Floyd started at 115 as an amateur. He turned pro at 130 as a young, growing man. He syayed at 140 briefly but moved to welter to get bigger fights. He is not a big welter because he is kind of short but he has filled out by bulking up a bit. His frame is designed for about 140.
@ Redmond. Manny started his pro career earlier than Floyd at 115. He is not a welter and never reaches welter minimum but moved there when Oscar called him out. He bulked up for that fight but was way below welter. He had intended to be at 135 but moved up for $ fights. Learn facts by reading experts who can disect their careers if you don’t believe me. They are not true welters.Posted December 3, 2013 7:49 am

“Ring age” ie open to interpretation and the fact is that if you claim these fighters were shot when they faced Floyd and lost then they would have to be MORE shot when Manny faced them AFTER….!!! Penalizing Mayweather for aging gracefully in the ring is WEAK, fact is the mans soon to b 37 which will NEVER be mistaken for “young” in boxing..Posted December 3, 2013 12:47 am

Actually Redmond age in the ring is not the same as chronological age. For example Bernard Hopkins is 4 years older than Roy Jones jr yet is younger in ring terms. Manny is more past his best than Mayweather. Like say Roy Jones he relies on his actual athleticism more than he does on boxing fundamentals. He has absorbed far more punishment as well.Posted December 2, 2013 7:56 pm

@JT154, I have said in previous posts that Manny is really a lightweight who moved up daringly to face welters. I also believe Floyd is a natural Jr welter who fights at welter. The further they venture up the less effective they are and therefore ahve to be more careful.
Actually Floyds resume is better than Pacs. Problem is the fight could of been made but they declined something. All he has to do now is accept Floyds demands and the fight can be made. The difference in Floyd fighting certain opponents is that he was fighting them after they where coming off big wins. That is the difference about like opponents. Pac really needs to prove he can beat a boxer because past fights have pretty much shown him having some major issues or losing to good boxers and Floyd is a great boxer/counter puncher.Posted December 2, 2013 2:19 pm
PTS, you are whining about “Mayweather facing older guys” but how does this fly when Floyd faced most of the common opponents BEFORE Manny? ie Hatton, Oscar and Mosley? Marquez was OLDER when he knocked PACQUAIO out? So how are you selling this… Floyd’s last SEVERAL opponents have been YOUNGER by plenty than him Canelo 14 years, Guerrero 7 years Cotto 4 years, Ortiz 10 years. OR do you claim their birth records are falsified?? I am fine with PAC and Floyd fighting and AGAIN we will see an older Mayweather in the ring with a younger Pacquaio UNLESS you claim Mannys the older fighter somehow? Reality is that FMJ is just not having the issues in the ring Manny did ie controversial win over Marquez 3rd bout and KO slaughter in the 4th….Posted December 2, 2013 2:15 pm
Since when has boxing been about “A” having to fight “C” before he can fight “B?” Manny has ALREADY fought many of the same opponents Pink floyd has. Anything apart from this is just another obstacle to prevent the fight from coming to fruition. Besides, its not like Pac arrived here the other day like wannabe Broner. Pac has more ring accomplishments than Floyd has. If Floyd had the audacity to fight folks like guerrero, juan tiny tim marquez, ortiz and baldomir…….. then Certainly Im sure he would love to step up the competition and fight someone who hits back. In fact, for Floyd talk so much smack, he should be the one fighting Bradley who he has avoided since Bradley came into the division. Bradley has been a bonafide champion….a whole lot longer than….you know…..those fake opponents named guerrero and oritz whom he had the nerve to fight instead of facing Bradley, who had a much better resume than those other two ring clowns. At least Pac fought him and anyone with a pulse and brain knows who won! But, as Floyd has for many years now, avoided the best competition until they were either past their prime OR…..had a few losses, otherwise, his opponents are small guys made to look large than life the way they made juan tiny tim marquez appear. This is not a joke but more a nightmare of boxing.Posted December 2, 2013 1:40 pm
I am all for Mayweather vs PAC late 2014 if by some miracle these Network and promotional issues can be worked out… Beyond that stick a fork in it, a 38 year old Floyd vs a 36 year old Manny Pacquiao….At this point I think the Networks will be the bigger issue, Showtime is not gonna budge on this because of their contract with Money May… Interesting times indeed..Posted December 2, 2013 1:04 pm
I agree. Bradley made people questions Pacquiao’s “fire”, cause Bradley’s style didn’t allow Manny to be his typical self, something people weren’t used to seeing…Bradley is a boxer who throws a lot of punches, that’s the type of style Manny MUST defeat convincingly in order to make a case that he can beat Floyd.Posted December 2, 2013 1:04 pm
Tumbo-pendeji-to is a jealous Fat Head. Jealous of the fact the conversation does not involve any Fat Heads from SOB. ( take your pick as to its definition, either would be correct) As for Pac…..at least he fought and beat tiny tim JMM while both were in their primes…..and more than once I might add……he fought Barrera while in his prime…something JMM never did….He fought Morales while in his prime….the first two of which Morales was still in his prime and still formidable. Pac has so many more accomplishments over tiny tim, it’s truly amazing and remarkable. Best part of it….Pac still sells out ppv’s. Juan Tiny tim marquez’ latest fiasco of ppv sales amounted to a measly 350K buys, meaning, neither him nor Bradley are able to put asses in seats the way Pac can. Tumbo should really appreciate this mexicutioner. They come along once in a blue moon.Posted December 2, 2013 12:56 pm

