I don’t get why so many think Chisora scores a KO over Price?
Sure Price wasn’t good enough against Thompson, but Chisora ain’t no Tony Thompson. Chisora is game yes, but he’s not the heaviest puncher nor the most accurate. Last time out Chisora was hurt by the largely stationery Gerber, and Price is somewhat better than Gerber.
I can’t see any other result than a Price KO victory.

Price is too fragile. Professional boxing is not in him. Chrisora by KO and early. Round 1 or 2

Posted November 15, 2013 11:15 pm

BEARS, I think Chisora would be all too easy to hit for Price, I can’t see Chisora taking too many big shots off Price and don’t think it would go the distance. A KO win for Price by round 8.

Posted November 15, 2013 2:03 pm

This is exactly what Price needs….We all thrive on challenges. If he was in with a no-hoper he would be criticized to death and if he didn’t look good he would be out…..I am tired of fighters being being put in with fighters just to build up there resume…..Price has still got some talent…should be a good fight

Posted November 15, 2013 4:20 am

It seems whoever is in control of price is doing him in here.

Chisora is exactly what price does not need right now. Chisora will not tire and will come forward relentlessly and price has stamina issues.

If Price were miraculously to come out on top here and shore up his stamina issues i would be extremely surprised. I find it highly unlikely and think this will be his final undoing.

Forecast: Chisora wins by stoppage

Fight Aficionado I have to respectfully disagree with you, I don’t think Chisora is too tough an opponent for Price.
I’m not sure beating a couple of non relevant journeymen would really help build up Price’s confidence, he needs a bit of a challenge to be motivated.
I think Chisora would be an ideal comeback opponent, he’s a in form named opponent but not one that would be too difficult to miss or out punch. If Price can’t beat Chisora then he has no business seeking a title shot.

Fight Aficionado

I’m not usually one to suggest boxers are facing comp that’s too tough but in Price’s case it is. He’s coming off back to back losses and should face two punching bags to buoy his confidence. Chisora’s the kind of pressure fighter who can make his confidence unravel. Why risk his entire career at this moment? Because if he loses you can put a fork in it.

Lots of people here seem to be writing off Price against Chisora.
I have to say I expect Price to win by early to mid KO. Sure Price lost to Thompson, but let’s remember Thompson is a big skilled heavyweight that can cause even the best to have problems early on, look how bad he made Pulev look early on.
Price was beaten by Thompson’s boxing skill and his own mental fragility.
If Price has managed to get his mental side sorted out then beating Chisora should be pretty routine.
True Chisora has a good run of late, but none his recent opponents have been big punchers like Price, and Chisora is no Tony Thompson in the skills department.
I expect this fight to put Chisora back in his box and put Price tentatively back on the lower end of the ladder.

Stupid fight for Price… Chisora has too much pressure. He will have to KO him and that ain’t easy for a slow big man fighting a quicker little one with high work rate .

Chisora will end any pretensions Price has left and Chisora himself is just a durable gate-keeper. Typical British hype rubbish.

Good point from Robo. Browne just won a Commonwealth final eliminator that has to be honoured. Maybe he’ll take step aside money & fight the winner.

hit annd hope

Just not going to happen chisora looking better every fight price’s confidence at a low been out of the ring to long should just relinquish his title work on his conditioning and get some rounds under his belt still believe price has a future but three losses in a row and thats it he’ll be the next a farce talking about his Olympic medal and his wasn’t gold

Posted November 13, 2013 8:41 pm

Who is managing Price? This is a nutty fight based on his two blow-out losses of late. Are they trying to squeeze out all the remaining juice in this young fighter. A third consecutive KO loss will prove a disaster to a career that is salvageable.

Posted November 13, 2013 6:26 pm

very risky fight for price, hats off to him for taking a tough fight. if he loses it the end, he just needs to accept that he is not a world class fighter and head back to the domestic scene. he could be british hesvyweight champ for the next 10 years and make 10 grand or so per defence. not being world class doesn’t mean you cant still be a pro boxer and make a living out of the game. I personally feel price is not a very skilled fighter, but he obviously has a big heart and has my respect. chisora KO6

The blueprint to beat Price is to take him into the second half of the fight, he tires and then go to town on that china chin. Of course you need to avoid Prices own big right for 5-6 rounds.

Posted November 13, 2013 5:03 pm

i thought bel boy was fighting the guy from pizza hut.

Not a chance that Price will take this fight straight after his last 2. I can see him relinquishing his belt rather than facing Delboy. Pricey needs to conquer his demons and one man who believes in himself and has confidence/grit/endeavour in buckets is chisora

Posted November 13, 2013 4:34 pm

Price is with Booth now he knows Chisora … Although Chisora seems to be more focused since the Haye fight. Tough fight for Price and I agree with some of you he’s gotta get Chisora early.
Will be massive ask to come back after 3 (maybe) defeats.

Whoa. I had no idea they were working on this bout. It’s a good one. If Price loses his career is completely derailed but if he wins he’s right back in the mix. Might be moving too fast but props for taking risks like this.

Posted November 13, 2013 4:01 pm

Three KOs in a row for Price … Not a wise move picking Del Boy.

Posted November 13, 2013 4:00 pm

This is like a wrestling-style retirement match because, let’s face it, there really is nowhere for the loser to go after this. And the winner will face Browne in a mandatory and then be a contender to fight the loser (or maybe even winner) of Haye-Fury so potentially 3 fights from a title shot.

