It is very cool to interact with Joseph and the pros.

Posted December 5, 2013 9:16 am

“You got something to say to one of the people on Joseph’s show, all you got to do is call in an say it”-I know that Hissy. I was occupied thats why I TOLD Herron to tell him. Believe ME. I not only will say anything that I say to anyone on these boards on the phone but I will say it to their FACE. I fear NO ONE but God.

“rios was a hand picked bum for glass chin manny to beat

Get real. Rios is no bum. If you really believe he is, pop on down to the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, CA and spar a few rounds with Brandon. I mean, after all, he’s just a bum. According to you.

Herron tell Sugar Hill that I SAID to quit ducking Kovalev. Dare to be GREAT.”

Grow a pair and tell him yourself Braggadamus. You could have talked to Sugar Live last night. All you had to do was let Joe know ahead of time that you wanted to talk to him, and Joe would put you on the air.

Back up your mouth with action. You got something to say to one of the people on Joseph’s show, all you got to do is call in an say it.

“Guerrero has been Top 10 P4P. ”

HAS BEEN are the key words here. Robert never belonged on that list in the first place–that’s why he’s not on it now. Greatness is defined by what you do, not by what you don’t. He wouldn’t survive 10 rounds with Brandon unless he hung on to him all night long. Brandon would knock Berto into another universe.

Brandon is no “C” level fighter either. Manny is just that much better. There are very few fighters who fight at the elite level. The have the skills to make most other fighters LOOK like “C” level fighters when they really aren’t. Manny also fought a strategically intelligent fight. He HAD to win that fight. He did.

Joey Herron and BUSTAJAY, get a room.

Anonymous you are silly bro.
I think the show is cool….as a fan I am able to stand by and chat with these guys and that is the best s..hit ever brother. Who can say they chatted with a champ on the phone? Trust me it is exciting.

Call up and have Joseph put you on stand by and you will see it makes you become a kid all over again my friend.

Big Head,

I agree 100%.

I love Ronnie and his entire stable of fighters. But Gabe is a very tough guy…he’s going to give Jermell everything he can handle on January 25th.

But if Jermell wants to be recognized as a legitimate contender in the Junior Middleweight division, he’ll have to defeat fighters like Gabe Rosado. It’s a fight that is necessary if he wants to advance to the next level.

Boxtradamus: “Guerrero has been Top 10 P4P. Rios never has and never WILL. Guerrero by UGLY decision.”

Box, who’s pound for pound list, and what is a pound for pound list anyway?

Styles make fights, brother.

Rios would be all of over Guerrero, and Robert doesn’t have the kind of power or punch output to keep a guy like Brandon off of him for twelve hard rounds.

Watch the Salido fight, brother.

Rios is a C level and was never a threat to Manny.

To see how a fight between Brandon and Robert would look, check out a video of Salido versus Guerrero several years ago.

Rios all day long!!

I agree with everything you said, Hidalgo.

Posted December 4, 2013 1:09 am

Excuse me, let me clarify: I don’t disagree with Diaz that Rios was picked to make Manny look good, but Rios is no walk in the park for anyone and choosing him as an opponent was a calculated risk. He’s a very skilled and dangerous in-fighter. He’s tough, fearless, and has two powerful guns disguised as fists. Plus the kid can fight hard for 12 full rounds and he never quits.

Not only that, Roach and Pac knew Rios was going to be tough. Brandon is no slouch, he’s no bum. Brandon was picked because of his straight-forward fighting style which they thought would be easier for Manny to deal with, but not because Rios is incompetent or a “B” level fighter. Rios presented real danger to Manny Pacquiao because Rios had the potential to knock him out. In fact, a lot of people were predicting Rios would stop Pacquiao–so the threat was real and to demean Brandon in any way because he was dominated by Pacquiao is really just two-faced talk.

I say make a match between Robert Guerrero and Brandon Rios and we’ll see what’s what. I favor Brandon in that matchup.

Posted December 4, 2013 1:01 am

Joe, my money says that no matter what Joel said, I don’t think they really want to face Provodnikov again any time soon. I would like to see Bradley rematch Pacquiao though, because Diaz said Timothy “guaranteed” he would beat Manny again. I’d like to see that fight. I bet a whole bunch of other people would too.

But I still disagree with R. Mayweather that that fight should be a prerequisite for Manny prior to him getting a bout with Floyd. Pac earned the opportunity long ago. Equally, Mayweather has earned the opportunity to fight Pacquiao.

BTW, Diaz also stated that Rios was chosen as an opponent to make Manny look good. I disagree and if I had the opportunity I would ask Joel what he would think of a fight between Canelo and Brandon, or Guerrero and Rios, or even Mayweather and Rios. None of them would knock him out. I’d pick Brandon over Robert and I think he’d do well against Alvarez. But I definitely do not feel that Floyd would dominate Rios any better than Pacquiao did.

of course lamont peterson aint done he didn get knocked out as bad as pacquiao did or paul williams it just wasn his night that all lamont is a strong minded person so i know he aint going to let that loss affect him he got a tough mandatory on his hands tho dierry jean is no joke he can very well get the upset if lamont aint on his game and if he sleeping on him but lamont is more experience plus he fighting in his hometown it hard to beat lamont in his hometown it seem like he fights better at home for some reason and jean never been tested or been through adversity lamont been through it all but jean can crack with that right hand tho so lamont got to be aware of that and he got good hand speed and he a good counter puncher i think lamont might be the stronger fighter tho and better inside fighter and idk how jean going to deal with that crowd in dc he in hostile territory i see lamont winning but i do think jean going to give him a good fight tho