the ONLY conditions under which Team Pacquiao* confirms a matchup v. Floyd is if Mayweather displays notable age- and/or ring-related slippage. it’s virtually the same waiting game that Team Pacquiao* employed to avoid immediate rematches v. Marquez. otherwise, that rivalry could’ve been concluded in a couple of years, if not sooner. they’ve already managed to stall the first bout by 3+ years. however, this strategy requires precise timing. meanwhile, Mayweather has continued to thrive while it is Pacquiao* who has displayed serious limitations and/or age-related slippage. IMO, Pacquiao* will not cash-out in what figures to be the final bout and loss of his career for anything less than a guaranteed $40 mill. after all, paydays not ring-glory has always been the guiding principle of Pacquiao’s* career and one $40 million loss is preferable to three or four $10-15 million wins v. marginal competition.Posted December 2, 2013 11:29 am
Actually Pac and company came out and said they felt Marquez was on something. They did not stay quite and not saying anything. They came out and clearly said they felt Marquez was on something and that is the reason why they had Rios doing the random testing.Posted December 2, 2013 10:40 am

I also like your ability to avoid the pactard vs floydiot universe. I respect both have been a fan of both. Personally I have always favored Mayweather in a fight. I did think manny’s best chance was a few years ago. Urone 2 I am not here to defend Manny but if I was in his shoes and an opponent accuse me of PEDS I would sue his azz. I know I worked really hard and still give up weight and size to bigger guys and he has the nerve to make such a vile accusation? Floyd never accused anyone else. He just said I want drug testing. Like I said before, I feel everyone or at least all major boxers or champs, should undergo year round testing. They make enough $ to do that.
Roger Mayweather will be the same man to tell you Bradley got a gift decision vs Pacquio and therefore he doesnt deserve a shot against Floyd Mayweather. Now, they are again finding an excuse not to make this fight happen. I like both fighters and think Mayweather will beat Pacquio. However, this is a fight that I still would love to see as well as many others do too. If the fight is so damn easy for Floyd just make it happen, I mean he is still going to make lots of money for an easy night, according to him and his ppl. Just make it happen and stop making it so damn difficult. As far as Roger Mayweather, he needs to shut up… never gives credit to any fighter! LETS GO!!!Posted December 2, 2013 7:27 am
Floyd also ducked Cotto at 147, Martinez at 150, and Winky at 154.
Whats really funny is that Floyd called the later two out but they called his bluff. Winky was even willing to do a same day weigh-in. Martinez was willing to give Mayweather a 20% cut of the proceeds.Posted December 2, 2013 7:24 am

I can admit the Floyd didn’t have a great 147 resume the only fighters he didn’t fight was Margarito, Williams and Pacquiao. He tried to get Mosley eariler when he decided to move to welter Mosley declined. People complained that he fought Judah and not Baldimir then he fought Baldimir. We can change the subject to Mayweathers competition but pay close attention not one of these fighters are from Top Rank nor has there been any since Mayweathers departure. The only fighter I know for sure Mayweather ducked was Paul Williams. The other fighter he hadn’t fought seemed to be because of the Top Rank Rift. The De La Hoya fight I give him full credit for, he moved up to 148 to fight an aging 154 champion. He only weighed 148 on fight night fighting a guy weight more than 160.
I don’t remember Holmes ducking anyone, there was no one left when he was champion, all of the compitition during his rein was weak. If I remember right he had a problem with the other sanctioning bodies and did not want their title belts. He held the IBF belt but I dont remember the problem he had with the other organizations.
I’ll just wait for the fight to happen and I believe it will and we will see what happens then I will be right back here on this sight to see how everyone will respond and watch as many make excuses about the out come.Posted December 2, 2013 3:01 am
Everyone relax. There will be a may vs pac fight in sept. Both are simply running out of options and need each other for 1 last monster payday. The fact bob arum is willing to agree to whatever floyd wants proves my point! Arum never gives up that kind of control. I think pac will finally agree to drug testing ( as he has been his past few fights ). I think floyd will be willing to give pac a bigger peice of the pie. Cause in really w/o pac there wont be any pie. For those reason the fight will be in vegas in sept. Prediction. Floyd by hard fought majority or split decision to set up rematch. Name ONE prime great fighter ,Mayweather has faced Urone2 .
Mosely ( has been ) , , , Alvarez ( a hyped novice who was gifted a decision against the very average Austin Trout ), Guerrero ( a bum , imagine him fighting Leonard and Hearns at 147 ), Cotto ( a has been and NOT great , just very good ), Ortiz ( another bum and a known quitter- mentally weak fighter ) , the 39 year old Mosely ( was at his peak say around the first De La Hoya fight a full TEN , yes 10 years earlier.
Now watch the Floydiots spin their usual bunch of nonsense as though Floyd is a rapper or a businessman .
Boxers used to be warriors and followers of the code of Bushido , guys who would fight anyone anytime any place . Mayweather is the polar opposite , Larry Holmes and Ray Leonard were the first fighters to use this kind of logic but SRL only did it after he came back from a detached retina and Holmes , well , he was a great champion and a warrior but he never u attempted to unify the title and ducked a lot of fighters.Posted December 2, 2013 1:04 am