Posted November 13, 2013 3:31 pm

Boxing fans always complaining about the top guys not facing each other…so big credit to Price for taking this at this point. And Price being 30 or 31yrs old he needs to be in the mix or find another job.Yes he could have pulled a Wilder festing on stiffs for 6 or 7 fights more then try for a well paid title shot, but instead doing this I give him credit.Hopefully the change in trainers was enough to help Price get past this level and move on…if not then its time to hang them up.Chisora with his pressure style will show if Price is ready to swim or sink, this is a good fight to see if Price fixed his flaws. This will be the last time we hear about Price or he will be back in the thick of things…moving onward. Its to bad team Price wasnt smarter moving Price early in his career,he wouldnt now be in this type of situation. But I am glad now their not wasting time and want to see where he really stands.

Dell boy wins

Posted November 13, 2013 3:23 pm

Chisora knows he just has to jump on him from the opening bell and stay on him, and they won’t have to bother signalling the end of the second round.

Posted November 13, 2013 3:08 pm

mr gav

Ok its a fight that will sell out but bad management from frank warren one of his guys is going to get koed this hasn’t got points victory on it. Price can bang and though del boy is tough he was still knocked out by David haye. He went 12 rounds with a one handed vitali but price certainly has power to ko him. But price is slow and sluggish so it’s a typical who bangs first

Posted November 13, 2013 3:01 pm

Die Siener

Interesting fight, if Price has some confidence going into the fight he will ko Delboy. However if he is timid and scared and let’s Delboy push him onto the back foot Delboy will ware him down with his cardi and Price will panic and quit again in the late rounds. Price has a ver fragile psyche and Delboy will get to him if he does not learn some coping strategies before the bout.

IF THIS match gets made PRICE could be facing the abyss of retirement. The new and improved DELBOY will steam through him, if he hasn’t made the myriad of adjustments with ADAM BOOTH.

I’ve always thought PRICE is top heavy, particularly in his back for his lower half to effectively compensate and is very robotic in his movement, particularly in his footwork.

BOOTH is one man who can assist in his redevelopment, but one training camp on the back of two whippings may not be enough. momentum is key and DELBOY has been in with them all: KLITSCHKO, HAYE, FURY, HELLENIUS whereas PRICE made his name hammering three 40 year olds in a row, with the likes of HARRISON and THE BEDFORD BEAR.

It will be interesting if Del Boy gets up in PRICE’S face at the presser, but I think he won’t as he respects Price, who in himself has a ready-made career as a colour man, if he gets stiffed by DEL….

This is one fight I would like to see as CHISORA has all the momentum, but BOOTH is always capable of pulling a rabbit out the hat!

Posted November 13, 2013 2:35 pm

Damn they just wont give up will they? Shoving B and C level HW’s down our throats as credible future champs. Thank GOD the WBO isnt vacant at HW otherwise Flank Whorring would have already handed it to one of his fighters.

I hope price gets sparked into jimmy corkhills back fence the scouse prick!!

Posted November 13, 2013 2:23 pm

I give Price a decent chance of stopping Chisora who has looked vulnerable after he got KO’ed by Haye. But if he can’t get it done in the first 4 rounds, he’s probably going to wilt and get stopped himself. Very risky fight for Price.

Chisora doesn’t have the skills to ko Price and price has the power to ko Chisora within a few round.

Posted November 13, 2013 2:19 pm

Jeez. How many lives do British boxers have? This guy just got Ko’ed, twice. And he’s fighting for a title (albeit an national one)? Second, didn’t the big oaf learn his lesson about biting off more than he can chew? He’s got serious flaws that need to be worked out in the gym and against less dangerous opponents than Chisora.

Posted November 13, 2013 2:17 pm

Vlad the Impaler

Wow! This is surprising. I always said Thompson was one the best boxers in the world. Besides getting KO’d by W.Klitschko, he went 12 rounds with Pulev. Chisora is still relevant after losing only to V.Klitschko, Haye, and 12 rounds with Fury. IF.. If Price can beat Chisora, I say Price is back in the mix too. Chisora after all, has been very busy. Maybe he is spreading himself a little to thin.. We will have to wait and see. Let’s get it sorted out! Hats off to both fighters. Meanwhile Deontay Wilder is fighting some guy with a recoded of 11-16-7. (sarcasm)

Posted November 13, 2013 2:04 pm

I like Price. I like that he can take a man out with one shot and that he has great size. But there is no getting around the fact that he does not take a great punch. This is it for him. (Of course, I said that about Audley ten times or more.) If he gets stopped again, he must give it up. I am pulling for Price, but I don’t see him winning this. Credit to Chisora, though, for staying active and fighting anyone.
Too bad the Wilder fight fell through.

Posted November 13, 2013 1:56 pm

Delboy to end Price’s career. Go, Delboy! I like Price, but this fight is a VERY bad choide to rebuild his confidence.

Posted November 13, 2013 1:55 pm

Price will retire after this fight, Chisora was WRONG from a style point of view before the two Thompson losses and he’s twice as wrong for Price now after the two Thompson defeats. I struggle to think of a worse managed British heavyweight. Truly shocking! The two Thompson fights were bad bad bad matchmaking, this is even worse!