Its all about the zero with Fraud. Its his only marketing tool. He is an unexciting performer in the ring, is lacking in charisma , has no real fan base and needs Mexican opponents to ensure a decent audience. His next fight will be a poor seller , similar to the Guerrero fight unless he fights Pacquiao. He doesnt have another Canelo to bring in the paying customers for Showtime.
Its why his people have always sought easy opposition. They know the audience and also know boxing. Hence a continual lineup of plodding , face first types. Judas Clottey may have given Floyd a much better fight than say Alvarez , the ancient and beat up Cotto, the laughably inept Guerrero , Baldomir etc.
Never forget how Fraud took his little hiatus and let Manny , Cotto, Margarito and Clottey all beat each other up while he hid in the shoadows , cycling his PEDS and waiting for easier opposition.Posted December 2, 2013 12:47 am

As you say Mayweather has made people out to be fools, I see Arum has done that to you.
What I am saying is Arum has done all of this before, if you don’t believe it, it not on me it on you. People want to point the finger at Mayweather that fine but for what reason they want to make him out to be scared. it was said he wouldn’t fight guy then when he does there’s another reason why he did it, the guys were passed their prime or he knew he would beat them. You can’t change the FACT that Mayweather gave into everything the Bob and Manny wanted only asking for Olympic style drug testing, Mayweather said make the fight happen. Bob and Manny would not give on the drug test after getting the contrat that they wanted. I can see and understand what went on here, If you can’t there isn’t a thing in the world I can sit here and type to enlighten you. The Voice of Boxng,
Sorry I did get back to you last night, but I will repeat what I have been saying the whole time. Floyd toss all of his eggs in the basket when he said make the fight all I want is the drug testing they can have everything else. That when all of the Manny fan start making excuses about the drug testing. If giving in to all of your opponents demands and asking for a change in just the drug testing is not wanting the fight, then what is. If Arum doesn’t want the fight and Manny doesn’t tell Arum to make the fight it wont happen.
Remember when Floyd was with Arum and everyone wanted to see Mayweather/Correlas. The stall on that fight was Arum, he didn’t want Floyd to take the fight and everyone said that Floyd was ducking then. That is until Floyd force Arums hand and made him make the fight. The same thing happened with De La Hoya and Trinandad. Now how many of you think that this Man Arum has changed his spots when it come to his Cash Cows. If you don’t like Mayweather this is very understandable he’s a class A butt hole. That’s no excuse to overlook a business man(Bob Arum) doing his normal business practises. Floyd cannot carry Stevenson’s jock strap. That makes four top opponents he has fought this year. Floyd? Still trying stir up the dust given the sun is setting on his parade. Floyd is still trying working with smoke and mirrors instead of being a macho …. a real man, a real champion and fighting whoever it is that is willing. Floyd is nothing less than a frigging has been whos time has passed and needs to retire. He’s giving nothing in return for the money he’s extorting from fans.Posted December 1, 2013 4:36 pm
It’s laughable if it wasnt to ridiculous. Pac has fought many of the opponents Floyd has and in most cases, has beaten those opponents worse than Floyd has.Posted December 1, 2013 4:35 pm

Tark you should quit arguing with the identity theft idiot. I have said many times that I thought Pac won the fight. But I think the judges where not happy with the way Pac was only fighting for 30 seconds a round and that cost him the fight. If Pac would of been fighting the whole fight he would of got the victory. But it was closer than what people think or say. Pac wasn’t really landing many punches and he also never hurt Bradley. The one time it did look like Bradley got hurt, he wasn’t, he never even got hit, he had an injured foot or ankle issues. So I thought Pac won but he wasn’t working the whole fight and that can cost youPosted December 1, 2013 3:43 pm

@ Adrian, thank you. I really can’t see why Floydbots are so defensive about him facing Manny. They insist he is no good yet seem afraid for Floyd to face him. Are you telling me that Ortiz and Guerrero are more deserving of Floyd than Manny or can draw like Manny?
Again after getting knocked out by a brutal KO your stock drops just like in the BCS poll get beat by 60 points you drop to number 10 back to the waiting list. Pac got destroyed and now needs to rebuild his brand Rios did not help. Pac needs Bradley because he has a title or Pac needs Broner because he is skilled and the closet to Mayweather in fight style as some say. Those fights make sense and would build Pacs stock. Right now Mayweather is on top of the World and does not need Pac. Pac is looking up from ground level and needs 50 million to get the tax man off his back he may go to jail. Arum is the other problem he knows in a Pac fight his slice of the pie will be small now Pac does not have in clout at the Mayweather table.Posted December 1, 2013 1:51 pm
You guys are VERY basic thinkers that’s why it’s hard to be conceptual on these threads at times… Showtime and HBO are NOT gonna just do a handshake deal on this matter, Mayweather has a MASSIVE contract and HBO has done most of its business with HBO… The money is another matter, Floyd’s entitled to the Lions share and numerically there is no intelligent debate, he did almost 3x what Manny did against Bradley vs Canelo and his guarantees and overall takedown is staggering… 50 mill sounds like ALOT and it is, unless you just made 41.5 mill plus upside and most of the promotion… The money he stands to make is uncharted territory for PAC Man but not Floyd necessarily he made 45mill after all was said and done against Cotto…Bob Arum would have to make concessions that will fall him, he is discussing this fight because the best he can conjure at this point are in house rematches and Marquez is gonna want 8 figures even after losing so the big $$$$ is getting harder to come by for Manny… Showtimes committment to Mayweather goes beyond the 32 mill he gets with that “0” intact… It marked a shift in the balance of power to Showtime as it pertains to PPV, Broner, Canelo, Mayweather are all guys (Floyd of course) who have a future on PPV and that’s the goal…HBO has PAC Man and Cotto who is a free agent and possibly winding down..At the end of the day pretending Floyd will starve if he only makes 32 mill per fight for the next 4 contests is laughable… Manny just made 18 mill vs Rios and the TR stable is totally depleted for him absent some rematches one of which already did poorly (Bradley)Posted December 1, 2013 1:48 pm

THAT WEIGHT DIVISION HAS SOOOO MUCH TO OFFER THAN JUST PACKMAN AND FLOYD, GGG IS COMING ON STRONG AND AS I’VE SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE, I LIKE CANELO, AT AGE 23 HE’S GOING TO BE SOMETHING AFTER FLOYD STEPS DOWN. COTTO IS GIVING IT HIS ALL AND HAS A WARRIOR’S HEART BUT GETTING UP THERE IN AGE SO HIS GOLDEN DAYS ARE HERE NOW HE DOESN;T HAVE MANY MORE YEARS AHEAD OF HIM BUT HE’S HUNGRY AND A FIGHT WITH HIM A GGG NOW, WOULD BE A FREAKIN’ WAR… SO, FORGET ABOUT PACKMAN … I THINK HE ‘S ALL DONE ANYHOW, AND IF HE WOULD FIGHT GGG OR CANELO OR COTTO (AGAIN ) AND WIN ,THEN HE WOULD DESERVE A FIGHT WITH FLOYD … MANNY IS GETTING TO BE A LITTLE BIT LIKE HOPKINS, BERNARD WINS A FIGHT THEN WANTS TO FIGHT FLOYD, NO TALK ABOUT CALLING OUT DAWSON WHO MADE HIM LOOK FOOLISH IN THE RING 2 TIMES… MANNY LOSES TO BRADLEY BUT BEATS UP A BUM IN RIOS, AND INSTEAD OF CALLING OUT BRADLEY, HE ‘S READY TO TAKE ON FLOYD, WHY NOT BRADLEY AGAIN, AFTER ALL HE, BRADLEY, IS THE CHAMP .. IT’S GETTING STUPID. .. PEACE… BOXINGDICTIONARY.COM … CHECK OUT MY BOOK AND SITEPosted December 1, 2013 1:46 pm
Isn’t mayweather always saying if it makes dollars it makes sense, who is he going to fight that’s going to bring as many pay per view buys as manny at this point? It either makes dollars and makes sense or it doesn’t, they are always talking about if it makes dollars it makes sense but when it comes to manny it doesn’t. Manny already beat bradley decisively he was just robbed of the decision he doesn’t need to prove what he has already done. This all appears to be diversionary tactics to me, stop ducking and dodging floyd and take the fricking fight, prove you are the best and silence the critics.Posted December 1, 2013 12:35 pm
I’m sure after Pac beats Bradley like he did the first time Roger and Floyd will find another excuse not to make the fight. What with all of Floyd’s house fighters like Bey and Love getting busted for PEDs the whole take the test angle is now a joke. Kinda funny that even with Manny in decline they’re in no hurry to fight him. Why should Packman get a shot with Floyd after he beat up a bum, a no contest, never in it fight, I also would like to see Packman fight Bradley, the rematch should be very interesting but NOT too sure Packman would have an easy task at hand and also, I think he’d get beat again.. What is the latest on Rios , did he decide to retire, a smart move, very smart decision for sure…. Hell, he mus have gotten a few million for his pitiful performance, what does he have to gain by fighting on…. As I said in a few past posts, I’d to see Packman fight Bradley or Cotto or Canelo, I’d really like the Canelo fight , He’ s my man, second only to Floyd … I’d like to see Canelo or Cotto fight GGG then the winner fight Floyd ….. Manny Pacquiao is the biggest draw in boxing. He has no unfinished business, and he’s beaten every guy he’s ever fought. Mayweather’s sorry excuses have played out a long time ago. All Mayweather has to do is tell Haymon and GBP to make the fight. Forget the hatred he has for Arum. If he rally thinks he can beat Manny, just make the fight. Manny Pacquiao will go down in history as the better fighter. He avoided no one. Manny has more options than Mayweather because he brings excitement to each and every fight. People love Manny Pacquiao. Boxing will see no other reason for Mayweather to avoid fighting the living legend that is Manny Pacquiao. I don’t think Mayweather will ever make the fight a reality. He will be the one fighter in boxing history looked upon by his peers as being afraid to fight another fighter. Holmes, Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran have all questioned Mayweather. What a shameful way to go out. Manny Pacquiao has had a million more obstacles in life than Mayweather. He’s came further in life than Maywether, He’s accomplished more meaningful things in boxing and life than Mayweather. He is loved and adored more than Mayweather. He has more sponsors than Mayweather. He will go down in history as the greatest pure fighter ever and the number 1 or 2 greatest fighter of all time. Robinson, Duran and Pacquiao are without question the greatest fighters in boxing history. In their prime, at their weight class, no one beats them. Manny Pacquiao is truly a fighter we need to admire and enjoy watching. There will never be another one.Posted December 1, 2013 2:08 am

I agree that Norton won that trilogy. He was to Ali what Marquez is to Manny, a very tough challenge. Ali never ducked Patterson, he fought him twice and I cringed because Patterson was my favourite at that time. He playfully said some fighters could not walk in his shoes etc. but he faced them when he was young.
See heres the thing why boycott only Pacquioa fights? That would make his numbers go down and that would be more of an excuse for the Mayweather camp to come out and say he CANT pull PPV buys. I say BOYCOTT MAYWEATHER fights. Put the pressure on him like Showtime did so he could have fought Canelo. Pacquioa already said lets go….Mayweather’s response: “ummm fight someone else first”.Posted December 1, 2013 12:21 am
Against guys with stone for legs, Floyd looks like a God, who has so many of his fans fooled… However when it comes to Manny, all Floyd’s antics from the start have been aimed at running out the clock or hoping he’d lose a step, by cleverly making it look like Manny and Arum are always at fault. When the dirty little TMT secret is that even Floyd himself fears that, against a warrior like Manny who can actually come after and keep up with Floyd, means Floyd is no Marquez!! Not at all willing to take Manny’s onslaught to fight back like Juan does… And Oscar and Cotto showed glimpses of what Manny will do to Floyd, only twice as well, with more power, many more punches, and from BOTH hands… And that scares the HELL out to of Floyd and his fans who pretend not to fear the same!Posted December 1, 2013 12:21 am

And believe me, Arum will put Pacquiao infront of a line of plodding fighters before cashing him out, without a problem.Posted December 1, 2013 12:15 am

It drives me crazy to hear the talk about who should what what and why Manny is not worthy.
Tachyon, agreed Broner would be good too. If Manny really wants to beat Mayweather, and not just cash out with a loss, he needs to take on someone like that IMO. A Rios type fight is not they type of fighter Pacquiao wants to be facing leading up toe a Mayweather fight, unless, he’s cashing out, and ready to call it quits….Posted December 1, 2013 12:00 am
Floyd Mayweather made his conditions clear, that’s the power he has being his own boss. Pacquiao works for Top Rank and does what Top Rank says. That’s why the fight didn’t happen. People want to blame Floyd for suddenly demanding drug testing, but that doesn’t fly because Floyd from that point onward demanded and still demands drug testing from all his opponents. Also, since Floyd demanded drug testing, many boxers got caught juicing, so his concern was justified. Also Floyd takes the same test before fights, so he’s not giving himself an unjust advantage. And now Pac is demanding drug testing after Marquez face-planted him. Rather haters like it or not, these past years have been mostly wins for Floyd Mayweather, but inside and outside the ring. And do you really want to debate the 40-60 split? When Floyd has been the number one cash cow for nearly a decade now.Posted November 30, 2013 11:59 pm
@ The Prince: So… Lately, I see now that certain people sense Manny will likely do whatever Floyd demands to cut through his prima-donna-drama and make the fight happen for the fans, SUDDENLY those certain people claim “TMT” should pass? Really? “MONEY” should leave the biggest money in history, out of the equation? Really… So, you’r saying that simply because two judges screwed up against Bradley, and because Marquez, who was getting dominated by Manny, but happened to land a literally last-second lucky KO punch, because of those two flukes, NOW Floyd shouldn’t fight Manny? NOT EVEN for the ONE thing MONEY MAY loves most, in what even Manny says should be “easy work” against a “washed up, has-been”? Not EVEN for $100M, in the ONE match EVERYONE on this rock wants to see?

Boxing fans today do not understand the value of rematches. Beacuse fighter A beats fighter B does not mean he will every time. Joe Louis lost to Max Schmeling but destroyed him the 2nd time. Jersey Joe Walcott lost the 1st two fights to Ezzard Charles and won the last two. Rocky Graziano and Tony Zale had three fghts that all ended in brutal ko’s. Rocky lost the 1st, won the 2nd and lost the 3rd.
Urone- Most of what you said has truth but I believe it was Mayweather who was rejecting the 40 mil. I believe Arum threw out a number like 75 mil and Mayweather said something like 100 mil… so in truth YES Pacquioa f’kd up by not takin the tests and proven to Mayweather his mind games werent going to bother him but when it came to money, the money team priced themselves out….truth.Posted November 30, 2013 11:51 pm
I think Pacquiao should beat Bradley. I don’t think he has to do so in order to get a fight with Mayweather, even if, Mayweather hasn’t taken on a fighter coming off one win after back to back losses, since the year 2000. But still Pacquiao should fight Bradley, not only to erase his loss, but also to let Bradley win or lose in front of the fans with out doubt or possible corruption.. For all of the boxing fan that think they know boxing Mayweather has not fought a Arum fighter since he left Arum sighting “Slave wages”. Now, all of a sudden its Mayweather running from Manny, in all actuallity Arum might want the fight this time we will find out. I thought I read somewhere Manny has a fight in February or March and Mywaether in May. So, they would try to make the fight for September.
Roger Mayweather is correct. Manny has unfinished business and his win over a ready-made Rios isn’t enough to face the #1 P4P.Posted November 30, 2013 11:44 pm

“Wow, this has to be the first time I’ve seen fans not want to see a fighter fight a fighter who previously won a controversial decision over him. What’s going on here???” <<<<<< The problem here is that it was a controversial fight but nothing like with Marquez. In the Marquez/Pacquioa trilogy there was skeptism. THEIR fights were very CLOSE. Bradley/Pacquioa not even close. It was disgusting to watch them give that win to Bradley that even he (Bradley) thought and doubted for a minute he won. I sorta feel like the GIECO Camel, accept this time he’s going like- “What did I say?… What – DID – I – say?”…
Because didn’t I say the other day that Camp Floyd would pull this crap? But no problem… Manny should prove Tim shouldn’t have won… And I guarantee in the rematch Manny won’t leave up to the judges alone, by cruising and stealing rounds at the last minute. Because although he outlanded Tim by a good margin, I’m pretty sure that’s why they gave it to Tim. Meaning, two of the judges punished Manny for cruising the first couple of minutes, then stealing rounds in the third, because like fan, they’ve gotten so used to seeing Manny go all-out, all round, every round.Posted November 30, 2013 11:39 pm

Pacquioa 1 Bradley 0 in my books and MANY OTHERS.Posted November 30, 2013 11:30 pm
Manny deserved the decision over Bradley, but it was no shut out, normal Pacquiao type win, we’re use to seeing. As a matter of fact Pac barely squeaked by Marque in his previous fight at the time. So tell me why shouldn’t Pac fight Bradley again, and put him in his place like he should have the first time. Wow, this has to be the first time I’ve seen fans not want to see a fighter fight a fighter who previously won a controversial decision over him. What’s going on here???Posted November 30, 2013 11:26 pm

It doesn’t matter if Bradley deserved the win or not. Bradley got the win, so pac has a blemish on his record, that he should erase. Any other fighter would do it, and so should Pacquiao. The truth is, Bradley took more of a beating from fans, than he did that night against Pacquiao. The problem is, Pacquiao doesn’t want to step in the ring with anyone who gives him movement, cause he has to work harder for the win. So then, if Manny doesn’t want to get in the ring with Bradley, who’s not going to give anything near the amount of angels Mayweather will, why would anyone here think he has much of a shot at beating Mayweather…Posted November 30, 2013 11:04 pm

The REALITY is that no one sports a more impressive RECENT resume than Bradley other than Mayweather. He just beat twwo Top 7 P4P Fighters in his last 3 Fights. Pac should fight Bradley, that’s unfinished business even if Pac thinks he won. Pac didn’t have a very good night, he did little work and only fought in small spurts. Was that cause he wasn’t interested in the fight that night; or did it have something to do with Bradley? I thought Pacquiao won, but he didn’t get the nod, so he should do it again. Besides Bradley fights for top rank, and holds a belt. It’s a natural fight, but if Pac loses, he better drop Top Rank, if he really wants to fight Mayweather.Posted November 30, 2013 8:52 pm
Man I have to say there always seems to be some condition to Pac fighting Floyd (like he hasn’t done enough in his career compared to some of the people Floyd has fought). It’s the test or the split or he has to beat this person or that or maybe drink 10 shots of tequila and say: “if simple simon picked a peck of pickled peppers how many pickled peppers did simple simon pick” 10x relly fast without making a mistake.
I miss the attitude of the old school fighters who wanted to be great, who would fight anyone.

Roger agrees with ME as Bradley is the guy who deserves a Floyd Fight more than Pacquiao. As I SAID last WEEK…IF Pacquiao can beat Bradley and make him taste the canvas while he’s AT it then I will clamor for the Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight TOO. As of right now I’d rather see Mayweather -Bradley as that is the most logical Fight for Floyd at THIS time….Lasting 12 rounds to beat Marquez by ROBBERY is more impressive than only lasting 6 rounds while getting dropped and knocked out….and its Freddie Roach’s fault. Instead of continuing to Box Marquez while lasting 12 rounds to WIN by ROBBERY, Freddie ordered Manny to get a decisive WIN which got him knocked out decisively….ANYONE who tries to beat Marquez by knockout will BE knocked out and that includes the GREATEST defensive Fighter of all times Floyd Mayweather….Thats why he exercised GREAT Boxing IQ and didn’t even TRY it. ….Manny and Roach need to go take a BOXING IQ class….Marquez is a decent Boxer but he’s an ATG Fighter because he has precision and MUCH Punch variety on the INSIDE and during exchanges…..that’s why Bradley took a Floyd BLUEPRINT class and Boxed his way to ROBBERY because he can imitate Floyd but he can’t duplicate him….Floyd’s on another SKILL level.Posted November 30, 2013 8:50 pm
2 years ago Pacquiao had a chance, now he has none. Mayweather is now an official solid welter weight with good speed, lots of skill, and top notch ring generalship. Mayweather goes into fights and take a minimal amount of damage. On the other hand Pac gets injured, hurt, and has even got put to sleep..Two years ago this was a harder fight to pick, today it’s an easy pick Mayweather 8-4 with the possibility of a late TKO, via a perfectly timed strait right…Posted November 30, 2013 8:46 pm

Who cares what Roger says regarding Pacquiao. He won’t be the guy with the final word any how… Manny blew his chance 3 years ago. He should have called the Mayweather bluff and took the fight. He had a better chance to win back then than now. what a poor decision he made… Now every time he fights, he’s walking the guantlet, and taking more damage. Every fight he takes. Mayweather gets a bigger advantage.Posted November 30, 2013 8:39 pm

Pacquiao needs this fight FAR more than Floyd who’s business model and contract earn him more per fight than any other boxer in history…Manny had an 18 mill guarantee against Rios, meanwhile Mayweather made 41.5 mill BASE without PPV upside and his share of the promotion factored in… Showtime is on the hook for 32 mill every time FMJ puts on the gloves…Pac Man is subject to more market risk… Arum cannot support a huge guarantee against Bradley when they did 800k last time they fought and Tim will want MORE $$$ now that he defeated Marquez who smashed Mannys brains out..l.Posted November 30, 2013 7:57 pm
This writer is WAYY overboard he basically thinks ANYONE can defeat Bradley which is nuts… After the Provo bout I thought Tim would not have enough for Marquez but instead he showed he can still box and be smart…That said Pacquiao is a man of FEW options he is NOT gonna get a big payday with Bradley we already saw a dull PPV between the two of them…We all know that a Pac fight is not possible till the second half of next year so its really gonna be interesting to see who turns up as opponent for both guys… For Manny I can only see Bradley or Marquez if he is offered a HUGE sum of $$$$$$$$$….Barring a loss a bout between FMJ and Manny is the ONLY 2 mill plus PPV left in boxing so the problems lie with the networks HBO and Showtime and the promoters… Pac Mans gonna be the Underdog by 3-1 especially when they replay that Marquez KO 15x…..I say let them do it second half of 2014 if possible…Posted November 30, 2013 7:52 pm

I for one do not want to see FM fight another “boxer”. He is too skilled and would win a UD over any of the “boxers” mentioned in a very boring fight. Styles make fights and the best fights are made when skilled boxers are in with aggressive, attacking pressure fighters. The first two that come to mind are Pac and Provo. Floyd would probaby out point either of them, but at leat they would go down attacking and swinging. This would be much more entertaining than watching Floyd completely out box another boxer.Posted November 30, 2013 7:03 pm

History has shown that when Floyd is confident he can beat a fighter, he quckly makes the match. JMM challenged him and he made that fight. Same as Hatton. He came out of retirement for those guys because he knew they were tailor made for him. But when Manny accepted his challenge when he heard Floyd say he is not his own boss, that if he wanted to face him he would say it publicly. He emphatically accepted.
Immediately, Floyd started the bad mouthing, the PEDS and the hostile insults. Ironically, when the issues of PEDS got lnked to his failing tests, when Manny’s lawyers demanded to see the test results, he and his family dropped the accusation of PEDS use by Manny and quickly settled out of court. He has sad Manny’s wins were against drained fighters, hasbeens or guys who could not fight. Then it was super PEDS. Then he wanted 70-30 then offering Manny a flat fee when he would make double.
Andrew says.., “he is by far the most dull fighter in the history of the sport.”
He also attracted the most eyeballs in the history of the sport… and made more money from his fights than anyone in the history of the sport. If you think he’s boring there’s a simple answer. Don’t pay any attention to him …

The Maynevers will always find another excuse not to face Manny. They will also always create excuses in advance. Fest Sr demanded Manny face Canelo and Guerrero. Why? So they can say he s again facing their left overs. If he refuses, they say he can’t get a fight. If by chance he loses, they say he is not worthy. Of course if he wins big they will again claim he is on something. Finally, as Bradley has no fan base when the PPV s low, they will have another bargaining chip, namely they must get an even larger share.

You can throw Provodnikov’s name in the pile as well, even though he’s not a welterweight. As for the light welterweights, I’d favor Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse to beat Bradley, and I think Zab Judah would give Bradley a huge run for his money in a life and death fight for Bradley.”
GYAOOH!!!! Bradley stopped Alexander after battering him around the ring.
Tim Bradley would beat Marcos Maidana, no problem… Tim would beat Brook, Khan, Guerrero, Broner, and Judah without struggling—about as easily as Tim beat Lamont Peterson and Devon Alexander.
Provodnikov is tough. Bradley would box Provo in a rematch instead of trading shots with him. Garcia and Matthysse are problematic fights for Bradley. I would favor them 8:5 or so. Those are very close, tough fights … but Tim would have a fair chance to win.
Floyd would be a 5:1 fav to beat Bradley… and Money would win 117-111.

Mayweather versus Bradley first would probably be a better build-up to his fight with Pacquiao than Pacquiao fighting Bradley. Only downside to that is that Mayweather would not make as much money because Bradley’s fan base is nowhere near Pacquiao’s. Most fans want to see Pac vs. Mayweather regardless of how each does against other fighters. It has never or will never really be about who they fight in the fans’ opinion. The only people who consider their performance are the hard-core boxing fans and the boxing media. However, these experts will never ever fill those seats. That’s where the real money will come from anyway.Posted November 30, 2013 3:58 pm

Floyd knows bradley just might beat him, I belive bradley would give mayweather a run for his money. Thisvis just s form of avoiding bradley.
2nd reason, they hope bradley somehow beats pac, so floyd dont have to fight manny, roger knows mannys style could beat floyd they dont want none, plus thats one more war manjybwould be in with bradley to make grow even older by the time floyd had to fight manny giving floyd even a better shot at beating him.

pts – Not only have they shared common opponents, but Pacquiao dispatched Mosley, de la Hoya, Cotto and Hatton much more impressively than Mayweather. In fact, Mayweather almost to de la Hoya and Cotto.Posted November 30, 2013 3:31 pm
LOL. Pac already beat Bradley 9 rounds to 3. These clowns are dangling carrots again. I’m not getting caught up in the so-called negotiations this time. If it happens fine. If not I’ll continue rooting for Floyd and Pac to both get KTFO every time they fight.Posted November 30, 2013 3:27 pm
Uh oh Pac can still take a punch we need more fighters to ware him down we can’t beat him right now he still has a pulse ROTF….Posted November 30, 2013 3:20 pm
Besides, Pac has fought many common opponents Floyd has fought. What has changed between then and now? Perhaps Floyds cojones.Posted November 30, 2013 3:20 pm
Needs to? He beat Bradley but lost to C J Ross.Posted November 30, 2013 3:19 pm
you would favor devon alexander, amir khan, and adrien broner over Bradley LOL!Posted November 30, 2013 3:16 pm
Roger is full it. Roger must have been living under a rock for the last 4 years to make such a ridiculous statement. This is the fight most fans have been asking for for the longest. Roger obviously has no idea of the magnitude this fight can be especially in terms of financial rewards. To suggest Pac fight anyone else is basically protecting li’l Floyd from an ass beating otherwise, why continue to put obstacles in a fight fans have long clamored to see. Next obstacle will be an offering of 70/30, anything for Pac to refuse to fight him. Floyd “smoke and mirrors” Mayweather will go down in history as the only “champion” who never fought the fighter most fans wanted him to fight.Posted November 30, 2013 3:14 pm
ROTF…typical Mayweather nonsense this reminds me of when batman throws one of his smoke bombs and when the smoke clears he’s no longer there smoke and mirrors all day amazing illusionist I must say.Posted November 30, 2013 3:13 pm
I think uncle roger has been smoking the purple kush to much if he thinks keith thurman and the likes of zab judah could beat bradleyPosted November 30, 2013 3:12 pm
Mayweather and son or only in the fight game for the money, the fans, well they don’t care about the fans only there pocket book. This latest comment by mayweather is just a slap in the face to all the fans that spent their hard earn money to watch him when he really just doesn’t care about them. mayeather fights for himself and his own ego, why would he give the fans what they want when he has been self centered fighter his whole career. I’d think mayweather and hopkins were twins somehow, they think the same, me me me me.Posted November 30, 2013 3:09 pm
This is mayweather dodging a big fight he could lose. I’ll just mark mayweather as the biggest wanna be fraud p4p champ in the world. Mayweather ducks the best fighters pads his record, or fights fighters out of their prime or weight class and marks another notch on his belt. Manny has the what if factor, meaning he can be unpredictable, fast and resiliant more so than what is usually when a big fight come calling. Mayweather I don’t think wants any wars before the end of his career and manny has the power to ko mayweather so is a fight where mayweather could lose big.Posted November 30, 2013 3:03 pm
excuse me? pac did beat bradley he just didnt get a fair shake. what fight was roger watching?Posted November 30, 2013 3:01 pm
This is nothing more or nothing less than the latest stupid attempt to not make the fight. Why should he have to have another fight before meeting Mayweather, win, lose or draw against Bradley, he’s not going to get any better at this stage of his career, neither is Mayweather. At this point in time, I, really do not know who I would pick if the match was made, there is no legitimate reason for them not to fight, the amount of money they would get is stupendous. One more thing, before Pacquiao fought Rios, so many of the so called knowledgable scribes, were all saying how rough and tough Rios was, and that this was probably Pacmans last fight, well we all know what happened to that prediction, so stop talking rubbish about Pacquiao needing another fight to prove himself, it’s comical at best.Posted November 30, 2013 3:00 pm

Raheem – Bradley did not beat him, that was an atrocious decision. And he was giving Marquez a beating before he walked into that punch.Posted November 30, 2013 2:48 pm
You would favor Devon Alexander over Bradley. Apparently you are unaware that Bradley already beat Alexander.Posted November 30, 2013 2:46 pm
Pacquaio IS washed up against elite fighters even those in a lower weight class such as 140 (Provodnikov). So he beat Rios, so what? Rios is touch but he’s a fighter not a boxer. Pacquaio could compete against guys like Rios, Alvarado, etc;, but he never could have beaten Mayweather. Not in the past, not in the present, and certainly not in the future. He mentioned compassion about not wanting to hurt Rios. That’s a bad statement. In the ring, there’s no place for compassion. By Pacquaio even mentioning that gives an in-depth look to how he feels about fighting.Posted November 30, 2013 2:45 pm
Makes perfect sense. Bradley beat him and Marquez knocked him out. If he fights and beats Bradley, he would kill two birds with one stone.Posted November 30, 2013 2:40 pm
I’m confused. Does Roger think Bradley is a good match for Mp or not. He contradicts himself with every sentence. He is, he’s not, is, not, is, not…. WTF?!Posted November 30, 2013 2:40 pm

Another stalling tactic by the Mayweather camp. Lets wait until Pacquiao gets old and washed up.Posted November 30, 2013 2:30 pm
